A walk‑up café in a 1908 bungalow where the signature Café Borgia and house bakes have kept regulars returning for years. Profiled by local TV and cherished by Hyde Park neighbors, it’s pure old‑school Tampa coffee culture.

The uniquely set coffee shop is worlds apart from any others in Tampa. The owner, Jessica, was as pleasant as could be, making the first time visit warm and friendly. The hot lattes and homemade food were delicious. Jet City Espresso Hyde Park, Thank you!

Google
What a lovely little find! The coffees were great, and the breakfast sandwiches (the Sconewich and the Matt) were delicious! Plus the lady behind the counter was too sweet! We’ll definitely be back!

What a ln amazing find!!! Googled coffee around the area and stumbled across this little place. So cute! It’s a To-go coffee shop situated in an old home in Hyde Park. It is off the beaten path a bit, so it might be a little harder to find but totally worth it. Such a nice lady running the place, so genuine and friendly. She took our orders and let us know everything is made from scratch. We tried the cafe Borgia and the caramello for the coffee selections. Both were delicious and came with homemade whipped cream!! For the food, we had the loaded avacado toast and the sconewich. Both so flavorful and fresh! She delivered the food out to us while we sat and enjoyed the peacefulness and nice weather on the porch. There is plenty of seating on the front porch and in the yard. I would love to make this a regular stop when I come to the area. Do not miss out on this place!

Mrs. Jessica at Jet City is the best person in all of Tampa! The food is so delicious and every drink is great but we love the chai and the Borgia! What’s best is the community feeling created by Jess.

I had one of the best cups of coffee at this place! Definitely recommend the Cafe Borgia. Tried the loaded avocado toast and it was just as good.

What a charming coffee shop (and bed and breakfast). Run by a woman named Jessica, she creates a friendly, safe space. Inside a large house in Hyde Park, order one of their many coffee drinks and breakfast food and sit outside in the front yard or on their porch. If it's too muggy outside, eat inside where there's AC. I ordered their quiche, which changes every day, and a Cafe Con Leche (espresso with sweetened condensed milk). The quiche itself was large, but needed a bit more salt to draw out the flavors. The fresh fruit it came with was perfect. If you want a great start to your day, visit Jessica's cafe. It's worth a visit!

Basically, drinks here are so good I don’t drink coffee from anywhere else. Atmosphere is so comforting and the owner is a gem. Also, per the last review, I was there the same day and there were definitely signs on the door saying it was closing early and was also on social media that they were closing early…

Very cozy feeling (home turned bnb with a coffee shop) with great sandwiches (love the “Matt”), and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Definitely check this out if you are in the area.

Yelp
Jet City Espresso is such a unique and charming spot to grab a coffee. I decided to try an iced "Cafe Borgia" which is their signature drink. I wasn't expecting much, but wow the drink was amazing and the flavors definitely work well together. The owner of the coffee shop is very kind and it was nice to chat with her while she got my drinks ready. There is plenty of seating out in the front yard area, but we decided to walk around the area and enjoy our drinks. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Yelp
Jet City Espresso is a walk-up to-go shop located in a Hyde Park home! It's extremely cozy and they've been around for many, many years. Definitely one of the longest standing locally-owned coffee spots in Tampa, and worth trying for sure.

Yelp
This is the cutest hidden gem! The owner was so kind and their cold brew was delicious. The interior is order-only but there are plenty of cozy outdoor seating options! I will absolutely be coming back!

Yelp
This coffee house nestled in Hyde Park snd the barrista, Jessica, was very welcoming to us first timers. We ordered the cafe borgia and the coach and the tony sandwiches. The drinks were brewed and looked magnificent and you could taste all the flavors! The sandwiches were fresh snd included tomatoes, lettuce and onions. The ambiance is very laid back - in a house, but plenty of seats outside. We will definitely come back!

Yelp
We came to Jet City after a quick yoga practice near by and loved every moment of it. Atmosphere: The outside and inside of this old house was extremely comfortable and really did make us feel like we were sitting outside of our own. The inside is small but there's plenty of outdoor seating on the porch or in the front yard. Food: The food was delicious. We shared one of the omelettes. You could tell that only quality ingredients were used. Coffee: Coffee was absolutely delicious with lots of variety and flavor combinations that I wouldn't have thought of. Service: With a smile and food is brought out to you so you don't have to stand around waiting. I enjoyed talking to the owner and her son and hearing about her passions. 100% will be back!

