A family owned local bar. Overall they have a wide selection of menu items. Classic bar foods. The wings were average. The mac&cheese and the house cut fries were very good. They can get busy.

Google
Your regular neighborhood bar & grille. We opted for takeout and the food was ready before the quoted time. The servers were friendly and the place was pretty busy. Felt lighting was poor inside, and overall not the cleanest. I got the steak quesadilla and it was good - the salsa tasted a bit off. My husband got the BLT and he said his was ok as well. We got the fried squash and zucchini as an appetizer, and I did think those were pretty good. Based off reviews, I was expecting a bit more, so I was a tad let down. But I would try them again.

I went here on the recommendation of 2 friends, and it has now become my favorite place to eat in Jax! I'm a huge French dip fan - I get it whenever a restaurant has it in the menu - and this is hand down the best French dip anywhere. Few places include caramelized onions and horse radish sauce, but Jerry's does. It's these details along with the generous portions of meat that make the food here outstanding. The hand cut fries are worth the upgrade BTW. There are so many items on the menu that look great too, but it's so hard to when my go-to is so good. I did get the prime rib special with broccoli cheddar soup and house cut fries. Fries are so good they don't need ketchup. Prime rib cooked just right. Delicious! The guys next to me thanked me for convincing them to change their orders to this special as well! Tony has daily specials that show how much thought he puts into the menu as I've discussed with other patrons at the bar, and everyone I've talked to is a regular who have been coming for years. The service staff is also very friendly and personal - they know people by name and there are a lot of regulars to know! I brought a friend and it's now his favorite place too. We split a tasty cobbler and couldn't believe the portion! The ambiance is a little dated and dark, but if you like a friendly atmosphere of a family owned and operated (with care) business, you won't be disappointed.

Google
Fun and friendly little spot. This is a great place to get a variety of food and enjoy a football game. We ordered some wings and fries to go. (Hot, BBQ, and Cajun Ranch) Wing size: 8/10 Wing Flavor: 9/10 Wing doneness: 10/10 Ranch 6/10 (too much garlic) Bleu Cheese: 7/10 Fries were crispy and well seasoned.(Light portion)

This was ours first time eating at Jerry's. We were pleasantly surprised. The server was very friendly and helpful. The food was basic but very well done. Also, you better come hungry because you get a massive amount of food. I've never seen a bigger pancake! It was a bit dark inside.

A spontaneous dinner visit to Jerry’s Grille welcomed a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended by a dear friend who helped share great information about this restaurant. Dining area was spacious and comfortable for seating. A large bar situated on the side upon entering with a great view of the kitchen. Television for viewing those sporting events as you enjoy a refreshing beverage. I ordered the fried squash & zucchini appetizer, house salad with the lasagna special of the evening. Dessert was topped off with some homemade pumpkin cheesecake. Oh my how delicious that was! Food was very fresh and tasty. Wait time was fast for my hungry growling belly that was roaring! Our server Molly was very sweet, helpful and professional. Shoutout to her and the entire staff. Jerry’s Grille helped bring back some great memories of the places I grew up near and dined at in New Jersey. I’m sure my next visit will be another great one!

Google
It was my first time there! Went in the late afternoon! So they weren’t really busy. The food is amazing and you get so much. I will be going back! I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and it was humongous. I could barely eat half of it. It was delicious!

Amanda

Google
We started coming to Jerry’s back in 2005/2006 and recently has become one of our regular spots… outside/indoor seating. The service and food are exceptional - they treat us with such respect and like a good ol’ friend.. and most of all they love and accept our service dog with open arms!! And did I say.. their food is delicious!!

Yelp
Always amazing food! Love Tara at the bar... We had mahi and chicken salad sandwiches they were huge and great. Would love to have meatloaf sandwiches or meatballs also.

Yelp
Came to Jerry's for Mother's Day brunch. Place was super busy and it was only shortly after opening. Food took longer than usual but there were a lot of tables and larger parties. Started with Bloody Mary and mimosa. For food, we ordered the cheese roll-up wrap with sausage, the breakfast club sandwich, and the dog house for our kids to split. It was more than enough food. My club was great- very filling. The pancakes are huge so the kids were full and still had plenty to bring home. For kids, there are some claw machine games in the back and little toy machines at the front. We always enjoy their food.

