Jersey Oven Bagels

Good bagel spot with flavorful cream cheese. Scallion or vegetable cream cheeses were our favourite. All the bagles we tried were good. We asked for all our bagles to be toasted and they werent which was dissaponting. My husband added on a butted seseme seed bagel to be well toasted and it wasn't at all. So what you get is a soggy cold bagel...not pleasant (photo). If you want your bagel warm and toasted I reccomend just getting the bagel and cream cheese and assembling yourself at home.

The bagels here are absolutely fantastic! They are huge, extraordinarily tasty and give you the absolute best value for your money compared with the quality and service. I drive 45 minutes once a week to enjoy bagels and I would not do that if they weren’t extraordinary Staff is always friendly and welcoming very customer forward and appreciative. They are the absolute best.

When I first ordered the bagel with egg, sausage and cheese, I thought to myself that this will be a one time visit because the price. I now see why it was a bit pricey. The real sausage patties, not singular but two and not that filler crap you get from fast food restaurants. I watched her crack the eggs and cook them on the grill. Not some heat and serve garbage. The cheese was so abundant that I’ll have to wash my face when I get home to get it out of my mustache. The bagel was perfectly firm yet fresh. I’ll have to take my wife with me the next time I’m in mt. Juliet. This is how you can charge a little more and make it seem like a good deal. Quality food is worth a bit more. If you haven’t tried it yet, you are missing something special.

Cute little spot for a bagel. Lots of options and friendly staff. Hot coffee is pretty standard but they do have a "cold coffee" machine and a Cappuccino machine. Our total was $24.46 for a turkey/egg/cheese bagel, ham/egg/cheese bagel, and a coffee. The bagels were huge!

Absolutely one of the best bagels I’ve had. If you don’t like cream cheese, this is probably not the place to ask for because they gave me the biggest amount of cream cheese I’ve ever seen on a bagel, mind you I never asked for extra. The bagel was fresh and they have many kinds of cream cheeses. I even took some home in an extra cup just by scooping some from the bagel and still keeping a hefty amount to enjoy. 10/10

I've been going to Jersey Oven ever since I moved to Mt. Juliet! Fresh baked bagels every day, fresh Boards Head deli meat, and Boards Head cream cheeses. They have a huge variety of bagels to choose from. My personal favorite is a toasted french toast bagel with strawberry cream cheese. My partner usually gets a sausage, egg and cheese with jalapeno cream cheese on a toasted garlic bagel. I rate the atmosphere 4 stars because the shop is pretty small and there isn't seating for more than 4 people at a table, so it can get cramped.

Stand in the line and wait to be served!! As it should be. Made to order greatness. Incredible restaurant style and even better people. Insanely goos hoagie. Flavorful bagels. My new favorite obsession.

Made a trip to Mt. Juliet to try Jersey Oven from Murfreesboro. Worth. The. Trip. These are the best bagels I’ve had outside of NYC. The pork roll was fantastic. The bagels are FRESH, priced very well and absolutely delicious. We loved them so much we ended up grabbing more to bring home along with a spicy hoagie.

I go here often and when it's not packed my regular order is being made as I walk in. Today I heard someone complaining about service. I'm from NJ and honestly it's a bagel shop not a restaurant. You order your food, you get your food and you eat it. The food is delicious but I think people want their bagels hand fed and hands kissed. That's not Jersey. Also half the time people here are so self absorbed they got no clue where to stand, if only there was a huge lighted sign that says order here. If I worked there I'd be pretty annoyed too. Petty people reviews about bagels being out.. Get there earlier ‍ too much cream cheese? Take some off. Not made exactly how you like it? Make your own. Don't take stars away because they don't make them how one person likes it.

My 2 stars do not reflect the quality of the food!! The bagels were good. They miss the accuracy of our order on two items... both were to have extra egg. I'm thinking the "person" taking my order is tuned out. There was a limited supply left of the bagels. We knew it and she stated that as well. So we placed our selection and she "carefully" wrote it down! Good job! Bad job... She took so long that the bagels we selected when there was no one else in the shop were quickly taken by the other staff member WITHOUT ASKING what we selected. When you're giving your order and you specify exactly the bagels you want from what's remaining but the hostess mess's up by not bagging your bagels first.. Disappointing!! And No apology!! What's worse is when staff members "whisper" about the customer in front of them! To the Owner... you have a great shop! And great products! Your hustling!! Don't let your front staff represent you poorly!!

