This place is definitely a gem. I had the cookies of cream and it was absolutely perfect. The staff was very friendly, welcoming kind and courteous. Oh and let's not forget the HOME MADE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES.....OMG CHEWY, AND GOOEY. I'm definitely gonna be heading back soon.q

We wanted something unique and sweet to end our evening, so we contacted Peter from Jersey & Co. Gelato, and it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic idea! We visited Peter at his store for a gelato tasting, and what an experience that was! We tried so many flavors that it was hard to choose the best ones for our wedding. When we mentioned that the bride is from Peru, Peter offered to make a special Lucuma gelato. Wow! It was a huge hit. We ended up selecting six flavors: Pistachio, Coconut, Hazelnut, Nutella, and Frutti di Bosco. They were beautifully displayed on a bike display gelato cart, adding a charming touch to our celebration. Everyone loved it! We are definitely going back for more. If you are in the Jersey City or Hoboken area, Jersey & Co. Gelato is a must-have—the best gelato out there. Thank you to Peter and his team for making our wedding delightfully sweet and unforgettable.

I am happy I discovered this ice cream shop. I loved the ice cream! I ordered a 3 scoop of passion fruit, coconut, and taro. All delicious flavors and perfect for this summer heat. I want to go back and try their other flavors. FYI some flavors are more icy like the passion fruit while some are more creamy like the coconut and taro. SN: shop is small with some window seating, however, they have nice outdoor seating available.

It is not dairy queen that is only a few blocks away and the artisan gelato and flavors are worth the trip. Albeit a very very small ice cream parlor as compared to their other location at Terminal A, Newark Airport. At minimum give it a try as a comparison 🤩 The first time we tried visiting it was right after picking up the kids from school and they weren’t yet open and another time they were just closed and maybe were running late. You never know with Jersey City Traffic especially on Rt 440. This time we went as a party of 6 and pretty much sampled all the flavors. Yummy! We all left happy 😆 Our consensus definitely is to revisit once it is more in the warmer months to satiate all of our ice-cream cravings 🍦🍨👍

Honestly was a little suspicious that every review was positive when I first found this place but now having tried nearly every flavor they offer, I can confidently say this place is the real deal. You cannot go wrong with any flavor they have. This is gelato you travel for. Equally as great as the gelato is the service. Couldn't be happier to have them lined up for our wedding this summer! (Sidenote: also walked out with a new favorite drink called Calamansi - try it)

Their gelatos have this homemade quality that you will just want to keep coming back for more scoops. The pistachio and strawberry cheesecake are our favorite. My husband and I would come and eat our dessert at the tables outside this cute corner shop. Their rich and creamy milk teas are also a must-try.

Small little place with really good gelatos. They have seasonal flavours too. Staff is really sweet!! My favourite is pistachio and white coffee.

I had Jersey and Co cater my aunt's bridal shower and they were amazing! 10/10 gelato and 10/10 service from the initial contact until the end. Their cart was so nicely decorated and they even made a custom sign to go with it according to our event! - Radhika Patel

Excellent gelato (especially the rich chocolate) at reasonable prices! Love the tiny cone on top of the kiddie cup for some crunch. Also coffee beverages, pastries, and milkshakes / affogatos available. Ube/chocolate cookies are so soft. Cute little shop with outdoor tables.

Surprised that I'll find a delicious gelato at the airport. I love that their pistachio gelato does not have the green coloring on it. It's not too sweet and I loved it paired with the ube. The first gelato that I love outside of Italy.

Alright ya'll, I think I found my favorite ice cream/gelato spot everywhere. I will definitely be making excuses to walk my dog over here to grab a scoop or even coffee drink. This place isn't located on a Main Street, but tucked in a cute corner by the light rail parking lot. The shop is very small, not much seating in the store, but they have plenty of bench/table seating outside. There's options for coffee drinks, boba drinks, and food on top of all the amazing gelato flavors they have. In addition they have pastries and warm food. I ordered an Affogato milkshake, so I got to choose my scoop of gelato, have my caffeine fix, and get a sweet treat lol. I got a tiramisu gelato scoop to mix well with the coffee part of the drink. The person checking out and preparing food in the front was very attentive verifying all the flavors I wanted and the quantity. I didn't get any snacks but I think the next time I go here I'll definitely have to try their sigsig grilled cheese. I can't wait to be back!!