Yelp
Always a great visit whether lunch or dinner or weekend breakfast. Great food, great service, generous portions.

Yelp
Pork chops are really great. And my coleslaw and collard greens. The Tuna dinner was delicious. Thank you. Busy place

Yelp
Jerry's is one of our favorite places. There are specials and happy hour every day. We went on a Wednesday and the special was meatloaf. It was so delicious and came with mashed potatoes & gravy and crispy onions on top. You get a hefty portion for the price. I had some to take home for lunch! My husband got their medium chicken wings which were also very good. They had $10 domestic pictures. All of the servers were helpful and attentive...not just our server. Check it out if your in the area!

Susan P.

Yelp
Salad was mostly brown lettuce. Smothered chicken, topping were good, the chicken was so rubbery I couldn't eat it. Notified server and only option was a replacement. Too late by the time asked. Bill, fully charged. Will think again before I come back.

Yelp
Jerrys is a great place for food. Any of the food is fresh and great. It is a great place for kids as well. The waiters are so nice. Also the service is the best of the best. Also the vibes are so chill and cool. Everyone is so nice and kind. We eat here all the time love Jerrys.

Yelp
I've been giving Jerry's another try after several poor experiences in the past. Their food is always good. Father's Day. We expected it to be crowded and a bit slower than usual but we ordered and 1 hour later we still didn't receive any food. Called our waiter over and she said, after checking the kitchen, that our order still hasn't been started yet. We decided to leave. I get that it's a special day but this wasn't their first time doing these days. When we were first seated we should have been informed that there was going to be an unusually longer wait time and give us the option whether we should stay or leave. No manager or wait staff indicated that there was a delay until we finally asked. A couple at the next table also had the same experience and left as well. By then it was too late to go to another restaurant as they were closing shortly.

Yelp
It's a solid place to get burgers, brunch, drinks, and good times. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive, ambiance is a bar kind of vibes as expected but highly recommend this place for brunch and burgers.

Yelp
Good, messy sandwiches for a bar and grill that delivers delicious food. Quality salads as well. Coworker had the Philly cheesesteak every time and swears by it.

Shelly T.

Yelp
Took almost an hour from order to delivery of food. Slow service People getting food who came in after us. Hope this improves

Yelp
Hubby and I had dinner & movie plans over the weekend. We were both in the mood for chicken tenders. He looked through his Yelp bookmarks, saw Jerry's Grille and just like that dinner was planned. We arrived and thought the building was kind of unassuming. We walked in and like the sign said we sat ourselves. Our server came over quickly and handed us menus. We both ordered the chicken fingers plate. He got his tossed in hot sauce along with a side of fries and a side of hot sauce. I ordered mine plain with cole slaw and three sauces on the side - garlic teriyaki, medium and Cajun ranch. Our chicken fingers came out hot and delicious! They served up 5 huge pieces of chicken. The breading was light, flavorful and had a great crunch. These chicken fingers really hit the spot! And for an added bonus, they were really good reheated in the air fryer the next day. The sauces were very enjoyable. Medium had just the right amount of heat and had a yummy sweetness to it. The garlic teriyaki was very tasty with real pieces of garlic. I loved the Cajun ranch, super creamy with a nice little kick. They inadvertently added fries to my plate. The server apologized and said it was on the house. I'm usually not crazy about crinkle cut fries but these were very good, super crispy. I loved the cole slaw! The cabbage was chopped very small, there wasn't too much mayo and it was ice cold. It was simple with a hint of sweet. Overall, excellent food and service! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place. A buddy of mine had been telling me about Jerry's for a while...and honestly, I figured this place can't be any different than any other grille around town. Boy was I WRONG! Listen-- I Live in the Oakleaf area and I drive all the way to this place, with no problems. The vibe, the customer service , the food..are all GREAT. The owner and her son are both Eagles Fans too..which makes it all better. I usually don't give 5 stars but Jerry's definitely deserve all of them. Even some of my most picky family members request Jerry's multiple times per week. The first time I went there, I got the roasted veggie omelette and added grilled shrimp and chicken. It was AMAZING. Veggies cooked to perfection, not too much salt, and a great portion of meat. My table mate got chicken wings and fries and they were cooked perfectly as well. Their fries are off the chain. One thing that I also really admire is the portion sizes. With companies trying to save money, they are reducing their portions , and Jerry's does not do that. Put it like this, I'm 6'5.... 280lb. And I always leave here with a to go box. I will keep going to Jerry's, and I'm sure they will keep showing love.

