Jersey Bagel Deli &Grill

Super impressive! I never know what to expect from a sandwich shop that I’ve never been to, but I absolutely LOVED my Greek salad with added chicken. Many places don’t even season the chicken or use iceberg lettuce and so I was happily impressed to see Romaine lettuce, and the chicken was so deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked as well. Also, my boyfriend loved his sandwich called The Jersey Rachel too. Many places like this often have coleslaw that leaves a lot to be desired, but I thought their coleslaw was perfect! I actually now want to try to figure out how to re-create it at home, it was that tasty. I love being pleasantly surprised by new places we pick to eat and HIGHLY recommend this sandwich shop! We already talked about how we can’t wait to come back and try so many more options on the menu. This belly is delightfully satisfied. :)

The bagels here are practically perfect. Mine were still warm when I got them. So soft inside with that nice shell outside. The cream cheese tasted very good too. Will by from here again and again.

Great customer service. Bagel was super fresh,flavorful and I’m so glad they had these vegetarian options. I got the garden state on whole wheat everything bagel. So good! My gf got the chicken wrap and she loved it. Hashbrowns we’re good and hot out the grease too. Exceeded our expectations.

Gave this place another shot after being shocked at some of the pricing on bagels and ordered an Asiago bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese. Much to my dismay when I got to work they had given me an everything bagel instead. Super disappointing service and lack of awareness to customers. Disappointing since the structure of their bagels is quite good

This is tucked away off of woodward right in the middle of birmingham. The staff is super friendly. It has the family-owned feel for sure. The place is very clean. They offer fresh squeezed juices and use fresh meats. Their prices are a premium for the menu selection and there’s a decent wait time however it’s worth every penny for the freshness and you can see it being made in front of you. This is really a hidden gem for breakfast/brunch. We had the italian panini and chicken bacon ranch wrap which were both incredible! Definitely will be revisiting this place!

Ordered a toasted bagel and cream cheese. After ten minutes I inquired if my food had been made. The three people working there LITERALLY would not respond to my or my boyfriend’s questions. We weren’t being rude and it really seemed like three of them had a problem serving a gay couple. A few minutes later I was handed a bagel and again, they would not actually speak to me.

Wonderful! Fresh bagels with an amazing menu of cream cheeses. So many wonderful things offered on the extensive menu. Clean restaurant, great location.

Huge, fluffy bagels!!! The Bacon egg and cheese bagel was so fresh!! The scallion cream cheese was delicious. They offer turkey bacon as well as sausage, wraps, salads, fish/seafood, and more. Will definitely be coming back and trying more from here! There are a couple tables inside for eating, or carry out is a popular option as well.

My favorite bagel in Metro Detroit! Jersey Bagel has some of the most amazing, authentic New York bagels, with tons of breakfast options, and a million cream cheese flavors--one for each occasion! I personally love their Everything Bagel with lox spread, it is outstanding and perfect for a sunday morning! Jersey Bagel is on my weekly rotation!

This place is awesome!! They are always super busy, so I highly recommend placing an order online for pick up (sometimes it can be a 45 minute wait for pick up orders even). But the bagels are so worth the wait! They are so fresh and delicious. My new go to spot for bagels. Highly recommend trying the strawberry cream cheese - yum!

I placed an order online, and even 15 minutes past the expected pickup time, it was still not ready. When I politely asked about the estimated wait time, the staff member responded dismissively, saying it would be ready whenever it was finished. When I asked for a more specific timeframe, he told me to leave the restaurant. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but a little politeness goes a long way--there's no need for rudeness.