Yelp
Jessi was absolutely lovely, with a charming to-go coffee and food spot inside of a home. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the coffee was, and she was very considerate to keep all of the milk frothers clean and separated. I got a breakfast sandwich that was very tasty - loved the garlic aioli. Jessi was talkative, inviting, and learned our names as well. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop in Tampa. The owner is always very welcoming. A great place for breakfast and to catch up with friends.

Yelp
I went to visit Tampa over the holidays and truly feel like I found a hidden gem! I have a love for businesses operating out of a house type building. Jet City Espresso was in a cute neighborhood and had such a wonderful outdoor setup that we sat and read outside for hours. I was thankful that it was open on Xmas even and when we got there, we chatted with the owner quite a bit. I love local business owners who are so passionate about what they do. The food we got was delicious - both of us got the sconewich with bacon. I'm not a big sweet for breakfast person so loved that the scone was savory and soft - I'd go back for just that! I also tried the special coffee with the honey and orange blossom. Not quite my usual flavor profile and I'd likely go for the ferrero rocher coffee next time if I'm feeling something sweet, but it was still great!

Yelp
If you're to do anything in your stay in Tampa, it needs to be this!!! Jessica is such a warm presence to start your morning! The coffee and food are wonderful and the indoor and outdoor seating is just as charming. Also, if you're looking for a place to stay Jessica has an AirBNB attached to the coffee shop! Love this place thanks Jessica for being so wonderful
google avatar

Yelp
Our first time finding this great shop. A bit hidden and well worth the adventure / walk to find. Both our latte and mocha were great, and we also had a delicious homemade scone. The owner Jessica is such a great host - welcoming and explaining everything to us "first timers"...she is a pleasure. We visit Tampa regularly, and look forward to our next stop here as well. If you've never been here - stop by on your first opportunity.

Yelp
If you're looking for great coffee with a great ambiance this is the place for you. When I first tried it out, I accidentally entered through the main house door and later found out that it's not only a cafe but also a Airbnb. It's a really cool concept, kinda like a bed n breakfast. The service is spectacular, everyone is very nice and accommodating. The coffee is also really good, I actually visited twice just for the coffee. However the second time I visited I also tried the food. I got the omelet with potato salad. The omelet was not bad and the potato salad was delicious but the dish only came with a little (the image shows how much), definitely would have liked some more. My only con is that the food is very overpriced for what it is. Next time I go I'm sticking to the coffee and CBD scones.
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Hidden gem coffee shop! It is connected to an Airbnb and looks more like a house than a restaurant which gives it a cool vibe. The staff were helpful and answered our questions about suggestions and substitutions and the food tasted really fresh. It was a bit pricey however for a coffee shop - two breakfast plates, two coffees and a scone were over $50. We also added some CBD to our scone and it was very potent but had a great feeling. I love the outdoor area as well it's really cute and perfect to enjoy a beautiful day!

Yelp
Great ambiance, great vibes and good coffee and food! The owner was lively to speak with. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and chatting with our yummy coffee and quiche- we will definitely be back

Yelp
Really lovely owner runs this espresso bar out of her house, she is so sweet and makes really excellent coffees. I'm not sure where she gets her espresso but it's the good stuff!

Yelp
Jet City Espresso is a hidden gem that stole my heart! The owners are super friendly, and the ambiance is just perfect. Their coffee is top-notch and breakfast is delicious--I'm absolutely obsessed!

Yelp
In town visiting from Vegas and my daughter looked up somewhere to get a good cup of coffee and we found Jet City nestled in a cute little house on a residential street!! We Immediately Jessica made us feel completely at home engaging in conversation as she did with EVERYONE she greeted they came in knowing most of them personally! The coffee was amazing the food even better!! She made us aware that the other part of the house is an Airbnb, if only we had known!! I HIGHLY recommend Jet City Espresso while visiting Tampa, you will NOT be disappointed!!

Becca S.