Yelp
Went to listen to the band at Jerry's. Great time with everyone. Good menu at Jerry's. One thing they have is a very good prime rib. Our waitress was great and took really good care of us. A nice place to meet friends watch sports on the many screens and enjoy a drink, an appetizer, dinner and just relax.

Yelp
If you have never been to Jerry's you are missing some delicious food. The food is yummy and many delicious daily special options. My latest visit consisted of a group of 9. We were so lucky to be served by Cynthia W. Wow! What great service. Thanks for welcoming our crazy crew! Not many pictures as the chatter of women was nonstop but I can tell you that all plates were clean and the lip smacking happened. Thank you Jerry's and Cynthia. Check out Jerry's you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
I have been craving a French dip sandwich for months and told my husband. He searched high and low for a place that made French dip sandwiches. He came across Jerry's Grille and read all their reviews on Yelp. Everyone that has had the French dip sandwiches was raving about how great they were. Tonight my husband surprised me with takeout and got my favorite meals, Cajun ranch chicken wings and a French drip sandwich. Both meals were mouthwatering and absolutely delicious! I literally cleaned my plate. He ordered a Baja burger with onion rings and said it was the best burger he's ever had. I highly recommend Jerry's Grille!

Yelp
Excellent food and service, Sunday brunch with mimosas is a must! Don't go there when you're in a hurry, the food takes a while sometimes but it's well worth it. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Everything on the menu that I have tried is excellent. My favorite is the blackened fish dinner and you have to get their famous Mac and cheese. Yum. All of the servers are top notch. Drink prices are reasonable and they have various specials during the week. One of my favorites in town.

Yelp
OK, I was surprised on my last visit that I could actually give this place four stars as it is not my kind of place. The hubby and his buddies drink here occasionally so I joined them for my first visit a few months ago. Tonight he and I were just going to get something casual and he wanted chicken tenders so we settled on this spot. They offer vegetarian things for people like me. We found an empty table and I immediately noticed how dirty everything seemed... floors, tables, menus, etc. Our server Tiki was very nice and accommodating to all my special requests but we left with my meal to go and I still think it has an ingredient I don't like in it. But bless her she tried. She is the reason for more than one star. We started with very modified cheese fries which were not great. They are definitely right off the Sysco truck and not hand cut fries. I opted for the veggie wrap with no onions but the veggies were covered in garlic which is not included in the menu description so why add that? They remade it to go but I still smell garlic. I hate garlic and onions! So, after a day of it sitting in the fridge uneaten, I tossed it. I should have just asked for something different. Hubby had the chicken tenders (the whole reason we landed here) and he enjoyed those. He did not care for the coleslaw. Sandwiches, wings, daily specials, drink specials, etc. Lost of TVs for game day. This is a local grill/dive bar so be prepared for that atmosphere. It's locally owned and I appreciate that but man does it need a thorough, deep cleaning and updating.

Yelp
We went to lunch with 12 people. There wasn't a wait to be seated. We all ordered different items. All came out at the same time, all meals were hot and fresh. We will definitely be returning!!

Yelp
I waited so freaking long. They're so busy! And I came on a Wednesday night! But it was so worth it. Jerry's makes some goooood burgers. I've been here once before and I don't think I cared for what I ordered last time. Well it doesn't matter because Jerry's Grille has officially impressed this chick! I mean so juicy, well seasoned and just thick enough for me. I was pouting before I got my meal and then like magic, good food cures your sour mood!
google avatar

Kathryn B.