Cute little spot on the corner! The workers were very kind and I love the asian flavors. I got a small that comes with 2 flavors so I got matcha and chocolate. The matcha was very authentic and flavorful while the chocolate was dark and rich. I also got 1 ube and 1 chocolate crinkle cookie to go and both were so good! Definitely would come back to try the other items on the menu like the coffee!

A must visit! Very quaint Gelato shop with delicious options. Pistachio and strawberry cheesecake are my favorites...Im sure there is a flavor to please every palette.

Cute gelato store Has lots of flavors. Not as sweet but the gelato reminds me almost of a whipped cream gelato... flavors are good. Pistachio, hazelnut, and chocolate were my fav. Tried the mango and surprised it wasn't like your typical mango flavored ice cream/sherbet. Great service Will def be back to try other things

Was really looking forward to trying their taho! I bought several cups so that my family can try it too and it was a hit! I really appreciated the little tapioca balls and the way they packaged the sugar syrup in the cup. Will definitely come back to try their gelato and boba'lato!

My sister and I were visiting family in the area and decided to check this gelato place out on the way home. It's a quaint lil shop on the corner so parking may be tough. There's a couple of window seating inside and Bistro tables curbside. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and answered all the questions we had. One of the workers, Isabelle offered samples and made suggestions to help make choosing a flavor easier. I chose coffee and cookies and cream. My sister chose strawberry cheesecake and tiramisu. Delicious!! We also noticed they have calamansi spritzer on tap. We were offered a sample and we fell on love. So good!! We took home 3 cans of the spritzers. Definitely coming back and would recommend to family and friends.

Walked by this amazing gelato place. Not much options but whatever they had was a good one. One thing I learnt is get a cup and not a cone. They only had the wafer cones and sugar cones. And the portion seemed really small because they gotta fit the gelato in a small wafer cone. Imma try the cup next time.

Awesome place to hang out and have excellent sweets on a hot day. I love these small places that do simple food like gelato in the best way. They are super friendly and worth giving them a visit. Ube gelato for the win! Recommended!

I live a few blocks away from here and it took me months to stop in. Once I finally did, I feel like I've been there almost everyday. And the owners are from my alma mater! My go-to are the Ube & matcha flavored gelato. They give you two generous scoops of each flavor and a small is only $3.50, which is almost unheard of in Jersey City. They also offer a variety of to-go sizes.

This new space exists quite far from me, a city dweller, forced to take public transportation to get around. Despite that hold up this is worth the commute. The soft creamy selections that are these gelatos and sorbets have the best mouth feel accompanied by a flavor that I would say is better than Eataly, the more convenient option for me. There is a "Disaronno amaretto" flavor holds the exclusive rights from Disaronno to flavor gelato. The ingredients in each are fresh and well thought out. My favorites hold in the gelato category and are pistachio, amaretto, and amarena. The kiwi banana sorbet and of course mango are great as well. The space is half inside and half outside, where there are colorful chairs that will pop in a nice picture. I wish I lived nearby. But a simple Lyft ride here (from Journal Square PATH) every once in a while is fine by me...

It was way too sweet and did not enjoy it. Ordered the pistachio and halo halo. I don't remember the flavors for the second cup. Just not for me.

Jersey & Co is a cute little gelateria conveniently located near my place and thank God because the gelato is truly the best I've ever had. It is perfectly creamy and you can just tell from the quality that they're made fresh daily. I love the variety in flavors from the traditional to the Filipino influenced ones like ube. Pro tip: get the hazelnut and chocolate flavors to make a combo that tastes just like a Ferrero Rocher!

Heard about Jersey & Co. from a friend who's a regular, and this is my second time checking out the place. I got the green tea gelato, and it was the perfect balance of bitter & sweet. Would definitely go back to try the frozen cheesecake soft serve!

i came in around 9:45 on a thursday night and saw that the guy was mostly down closing. poor guy. anywho, i ask sean/shawn/shaun/(/etc.) if i can grab a strawberry cheesecake to-go pint, and it tasted glorious. i ended up taking with me and ate it while waiting on a friend. sean, i apologize if i got your floor dirty again as i bought in my bike. y'all rock. great place.

Friendly, reasonably priced, generous portions...can't say enough good things about this place!!