Yelp
We went here on our trip to Tampa this weekend and Jessica was so friendly! The drinks were delicious and she was so sweet! She makes so many of the products herself! We loved the laid back feel and the grounds to sit outside and drink our coffees! We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
google avatar

Yelp
I first fell in love with coffee because of the community of a coffee house and this place is exactly that. It's literally someone's house and, on my first visit, I felt like part of the family and a "regular". The quiche was fresh and delicious. The coffee was nicely balanced. I got the Pumpkin White Mocha and it was still coffee forward while being flavored (a win in my book). Sitting on the lawn in the middle of a neighborhood is the perfect way to spend a weekend. I can't wait to come back with a good book!

Hayley C.

Yelp
Very cute with lots of charm. Ordered a latte and breakfast sandwich. Mosquitoes can be pretty bad outside so wear bug spray

Cortney C.

Yelp
Jessica was awesome! Her coffee was unmatched and the atmosphere was so homey! Her food was made with love and I will be coming back often!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
This is the best pull of coffee east of Seattle. Hands down great beans, nice roast, perfect crema on your espresso. The fancy coffees are great and food fresh and flavorful. What a find!

Yelp
The hidden gem of a coffee house in Hyde Park. If you would like a place to go to relax, sit outside and meet the neighbors then jet city espresso is the place. outside either on the porch or front yard of a florida bungalow is true R&R. Pair it with terrific coffee and fabulous food makes it superb. Jessica the owner is very welcoming. Her coffee drinks from the signature cafe borga latte with nutmeg, orange blossom and honey is sinfully delicious to the sandwiches like the coach with thin sliced turkey, gouda, garlic aioli on cibatta is insanely scrumptious. This is my favorite place and go to place especially when i have out of town visitors.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to chill and enjoy a great cup of latte. If you are looking for high quality coffee, great salads and scones in a cool setting, this place IS the place. It's defining one of my fav places to chill around Tampa. I live pretty far, but when I am in S. Tampa I like to stop and grab my latte with orange peel and honey( try it and you will be hooked) it's called Borgia...I have been enjoying it for years now. The setting is a private house with few chairs indoor and also outside. Great vibes, super nice owner ( Jess) Who sometimes plays the guitar... What's not to like I ask?! Note that it's only open few hours each day. Plenty of parking on the street. Oh and if you come by say hi to Jess from me :)

Stacey C.

Yelp
Literally stumbled across this diamond after our walk along Bay Shore Blvd. Friendly staff, quick service and delish coffee. Lovely front shaded yard to enjoy a lite breakfast and cafe...

Kat K.

Yelp
This spot is walking distance to my house, it feels so homey and I love supporting local businesses. Yummy coffee!

Yelp
This place was so cute and homey. The owners made sure to learn your name and make you feel like family. I got the fresh quiche and their special coffee that had orange in it. Both were fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Lovely cute lunch date spot! Got the Tony with Bacon Sandwich and Chai Tea Ice. Loved both. Definitely recommend and coming back for pastries and the rice crispy treats.

Yelp
Sits within a a sweet neighborhood this cafe is in a house with seating on the porch and outside. Employees and owner were so friendly and helpful to make a decision!

Yelp
Great experience! Very very friendly service, had customers coming in and out quick/efficiently, and the amount of seating wound up perfect. Beautiful yard and couches to sit at. Lovely experience and will be coming back soon :)

Yelp
I had this place saved in my Yelp collections based on other reviews. I finally got to try it and WHOA! Before I even dive into the coffee and the food, let me just say that Jessica (the owner) is so friendly and welcoming. You can tell that she truly enjoys running this place and takes so much pride in it (as she should!). Okay, drink time. I ordered the signature Cafe Borgia. YUM! It is a latte with sweet and smooth hints of honey, orange blossom, and nutmeg. Everyone needs to try this at least once. There are plenty of milk options too. From what I recall, she had organic milk, oat milk, soy milk, and almond milk. My boyfriend and I were in the mood to split some food so we chose "The Coach" sandwich. The first words out of his mouth were "ohhhhh this is life changing" with his eyes closed. The first words out of my mouth were "what kind of delicious sorcery is this?" Y'all.. these flavors and textures are INCREDIBLE! The turkey is so thin and melts with the gouda into a deliciously smoky combo. The garlic aioli (yep, GARLIC AIOLI!) on the toasted ciabatta.. *chef's kiss*! I love that it was served with a side of fresh fruit and a little spinach, tomato, onion salad (that you could easily put on top of the sammy for some extra nutrients) with a cup of potato salad. There is plenty of street parking. The shop itself is in a house. Walk up the steps and use the door on the left. There is some inside seating but the porch and outdoor seating provides such a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. I can't wait for the weather to cool off a little bit so I can grab a coffee, another one of those sandwiches(!) and relax with a good book.