The bagels themselves were good. Nice texture and i enjoyed the made from scratch approach. I understand the brand is expanding rapidly now which is a great thing as a good bagel is hard to find and this should alleviate the poor customer service. It was poorly received by the staff today I wanted to browse the wares today. The grill cook was very vocal in should know my order before I arrive. Now, if I was at Pats, Genos, or Kats, I would understand that Jersey mentality but I was at a bagel shop in a strip mall in Nashville...well not even in Nashville.... As the brand expands, the Jersey dilutes. Good quality for the area and better customer service as the market expects. Win/Win

It's been a bit since we tried Jersey Oven and we wanted to give them another chance so we grabbed a bunch of bagels and cream cheese last month. It was much better overall and our whole family enjoyed their bagels. The strawberry cream cheese had an odd gritty texture to it so next time we'd try a different cream cheese (or just get a plain one). We're glad we tried them again and will be back.

Been here many-a times. Great food, very quick service. If you don't want 3 lbs of cream cheese on your bagel, order it light. Pork roll is great, sausage breakfast sandwich is great. Love the everything bagel and Kaiser rolls. The corned beef sandwich is to die for! Everything comes with the New Jersey attitude ;) best bagels in Nashville

Good bagels. Unfortunate that you can not order ahead. Their pork roll is 10/10 so good. Bagel sandwiches come loaded up. Tons of parking since it is in a strip mall. Great options for bagels in the area.

For this area the bagels are very legit. I love real NYC bagels and while these fall a little short, they get pretty close to the real thing. If you want lox however, sorry they don't have them. I find it crazy that a bagel place wouldn't sell lox or fully dressed style bagels.

The bagels here are GREAT as others have pointed out but the customer service SUCKS! At first I thought it was an off day but as I come back because of the good I've noticed the workers are just nice to ALL customers especially people of color. IF THIS IS INDEED THE CASE PLEASE ADVERTISE THAT AND I WILL KINDLY SPEND MY GREEN DOLLARS ELSEWHERE. PS....The cook wipes his nose excessively (COCAINE PROBLEM?? just sayin

I grabbed lunch at Jersey Oven in Mount Juliet, TN. I was very hungry and looking for some great bagels. I ordered the pastrami and swiss sandwich. This bagel shop makes fresh bagels and has a grill to cook up hot food for bagel sandwiches. Service is simple, you walk in and order at the counter. I waited a few minutes after ordering and my food was ready. My pastrami sandwich was large with plenty of meat and cheese on a garlic bagel. The pastrami had a good salty slightly smoky flavor to it and it was juicy. There was lots of cheese to balance out the meat. Some veggies on the sandwich would have been nice, but the sandwich hit the spot and resolved my hunger. I was expecting the texture of a new york bagel, however it was lacking that dense chewiness. Other than that, I enjoyed my food and ordered an everything bagel to-go to make a breakfast sandwich at home later. There is also a deli case with processed meats to purchase on the side. Jersey Oven is a go.

Will drive from East Nashville to Mt. Juliet for these bagels. Out of all the shops in the city these are the closest to a NYC bagel you'll get in TN. Fresh bagels, and better sandwiches.

I am now a certified bagel addict because of this place. The pork roll egg and cheese with SPK was amazing on an everything bagel. Wanted to try something sweet while I was there also so I got a French toast bagel with cinnamon sugar cream cheese. This place is amazing. Great prices, great food. Just go.

This is a godsend for me -a Jersey transplant- here in Mt Juliet/Nashville! I am willing to drive from Nashville just for this one. Bagels are authentic and the environment always gives me nostalgic vibes from my home state! Service is fast and friendly! Just keep in mind that it is very popular so try to get there as early as it opens. On a weekday, I got lucky with what I wanted when I showed up just before it closed. Give them a try and you won't regret it!

I'm From NJ and love this place. Sad they don't do pizza anymore but we always go for the pork roll egg and cheese on a garlic bagel!

Jersey Oven is my happy place. Their bagels are unmatched across the Nashville area. I wish I could eat one of their breakfast sandwiches every day for the rest of my life.

It will sound insane to non-bagel lovers, but 5 months ago I bought a house in Mount Juliet, just based on the reviews of this place. I am a bagel snob and have eaten them everywhere. I start my day with a bagel and newspaper (now on my IPad) so great bagels dictated the house location. These are fantastic and they actually deliver them every morning to other businesses around Nashville! The bagels are boiled, then baked to perfection: perfect skin, density, and flavor. What sets this place apart is that they have the grilled pork roll! In other parts of Jersey it's called Taylor ham. But it is the same. I grew up on fried bologna, and this is an excellent alternative. They place is busy, so happy and grateful for this local family run operation.

