"Mediterranean fare doesn’t get much better OTP than the dishes and baked goods from this longtime favorite. A restaurant-grocery hybrid, Jerusalem Bakery and Grill features plates of hummus, falafel, and baba ganoush served with fresh-baked pita. The shawarma, kabab, or lamb shank platters are heartier options on the menu. Jerusalem Bakery also includes locations in Roswell and Marietta." - Alex Leo-Guerra

Jerusalem Bakery is delicious! I absolutely love their freshly made pita breads and crispy falafel. The bread is so soft, and you can get a pack of six for only two dollars. The falafel is always made to order, so it comes out super hot and scrumptious. Their hummus is also very smooth and creamy. These three ingredients are the perfect items to make amazing gyro wraps. I also recently tried their kebab platters. They give you so much delicious meat and rice! I definitely want to try their shawarma and lamb in the future. Make sure to check out Jerusalem Bakery for amazing, fresh foods!

Google
Delicious and Fresh Mediterranean eatery. We liked the Pita wraps and pockets. They also have a section for Baklavas and Turkish Delight. Reasonable prices. Quick and Friendly service. They have seating tables both inside and outside.

Google
Recommended by a friend as the go-to spot for the best Mediterranean food, we walked in with high expectations. Our excitement was met with deliciousness as we savored the hummus, lentil soup, shawarma, chicken platter, and lamb plate. Every dish, including the sides and sauces, was excellent, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. The added bonus is their store where you can find a variety of Mediterranean foods, including baklava. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for an exceptional Mediterranean dining experience.

Google
The atmosphere here reminds me of back home. I absolutely loved the vibe here, especially with Fairuz playing in the background and fresh baked bread out on the tables. Food was great, and so was the knafa!

I had an early appointment in the area and decided to hang around until they opened to order lunch before heading back to my side of town. I got well into the mixed schwarma over hummus before noticing that some of the chicken was still pink, and cold so I don’t think it was cooked all the way through. It was really good until I noticed this, now I’m scared to eat the rest. Just praying that I don’t get sick as a result smh.

I love the food and its freshness. The environment is great and the restaurant is easy to find.

Google
Ordered a Chicken kabob platter, everything was good except for the hummus. No taste at all. Hummus from Costco is better. They used to have great Hummus with flavor. But the chicken was freshly cooked and it was great! Took about 20 minutes to get my food but I'll wait if someone is making it fresh. I might give it a shot one more time.

Google
Friends raved about this place so we went, but food was okay okayish. We ordered vege platter and hummus. Great bakery products though

Yelp
I have been DYING to try this spot! I've heard so many good things. Service was standard but efficient. They answered my questions, which helped me decide on my order, but nothing more and nothing less. First and foremost, this place is so reasonably priced! I ordered a combo, and I was so surprised by how large my sandwich was. For my combo, I got the chicken shwarma sandwich and the tabbouleh salad. The chicken shwarma sandwich was rich in flavors. I got every side and sauce, so every bite was tasty! However, I do wish I got something spicier, but I was told this was their most popular sandwich (understandably so). The tabbouleh salad was extremely refreshing. The olive oil dressing complemented the salad, which went very well with my sandwich wrap. Next time, I'm going to try the spicy chicken kufta kabob. I just really need a stronger kick. I'm also going to try some of their baked goods - I couldn't stop staring at them! They looked so delicious. I can't wait to come again.

Yelp
--Location/Parking-- Located inside of a strip mall. Plenty of parking --Ambience-- A cross between a bakery with sweets on one side and a fast food restaurant on the other side. Plenty of tables to sit and eat. --Service/Staff-- Staff was friendly and gave recommendations and explaining the different dessert types. --Food/Products-- I stuck with only the pre-made dessert. I plan to go back and try out there hot food at a later time. --Capacity-- Plenty of tables to grab lunch or a quick early bite. --Overall-- Nice bakery/restaurant tucked in all the way in the back of the strip mall. I plan to go back and try their hot food.

