Jerrell's BETR BRGR - Hoboken

This cool vegan burger joint definitely has a good vibe. Their menu includes a few different burgers, fries, and shakes. I thought the burger was pretty good, albeit a little too meaty for me personally. The bun was really tasty and the chocolate milkshake was one of the best I’ve had! I’d definitely go back just for the oat milk shake. Overall, it was good, just not personally great for me. :)

So yeah….I’m obsessed with Jerrell’s Betr BRGR! The taste definitely has a personal touch, because it’s delicious. I’ve experienced many vegan/plant based burgers & they all didn’t taste all that well. But when I come across a really GOOD burger, I have to share the experience! Wasn’t crazy wild about the chili fries but I’ve never been wild about chili. (I think it was too sweet). The milkshake & ice cream was also delicious! Though I haven’t had the pleasure of dining inside, I can say the space is spacious! The store associate was kind & accommodating on all 3 visits. Definitely worth every penny spent & visiting again & again!

The store is modern, very colorful and beautifully decorated with wallpaper and paintings. There are few high tables and few regular ones to sit and dine. The plant based burger is very interesting. The paddy needs little bit more seasoning or flavor for my liking, but I still managed to finish the little burger. The potato wedges were okay, probably could have used some more salt. The milkshake was too thick and too sweet. The associate at counter was really nice, helped us with the menu and brought our food to the table. Food got ready within a decent time.

I was so excited to try this new vegan restaurant. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. The place was super cute. A very nice server took my order. I got the Lil BETR BRGR, waffle fries, and oreo shake. It came out in about 10 to 15 minutes. When I dug in, the food looked good and tasted pretty good. The shake was just a little too sweet. All in all I had a good experience.

The burger is great for a vegan burger and the fries are delicious but that's where my praise ends. Ate inside for lunch today with my gf and it took nearly 15 minutes to make 2 burgers and fries with no one else inside the restaurant. Like I said, the burger is great but my bun was burnt to the point where I could taste the char. I could hear cook in the kitchen singing and yapping the whole time we were waiting for the food. I don't understand how you could burn a bun when there's literally 2 customers in the store. Aside from that, it's dead silent inside, no music playing, the floor is dirty, paint is chipping on the walls and the chairs and they have napkins in the bathroom instead of paper towels. Every surface just looks filthy. Whoever is managing this location obviously isn't doing their job.

It was dead on Wednesday evening at 7. I see what other people are saying about rude service. When I came in the worker behind the counter was on the phone and didn’t greet me and put his finger up in front of my face. The woman who took my order put a glove on to make my shake then used that hand to touch her phone and watch a video with the other worker and then continued to make the shake. Umm.. that defeats the purpose of a glove. The vibe is very bright, old school diner meets punk urban. Plenty of tables and two bathrooms in the back!! Shakes are priced at 8.50. Huge though, enough for sharing and delicious. Very sweet but very good for vegan. When I got the rest of my food it smelled so good. Burger piping hot and delicious couldn’t even tell it was a beyond burger. Gooey vegan cheese. Two sauces, a house sauce and a garlic mayo sauce. My favorite was the house sauce to dip the fries in. fries were both crispy and soft the way I like them. They are waffle fries. If you don’t get a shake a burger and fries costs $12-16 which is not bad especially for vegan. It’s like a vegan five guys! I will def keep this in my mind next time I’m in Hoboken.

I’m sure it’s better than a 3. It gets a 3 mainly for the burger. I ordered via DD and requested bacon, onions, cheese and bacon. And they took it upon themselves to add the sauce. I HATE sauces of all kind. But I wanted to taste it. Couldn’t get the magic of the flavor cause the sauce was oozing out, really ruined it for me. And that’s sauce and not cheese. I’ll scrape it to salvage it but I shouldn’t have to.

Another great dining experience, me and my fiancée decided to eat some burgers and fries near the water. Luckily we stopped by Jerrell’s, his staff creates a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Along with great service the food matched it as well. I would recommend this spot any time of the day!

As a hungry vegetarian, I approve this place. I came here and had the double burger and it was very good and I can't believe that I ate it so quickly I was wondering where did the rest go. It's a bright place and there's hardly anybody there. It took a few moments for the burger to be done and that's OK because there was a nearbybasketball shoot machine that I was shooting hoops. Service was OK and they actually look happy there.

