Jersey Crab Shack St Brelade

Great view. Staff were very friendly. I had the burger - it was alright. I think the seafood here is very good. They had a good variety!

Year later and it is still GREAT !! 3rd visit to Jersey and 3rd visit to the Crab Shack and we were not disappointed. The oyster’s are super fresh and arrive with option of Tabasco, fresh lemon or shallot vinegar (or “naked” ). The spider crab was well prepared and presented and full of taste. For something different I decided to try the flat iron steak and will definitely be going for that again. In a stunning location with choice of outdoor or indoor seating this great for either lunch or an evening dinner!

This restaurant is perfectly situated on the beachfront, offering stunning views of the ocean while you enjoy your meal. We had lunch overlooking the beach, and the scenery made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was beautifully presented, well-cooked, and seasoned to perfection. While the calamari portion could have been more generous, I admit I tend to compare it to what you’d find in the south of Spain. Staff were friendly and service attentive. Restaurants doesn’t accept cash or tips. Over all a great experience.

This is a great place to eat, the booths are lovely to sit in, cosy family birthday meal we had in here...we were treated very nicely by the friendly staff...couldn't fault the crab shack at all....defo a visit when in saint brelardes Bay,Jersey. The stacking share plates are a must! Delicious 😋

The food was tasty. Great sea views. Unfortunately, the service was slow, and I had to ask multiple times where my main course was. Toilets need a good clean. Great menu with lots of choices. They offer table service however you have to pay your bill at the bar.

The crab shack sits next door to its ‘bigger brother’ the oyster box, and offers a more family friendly relaxed dining experience. But do not be fooled in to thinking you should give this a miss because it does not boast such a high brow menu or wine list. The quality of the food is excellent and there is definitely something for everyone on offer. The crowning glory is the spider crab and if you have the patience you will not be disappointed. The crab was beautifully presented and incredibly yummy! If you don’t want to work that hard, the crab poutine is a genius creation. Who doesn’t like crab meat flaked over well seasoned french fries. Often non seafood lovers are let down by the other food choices at restaurants so dominated by fish, but not here. The steak was not a second class citizen, holding its own and really well cooked. Overall the quality of the food for the price was excellent- and with the mix and match small plates is definitely somewhere for a big group party or family gathering. The choice of puds was also fun, variations on the classic ice cream sundae gave it the authentic diner vibe, whilst also offering some hot classics including crepe suzette. A fun and relaxed atmosphere with a beachside location ensuring epic sea views from your table. Certainly worth a visit.

We sat on the prom and had a brilliant meal, the burger was delicious, it was moist and tender, the chips were crisp and fluffy on the inside, just as described and the fish was fresh and flavourful, would definitely recommend. Edit: Just came back again for lunch, and was just as impressed as the first time!

Lovely location at St. Brelades Bay with a good outdoor seating area overlooking the beach. Good selection of food and the service was excellent. We had fish and chips and the whole mackerel. The mackerel tasted delicious but for the price it didn't include any potatoes or fries which was a little disappointing. For pudding I had the lovely cafe Delicio which was an espresso, pastel de Nata and ice cream with chocolate sauce. I liked that they didn't expect a service charge as the price includes everything. On the whole a very enjoyable lunch.

Great location and great food. Sat on the sea front eating fresh sea food can't be beaten. Recommend the fish curry or the Asian ribs. Both very tasty and morish!! 2nd time here in two days so can't be bad :-). And when finished just sit and sip a beer and wine while you watch the kids play on the beach.

If you are where the prehistoric men threw over mammoths for a meal, throw yourself over for a great snack at The Crab Shack! After fighting to get a table (no in winter I do not choose to eat on the bench outside) we got the hostess to understand that a table in 30 minutes was a better response than no table at all. The food was so worth it! The starter of Crab Bisque was divine. The fish special paice on a bed of spinach and crushed Jersey Royal was just melt in your mouth good. My partner's starter did not live to the tempura expectations, but his garlic lobster was to die for! A nice crisp South African Chardonnay to accompany the meal was all that was required. Did not reach for the Tabasco once as the flavors were just divine. Had to top it off with some Jersey soft serve ice-cream! This is what a good meal is all about. PS: the service is not bad, just a bit of "lost in translation".