Jersey & Co. Gelato is a nice little gelato shop in the heart of jersey city. The closest place in the area to get any kind of ice cream is DQ or in Bayonne. So I'm glad to have a place like this here. The gelato tastes smooth and flavorful, while the sorbets taste like the actual fruit it's based on. My favorite gelato flavors are the Stracciatella (think sweet cream and dark chocolate chips) and Pistachio. The best sorbet flavor is one called Kibana, which is a blend of kiwi and banana. My mind thinks it wouldn't work, but it is delicious! The prices are affordable and I usually get a small ($3.50) then tip the change. I don't usually eat a lot and a small is just right. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

So glad this place opened up away from the the downtown JC area! This is exactly what the Westside area needed in terms of a fresh new place to enjoy a frozen treat besides the conventional DQ located on Westside Ave. Gelato: 4.5 out of 5 stars! Almost near perfect! The selection of different flavors is what makes the place unique! Hazelnut, Ube, Chocolate Hazelnut Banana, Peach Mango and more! I literally go every few days just to satisfy my sweet tooth, without feeling too guilty hence its GELATO and not ice cream.... there's a difference! Parking is not an issue so definitely go visit if you're craving a nice cold sweet treat!

First and foremost, the gelato was AMAZING. I had matcha and I wish I can remember what the other flavor I had was (I think it was amaretto?) and my best friend had matcha and ube; they were so good! I wouldn't worry too much tho because Peter, the owner, lets you try the flavors before you pick them so I'm sure I'll be able to remember once I taste it. But it's such a cute place and a very friendly environment. Peter makes each flavor fresh on a daily and it just feels so light and tasty, nothing too sweet it's perfect. He also let us tried the mango flavor, mind you I'm not a fan of fruity gelato flavors but I'd DEFINITELY get this in the summer. We'll be back here for sure!

A rare five-star for me but it was a 4.5 and I decided to round up because they have a perfect 5-star rating and who am I to poo poo on that for a new business! The Good: GREAT TASTING GELATO! Freshly made! Fresh ingredients! The banana tasted like I bit into a mushy cool delicious banana! It was delightful! There was just enough mango for me to try some because that container was empty and that also tasted super fresh! The staff and the guy I presume to be the owner were super nice and encouraged me to try anything and everything. I also ordered the peanut butter and that tasted like a Reese's cup and ice cream had a baby but didn't taste overly processed like actual Reese's ice cream. Their gelato could almost be used as it own pallet cleanser. The Bad: They're a little pricy for the portions but you gotta pay for quality I guess. The cone tasted a little stale too which is disappointing because everything else was so fresh. Also their hours suck noodles. Its summer but they don't open till like 5. This is the second time stopping by to try them. New businesses sometimes have issues nailing down peak hours of operation but i'm hoping they figure this out come next summer. SUPPORT THIS SMALL BUSINESS GUYS, THEY PUT OUT A QUALITY PRODUCT WORTH AT LEAST TRYING ONCE!

Just saw on the JerseyEats blog and had to try it out as I am an ice cream-gelato addict! The gelato is creamy and delish - had the straciatella and the kibana. The staff was very friendly and and we could try all the flavors if we wanted to. Even though this is pretty far for me, I will definitely be returning.

I am such a fan of this local gelato spot! They offer a variety of delicious, traditional and unique flavors of gelatos and sometimes sorbet. Hands down my favorite is their mango sorbet which is made with fresh sweet mangos. I also recommend their ube flavor, peach mango, pineapple, matcha, tiramisu, and hazelnut. They also have a reward system for those who find themselves constantly crave to come back!

Finally a local gelato place that we can get our dessert on. All natural flavors and freshly made products. We'll be here often. Try the affogato! Best gelato place in our block!!!!!!!!!!

Thick hot dark chocolate, peach-mango and ube-macapuno gelato: these are a few of my new favorite things that i tasted in this small jem in Jersey City. Made onsite by the creative and friendly gelato artist behind the counter who can make it in any imaginable flavor.

First time here. The owner is so friendly and welcomed. We had the vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut and peach. All the flavors are yummy especially the chocolate.... soooooo rich. The hazelnut is additive. $4 for 2 scoops in a cone. Very affordable and generous portion. Definitely will return to try other flavors.

We've been here about three times now, and this was much needed in the neighborhood. This little shop is so cute! It has a smart able or two on the inside, but the best seating is the outdoor seating! There isn't much people-watching to do, but between being so close to the bay and the highway, there's usually a nice breeze, even on a hot summer night - for real! The gelato flavors they have are fairly common and are okay. They are very generous with samples. Two standout flavors for me are their hazelnut and matcha. Matcha! Any place that serves matcha is a-okay in my book! Again, this such a welcome addition to the community.