Yelp
I love this place! I tried my first beef shawarma here, and I recommend it to anyone! The prices are very reasonable for the large amount of food given, and the service is great--all the workers are sweet. The place has a sort of food store inside, which is really cool; they have lots of fresh desserts that I need to try soon! I love how saucy and fresh the shawarma is; you can see the workers cutting the meat right in front of you, and they allow you to customize it however you want with no charge! I love their spicy and garlic sauce--definitely recommend it. My beef shawarma was around $10 and free parking!

Yelp
What's not to love when you encounter friendly staff, delicious middle eastern fare, and rows and rows of colorful desserts? JB also has a grocery store attached that has spices, fresh pita bread, and a dessert area with baklava, Turkish delight and other sweets. I ordered the Jerusalem Super Plate which is perfect for two. It came with a fall off the bone lamb shank, chicken and beef kebabs, hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, pita and a tahini salad. I had to resist ordering crispy falafel and the savory meat pies in the display cases near the registers. Anything made with nutty tahini keeps me coming back, and I crave cuisine that involves dipping and scooping up flavorful food with warm and pillowy bread, pita, and naan. My mom taught me not to waste food, and it's easy to leave a clean plate in this place. Highly recommend!

Mukesh S.

Yelp
Worst baklava; it's just oil and that also is sticky. I don't want to go to this place ever and I suggest others also don't get baklava here.

Aparajita S.

Yelp
If you love Mediterranean food, then definitely stop by! I had gone a few years ago, but decided to stop by with my family since I was craving hummus and baklava. For starters we ordered two plates of hummus and pita bread. The humus was delicious and surprisingly pretty heavy when the four of us finished. For the main meal, we went with the spicy chicken kufta plate and the chicken shawarma plate. Both plates were enough to share with four people. Out of the two, I liked the chicken kufta more because it was much more flavorful and not dry! The chicken shawarma also tasted good. Both came with sides of yogurt salad, baba ganoush, hummus, pita bread and some greens. We finished with baklava which was delicious! It wasn't overly sweet but quite flaky and delicious. We ordered our food at the counter and got it within 10 minutes. I look forward to coming back for the spicy chicken kufta and baklava

Yelp
This is a great place to order lunch delivery from. I have more than once and the food is always reasonably priced for the huge portions you get. Recently my mom and I ordered the feta cheese pie pocket, beef shawarma plate, and the chicken kabab plate. She really enjoyed her chicken plate. I tried a piece - the chicken was cooked perfectly and moist. As for the beef shawarma plate - the fat will melt in your mouth, and I do not eat fat any other way! The feta cheese pocket was simple but great. If you like cheese, then this is the perfect side item for you. All of the plates here are hefty, so come hungry, share, or expect leftovers. The hummus and pita bread, as well as the other sides that come with the lunch plate are all delicious and seasoned just right. I would highly recommend trying this place if you haven't yet and look forward to hopefully trying more menu items down the road.

Yelp
DELICIOUS!!!! The sandwich is very refreshing, the flavors are light but savory. The baklava .. don't get me started, I just had to buy more before I left It was my first time trying fresh hummus, it was so delicious. Customer service was just fine , they were super busy so I don't mind!! Overall I would like to visit again soon and try more of the menu!!

Sumedha M.

Yelp
I got the falafel sandwich, hummus, lentil soup, fries, zaatar bread, and packaged baklava. The falafel sandwich was great -- loved the mix of salty and sour from the pickled vegetables. The lentil soup was also good (hard to mess up). Fries were slightly soggy and the hummus was just okay. The Zaatar bread was also just okay. The baklava tasted old and stale -- definitely my least favorite item. The service was straightforward -- very curt. But the service isn't really important. The ambiance wasn't very welcoming but once again, it doesn't need to be welcoming. You come here for the food, not for the experience.