Yelp
I was warned. The drinks come fast and the food comes slow. Jerry's is uber casual. The first drinks did come fast, the subsequent bottle not so much. The appetizer arrived in decent time and was delicious. My lunch was also really good. And our server was super helpful and friendly. These bumped the stars from three to four. The guy in the kitchen did his best but there was no keeping up with the volume of patrons. Because of this, we didn't order the dessert or two to go meals we planned. Somehow I missed getting a pic of the biscuits and gravy...

Yelp
Update 12/20/2020 Came back again to give it another try. Arrived at 12 and it took over 45 minutes to place our order. Our food did not arrive until 1:25. There were only 4 of us. To top it off, I was really looking forward to the handcut fries that I had on my first visit in November. They were not hand cut fries, they were crinkle cut fries that tasted nothing like my first experience. My food was mediocre, nothing too bad, nothing too good. I think 2 visits is enough for us and we will go somewhere else.

Yelp
I've had mixed opinions on Jerry's but I think it comes down to the time I was going. The food is always good but I've struggled with the service. They service can be slow when it's busy - especially on weekends. I more recently went for lunch on a Friday with my husband and had a fantastic experience. Our waitress was attentive and witty. Our food came up quickly and was hot & fresh. We ordered the nachos supreme with chicken and let me tell you - that is a meal in itself for two!! Buyer beware! We also got an order of the cheesesteak quesadilla and really enjoyed it with the side of horseradish. We were pleasantly surprised by how much was stuffed into it. The prices aren't cheap however you get a ton of food and leave feeling full. That makes it worth it to me!

Mary N.

Yelp
Fish wrap, sweet potato fries, collards. So good. Service may not be the quickest but servers are always pleasant. Ordered take out last time and staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Lisa D.

Yelp
Not that tasty. Wait staff was excellent. I was looking forward to Tuesday's hot turkey sandwich, but unfortunately, the turkey was tough, the gravy was too thick, and the potatoes were too lumpy so as far as the flavor goes very average.
google avatar

Aja G.

Yelp
My favorite spot on the weekends. Great brunch, I can bring my dog and sit outside with a bottle of champagne
google avatar

Yelp
Great lunch time venue. Wonderful food and terrific service. The cheeseburger is amazing and you can't beat the chicken fingers!

Yelp
Always check the specials on the board!! The specials are a must-try. The food is always great and the portions are very generous, but the specials really are special. They switch up the variety, and they're almost like super home-cooked comfort food. Drinks are generously poured, bartenders are always engaging and energetic. Wait staff is unbelievable. They work their tails off, and are always friendly and it's just a great super casual sports bar. Everything you'd expect, but the food is unexpectedly fantastic.
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
Always a great place to eat! Food and service is great! Love their weekend breakfast.

Nancy N.

Yelp
My husband & I love Jerry's! You get a lot of good food for your money, & the service is fantastic! Italian nights dishes on Mon. night are especially good. The drinks are reasonable & the staff is always so friendly! Our only complaint is the consistency of the Ceaser salad dressing. We love their salad dressings, especially the Ceaser dressing, but it is not consistent. Normally, it has a strong garlic taste with a lot of flavor to it. But sometimes it tastes like a light lemon-flavored dressing. It would great if whoever makes it follows the same recipe. However, it won't stop us from going there! We highly recommend it.

Mal In R.

Yelp
I went in to have dinner the other night. Love Jerry's and have been going for years.everything is incredible, but I strayed from my normal order and got a veggie wrap. When it arrived to the table, it was extremely wet and mushy. I couldn't even pick it up. Flavor was good, just a little off putting for the texture aspect. Not sure if this is how it normally is, but if so, probably won't order it again.

