Jerry's Gourmet Burgers

Really unique local gem, there are cats walking around and tropical plants all around the building. I had the 1/2 pound mushroom swiss burger and it was the most juicy, greasy burger I've ever had...the buns were soaked through!! The French fries are double battered, so they're pretty crunchy. My favorite thing was the pineapple cake... it was so light and fluffy, with mini pineapple chunks in the whipped cream icing. So good I had two slices! Just be warned, the wait time for the food can be a full hour...but it's really good food if you're patient with the wait.

12 dollars for the 1/4 pound smash burger and it was. not. good. The meat was dry, and I'm guessing patties slathered with mustard and cooked because it was overpowered with mustard you couldn't taste the dry meat or cheese. Two bites and threw it away. I honestly do not understand the hype of this place. Was excited to finally give it a try and it was a huge let down. There was nothing gourmet or tasty about this burger. And this is a burger joint. We figured that if we got a burger and it was good then we would give other items a try. Maybe it was an off night for whoever was cooking that day, but my Family and I will not be repeat customers.

I stumbled on this gem by accident. I had a quarter pound cheeseburger with everything and fries, delicious! This is the real old fashioned 🍔 dripping with meat juices and sauce. I gave the atmosphere 3 stars, because the atmosphere is great for an old school hamburger stand, but maybe not what 5star atmosphere is thought to mean. It takes 30 minutes to get your burger because they cook it from scratch, and it's worth the wait. Not "fast food" ☺️

I never would have thought this place sold great hamburgers. Just from the looks of it outside you do not expect much. I was blown away, this was an awesome burger and puts any other burger place to shame. The meat was awesome and the service was great. The one thing I will tell you, you need to call ahead as it can take 20-30 min for them to make your order. On the weekends it can take a couple of hours depending on how busy they are.

The smash burger was well worth the wait and very good. The fries were also good, and the pineapple cake was great, too.

I will gladly drive 45 minutes to get a burger, fries, and pineapple cake from Jerrys! It is one of the best burger places I've ever been to. They are made fresh when you order, so be patient.

The pineapple is light, the whipped cream is light, the cake is delightful. I love that it's not to sweet.

Takes a while to get your food , around 20 to 30 minutes but wow are the burgers and fries good Got a half pound smash burger combo and the fries were also really good, Make sure to get a side of ranch and bring something to drink because they don't serve any drinks because of the deal they have with the gas station. Come by if your not in a hurry! Good guys and good food

We tried Jerry's while passing through Villa Rica today. They make some really good burgers. We all had the smash burgers. They are very meaty with more burger than bun. They have a very limited menu with burgers, a chicken sandwich, Philly Cheesesteaks chicken tenders and a hot dog. Their fries are unusual. They are battered and I liked them but everyone in our party did not. There is very limited seating outside on the porch with two picnic tables. It seems most folks get their burgers to go. They also do not sell drinks. Being in a convenience store parking lot I guess part of their agreement with the Shell station is you have to go in there for your drinks. Service took a while. Everything is made to order so you do have to wait. I guess most people call in ahead of time. All in all they deliver a pretty good burger. But with the prices, lack of seating, and wait time couldn't go over 3 stars. But it was a good burger so check them out in your nearby and have the time.

The burger had 0 flavor, with the reviews and rating I totally expected more and they seem to have a big following. I was also grossed out by the cats hanging around on the porch and i really didn't feel comfortable eating there w/the condition of the place. This just isn't my burger spot. The cashier was really pleasant.

Me and my husband came by recommendation from our neighbors. We ordered our burgers, but then got quickly turned off by all the feral cats roaming around the building. I even saw one of the workers open the window and throw out a ball of raw meat on the counter for one of the cats to eat. We got our burgers and we will never be back.

The burgers were amazing. They were juicy and cooked to perfection. The two guys doing the cooking were very personable.. it was a great place for a great burger.

Best burger place on the West side of Atlanta. First time trying and it's amazing. If u want a good burger come here. It a hole in the wall spot and it looks like a flower shop. But get the SMASH burger instead of the regular cheeseburger. Nothing less than a 5 star!!!

Stumbled onto this place coming back from Atlanta to Birmingham. Yellow/red building next to a Shell (you need to buy your drinks at the Shell; no biggie). Ordered two cheeseburgers with fries. Made to order; about a 15-20 min. wait. Worth the wait! Very tasty burger and great fries!! Highly recommend!