Yelp
I used to come here frequently with church friends on Sunday for lunch. I now pass by here for work and was craving shawarma. I tried to call ahead to order and it took me 3 tries before someone answered the phone. I ordered the mixed shawarma plate (chicken and steak) with a side of hot sauce ($16.99). The parking lot was full on this Sunday late afternoon. There were more people than I expected at around 4:30. I had to stand in line to pay for my food and it wasn't ready yet. I walked around and got some Turkish delights. Make sure you ask for hot sauce again since they forgot mine and you'll have to pack your own silverware. The plate smells delicious. A large pita covered the shawarma and rice with sides of hummus and Tabbouleh salad. I love the chicken more than the stake. The chicken was tender and packed with flavor. The beef was a bit dry and had fatty pieces. I would love if they heated up the pita. But overall, a delicious meal. I will skip the Turkish delights and get the baklava next time. I thought the price were steep ($6.99) for just a handful of pieces.

Charlis F.

Yelp
Meh. I expected way better. I'm very familiar with this a type of food so I went in with high expectations. Chill deli style atmosphere and easy parking. I got the Chicken Shwarma plate ($16.99) and feta cheese pocket ($3). The chicken was slightly dry, which is something I've rarely experienced with shawarma. Like the hallmark of shawarma is juicy, delicious chicken. The hummus was good, but nothing special. The rice, however, was great with a lovely hint of nutmeg. The feta pocket was good, but it wasn't warmed enough and that took away from the experience. I'd probably try them again but wouldn't go out of my way.

Yelp
Tried the beef shawarma sandwich combo with fries and it was very good. They gave a lot of fries and when they assemble the sandwich they ask you what you want in it and how spicy--the cabbage is a must (very refreshing component to the savory meat). Then, they seal the wrap in tin foil and put it on the flat grill for a minute. It was very filling. On a day where I'm reallllly hungry, I could probs finish the whole thing but today, when I was just hungry, I took the other half home for leftovers. Price was fair. It was $12 + tip for the combo. If you wanted to get a plate it ranges from $13-$18 as of now. Staff was nice and low key. There's a lot of tables and chairs. The bakery section is on the left. I got there quite early (10:30am) and was one of the first customers so they are serving pastries AND lunch by then. Located in plaza parking lot.

Karla C.

Yelp
The place was is half restaurant and half store with various middle eastern items. There were people when we got there but quickly got packed. Staff is reserved but answered any and all questions I had about the food. I definitely needed it when choosing some toppings for my shwarma. Prices are mis but the food was very delicious, some were betterthan others though. I'm not too familiar with food from Jerusalem but it was similar to other Middle Eastern restaurants I had visited in the past. Located in a shopping center, there's ample parking and good with large groups.

Kathleen P.

Yelp
The place is huge. There's plenty of seating available. Lots of space and it is very clean inside which is nice. They have a convenient kiosk you can order and pay from. Then they announce your number to pick up your order. I would say this is a good place to grab a quick lunch or catch up with a friend/coworker over a meal. The food came out relatively fast and the vibes are nice. Service is standard. Would go again if craving the food!

Sofia S.

Yelp
Wow! My husband has told me about this legendary place for years but today was my first time having their food and it was AMAZING! Best chicken gyro I've had! And their babaganoush is also the best I've had and it's one of my favorite foods! Top notch tabbouleh too! Really great quality food! We had it delivered and it was super quick service and just so delish! I'm so glad we live so close by now! I can't wait to go in person soon! Definitely try them!

Shazia A.

Yelp
This place is my absolute all-time favorite. I can never go wrong. And I have tried everything from their menu. The Taste of Jerusalem is delicious with pieces of almost every item in their menu. The spicy chicken kufta kebab is THE BEST. So delicious and so juicy. Definately the perfect hangout spot. The Bakery items are fresh. The ambience is really good.

Kyles B.

