Here’s Where to Spend 36 Food and Wine-Filled Hours in Lodi - Eater SF

"Jeremy Trettevik spent about 20 years in the wine industry before launching his own label Jeremy Wine Co. and his breadth of knowledge shows in his approach. His wines, mostly Italian red varietals and zins, are fun and delicious, and the Jeremiah’s Jug program is one of just a few like it in the region: Customers can buy a 1-liter jug and fill it at the downtown tasting room with Jeremy’s latest blend. (He’s currently on blend number 38 and has never made the same one twice.) Folks can experience Jeremy wines in two distinct environments — either the downtown tasting room with a spacious, dog-friendly patio or the barrel room in the country setting of Lockeford, just a few miles from central Lodi. The former is open daily from noon to 5 p.m., and the latter offers snacks like cheese and charcuterie. Relevant for sweet wine drinkers, the Sweetheart collection, marked with a heart, indicates sweeter blends like an indulgent chocolate port-style wine that drinks like a complete dessert." - Laura Smith Borrman

Google
My wife and I stopped by Jeremy's yesterday to pick up her membership order. Both locations are great, but I especially enjoy the Lockeford location. It has cozy indoor seating and a comfortable patio with stunning views of the vineyard. The staff is always fantastic—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It’s always a great time whenever we visit.

I love this place, my husband met Jeremy a year ago and did realize it was Jeremy, but those two connected like they knew each other for years , we met Jeremy at last years wine and chocolate wine tours and we became wine members and so glad we did since moving to the valley, their wines are so delicious. We been to both downtown lodi wine bar and Jeremy's wine Vinyard in lockford. Lockford is so beautiful. you sit out in the patio looking over the Vinyard. Once you become members. you can bring your own picnic to their tables as long you buy their wines. It's so worth it. We have been members for about 1 years now, so happy with our choice. Lodi wine is so much better than Napa without all the hype of the celebrities ruining it. come while you can before it turns into expensive Napa

Always outstanding red wines; try the Jug too - it's always more than good! Both locations are welcoming and the tasting experience is top notch. Events at the winery along CA-88 are always fun. We're wine club members and glad of it!

We are normally not boxed wine folks but we were intrigued by the packaging, marketing, and we're big fans of old vine Zin. The facility was very nice and the 2 young women who assisted us were knowledgeable and helpful. The boxed wine bang for the buck is excellent. Very good quality.

The crew here is always friendly and willing to answer questions. They work with everyone's taste and will find something each person will love. Jeremy, the wine maker and name sake, is often found waking around, talking to patrons and getting to know each person. His love of wine and knowledge shines through with each encounter. The tasting room inside is well appointed and comfortable for groups of any size. Not to be out done, the patio is the star of the show with comfortable seats, umbrellas and a breathtaking view of the vineyards. Plan to taste wine, get a glass and then sit and enjoy the ambiance. Looking forward to returning in Oct when the new wines come out.

The new barrel house tasting room is comfortable and open and has unique tasting flights from the Lodi tasting room. Very much worth a nice drive out in the rolling hills! Staff is friendly and attentive and you never know who else you might meet!

Yelp
The staff are super friendly. Beautiful winery. On a nice warm sunny day, looking out at the vineyard while sipping wine is listening to music and laughter with great company, makes an awesome day. Stop by and visit and taste some amazing delicious wines.

Yelp
We really enjoyed their vineyard tasting room. Wine stewards were very attentive & informative. Lots of seating insde & outside. I loved that there are 2 flights to choose from, one of them being sweet, which you don't get much of in Lodi. I took home a bottle of orange muscat & sweet viognier. Looking forward to warm patio evenings with these 2 bottles.

Yelp
I recently experienced wine tasting at Jeremy Winery in Lockeford, CA. Our group had a great time. They had a live band which is not the norm. So that was a super special treat. They serve wine flights, wine by the glass, or by the bottle. Their wine barrel tasting room and outdoor covered patio are perfect settings to enjoy the wine. As we stepped into the wind barrel tasting room, we were immediately greeted and poured a sample of wine. The tasting room had a beautiful industrial rustic look. High ceilings, spacious feel. They have pub tables and comfy sofa seating. It is temperature controlled, perfect on those hot Valley days. They have a roll up glass garage door that brought in plenty of natural light and a view of the outdoor patio. The outdoor patio is covered and overlooks the vineyards of nearly 100 year old Zinfandel vines. Full confession, I am not a wine aficionado. I do not know anything about notes or can tell you the difference between a Zinfandel versus a Riesling. I trust my tastebuds and like what I like. What I like is their 2022 Dry Zinfandel Rose. I am sure I would have enjoyed their other offerings but stuck with the Rose. The staff here are down to earth, no pretentiousness. Very welcoming. The wine flights are $10 for three 2 oz pours. The wine by the glass is $7-12 and they have bottle service. Plus they offer an one liter growler called Jeremiah's Jug which is refillable. Fill 'er up! If you like to munch as you drink (like myself), they have a small marketplace and gift shop in the tasting room. They sell snacks, local cheeses, and charcuterie. Great to pair with the wine. For folks that are use to the hub bub of Napa and expect a Disneyland -ish family (with children) wine experience, this ain't it.