Yelp
Jess the owner is passionate about her business and her customers! The cafe Borgia is hands down the local favorite coffee creation and her gf scones are amazing

Yelp
Wonderful local coffee shop in Hyde Park that has excellent coffee and top notch customer service. My wife and I have read the Yelp reviews and been looking to try this place for quite some time. We were able to get over to Hyde Park and finally give Jet City Espresso a try. My wife ordered the Cafe Borgia and I had the Milky Way. Both drinks were delicious, but my wife chose the better of the two drinks (IMHO). The owner was super friendly and made great conversation. We enjoyed our coffee and chatted with her for a little bit while ringing up. We ordered paleo scones as well, which were equally delicious. Parking: street parking. Not an issue. Outside: beautiful home converted to coffee shop. Inside: cozy with original artwork from a local artist. Go to Jet City for their coffee and stay for the conversation/customer service!

Alle M.

Yelp
Amazing owner, always makes you feel welcomed and recommends food/drinks! One of my favorites spots to get coffee and study/work with their outdoor seating.

Yelp
This is a lovely little coffee shop that is run out of a charming B&B. It's easy to miss, so keep searching if it shows up in your list of bookmarked coffee places. Look for a red and green neon sign on a beautiful house. Their signature drink, the Cafe Borgia, espresso, honey, orange, and whipped cream, is a delicious splurge.

Yelp
Had a couple of hours in this area before a flight and had a delicious meal with these lovely women working in a cool cafe garden house. Definitely would recommend!

Yelp
Worth the walk, bike ride or drive!!! Jet City Expresso is unlike ANY place in Tampa Bay. Not your typical, crowded coffee spot. It's peaceful and you don't have to endure crowds. The owner is authentic and very personable. Walk past the picket fence and forget any worries. Spacious outdoor seating; sit on the porch of this adorable bungalow or choose a spot on the shaded lawn. A quaint interior that out produces in the quality of any industrial kitchen. The coffee recommended was SCRUMPTIOUS (if the owner reads this, please reply with the coffee name:). The breakfast sandwich, THE COACH, was DELICIOUS and incomparable to breakfast sandwiches from competitors. Take a look at the photo I took! Prices are reasonable. Quality is five star. Oh, check out the hand made candles and soap! Visit Jet City Expresso and you will no doubt have a new favorite.

Yelp
Super jet-lagged and in desperate need of some REALLY GOOD COFFEE!...Yelp to the rescue! Jet City Espresso was pretty close to where I'm staying in Hyde Park, and I rarely (if ever) go to a chain coffee house, so this looked perfect. The description from other reviews said it is in a house, and it sure is! Waze brought me into the adjacent Bank but it is just around the corner and adjacent to the Bank. CAUTION-- do not park in the Bank parking lot, rather park on the street out front of Jet City Espresso. It was smoking hot outside and I decided to go with a big Milky Way Latte on ice. Super delicious and the espresso really shines through. Perfect! The owner was so nice and treated me like an old friend who walked in the door after not seeing you in a long time. What a gem of a place!

Deric P.

Yelp
Talk about your authentic, local experiences, definitely stop by Jet City if you're nearby! It's located in a residential neighborhood and the "shop" is just up the front steps and to the left- where a dining room may have once been located. Fantastic coffee options and homemade breakfast items including made to order organic eggs, Quiche and fresh baked scones & muffins. Super friendly "staff" which on my visit was a mother/son combo. Couple tables inside, or enjoy seating on the front porch or lovely outdoor seating under the sun umbrella.