Love their gelato. It's a terrible thing that I live close by because I'm stopping in constantly. I enjoy most of their flavors like match, mango, hazelnut, and lemon just to name a few. The also introduce new flavors every season like a Filipino inspired flavor, halo halo. Can't wait to give it a try. As a bonus they do accept Apple Pay for those whoo care.

WaaaaaY better then bucket and bay truly exceptional gelato second to none in jersey city MUST TRY pistachio and the purple yam gelato which tastes like cake really can't go wrong with any flavors I freakin luv this place I've been there almost every night this week and the owner is a Asian guy can't remember his name but he's a true genius at his craft he even offered to make me a gelato out of my favorite scotch and gave me a free amazing grill cheese sandwich made out of some magic definitely not your ordinary grill cheese AT ALL thanks for such amazing service guys !!!!

My husband and I are huge gelato fans and we think that Jersey & Co. Gelato knocked it out of the park. Their flavors are spot on. I particularly liked the citrus flavor which is a combination of lemon, orange and grapefruit. Well done! The chocolate gelato was rich and smooth. The place is also very cozy. It's strategically situated - one of the coolest places in the neighborhood.

This has got to be the best gelato I have ever tasted!! So excited to have a new local go to spot in JC to satisfy my sweet-tooth cravings. Stopped by last week and have returned back twice since. It's super chic, the staff is sooo nice & they let you try the flavors before you buy it - Be careful though, you might end up buying all!! Tiramisu is my new fav!!!

My favorite gelateria in NJ. They have traditional flavors (fior di latte, stracciatella) to interesting and fresh flavors (ube, matcha). The owners are very friendly and welcoming. You can tell they love what they do because it shows in the quality of the gelato. They have also mentioned that they have studied abroad in Italy on how to make gelato, which is pretty awesome too. I love this place, it's a hidden gem in Jersey City.

Some of the best gelato I've had - outside of Italy. Spent a summer in Venice and it's just as good as the shops there.

What a hidden gem this place is!!! My husband and I had the aemaretto, pistachio, and mango gelato! Each flavor was so full of flavor and was super delicious! I regret not taking a picture! It was so good, we were enjoying it so much that we can't wait to come back for more! The Calamansi Spritzer was phenomenal! I was not able to purchase a full bottle but I was able to try a half cup sample! It was so refreshing and delicious! I can't get my mind off of it! I hope the owner will sell this in a bigger size or in a case. I want to have this in my fridge! This place is a must try!

Best gelato from NYC Little Italy to NJ Love their variety of flavors, especially the seasonal ones which can be anything from Salted Caramel (which was so sublime in all its buttery glory) to the surprisingly delish Bacon Maple flavor. Their hot chocolate was rich and creamy topped with freshly whipped butter. The attention to details really shows. Service is always friendly. I can't wait to go back.

Stopped by Jersey & Co. on Sunday afternoon at the recommendation of someone we were chatting with at a local bar. The location is small but so quaint and adorable. I had the salted caramel which was super rich and delicious. It was probably the best salted caramel ice cream or gelato I've had. My husband had the vanilla and the mashup of the kiwi/banana and those were also really good. There's some seating outside and we were able to enjoy the nice weather enjoy our treat. Apparently the business owners are local and went to a college locally as well which is great - love supporting people from JC!

Great, Authentic, Gelato that can be found nowhere else in Jersey City. We sampled several flavors and decided upon the Amerena (Black Cherry). It was tops. Super friendly owners and immaculately clean. If you want better, you will have to get on a plane and go to Italy... We will be back very soon...

Best Gelato in Jersey, maybe in the region. Handmade by the caring proprietor Peter who takes his time to really learn his clients, make them coffees just like they like and point out new gelato flavors or special items they might like to try. Its a great friendly place that is a real asset to the neighborhood!

It's worth the trip! This quaint new gelato spot is a great addition to Jersey City. They churn out small batches high quality gelato - the creaminess, texture is really perfect. They have traditional gelato flavors (chocolate, cappucino) as well as some more creative flavors (citrus which is a blend of 3 citrus fruits, lavender, amarena which is a slightly tart sour cherry). The lavender flavor was created using fresh lavender from his own backyard. I imagine an increase in visits to Lincoln Park with detours here in my near future. They come in 3 sizes for personal consumption as well as two larger sizes if you wish to take some home. The inside of the shop is rather small but it does have a couple of seats. There are also 4 small tables out front for you to enjoy your gelato.