While the bagel was on point....omg the workers are horrendous. Zombies without personality might be the best way to explain it. I don't know a better way to say it. I personally prefer my bagel with a bit of toast on outside and chewy on inside. Not here I guess, was more like an airport microwave heated for 12 seconds. And then the clearly annoyed counter girl must have put a tub of cream cheese on each bagel and wasted perfectly good cream cheese. The grunt as I got my bag topped it off. I hope the owner looks at reviews and tries to address, cuz we could use great bagel shops.

Not only are their bagels delicious (I always get the French toast bagel with honey walnut cream cheese, hubby always gets pork roll "all the way" on an onion bagel), but the customer service is amazing and they are an integral part of the community. I have seen bagel donations to the help center and they have offered free bagels to the community. We love this location and hope they never leave!

Cute Bagel Seeds Jar... Came at around 11 am. Bagels weren't soft enough for me. Felt a bit like they were waiting around for awhile. Too much cream cheese on the bagels, but an easy wipe off typically... Walnut Honey cream cheese was splendid. Blueberry bagel was just blue, no blueberry flavor. Cinnamon Raisin bagel coulda used more raisins... Service was fairly quick, nice staff, decent price. 3/5

I moved from the northeast to Nashville almost 10 years ago and I will tell anyone I know that the two food items I miss the most are Chinese food and bagels. Jersey Oven is saving my LIFE when it comes to bagels. First, you walk in, it smells amazing, and the staff greets you immediately. One of the owners took her time to personally help my partner and I pick what to eat and even gave us a bagel sample while we waited for our food (literally ripped a bagel in half and gave us each half). She made sure we were enjoying everything while we ate, we bonded over being from the northeast and living in Nashville AND she even brought us cream cheese to try even though we couldn't take any with us (hot day, not going straight home). Being in Jersey Oven felt like being in a bagel shop around the corner from my childhood home. It's no frills but it's perfect. The sandwich came out super hot and tasty. Best pork roll I've had in a really long time. The bagels were INSANE. SO GOOD. We took a dozen home. I can't wait to get more bagels and cream cheese and another pork roll sandwich.

Everything here was excellent! The customer service was so refreshing! I was greeted and my order was immediately taken. Questions I had were politely answered and order was processed within minutes. There was a dining area with everything you'd need within a few steps. It was bright, clean and the food was well labeled and within sight. There was a public restroom available for customers and the climate control was perfect. We ordered one sandwich, and two bagels with cream cheese. The sandwich was Pastrami and Swiss with Spicy Brown Mustard on a pumpernickel / Rye Bagel. It was filled! I can't believe there was that much filling for such a reasonable cost. The bagels were the perfect texture and size and very fresh! We also had a couple of canned sodas which were not price hiked! Thank you! We found this place while traveling but will make sure to stop each time we are close!

The Food makes Me think Of mornings in NY @ NJ!! Fresh Breads and genuine Bagels great selection of sandwiches . The service is friendly and for those who need help making their choices very helpful!! Glad Middle Tennessee has a genuine Bagel bakery!!! Just a real North East style Establishment! A must try.. Best bagels in the area. They remind me of the bagel shops that I love in CT. My favorite thing to get at Jersey Oven is egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. Staff is efficient to get orders out quickly and are friendly. I wouldn't say it's a very aesthetic place and has minimal seating, but I usually get take out anyway

Wow wow wow! That's it-Mic drop!! This place is REALLY GOOD!! Y'all need to check it out and get the pork roll breakfast sandwich,you will not be disappointed AT ALL!! They are fast at making them, they are pleasant to order from! Ambiance is cool, little crowded at times but that's not a bad thing!

He Said: Leaving town after a fun weekend and She Said spotted this place along our route. Sausage roll? Yes, please! The meat was flavorful and nicely portioned and the cheese was melty and a great compliment. I got it on a sesame bagel, which was a decent choice. Maybe I'd try an everything or garlic next time to bump up the flavor even more. She Said: I love a good pumpernickel bagel and this place delivered on the rye flavor I crave. They were heavy handed with the cream cheese, but I just know to ask them to dial it back next time. We'll definitely pop in when next we're in the area. Potty Points: No trip to the potty for me on this visit!