First time dining there. Great burger, smoking hot off the grille, great taste, reasonably priced. Fries were good too. No beverages due to convenience store adjacent, but short walk to get something. I'll definitely be back

The food is amazing, make sure you get everything as it comes the first time you come!! Do not expect this to be your everyday fast food !! The tempura fries are amazing, they will call you before they drop the fries to make sure that when you get them, they are perfect!! what this place lacking size they make up for in flavor. The ambience kind of lacking but for a dive bar burger you can't get any better!

One of the worst burgers I have ever had. They must cook them like Krystal burgers. They are so wet. I couldn't eat my bread it was soggy. Also the prices are terrible high. The price would not be such a issue if the burger was just a little bit better. NEVER AGAIN.

OMG ! I just ordered a quarter lb. Cheeseburger and fries. It took about 30 min to slow cook with the onions + pickles and cheese, but boy was it worth the wait., the fries were crunchy on the outside and soft inside, ate most them on the way home. Truly Jerrys is the Best Burger Spot in Villa Rica ....Linda

If you have the opportunity to try out this place, Do It! Reasonably priced, great Quality Burgers and fries were absolutely delicious! Staff in masks and gloves. Walk up place your order or call ahead for pick up. Everything is cooked to order so do not expect fast food! Place is totally worth the wait! If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we will definitely be stopping by!

Fantastic burgers and the my are made to order. If you are looking for a quick drive through this is not it. Place the order at the walk up deck and wait your 5-10 minutes how ever long the line is, to have your burger hand made from scratch. The only reason i am giving 4 stars and not five is the lengthy wait. But it's totally worth the wait!

I ordered the quarter pound burger. The insides of the burger were delicious but the bun was very thin and flimsy. It needed a sturdier bun for such big burger. French fries were great. Will try them again, maybe it was time of day, maybe they ran out of buns and grabbed what the could from the convenience store next door.

We were driving through on a road trip and decided to stop and try this place based on reviews. It was totally worth it! Burgers were amazing and the fries were excellent. Not sure what they do to the fries but it was some sort of batter that made them very crispy/crunchy. We got the 1/2 and ¼ pound cheese burgers and ¼ pound smash burger combos and they did not disappoint. Took about 20 min to get the order so be aware it is not a fast food joint. Stu was super nice taking our order and Jerry even came out from the kitchen to say hello. Super nice folks. Note that they do not sell drinks, but you can run over to the gas station next door to buy them. Also only two outdoor picnic tables to sit at, but it seemed like most folks were locals getting pick up orders. So we're pretty much had the place to ourselves. Would highly recommend and am now looking for reasons to come back now. ;)

Food was out of site! Got the smash burger and blew me away, and the fries were some of the best in business! I highly recommend this place! The people were great and the atmosphere was wonderful!

Jerry's is one of my favorite burger joints . He has HUGE burgers and they are so filling I can barely eat a whole one by myself I usually have to split it but it's so yummy so I can't complain . The service is always great and he's very nice ! The ambiance is super cute I love the building he is in with the plants . Highly recommend this place ! 10/10

This is, by far, the best spot in VR, and I dare say, the best burger I've ever had. (After living in ATL and having a lot of great burgers...) Incredibly juicy, massive patties (and delightful mix of high quality beef) with mouthwatering cooked onion and all the other toppings you could want. You're gonna need allll the paper towels for all of that juicy goodness. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, but I assure you it's worth it. Calling ahead and placing your order is the best way to go. Even better, they'll wait to drop the mind-bogglingly good battered fries until you get there so they're hot, fresh, and crispy. Rustic and simple, you can eat on the patio and grab drinks at the gas station next door, but there's nothing unsophisticated about this food. Jerry and his assistant are super friendly and are slinging food worth a far drive. We are new to the area but are taking everyone we know--they've got loyal customers in us!