Good bagels and sandwich options - wish they had a vegan cream cheese! I wanted to go to a local bagel place, not a chain name, so came here specifically for breakfast. I like the menu offerings for lunch and other sandwiches, so will have to check them out next time! Got hubby his standard "bacon egg and cheese on everything" and they have a variety of cheese to choose from. It got two thumbs up; I got the garden veggie on everything, and an order of hash browns (3 in an order), which my kiddo loved, as they were hot and oily! Packed up great! Probably the closest thing you'll get to Ny style bagels in Michigan. It's not quite but close. This ain't your Einstein or Dunkin or Bruegers-- it's way better. Bagel itself is soft and freshly baked. I got the sausage, egg and cheese and my husband got the lox/ salmon with capers and the works. We both enjoyed it. His came w a side potato salad and pickle. It was just missing the magic flavor you find in a Utopia bagel or H&H. I don't know what it is. Maybe the bagel itself. But I'm so happy to have found this place. My husband has been coming here already multiple times. They also have paninis and build-your-own omelet /sandwich options. Menu is pretty extensive for a small location including salad. There's basic coffee and tea selection but we didn't try that this time. There's a few tables inside you can sit at. Lighting is bright like a deli, music plays in the background. Staff is friendly and try to make conversation with you which was cool. Seemed like they like working there. The guy asked what I was yelping on my phone and if my husband goes by a nickname. I appreciate little connections like that. 5 stars!

Just tried this place out this morning around 8:45 and it wasn't too busy for a walk in order but you can order ahead online! Big assortment of bagels, breakfast options, sandwiches and flavored cream cheese. They serve boars head meat so you know the sandwiches will be good. The everything bagel was really good, next time I'll ask for it extra toasted though, and I tried the strawberry cream cheese. The cream cheese was good but not a strong strawberry flavor and it was bright pink..I don't like when food is neon colored. We also got the Healthy Start breakfast sandwich which is Turkey, cheese, egg whites and it was really good! My husband thought he would save half but couldn't stop eating it haha They have a low carb bagel I'm curious to try out next and the other sandwiches ! The staff was attentive as soon as I walked in the door, and the sandwich was cooked fresh so it's not like in and out in 3 min but it was still fast for the quality served. There is a charge for using a credit card like 3.5%

The best bagel breakfast in Birmingham! We love everything about this place from their choice of different kinds of bagels to their options for breakfast and lunch, and even their cream cheese spreads! Our first time here and we were wowed! We both got breakfast sandwiches that were super tasty. I love when you can open up a bagel sandwich and the cheese is just gooey. While we were waiting the staff were super nice and even offered us a bunch of cream cheese samples to try. It's more of a grab and go place. Although they have places to sit, it doesn't have a sit down vibe.

I think this will be my last time here. Bagels are decent and it's local but they never say thank you for a tip (which I always tip) and not only that I'm like thank you so much when handing my food to me and nothing back. Nothing! No you're welcome, no thanks, no thanks for your business. I hope the owners read this and change this around or I will taking my business elsewhere. Sorry for the review but it's every time I've stopped in here. So either management isn't very nice to their staff or they hate their job.

This is my nearby bagel place, so I come here regularly. I generally think the bagels are good quality, and (unlike other bagel shops) they keep a decent selection in stock for longer than the first few hours of the day - a very good thing. I was disappointed to learn on a recent visit that they are charging extra for customers to pay using a credit card. I was able to avoid this charge, as I fortunately had enough cash to pay for my dozen bagels. Still, I did not love the credit-card charge. As far as this Yelper is concerned, accepting credit cards (which I know has a cost for merchants) ought to be considered a price of doing business. Unfortunately, this charge is becoming more common. Other than that, I would recommend this establishment. Take away the credit-card charge, and my Yelp goes up to 4 - maybe 5!

Great bagels but slow service wish they had better efficiency/more employees/more organization within the store. A simple order of two bagels can take up to one hour during a busy time when ordered online

Best bagels I have had in Michigan so far since moving from New Jersey! Will be back!

I was looking forward for this place to open. It replaced the bagel factory café that used to be there for many years. They had their opening day on Saturday, I was passing by going to cars and coffee so decided to grab some bagels to try. Unfortunately I realized that I don't have any money or cc while placing the order but they were so kind and still gave me 2 bagels and cream cheese for free. I came back later to grab more bagels (I like to freeze them and reheat at home so they are like fresh). Got 6 different ones and by Monday tried 3 flavors, all were delicious. They are pretty big too and I hope this is not the initial incentive and they will keep them like that. The only thing I wish they had is a cinnamon bagel that does not have raisins (like cinnamon chip bagel). Overall I was delighted and will be a regular for sure

Been waiting for this place to open, because Birmingham is underserved for authentic bagels and east coast cuisine. Being a Jersey Boy, this is fun for me. I got the salt bagel and a poppyseed bagel. Also a half pound container of lox-infused cream cheese. All were very, very good. The menu also includes deli sandwiches and cheesesteaks. No telling how often I might eat here per week!