Egg & cheese on everything bagel w/ a side of honey walnut cream cheese. Remove the top save that for later. When your done eating the rest of the other half ( I add ketchup) spread that honey walnut cream cheese on the top you saved. breakfast & dessert at the same damn time! 2 in 1 baby!

Simple and to the point, try the pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich. Hands down the best sandwich I've had in YEARS. The French toast bagel, sooo good. There's no other way I want to start my mornings now. Thank you Jersey Oven, you've found a new regular customer.

Stumbled upon this place by chance and it was incredible. Fresh made bagels, homemade schmears, hand sliced meats and incredible generous portions. I got the Sausage, Egg and Cheese on a Plain Bagel and it was stacked and the eggs were perfectly cooked. My husband got the Corned Beef Reuben on Rye and it was piled high, thinly sliced and delicious. The woman at the counter was so warm, so friendly and fast, you don't feel rushed when ordering. Clean tables, even with a small staff. Lots of regulars who were in for their usual - which doesn't surprise me. If we lived nearby, our love of that Reuben would be a problem. We'll look for an excuse to come to Mt. Juliet to eat here again soon.

Absolute great bagel/sandwich shop. I am a sucker for the egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Sometimes I treat myself and get a hot pastrami and cheese on a bagel. Very authentic east coast bagels and the staff is always patient and friendly.

Saw this place while out & about in MJ! I've been to NJ many times & eaten my fair share of Jersey bagels. This place is the real deal! Complete with Pork Roll! You can't get any closer to legit NJ bagels unless you were actually in NJ! We loved the onion bagel & the everything bagel we ordered! The Pork Roll sandwich is outstanding! Bagels were served hot & fresh! The chewy texture but yet fluffy bagels are just right! Staff is friendly too! Can't wait to eat my way through all the bagel & cream cheese flavors here!

Too many choices! It's overwhelming. This is the best bagel place in Middle Tennessee. Greeted by the aroma of breakfast and lunch with a smooth fresh brewed coffee to follow the tasty bagel sandwich.

All my New Yorkers, New Jersey peeps, ‍ run. Don't want. Run to this place for your bagels. When i say it's the best bagels in the entire state of tennesse. It's the best. The closest it can be besides having to travel to New York. They are huge, soft and chewy. Crossing my fingers we get a spot on the boro. Friendly staff, feels just like a bagel shop. Over all nice little place in a strip mall.

Wow! Simply the best bagels and service! We were driving from Pittsburgh to Dallas and stopped to visit family in Lebanon, TN. Visited Jersey Oven at opening before continuing our drive. Picked up 2 egg/cheese sand which bagels for the drive and a dozen to have for home. Great, great, flavor. Can't wait to get back for more.

An east coast bagel shop right in the heart of Mt. Juliet?! Yes and it's fantastic. This was a recommendation from a friend after I complained about the lack of good bagel shops in MJ. Jersey Oven is run by a husband and wife team, who brought their love of New Jersey/New York local delis and baked good to Tennessee. All of their bagels and breads are baked fresh daily. I sampled some of their fresh baked baguettes and I was hooked instantly. I bought one to take home to the family. My first trip here was all about breakfast. I ordered a pork roll b-fast sandwich. Pork roll can be best described as if ham, bologna, and a kielbasa all went to freak town and made a beautiful pork baby. I got an egg, cheese, and pork roll all on a everything bagel. I got it made house style with salt, pepper and ketchup. My doctor wouldn't be stoked on this meal, but YOLO! This was definitely a heavy start to the day, so I probably would eat this every day, but maybe treat myself everyone now and then. The pizza is my next menu item to try!

I'm originally from "Joisey"...though no one pronounces it that way. So was looking forward to my first visit The egg & cheese with thinly sliced Trenton brand pork roll on toasted bagel is authentic like you'd get in a Jersey diner. Quick service, and prepared-to-order. Fresh Hard roll would be nice option too. Jersey Oven is a better food choice than Panera for a couple of dollars more, though Panera has the abundant seating. Maybe I missed it...prices not clearly displayed. Thought I was in a bar ordering drinks without prices. Friendly service. Tasty. You might skip adding salt. Also worth stopping in for self-serve coffee (pronounced "cawfee")...though insulated coffee sleeves were missing. Welcome to the neighborhood...and wishing Jersey Oven success in Mt Juliet. PS Now if we could only import an authentic Ripper Hot Dog from Rutt's Hut in Clifton PPS Publix sells Taylor Port Roll, and I buy it regularly to serve egg sandwiches at home.

