If you're cruising down the 215 and your stomach starts grumbling, stop everything and pull into this little hole in the wall. I think this place used to be an actual home because it gives off that cozy feeling. And the vibe? Pure love. The staff treats you like you're a regular, even if it's your first time there. They're so friendly, you half expect them to pinch your cheeks and ask if you've eaten enough! Lol
Now, I won't lie--waiting for the check can take a minute. But you try not to get annoyed because the ladies are sweet and grateful for your patience. Today, I started my meal with a morning Michelada. This thing is life-changing. A tajín-rimmed glass with a side of cucumber. It was refreshing.
I've only been here twice, and both times, the red menudo has been calling my name. It's a bowl of pure magic, loaded with all the fixings and paired with tortillas. But next time, I swear I'm gonna branch out and try something else, although my michelada ain't going nowhere!!
So, if you're debating whether to stop by, just do it. Your taste buds will thank you, and your stomach will be eternally grateful. Just prepare to fall a little bit in love.