I am a new resident of Villa Rica so I have been trying all the local fare to see what my regular establishments will be. This has been my favorite experience so far and I will say that it is my favorite burger that I have ever had. I consider myself to have a pretty diverse palate and to be well versed in fine dining over the years. I have been to dives as well as Michelin Star rated restaurants and most of my vacations involve finding the best local food that a city has to offer. I say that to say that this is wonderfully delicious and pleasantly unique dining experience. The 1/2 burger is exactly what a quintessential burger should be. A balanced blend of meats that has been artistically seasoned to enhance the flavor without covering up the meats natural delicacy. This is a juicy masterpiece. It is cooked to order, so it is always perfectly fresh. Your patience will be rewarded I assure you. I recommend getting the burger fully dressed as it is in the menu. The grilled onions are a perfect accoutrement. The fries are honestly some of the best you will ever experience. They are battered and fried to perfection and they are fried to order so you will never get a batch that have been under a heat lamp. The purveyors of the feast wisely provide you with your own roll of paper towels and a bottle of ketchup if you eat there. They have two picnic tables on the front porch where you can ensure you are eating the meal as fresh as it is intended to be. You will also be able to be serenaded by their hi-fidelity stereo equipment they have set up inside the kitchen. You will always get to speak to the owner and the wonderful chef as well. They want to make sure that your dining experience was everything that you hoped it would be. They are kind and gracious and are genuinely passionate about their craft. The entire experience is exactly what makes this a treasure in the Villa Rica community and I can not stress to you how much I recommend trying this spot. You will not regret it for a second!

The worst service I have ever seen. We looked at yelp and said it was going to be a long wait so we called in 30 mins and got here expecting it to be ready but are now sitting in the car for another 20 mins. There is no reason that a burger should take 50 minutes with no line. Outrageous.

Great burger in an unlikely place. An article in Atlanta magazine pointed Jerry's out and I figured it was worth the drive. It's a shack in a parking lot with no inside seating. Go up to the window on the left side. There is a menu on the counter which doesn't take long to read. If the super nice person taking orders isn't right there, push the button to call her. Slow - a burger takes a good 30 minutes but you're warned when you order. No inside seating - but there are a few booths on the porch in front. No drinks - Jerry's is on the convenience store's property so I guess they're not allowed to compete with drinks. The burger. I ordered mine with the works, medium, plus fries. Yes, indeed, this is a good burger. It looks fairly normal when served but after you take a bite, two things happen. One, you are transported into burger heaven. Two, you recognize what 'with the works' means here. Do prepare yourself by loading up on napkins first. It's messy. The patty itself is very tasty and well prepared but is thick with a small diameter. So you may run out of meat well before you run out of the rest of the burger. The patty could stand to be squished out just a little. Minor point, I'm happy I drove out here. Good fries too. This would be five stars but I have to take points off for not offering drinks and not much seating. The burger and service are five stars.

Yes. My friend from St. Mountain was visiting and wanted a good burger. I suggest Jerry's Gourmet Burger. She loved it!!!! The special blend of meats ( top sirloin and brisket) makes one of the most tasty burgers I've ever had. Be prepared for a little wait if you don't call and order before pick up. Even with the wait, the burger is worth the time. If you have to wait, take that time to enjoy looking at all the flowers and green foliage.

Jerrys is a staple, great burgers and fries, hidden in the parking lot of the shell gas station, the burgers are gourmet, with sautéd mushrooms, yummy sauces, and brioche buns. The staff is friendly but no nonsense, prices are right where they should be, and I don't think u'll be disappointed

I first read about Jerry's on Facebook, so many people raved about this little gem! What caught my eye specifically was a picture of their juicy delicious smash burger. It was gorgeous y'all lol. So after a few weeks of my schedule at work not giving me the opportunity to go during hours I finally had my experience. The wait was INSANE. Let me say it was totally worth it! The food is made on the spot, the attendant actually told us to eat asap since it's meant to be ate fresh so obviously how can we argue with that? Not only was it juicy but the flavors of the season and ingredients blended so well and tasty. Their fries are super tasty also, you can tell they were hand cut. Jerry's food is made with love and it's clear. You'd think the meal would be comparable to sit down restaraunt prices but that's far from the truth. The prices are very fair and the guy working at the window is very nice and informative. There were people travelling to come here actually and I see why. Jerry's is beside a gas station kind of tucked away from sight of the road if you don't know where to look, we had to turn around a few times thinking they relocated. That's the only downfall and possibly parking.

We were traveling through the area and found Jerry's. It's a small walk up shack next to a gas station covered in gorgeous flowers! We ordered smashed burgers, fries & cake. The food is hands down amazing! Jerry & the young man working were so helpful & appreciative. We sat on the porch & enjoyed the food & flowers. I'm so happy we found this little gem!!

Jerry's Gourmet Burgers is amazing! Cooked to temperature ordered, onions were perfectly grilled, and make sure you bring your appetite! I had the 1/2 pounder with aged cheddar, and oh boy, almost couldn't finish it! And I was starving. I am taking a star off because of two things: they ran out of cake and fries, and we had an hour wait. I guess perfection can't be rushed

Worth the drive! "Jerry" was short staffed the day we went but told us so we knew it would take a little bit. There is even a sign that says "this is not FAST FOOD". Jerry was friendly and the food was DEELISH!! Will go again!