Yelp
tldr: food is good, service is to be desired. It is evident that you only receive service if you're a known regular. I've been 5 times total (3 times dining in a restaurant & twice take-out). My review is based on my cumulative experience. First time I went was in October - approx noon on a Sunday. Wasn't too crowded - good vibe, good food/drinks, & service. Seemed like a cool neighborhood spot. Came back a second time on a Friday night. This time it was busy, as in we got lucky a table was getting up as we walked in bc literally every other table and spot at the bar were occupied. They were also setting up for live music. Busier than expected but we were in no rush. Service was subpar, which normally I would chalk up to the night being busy. But I observed parties getting their food before us, even though they ordered after us. They also were checked on, got refills, etc. Got our food (2 burgers with fries) over an hour later and it was all cold, as if it had been sitting out. Server checked on us shortly after. We asked for boxes and our check at that time. Twenty minutes later we left. Gave benefit of doubt & left 20% tip. Third time we went was today (New Years Day/Monday) a little after 11AM. Walked in, sat down, greeted by server. Ordered drinks then our lunch - at this time we made a point to tell her we were holding on to a menu to order more food to go before we left. That was the last our server came to our table. Handful of other tables of 4 to 6 people were occupied when we walked in. About 20 minutes later a different girl brought our food out. Our server never came to check on us. At some point we needed refills, etc but she was busy with other tables. In that time we watched her put in orders and check on other tables multiple times. At some point we gave up on wanting refills & just wanted to get the check. Never was able to get our servers attention. My friend walked up to the bar and asked for a box. Threw enough cash on the table to cover the bill (never saw our server to actually get the check) and left. Obviously never had the chance to order the milkshake and appetizers to-go, even though we had mentioned it to our server. It was evident that you only receive service if you're a known regular. Poor service has left a bad taste in my mouth, if I decide to come back it will be for to-go only. I've only ordered the burgers, fries, onion rings and variety of appetizers here. Diverse menu options, good food, really good ranch. Worth giving it a shot & hopefully you get better service than I have!

Yelp
It has been a really long time since I went somewhere that was busy. Like packed full busy! That how it was Sunday morning. We walked in and sat ourselves- per the sign, and I sat there astonished at 1. how big the place was and 2. how busy! Well, well- I guess we found the hotspot for brunch! Because it was slammed, it took a while to get our food. Our server was friendly and juggling several tables. John had to work- so we didn't partake in any alcoholic beverages- but all the tables around us did! Long Island Iced Tea, Bad Decisions Shots, Bloody Marys, Mimosas! It was 10am! I was like~ this is where you go to get your day drinking started! Apparently. The crowd was all ages and families too! They were bustling with business. Our orders- I went with the Jerry's Breakfast- 2 eggs, choice of meat, choice of homefries or grits and choice of bread (baked by the French Pantry). 1st of all- there is no way that was 2 eggs! 4 probably, but not 2, and I picked applewood smoked bacon- 4 strips of crispy bacon! Homefries- was piled high, what a mound and rye toast. Ok- if you're going to scramble up 4 eggs- 2 slices of toast is a good thing, lol. John ordered the fried pork chop breakfast and was debating between one or 2 porkchops. Well, good thing he went with one! Again- no way that was 2 eggs with his breakfast and the pork chop was enormous! The size of a normal plate! He ordered grits- which were still mouth burning hot even after he finished what he could of the pork chop and eggs. As John said- I didn't finish my breakfast! Have you ever seen me not finish my breakfast? Ahhh- nope- the portions were that huge! We both agreed we could share a plate next time and I'll just order a side of something- french toast, biscuits and gravy, pancake... they have plenty of small pate sides to choose from. And next time I will partake in an alcoholic beverage! Side note- John's co-worker bragged about this place as a regular weekly stop for her and her husband because the food is good and portions are huge! We may have to come back for dinner too and I'm not a huge sports bar kinda woman! Good food will get me every time!

Bird H.

Yelp
BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD! one plate could feed you three times, portions are insane here. it is seat yourself but the waitress was fast to get to us! food was fast to the table and I will definitely have to come back here! cooks look like they are having fun and I heard it gets packed out on game nights! Must try if your in the area! my mom got a turkey club and fries and we recommend it!

Yelp
Wife and I enjoy JerrysGrille at least once a month. We love thier shrimp notchos, burgers and fried mushrooms. Service is always friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Yelp
The service was excellent (Molly) and the food is outstanding. Had blackened fish and shrimp. A local watering hole. Will be back again.

Yelp
This was the first time we went to Jerry's. I had heard about them on Yelp and other food reviews. The prices of food and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our meal. I found out they also have a weekend brunch and live music on Friday night. This looks like a place that I'd like to go back again and try something else on the menu.

