great vegan sandwiches, great coffee. I got the sandwich with peppers for an upcharge, worth it. I added hot sauce and black pepper at the condiment bar which I really appreciated. really fantastic all around, definitely would come again!

Probably the best vegan breakfast sandwich! I got the egg and cheese with garlic dill airlines on sourdough and smoked provolone.

Skate bowl outside. Terrific coffee. Vegan everything. Great spot to work remotely as there is strong WiFi (password: rabbitrabbit) and many spots to charge your laptop or other electronics. Be sure to check out the tiny door outside.

Lovely new(ISH) coffee shop in north Portland. Staff was friendly, accommodative and attentive. Nice ambience, delicious vegan sandwich.

A neighborhood gem! My chai latte was delicious and spicy. The person taking my order talked about the place with pride and was so friendly. All vegan menu, too. I will be back!

The overall review hurts because I really wanted to like this place. It's within walking distance, the coffee is very good, and the seating is fine. Service is fine. But the entire time I was there, the music was just too loud. Again, it's a matter of taste but if I want to read or work on the laptop, I don't want to compete with percussive, fast, off beat rock music which is what was played here. I envied the other patrons who had laptops and had the good sense to bring in noise canceling headphones. $4 a cup with one free refill (entirely reasonable). Vegan, which I like. Not sure I'll give this place another try.

What's up with Portland's Yelp scene? Letting an out-of-towner get that FTR for one of the best coffee shops in town. I'm not even sure how I found they have a second location. It's hidden in the middle of a neighborhood. C'mon people, how many places don't hit you with that Vegan tax for choosing an alternative milk option. What are you waiting for? The space is nice and airy, inviting, and dare I say it, beautiful. They stay true to the Jet Black design with black cups, saucers, and plates. No odd scorpion logos here (if ya know, ya know). In addition to unique latte art coffee drinks, they have pastries from Shoofly and Sweet Pea, as well as bagels, and breakfast sammiches available all day. Baristas were super friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, and helpful. Their hearts are the opposite of jet black. If you're feeling frisky after amping it up on caffeine, you can grab your board and try your moves on the mini skate park outside. This is a hidden gem, that I can't wait to see overwhelmed with many happy customers.

I've been to Jet Black Coffee Co multiple times over the past couple of weeks and have found it consistently enjoyable. It's a quiet neighborhood coffee shop just a little bit off of the main thoroughfare of Killingsworth. I typically get cold brew coffee and that's what got me to come back initially. This weekend I tried some of the pastries. The cinnamon roll was awesome and totally worth it. The people behind the counter are friendly and greet you as you come in the door. Your order is ready quickly. Overall a great experience. If you skateboard, there's a mini-skate park attached to the property.

Fantastic coffee shop, and close to home. Let's start with the coffee, I almost always get an oat latte, and theirs is excellent. Pastries? Yes! Vegan breakfast items? Yep! Oh and also a badass little (semi private so not totally sure I can skate it but it looks fun) attached skate park. I also like that this is a bit off the main roads, so more neighborhood-y. Staff is super friendly as well!

Good coffee very full bodied, no bitterness but not sweet either which i appreciate. They also have unique daily specials and is located in a quiet area.

This is literally the best coffee shop in town. They have such good quality coffee, it always hits the spot. Their staff are incredibly genuine & kind! Their aesthetics are great & always feel inspiring when I want to sit & do work on my laptop. Love them so much!!! You have to check them out!!

Love this spot. Vibes are on point and staff are super nice. I just wish they were open a bit later bc I never want to leave at 3! Milks are all vegan.