Yelp
Went back again with some more people. I forgot to get pictures of the pistachio and walnut baklava, the lamb platter, the pomegranate drink, and the baba ganoush. This place is still amazing! The falafels were very seasoned and delicious, and honestly the best tasting falafels I have had yet. The lentil soup was ok, it was bland in comparison to how well seasoned/spiced everything else is, but I do think if I had the soup before eating everything else it would've tasted better. Another thing was the service was a lot nicer and the people seemed to be happier when I went a couple days ago. I also checked out the store that was next door, and there are some nice finds in there! The prices are extremely reasonable for spices and dried beans and what not. Im giving a four star rating to account for the lentil soup just because I personally wasn't that pleased/amazed at the flavor.

Joann N.

Yelp
Can't say enough good about this restaurant! We placed a pickup order to eat in our hotel. This food....! So full of flavor! It was fabulous! We may have to eat there again before we leave the area! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Cassandra M.

Yelp
Now y'all listen UP. This place ... absolutely yum !!! The hubby and I were in the mood to try somethin new - we always would pass by here on hour way to the doctors office / so we thought - heck ! Why not try this place out . Y'all - it was SO GOOOD !!! We got a chicken shawarma and beef shawarma- the showstopper was the beef shawarma- if your trying to decide which to get .. GET THE BEEF SHAWARMA- I know what I'm talkin about . The baba ghanosh was tangy - so be prepared for that and the falafel are earthy ~ I might stick with fries next time ! Y'all 5 stars for the beef shawarma - I gobbled that thing down too quick 2 snap a picture. Seriously ! TMI warning : made me a little gassy . So consider that if you're on a date or somethin haha!

Yelp
Remember a few years back when I did this "best Philly cheese steaks in Georgia?" @jerusalembakery in Alpharetta (they have a few different locations) makes an awesome JERUSALEM CHEESESTEAK SANDWICH that comes out perfect every time! The fresh ingredients and flavor paired with the perfectly pressed wrap always hits the spot. It pairs up well with their crunchy French fries and cold crisp Coca-Cola. They make an amazing pizza as well but it's hard to not order this wrap when I go visit. They have plenty of space with plenty of tables although they can get busy during lunch time (because they're awesome). They also have a side area where you can pick from a variety of spices to take home as well as some of their sweet treats. I've posted about this spot before so if you still haven't stopped by to check them out... It's on you!! If you stop by, make sure you grab a side of their lentil soup as well #rolieats #goodfood #goodeats #Alpharetta #jerusalembakery #wraps #cheesesteak #cheesesteaksandwich #frenchfries #lentilsoup #goodmeal #happybelly

Yelp
It's not the first time we've come to enjoy lunch. On this occasion we ordered a dish for two people and our friend ordered a dish with lamb. The meats are very well cooked, and the accompaniments are a portion to leave you very satisfied. Although on this occasion we did not order any dessert, we recommend trying the pistachio ones, although for my taste they are quite sweet. The place is very spacious, and the people who prepare the food are very nice. You can see where they prepare it and the bakery area, so you can see the maintenance and cleaning. I don't give 5 stars, because they had a tray with a dessert, next to the place where orders are placed and it was not covered. Likewise, the bathroom lacked a little maintenance. The Parking is large, uncovered and in front of the restaurant. You can buy bags of pita and other breads right there. Connected to the restaurant is a market where you can buy many delicious things that you want to try and prepare at home.

Leroy D.

Yelp
I stop in at least once a week and they never disappoint. I don't know too many other restaurants in the area that can say the same. The Hummas, falafel, Shawarma are all top notch. Don't get the platter unless you are sharing or want a full meal of leftovers. Great little jewel in Alpharetta. Go early or late for lunch as they get really busy during the noon rush. I try something new every time and have always been impressed.

Angela W.