"Did you just order an 8.50 shake? That's oat milk?" "Last I heard." "You don't put bourbon in it or nothing?" Turns out this pricey shake is almost as good as the one in Pulp Fiction. The burger itself isn't essential for non-vegans but one can understand the desire to replicate the fast-food experience. The accompaniments are better than the patties, and the chili might be a worthy standalone.

We originally meant to share a burger, shake, and fries, but it was so good we had to get our own of everything! The staff was super patient with me and while I originally ordered a second order of fries, I went back and asked to upgrade it to the loaded chili fries and would pay the difference. They were so kind and said not to worry about it which caught me by surprise but was definitely a nice touch as it shows they care about their customers. The shakes were soo good but I'll admit they tasted more like oat than chocolate or cookies n cream. Don't let this deter you though! The meat was super flavorful and the texture of everything did not give the impression this was vegan for those of you that are timid to try. This is our new go-to fast food spot.

Stopped by on BETR BRGR Hoboken's opening day, and definitely worth the trip! The service here is amazing - The staff members were all so friendly, and went above and beyond, taking time to explain the menu items and providing extra secure packing for my order to-go. The ambiance is fun with bright lights, colors, and even a dart board in the back - Definitely a great place to stop by with friends. The Chocolate Milkshake (made with oat milk) was delicious - Creamy and with a rich chocolate flavor, definitely wouldn't have guessed there wasn't dairy ice cream in here. The Lil BETR BRGR was great - The bun was high quality and delicious, and the secret sauce was great with the patty! Also got waffle fries and many side sauces. Definitely will be back!

I'm not really a vegan person so not much to compare to other places. To me the burger is ok nothing special. Milkshake is really sweet. Very limited menu. It's just 1 type of burger with multiple patties. Service is nice. The staff is friendly. Some seats inside. With door opening/closing all the time, it's somewhat cold sitting inside.

Went to try Jerrell's as part of a Yelp event and I'm glad I did. Staff is super friendly and sweet. The restaurant has beautiful bright colors which adds to its charm. They definitely have the crispiest and freshest waffle fries; possibly my favorite fries yet. While the fries were amazing, the burger was decent. The shake was very oat heavy but still a good vegan shake. You can definitely tell that the food is vegan but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Everything was pretty good and honestly without the added guilt of cholesterol, it's definitely worth it.

Ambiance is okay. Super dead inside. We ordered while sitting next door at the Toast x bowl restaurant eating that sandwich before online ordering next door. Took a while for the burger to come out as we were able to finish the sandwich then scoot over . The food was really good actually. Their patty is impossible meat based but tasted nothing like it and it was thin and delish like an IN and OUT burger. Very reasonable size unlike these restaurant that make the patty 300oz. Service was normal no issues!

Don't normally eat veggie burgers but have this a try and came away really impressed. Great taste and pretty filling for the amount of food it is.

Delicious burgers, waffle fries, and smoothies. The Oreo milkshake was incredibly addictive. Best shake I've had in a looong time. The burger uses an Impossible beef patty which is very convincing . The fact that it's all vegan is great - kinder to other living beings and the earth. Staff was quick and courteous and incredibly warm and professional. Thank you for being so kind :) The decor inside is really nice and playful too, well done!

Jerrell's makes an awesome vegan burger. I love that their bun is so soft and their special dressing gives a nice flavor. The waffle fries are a must so freaking good. Seriously the fries are cooked perfectly and not over salty. This new Hoboken location has great service, and plenty of space.

I would first like to comment on phenomenal customer service. From the moment we walked in to review the menu to the end while we were stuffed beyond belief at the end and Ziara came out to ask how all tasted. Not many fast food locations have chefs that come out to check on how the customers feel about the food after they eat. This alone made this location super special for me next time I'm thinking of where to go for a meal, a snack or even just a shake just because they illustrated how much they care. As for the food... come HUNGRY because these portions and the taste is worth every bite. My daughter ate the BLT and enjoyed the jalapeño spicy vibes. It was so big she ate half with her waffle fries and saved the other half for later. I had the little burger and wow. The selected ingredients such as the lettuce, tomato and pickles were so fresh. You can taste the freshness with every bite. The pickles and lettuce were still crisp which is not normal at fast food locations. The waffle fries were freshly made and cut and cooked perfectly to ensure it's crispiness. Now, time for the milkshake review. DELICIOUS. My new favorite milkshake is now this Oreo milkshake from this location. Wow. Highly recommend.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and I finally came in to the it. First of all the place is super clean, the girl behind the register was frirjdsly, and the service was good. The burger was good but I felt like it lacked in seasoning.the seasoned waffle fries were good as well, they were nice and fresh. I will definitely come back.

