The Jesuit Church in Luzern was built in 1677 in the Baroque style.
Its plan follows the Jesuit single-nave model, designed to focus attention on preaching and the high altar, with shallow side chapels instead of aisles. The interior is marked by rich stucco work, strong axial symmetry, and abundant light to emphasize the altar and vaulting; Rococo decorative elements were added later.
The exterior remains relatively restrained but is distinguished by its twin onion-domed towers, added slightly later, which give the church its prominent riverfront silhouette along the Reuss.