These folks are from Jersey and love their state and offerings so much they want to share it with us Tennesseans down here, so head on over and support them! We need them to stick around and keep making killer sandwiches, bagels, and all the fixin's for us Southern folk! Their shop is small, but perfect for what they offer. Tons of flavor options for the bagels and lots of choices for cream cheese varieties. Everything is super fresh and house-made right there in the shop. Meats are sliced and prepared-to-order. This place has the delicious bagels and great hoagies!! Stopped by traveling thru and best decision all day!! Hey the pork roll with egg and cheese (you'll thank me later), can't go wrong with it. We will be coming back next time we roll through here....for sure!!

First, I'm from Jersey, and therefore I know 3 things, bagels, pizza, and Italian food. The second someone told me about this place I went there. I got a TAYLOR HAM, egg & cheese w/ salt, pepper, ketchup on an everything bagel. I was so happy when I bit into that sandwich and just demolished it! The food in TN just flat out blows for a lot of the NJ staples I sorely miss. The bagels are so amazing and perfect, so fresh and chewy and they have a great selection. They also have some Italian bread loaves and I always get one or two so I can make some giant subs for work, again perfect flavor, texture, everything. And then I saw they had BIALYS! Bialys in Tennessee, probably the only spot in the whole state you can get one, let alone anyone knows what they are. I go just about every weekend, if I don't get my regular mentioned above I get the GUTBUSTER, which is a giant TAYLOR HAM sammich w/ cheese, extremely satisfying. I also get a half dozen or more bagel to bring home, cut in half, and plastic ziplock in the freezer sp they keep for days. They even put the everything bagels in separate paper bags so they don't junk up the other flavors I get. My favorite is the everything and the french toast, though I have zero complaints about this shop I do yearn for a french toast bagel from a shop back home. The NJ shop puts some crunchy bits on their french toast bagel and they have a little more sugar/cinnamon and it's amazing. The Jersey Oven french toast bagel is very good too, this is just a nitpick if I had to find anything to say in that context. Go here and get some bagels! And I know a lot of people don't know WTF TAYLOR HAM (aka pork roll) is. You can't explain the flavor, it's got a tang and it's amazing. Ask them to try a piece you will be hooked! Just call it TAYLOR HAM instead of pork roll. This is a timeless NJ argument, if you are from Northern Jersey it's Taylor Ham and if you're from Southern Jersey it's pork roll. The owner is a great guy and it's nice to have a piece of home here in TN.

Finally found a place that makes fresh bagels daily. I was able to meet the owner/baker on my first visit. He was so sure I would love his product he grabbed a bagel from the rack and handed me a piece to try. He informed me how me makes the bagels fresh every morning. I appreciate him taking the time to speak with me and provide me with a sample. I have come back twice based on my interaction with him and the pride he has in his product. Please come in a visit you will not be disappointed. Fresh great tasting bagels and spreads. Oh I almost forgot to mention the blueberry and cream cheese filled pastries- those are delicious too!

This review has been sitting in my drafts for an embarrassingly long time because I keep mistakenly giving this establishment chance after chance but at the end of the day they don't care about their customers so here goes. Bagels are decent but they come with a side of gaslighting and defiance. Every time I ask for my bagel to be cut in half or toasted, I'm either gaslit and told it "doesn't need" to be toasted because they're "fresh" (newsflash: I don't care), and/or my request of it being cut is blatantly ignored repeatedly. Does it cost extra to run a bagel through a damn toaster for 10 seconds to warm it up? No? Does it take more than 2 seconds to cut the bagel in half? No? So why are my requests for my order constantly ignored? I don't think I'm asking for too much. I'm from NJ and this place sure isn't very "Jersey like". No bagel shop in my 27 years of being a NJ resident has ever been as defiant and difficult as these folks. I'm a PAYING customer and should be treated as such. If you want to tell me how my bagel should be prepared then I shouldn't be the one paying! Not to mention, their bagels aren't good enough for them to be dictating my requests. When most of the seeds of the everything bagel fall off before I take a bite, you don't get the privilege of telling me how it's going to be. That's not how this works. I've given this business a ton of money the past two years I've been a TN resident and they don't care. Their name should be changed to "dictatorship bagels" since every time I come here I know I'm going to be under a dictatorship for breakfast.

This visit I opted for the Reuben only on an everything bagel. It was tasty, but a salty choice on my part. Always delicious food, but definitely a "Jersey" atmosphere, so don't be offended by the lack of southern hospitality. Get your bagel and be on your way.