Everything vegan? I'm in! I'm not vegan but I try to eat mostly plant based. They used impossible burgers (I believe?) but they don't have that weird aftertaste that faux beef burgers can have. And they have a nice char. The fries were perfectly crisp and salty.

Went in early afternoon, only one there. Staff super friendly. Interior quirky yellow and fun, merch made me hesitate, stare, and imagine myself with their mug full of peppermint tea. My first time, I ordered the super-duper burger, Supr BETR BRGR, and figured I'd go all in. It smelled wonnderful. I asked the woman at the counter if it would taste the same at home as it would eating in. She said it would taste even better cuz I'd be at home. Awwww, more tip for her. lol No lie, this was the best vegan burger I'd had IN MY LIFE. I now understand the hype, the love, the lines, the loyalty. Everything on it worked together and loved each other and wanted to make me love it. It had a vegan patty, vegan cheese, lettuce & tomato, grilled onions, pickles, and Jerrell's special sauce, vegan bacon, vegan chili and jalapeños. I don't know if I can do any less the next time I go there. The taste is well done. It's like eating a big old sloppy burger from a meat place, but has none of the big sloppy meat burger after-effects. None of the guilt. lol None of the consequences and repercussions, if you know what I mean. When I get that craving for a big old sloppy hamburger, I'm not checkin for 'cinco guys' no more, I'm headed to Hoboken for this, and then frolicking my ass to a table to dine. Go git it! No, for real, GO! and bring your meat-loving friends.

Came here for late night food around midnight. Ordered a bacon cheese burger with all the toppings (lettuce, tomatos, grilled onions, pickles, special sauce) and chili cheese fries. The food was ok. Burger could use more flavor and the toppings were too minimal for me that it felt like I was eating just a burger and bun. Not my favorite vegan burger but for a late night grab, it'll do. Chili cheese fries were OK too. It was more chili and cheese than actual fries.

Our favorite burger place in Hoboken!!!, since the equally amazing Vegbar on the corner of Jefferson and Observer closed down (--great food / bad location). Burgers are great, and HIGHLY recommend the chilli waffle fries!!!

I've always loved Jerrell's in NYC and was happy to see they have expanded to an actual sit down spot in Hoboken! The burgers are so delish that even my meat eating friends love them. The chili is also so good and the oat milk soft serve is amazing. Jerrell and his staff are so warm and inviting. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Great design and comfortable, casual seating. Deliciously indulgent vegan food. Nobody in our family is vegan but we all loved it, including kids aged 12yo and 15yo. They particularly enjoyed the "Oat Shakes" made with Oat Milk. One of my kids thinks it was the best shake he's ever had.

Staff was amazing, the food not so much. I didn't realize it was Impossible meat until we got there so that was already a no. I would rate this a 2 if not how nice the guy was who took our order. Everything just taste processed. I wouldn't recommend to an actual vegan. You're left with a weird aftertaste and headache from the processed food. The price is mid.

Excellent spot. 1) Their burgers are amazing. 2) This place is 100% vegan, but the food is top notch. 3) Their fires are unbelievable.

I will admit that we were sidetracked from our original dinner destination to stop at Jerrell's since this is one of the few newish places in Hoboken. The ambiance was a little too bare for my liking with the bright yellow lights and chairs. We ordered the mini burgers and they were not that bad, but half way through dinner, it felt like mush. The winner was the Oat Milk Shake (chocolate). If I do stop by again, it will be only for the oat shake and not dinner.

My boyfriend '& I had a taste for a milkshake but he's vegan so we ended up here. I personally never heard of this restaurant but i was so happy to see that they were open late (2am). I got a lil brgr with a lettuce bun (love that since I'm not too fond of bread now a days) with everything on it with a cookies & cream milkshake. When i mean it was the best thing i ever had i truly mean it. Everything was made to perfection & that milkshake was so good that i had to get an extra one to go. It reminds me of a vegan shake shack because everything is made fresh Bonus points for being clean at midnight lol

Manhattan location has better quality in food but this location provides a clean and spacious venue to enjoy your food.