We drove from Birmingham to have lunch at Jerry's and it was phenomenal. The burgers, fries, pineapple cake, we haven't had better. Well worth the stop in Villa Rica, we WILL be back, five stars!!

This burger place is the best kind. Kind takes you by surprise from the road and looks like it's been there for years. Food is wonderful and the owner gave us recommendations on which recipes to eat as written and which we could freestyle to get the best experience. We plan to make this at least a monthly spot!

The 1/2 lb burger was very good but very messy. It just had a little too much going on with the sauces. The philly cheesesteak was amazing. The staff are incredibly nice.

To my surprise, best burger spot EVER! Yes, better than Five Guys.... can you believe it? Me either, lol! Jerry's Gourmet Burgers came across my news feed as best burgers in Douglas County.....I said yeah, whatever. Cheat day comes, and I'm like, hmmmm, what shall I eat today? Skeptical about trying a new place when I only get one cheat meal a week, I did and it was d.e.l.i.s.h! Customer service was superb. They take orders by phone, and they cook-to-order so call-in your order. The long wait is definitely worth it!

Easy to miss if you're not paying close attention. Keeping your eyes peeled and nose at attention will be worth the effort! Lots of variety, well cooked, fresh, and fulfilling! Consistent and never disappointing!

I've been to this place three times and just cannot understand why people wait in line to get in there. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The place is marginally clean. The food is nothing special. The service is hurried and spotty and very slow. It is an uncomfortable place. Prices are too high. The Owner is a loud butt hole! Won't see me there again!

Honestly these burgers are some of the best that I've had. Granted it's not a quick order. But they advertise that. And when I called in they even told me it could take a little while. But actually it was faster than they had anticipated. Anyway the burger. The star of the show. It was absolutely freaking delicious. Fresh tasting and moist. It was cooked to perfection. It had a nice crust on the outside and in the center it was nice and pink. What's more, they separated the bread and the lettuce and tomatoes from the patty. So when I took it home it didn't get all messy and soggy. Very thoughtful. I will definitely be going back.

Multiple people told us to try Jerry's when we moved from Cali a couple of years ago. We are here at Tanner waiting on our baby to make her entrance, so I ran across the street to finally try it. We were not disappointed! 5 stars, will come back! The 1/2 lb smash was so juicy and the fries are the best fries I have ever had from a restaurant. Jerry's is a red and yellow building beside the shell station that we almost didn't see. We walked up to the takeout window and ordered our food, went next door to the shell station to buy our sodas, and and sat at the 2 picnic tables for about 35 minutes waiting for our food. However, there was clearly a sign saying this is NOT fast food, and we had 4 burgers in our order. The wait ended up to be worth it. Our food was all fresh and juicy and flavorful. The fries needed a little salt, but that's our only complaint. We loved it.

Lemme tell you something! If you want your lip to smack yo brain out of total shock at the deliciousness you shall encounter here, Stop drop and run your butt to this place when you get a hankering for a burger. I have no idea what kind of substance he adds to his fries, do t know, and do not care. Order. Them.

I think this place was ok. It wasn't horrible, but it most assuredly is no where near "gourmet". The burgers are kind of greasy and sloppy. They are located in a gas station parking lot so they are not allowed to sell drinks so be prepared to purchase drinks at the gas station or take your food to go. Last time I was there they had two picnic style tables outside, but it's right next to the order window and it makes for an awkward and crowded eating space. Truly, you could make the same kind of burger at home. These burgers don't taste bad but I don't think they are worth the trip.

I have had just about everything on the menu and without exception it is all awesome! There is limited outside seating and no drinks are served(you get drinks next door at the gas station) Today we got the Philly Cheese steak and it was just what the doctor ordered. I had a craving and ordered one at Hooters, a day earlier, which was garbage! So this hit the spot! Its highly recommended that you call ahead as wait times can get excessive. No matter what you order make sure you get some fries they are delicious also. If you have time GO you wont regret it. They are closed Sun, Mon, Tues.

One of the BEST BURGERS in Villa Rica. A shack of a place, but makes for character. The customer service is pleasant and friendly. The wait is a little long but we think it's worth every minute. If you go ask Jerry to tell you how he got started...
