The crab shack sits next door to its ‘bigger brother’ the oyster box, and offers a more family friendly relaxed dining experience. But do not be fooled in to thinking you should give this a miss because it does not boast such a high brow menu or wine list. The quality of the food is excellent and there is definitely something for everyone on offer.
The crowning glory is the spider crab and if you have the patience you will not be disappointed. The crab was beautifully presented and incredibly yummy!
If you don’t want to work that hard, the crab poutine is a genius creation. Who doesn’t like crab meat flaked over well seasoned french fries.
Often non seafood lovers are let down by the other food choices at restaurants so dominated by fish, but not here. The steak was not a second class citizen, holding its own and really well cooked.
Overall the quality of the food for the price was excellent- and with the mix and match small plates is definitely somewhere for a big group party or family gathering.
The choice of puds was also fun, variations on the classic ice cream sundae gave it the authentic diner vibe, whilst also offering some hot classics including crepe suzette.
A fun and relaxed atmosphere with a beachside location ensuring epic sea views from your table.
Certainly worth a visit.