Yelp
It was our first time going here. The woman from LVVR Winery suggested it to our party. Great suggestion! It's a pretty big winery. I love all the wine barrels. I love the layout. You walk in and you are automatically greeted with a complimentary glass of wine to try while you are seated. The ladies are very friendly and helpful. You get 3 glasses of wine to sample. Let me tell you, they are not stingy with the tasting amount lol. I was feeling good after wine tasting over here. They have a little market where you can purchase little snacks to go with your wines. I would highly suggest purchasing some snacks. Their wines are really good. So good we ended up signing up to become members. We purchased a couple bottles as well. I absolutely recommend this winery. Everyone in our party loved it here and bought a few bottles.

Yelp
Located on a busy road, remember to cautiously slow down so you won't miss the exit to enter the winery because there's no signage. Once you get to the winery, parking is limited in front of the main building but there's extra parking on the winery building side, which is also limited, but there were people parking parallel to the field. Great service right when we walked in. Staff gave us a complementary drink as we checked in with them for the type of service they offer. We chose to do a tasting. I got Flight #2 - Club Flight: Budbreak Blend, Winemakers Blend, and 2020 Alicante Bouschet served in clear stemless wine glasses on a curved wooden tray holder for cups. All are reds and tasted great! Ended up buying a bottle of the Winemakers Blend. Outside food is allowed. They do offer for sale single packaged charcuterie food items. The staff who greeted us (didn't catch her name) was super friendly. We even met Jeremy! He too was super friendly and very easy to talk to. However, there was one staff who we felt was pushing us to leave since we were done with our drinks. She kept coming by to see if we needed anything even though we told her no. Overall, everyone working there was super friendly and which made the experience even better. Overall, this is a very cute and relaxing winery. Nice place to go with friends or even for a date night. The decor is warm and welcoming. Plenty of seatings.

Yelp
I am so pumped to be the 1st one to review Jeremy Wine Co newest location...we came here today and have been looking forward since Jeremy the owner announced this location over the summer. Located on a great piece of property with great views of Zinfandel vines in all directions. Inside they did an amazing job with making this place look very modern, roomy, comfortable and very welcoming. They have both table settings both high and low and other options. Inside also offers snack options including build your own charcuterie choices. Today was a little chilly when we arrived but after warming up a little they opened up the back garage doors to a massive outdoor patio setting with gorgeous views of the vineyard. The wine options are what you would expect from Jeremy Wine Co...completely amazing and delicious just in this new amazing setting. We have been member almost since the beginning and have loved watching how popular this wine has become. If you like Zinfandels and haven't tried Jeremy then you are missing out on a piece of life. But to be honest all of their wines are delicious and always love trying his new creations year after year plus some annual favorites. If you are in the Lockeford or Lodi area and are thinking or doing some wine tasting this is must on the bucket list. Both their in town tasting room and now this new barrel room are truly amazing. One key suggestion you must try their jug wine. This is ever changing with blends of different kinds of grapes and always delicious. Great job Jeremy and Choral on this amazing new place!!!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Jeremy Wine for quite some time, as this is my friend's favorite winery and she is always raving about it! We went here for her birthday party yesterday and had a blast. The wine was exceptional and the tasting room and grounds were very pretty. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable and very attentive. After talking to my friend's husband, who is a long time friend of Jeremy, we found out a lot of interesting background about the winery and how it has grown over the years! Safe to say, we are now members.

Yelp
Owner is friendly and the wine is good. I typically don't like ports, but they have one with 5 lbs of chocolate! Owner is welcoming and knowledgeable! #wineandchocolate

Yelp
Francesca was amazing. We loved so many wines here, and Francesca took the time to educate us on each one and then ended the tasting with a delicious chocolate port. Lived the drcor, open and industrisl with walls of barreks to warm it up. Picked up several wines to enjoy at home and give as gifts. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Yelp
Went to try out Jeremy's Wine today. Absolutely love the vibe, the employees and the wine! Beautiful setting. I'm hoping to go back when it's a little warmer so we can sit out in their back patio. Jeremy came over and introduced himself to our group. Friendly guy with great staff. We will definitely be back with more friends to enjoy their wine.

Yelp
We were driving through after an AKC field trial and decided to stop in after seeing the sign and WOW! Everything we tasted as amazing and the owner was on site. Lovely staff, delicious wines, great views; what more could you ask for!

Yelp
Although some have rated the wines higher I found them sort of mediocre. Nothing bad but they all tasted sort of the same. a bit disappointing.

Yelp
We've passed Jeremy Winery on 88 a few times and I loved the look of it. We finally stopped to taste and the wines are really good. The owner also does a monthly blend that they sell by the jug (1 liter) and you can bring back for refills. Such a fun vibe, friendly staff and a variety of snacks!! The owner is very involved and walks through tasting room introducing himself. Nice to meet you Jeremy!! Yes we joined!! Oh and they're dog friendly....

Yelp
This location is so cool. The views are stunning and of course the wine is delicious. My ONE recommendation is that they start creating their own charcuterie boards, rather than selling the individual items. We spent about $50 putting together 3-4 cheeses, jam, nuts, meats and crackers and then had leftover stuff that we had no way to keep cold so it was money down the drain. Offering a $20 cheese board would make way more sense. Other than that, this place is so fun to visit and can't wait to come back!