Yelp
This place has the best shawarma I've ever had in my life. It has plenty of parking in the parking lot and is on State Bridge Rd, fairly close to North Point Mall. The prices are great for the quality of the food, and there is plenty of indoor seating. I get the chicken shawarma wrap every time I come although the plates and other meats are also good. I also frequently purchase their pita bread from their bakery, which I believe they make fresh in house. The chicken is cut directly from the stake/pit (?) in front of you, they put it in the pita, and warm it up on the grill. Then you're able to customize your sandwich and add toppings to it such as salad, onion, lettuce, sauce, etc. Whether adding the toppings to your sandwich is authentic or not, I don't know as other places don't always do it, but they're freaking delicious and I loooove loading my sandwiches/wraps with veggies and sauce. I always have a bit of my sandwich leftover in the end which makes for a great snack later too. Their spicy sambal sauce and tabouleh salad are amazing, be sure to ask for some with your wrap! They're what really make the wrap for me :)

Aleecia C.

Yelp
Another Alpharetta gem! I'm from Wayne, Michigan, which borders a town called Dearborn. Dearborn, MI has some of the most authentic and flavorful Med cuisine in the country. Jerusalem bakery is the only place in Alpha, or metro-ATL, where I know I can get the real deal, when I've got a craving for real Med! They have a bakery, and you can watch the bakers at their craft! They pull out these large pans of fresh baked pita and it smells amazing! All of the baklava's and other sweets are hand made to perfection! My favorite is the veggie platter, falafel tabouleh, salad, fresh pita and tzatziki and hummus! The seasoning is perfect every time. They have a large dining area, perfect for a bite while you are out shopping, a great lunch spot or carry out dinner. One of our faves! PS. They have a small Mediterranean grocery store as well, including hookah's!

Miranda G.

Yelp
3.5/5. The Shawarma sandwich was delicious and unique. I have never tried a sandwich with beets and pickles which gives it extra tanginess. The reason is not 4.0 is because the bread and the beef was a little cold. We picked it up immediately after we got called, but still the food was lukewarm. I would like to go back to try the desserts! I want to try the Baklava and maybe that will raise the score of the bakery. The ambiance felt like a normal bakery, nothing special.

Queenie D.

Yelp
We've been going to the Marietta location for a long time, and this was our first time here. I would have to say, this is much better than the other location - the flavors here although much more robust, are not overwhelming. I can really taste the different layers of spices. The falafel was much crunchier but I lighter and less oily. The rice was 10x better - it was moist and fresh, and you can really taste the authentic mixture of different spices - the Marietta location doesn't even taste like this? This location also asks you what fillings you'd like on your falafel as they're making it, which was awesome. Their side of tabouleh was also *chef's kiss* All in all, I don't think I'll be the same after trying this location haha. The Marietta location is much closer to us, but we may just hold off and wait on the times when we come to Alpharetta. Two thumbs up.

Carly R.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Authentic Mediterranean cuisine and a great staff. They also have an adjoining bakery and grocery that offers a lot of great stuff.

Chris F.

Yelp
Had to wait a while but that's because they were making fresh shawarma, absolutely worth the wait, it was fantastic

Mop P.

Yelp
food is great. have gone here many times and got catering twice. love the sides and the chicken. but this is the first time i've ordered to go food, the lamb portions are fairly...miniscule

Chibi C.

Yelp
Food was ahhhhhmazingly delicious!!! It looked so good that I ordered too much food for one person. I will be eating this for the next couple meals so it's all good though. Food was served fast but they were also fresh.

Richard F.

Yelp
We have been looking for a good Mediterranean restaurant. We were very surprised. It was very, very good; portions were Large for the money. I don't know why we have never been before we will be back,;and I really like enjoyed looking around in the bakery and the store.

Nina R.

Yelp
Clean and well staffed place where you can grab a high quality gyro or bowl. Their hummus and sides are quite nice. I usually opt for a chicken gyro wrap or bowl and they will customise your meal for you depending on what you want or don't want. I recommend this place as it seems authentic to Middle Eastern cuisine.

Ray C.

Yelp
The cheesesteak is delicious! Addictive even. Quick and simple meal that always hits the spot.

Betty D.