Seriously went here by accident thinking it was a different thing. Surprised after enjoying to find out that that I had just had a meatless burger. Definitely Definitely tastes like a quality regular cow burger. I had the OG Burger and was completely satisfied. The texture, flavor, and taste was completely clean and inviting. I will be going here again, because honestly I felt much better after eating this than when I eat shake shack. Don't get me wrong I love shake shack, but this is a better burger all the way around. Casual burger place with no reason to feel guilty and completely approachable unpretentious venue. go try it its just a great burger, no but.

Fast food vegan [using impossible meat as the patty]. The first time I had this, I loved it. In my subsequent tastes....I've wondered about the health factor of what I'm eating, amount of sodium etc etc. Startered wondeing if they could benefit from using different burger types to vary the experience..Thus, i am not as enamored as my first time there. However, on a late night with not many other options open, I can see this food hitting the spot. You can get a single patty or double patty...plus condiments... the waffle fries are very good. My absolute favorite though is the soft serve oat based ice cream with cookie toppings. Would make a drive just to experience that

I stopped by this establishment to try the single patty. The burger was very good. My only peeve was the seeded bun. I personally prefer a plain bun. I would recommend trying them.

Rating is almost more than 3 for sure. Few reasons - it's open throughout midnight. Food is decent imitation of plant based alternatives for burger. FYI, you can get the lettuce based wrap although I would prefer the burger version. The problem is the dine in - no cutleries or utensils. Food comes with take home wraps. There's absolutely no plates you can place your burger to eat on. It's a germaphobe's nightmare on a busy day where you're supposed to eat on the tables that contains leftover vegan cheeses and whatnot. I understand and respect the motto behind it but getting rid of cutleries sounds off more like being cheap. There are edible cutleries and wouldn't mind paying extra to use it. Just an FYI to the owner and the management.

Super simple: food was good! If you're a meat eater, it's still very much worth the try because the burgers taste so good. Not to mention the "milk" shake. I'll be back to try the chili fries!

I got 3 things: O.G better burger, waffle fries, and their strawberry milkshake. I gave 5 stars bc I truly haven't tried a vegan burger this GREAT. Like I was really honestly surprised and happy to have found this place. The fries and sauce that it comes w could be a good chick fil a waffle fry dupe. The milkshake had a little too much artificial strawberry taste but overall was happy w everything

Jerrel's has the best vegan burger and milkshake I've had! They also have vegan chili and soft serve. I was surprised there weren't many other customers because of how great the food is. The employee was also friendly and our meals were ready fast. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

My husband and I were looking to treat ourselves to delicious vegan burgers, fries and Milkshakes and Jerrell's delivered. I ordered the OG burger double impossible patties with toppings. I ordered it as it was on the menu with waffle fries and a chocolate Milkshakes. My husband ordered a special burger with waffle fries and a strawberry Milkshake . The food was absolutely delicious I loved how the food smelled the presentation and it was delicious with every bite. My husband appreciated that they used real strawberries in the Milkshake. There are a lot of great places to eat vegan burgers , fries and Milkshakes but I definitely think this place is worth a try. I also loved how the place was decorated. The service was great as well we were taken care of quickly and we received our food quickly please keep in mind this was during the day on a week day. I also like that they are open late and they have a good amount of seating great if you are going there with a few friends .

BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB ASS BURGERS! I never leave reviews, but had to for this place. I've been vegan for 6 years and this is hands down best vegan burgers I have ever had.

Burger was Luke warm. Fries were not fresh. The pineapple shake was a bit loose not as thick as the shop in NYC. It was good but a bit too loose. Would not order online. Ordered online and requested food delivered to my car so I wouldn't have to look for parking. Never got the food delivered and to one responded to my text about my order. Had to get out my car and run inside. Risking a ticket for food just ain't my thang!

the service was awesome, staff was very friendly! great portion sizes too, i only ordered a side but was pleasantly surprised with how much food i got. i had been meaning to try this place and it exceeded my expectations :)