Yelp
Place is trash! 2 hours after we ordered no apologies...this place sucks! If you can go elsewhere-go to MVP's

Yelp
Horrible service. We waited 2 hours for our food. The staff was rude . The manager on was very unprofessional.

Yelp
Great food. Wings great. Fresh bread on the hamburgers. Dog friendly patio. Very good service! My kids took several onion rings before I took the picture.

Nathan W.

Yelp
Will never go back to this establishment. Needs a complete overhaul of their waitstaff. Didn't make it past getting drinks due to another server blatantly ridiculing us for "making her squeeze between the tables". Orientation is very crowed table-wise so we had limited options with a larger party. Probably a good spot if you are a regular but won't catch me coming back!

LA F.

Yelp
Excellent food! Dog friendly, average wait time for food to come out. Grilled pork chop is thick, tender, and sooo juicy. Will definitely recommend.

Yelp
Ok - so we moved from Riverside to San Pablo last summer & had read several positive reviews on Jerry's but just never coordinated a visit ... until today. Heard the burger was voted #1 in JAX so thought I'd give it a try. Walked in the Resto at 3p on a Saturday expecting it to a light crowd as it was between lunch & dinner but it was "standing room only" at the bar & most table tops in the front portion & patio were packed - GOOD SIGN! FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Seat yourself - struggled finding a table top as several were vacant but still not cleaned yet - saw staff hustling all over the Resto to clean up so it must've been folks that just left. Once seated, I was greeted fairly quickly ... within 3 mins. Brought a menu & ordered a drink then waited about 5 mins for a return. Based on my personal standards, the restaurant wasn't very clean ... it wasn't dirty but it wasn't super clean. Menus are a pet-peve of mine ... and I didn't want to touch it. (Silly?) STAFF - Tiffany was my server & she was awesome! She knows the food & menu well. There was another gal that assisted & she was busy! MENU - lots of food on the menu. Definitely a sports grille offering of food fare ... I had several things I wanted to try but I was here for the burger! Ordered the Bacon cheeseburger med-well with all the fixin's & their fresh-cut homemade fries. FOOD - Arrived in about 10 mins. Almost perfectly cooked burger! Taste was amazing (shredded lettuce - not my fav) but the tomato was good! Bacon & cheese were flavorful & overall burger was worth it! I did the homemade fries - they were a little greasy for my liking but tasted good. I'll definitely come back!

Yelp
We love Jerry's! It is very much a traditional sports bar with many TVs spread across the restaurant. A few have bar trivia games running all the time. Jerry's is a large places with lots of seating in booths, tables, or high tops. There is a long, wrap around bar that offers plenty of seating. The bar is full service There are a few outside tables as well. We've been to Jerry's multiple times at various times of the day. It is almost always packed with patrons. Jerry's has a large menu of sports bar food like quesadillas, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, salads, daily specials and more. Once my wife ordered a daily special of a meatball grilled cheese. It was a hand-grinded meatball the size of a baseball, smothered in marinara, on a huge toasted grilled cheese sandwich. All servings at Jerry's are huge. Come hungry and take home leftovers. Jerry's also has a very popular weekend brunch menu. They fill up fast for brunch. Servings are traditional breakfast foods and served in huge portions.

Tiffany our waitress was terrible. I was trying to let her know that the country fried steak I spoke to her earlier was not very tasty. If fact, even the pepper gravy wasn't even seasoned. I added salt which I never do as salt to my food. But, right away she accused me of trying to get a free meal by saying that she could do anything because I had eaten more than half my meal.... First of all, I had a good amount of food still left and second I wasn't asking for her to do anything. At that point I asked to speak to the manager and clearly she wasn't wanting to hear that either. She pretty much dismissed my request and said that the owner was at the grill and I could go up and talk to him there. By then I was upset. I have been coming to Jerry's for awhile now and everyone has been so nice and accommodating. Then you have someone like "Tiffany" who was completely rude and disrespectful. She made this experience terrible for me and my family. I did try and speak to Tony but he was very busy and I felt I could get my point across. I think I'll stick to my usual waitresses.