I order breakfast at least once a week from this location ! Best omelets they always make my carryout perfect .

Good food, bagel sandwiches are always very filling and good quality. Price has definitely gone up a lot and it's become a bit unreasonable for what it is.

Listen, this is one of the best bagels in the area. I used to go to the original location in Farmington almost every week for our Sunday family gatherings but after moving to Birmingham I was very happy to find this location down the street. But I'm not here to talk about the bagels, I'm here to talk about Joe. I've been to this location twice now and want to give a shout-out to the kindest, hardest working, and attentive person I've ever seen in a restaurant. If I owned a restaurant I would want Joe running it. This guy deserves a raise and this place should give him a franchise. Shout-out to you Joe, keep spreading happiness and making people smile.

The bagels are average and do not live up to the name 'Jersey'. I grew up in Jersey and it's nowhere close in taste and texture. The main reason for this poor review is that they use styrofoam' containers for everything. I cannot even fathom how many containers leave the premises in a day. It's irresponsible as a business owner to use them and there is no need to use them for a bagel simply because you think your customer wants a stupid pickle on the side. Wrap them in parchment paper and put them in a paper bag. If someone wants a side of potato salad or a pickle they are package that separately in a container. Not only is styrofoam bad for the environment it's bulky and takes up space.

5/22 I was heading into work, I didn't have coffee ran out at home .. ugh . Walking into work I saw the bagel shop was finally open first day yay . I Walked in they literally just opened their doors and were still setting up. I planned to buy coffee and bagels for the office . They asked if I could come back in 15 minutes.( I couldn't because I had to clock in 5 minutes later and asked if they delivered ) They don't but said he would walk it down , which I thought was so amazing. I asked if I could pay then but registers were still uploading . He said I could pay over the phone later. 30 minutes later he arrived at our office with the bagels and coffee and said they were on the house . How awesome and thoughtful was that . I have sent a ton of our patients there since . On to the bagels we got two kinds blueberry and Asiago cheese. They were both amazing, super soft and delicious. I'm looking forward to trying other things on their menu. Thanks again for the sweet gesture it was highly appreciated by our office !! Birmingham Chiropractic clinic.

My friend Cameron was the first person to eat at here. It was at 6:08am on 5/22/2021. He wanted a group chat of friends to know this. But trust me, you're probably wondering yourself who had it first. It was he, Cameron. Regardless of his opinion, you should go there and get a bagel sandwich. Reason being, the neighborhood needs a place open for breakfast items before work and it's a good location if you head south to Woodward.Also, pricing is deed and the food is solid. I see this new joint being around for a while. they were very fast to make the food and there's okay parking. I bet if Cameron I was there at 6:08, He was out at 6:11, tops.

Came here for some bagels and smear. Place looks modern and a huge upgrade from the Detroit bagel factory place that was here prior. I also got some tuna to take home. Per jersey bagel style, the bagels are large! Can't wait to go back.

We've been looking forward to a new bagel spot opening up here ever since bagel factory shutdown. The bagels have been good but out of the 3 times we've been they have forgotten to include the cream cheese twice. No one is perfect and mistakes happen especially in such a strained labor market however for a manager/owner to be so unapologetically rude in a new small business blows my mind. Good bagels but make sure you get what you paid for!

A good breakfast sandwich is hard to come by, but Jersey knows how to do it right. This place hits the spot.

Over priced, the bagels aren't as good as bagel factory, the bagel sandwiches were far superior when this was bagel factory. And somehow, they always find a way to mess up your order. The bagel factory lox sandwich was waaaay better. The only thing they have going for them is their location.

Amazing service, with an amazing menu. Lots of choices and the bagels are one of a kind. Breakfast sandwiches are delightful. 5 stars, for a 5 star service