Yelp
The place is so clean and dining friendly. The staff is helpful to explain the pastries and food . I ordered the kebabs which came with rice and this delish cucumber, salad, and amazing hummus. I couldn't stop eating the rice it was so flavorful. The meat was seasoned just right. The hummus was amazing spectacular. There are no words it just melted in your mouth and you can taste the flavor so satisfying really out of this world.. I also ordered the honey drenched pastry that was like eating a funnel cake with pure creamy tasty honey. I also purchased some wheat bread that was yummy. I also went to the connecting store where they had many products. I purchased the different cheeses which weren't as good as I thought. The butter I purchased had not flavor . However the food court and bakery was well worth the trip.simply delicious

Betty S.

Yelp
If you don't like your job then you should mabey change your course all I did was ask for some garlic sauce and hot sauce......Man behind the counter gave me the dirtiest look and then threw them on the counter like he was rolling some dice FOH...food was mediocre Falafel was tasteless Hummus was blah Baba was pretty good ...will I go back yes because the Lamb Shank was tender and mouth watering !!!!

Hans W.

Yelp
Food, service, and restaurant have been consistently great across 4+ visits to the Old milton location.

Aisha A.

Yelp
Great food Loved the family platter that we ordered Great ambiance The grocery store next door makes it very convenient!

Erika W.

Yelp
First time eating food from this region. My palette was pleasantly surprised. I am not sure what I ate but I can't wait to return for more! Service was fantastic!

Joe K.

Yelp
Love the shawarma rolls here. I would prefer the rolls over the plate. As soon as you put the roll in your mouth it is an explosion of flavors. They are reasonably priced as well.

Daria V.

Yelp
Live nearby and regularly enjoy their delicious food. Plenty of seating and great variety of sweets to grab home

Siang Yen F.

Yelp
It was my first time here, I was welcomed by a warm register girl. I didn't know exactly what to order but the menu with pictures gave me some great ideas! I ordered the taste of Jerusalem that seem to include everything. My friend and I loved the food. Some meat was a little dry but flavor was spot on! Will try it again for sure. I enjoyed their cookies too!

Rachel H.

Yelp
This place is always packed! You go to the cashier and order first, then pickup at the counter. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. I usually get the chicken kebob plate or chicken shawarma plate. But I've tried it all. Everything is so good! You can't go wrong. This is the most authentic you can get around here.

Miranda C.

Yelp
Love this place! They have lots of vegetarian options! It's a very casual restaurant. During the lunch timeframe on week days they're extremely busy so plan accordingly! They have a couple tables outside as well! The pizza is surprisingly really good too- it tastes like the dough for the pita bread is the same they use for the pizza!

Mary M.

Yelp
I love this place. Their food is exquisite and I can hardly wait to be down in Marietta again so as to eat one of their delicious wraps!

JNapoleon N.

Yelp
Simply put they're awesome. I love doing business with you all. Thank you so much. The service is stellar top notch.

Hami N.

Yelp
Waiting too long..Not much choices. Eaten better ...Not worth the price .Nice location

Dayna P.

Yelp
My first time here was 4 star, but I think it could easily improve to 5 stars on the next visit... and there will be a next visit! I was just overwhelmed and needed some education on my first visit. You order as you move down the line and I had to figure out the jargon. Check their t-shirts for tips. However, I learned they will help you pick toppings. You just want to move quick because there are a LOT or regulars getting their lunch to go and moving like worker bees who know exactly what they want. There is seating, but not a ton of room when it is busy. There is also a little store that is interesting as you await your food. All in all - this is a gem! You can't bet the falafel or the pita, so fresh!

James R.

Yelp
Great tasting food. You get fast service with quality tasting food. And it's not expensive. The seating is self serve. It gets busy during lunch time, would just call in ahead of time.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Restaurant with a market attached and a great market next door. The menu was a 'bit' confusing to me as I know this type of food but don't know EVERY dish by heart. Ordered the things I know like Shwarma and Falafel and got something very similar to the Doner Kabobs I love to eat in Germany. Food was delicious and was prepared fresh but quick. Would 100% go back and try some new things.