Yelp
I've been to and loved so many coffee houses in many parts of the country (and now I can say even Europe) but Jet City is by far one of the most unique places I've ever been to. Nestled in the center of Hyde Park in a residential home, it captures the character and spirit distinctive of Tampa. The. food and drinks are all home made and made with love. I've had the pleasure if trying the scones, but my personal favorite is definitely the quiches. What sets these apart is the soft, silky filling and tender crust that is really only matched by what I had in France. She has different flavors to choose from, but you really cant go wrong with any. I've been getting the spinach feta and I had portobello and bacon to it for extra charge. I'm rather impressed with how much spinach I get in there so its no know I'm getting a great heap of fresh veggies in for the day. For an even healthier touch, she also added grapes and an orange slice. As for the coffee, I go with her signature drink, the Cafe Borgia which is a very unique tasting concoction of Floruda's treaures: honey and orange. I never would have thought orange would work for a coffee drink, but believe me...it does. The sweetness of the honey compliments the tangy orange that makes this drink perfect. Its adorned with whipped cream (if you're feeling up to it) and orange zest. I look forward to thus yummy brunch meal even though I gotta wake up early for it, but its worth it.

Yelp
Such a cozy little coffee shop. Everything about this place feels natural. It is a perfect example of a business that has personality, heart and soul. The owner makes the coffee, the walls are covered in hand picked tchotchkes. The coffee is great. The vibe is nice. My recommendation: Sit outside and enjoy your drink on the patio.

Yelp
Stopped by on the way home fr a drs appt. Such a super cute street where curbside parking was abundant. Tucked in beside a toni lil preschool was a very cute house. There were a few small tables but mostly a counter for ordering and eating in the very shady front area. The owner was super friendly as was what seemed to be her friend that was sitting at a nearby table chatting w her. Lots of unique flavor profiles. I chose one of the specialty hot lattes with lavender and honey and it was very good. I was in a hurry or I would have sat down for one of their hot egg toasts or other specialties. I will return when I visit again and try some food. I did have one of their sconces to-go and it was very good: petit buttery and crunchy, like a proper sconce. She said she baked them herself as were most of the products. It's nice to be able to support these small local businesses. The more I do the more I want to seek them out!! These days service and food at nationally owned places is pretty abysmal. I'm ready to remember back when and support such personal establishments!!

Leese M.

Yelp
Great place for ice coffee and some pastries on a hot day. The staff are super nice. We love the iced drinks.

Yelp
Jet City is an all time favorite place of mine in Tampa. It's tucked away on a small street but trust me- just go. Jessica, the owner, is often there to greet you with the warmest and happiest hello. If she's not, another barista will be just as happy to see you and I love that. The drinks are so wonderful. I've had a couple of the quiches.. also wonderful. If you want to truly support local, if you want to support someone who truly loves what she does, visit Jet City. But one thing you need to be prepared for.. BE PREPARED TO SMILE.

Yelp
Small coffee shop in someone's home. Took me a bit to find the place. And then a couple that got their before me said the door was locked, so I almost didn't go in. But I thought I would try the door myself and it opened. The couple came back when they saw me get in, but then didn't want to wait for me to order so they left. (The person at the register must have been watching the couple try to open the door, and us walking around the house looking for a way in, but didn't say anything.. lol. Kind of awkward. I think if I were him, I would have walked around and opened the door.) Anyway got 2 Cafe Borgias. One 16oz with almond milk and one 12oz with nonfat milk, easy whip. I had the 12oz. Okay flavor. Not as sweet as some cafe borgias and not as tart as others. Everything was just a hint. A hint of sweet honey and a hint of orange peel. It was nice and soft for the morning coffee. I did like that used fresh honey and orange peel. Had a clean taste. I definitely recommend the Brogia here for people that haven't tried it before as theirs is a nice subtle version of the drink.

Tia M.

Yelp
Every time we go, the service is super super friendly, and the coffee is always delicious. If you're getting coffee, hot or iced, it doesn't matter, you must get the whip cream. It is homemade and so good! Every coffee shop is going to be a little pricey, so if you're going to spend money, this is the place to be in Hyde park!
google avatar

Shilow S.

Yelp
We visited this coffee shop for the first time today, despite living here for the past 3+ years I'd never heard of it. Happy to say we will most definitely be back! Jessica was SO genuine, friendly and welcoming. The specialty coffee she recommended was delicious and my daughters' hot chocolate was "perfection" (her words not mine). The sense of community and inviting environment is unlike most coffee shops today. Thank you for a wonderful experience for my daughter and I

Yelp
Seriously one of the coolest places I've found. Coffee and food is amazing and such good vibes. The owner is the sweetest thing too! She makes you feel at home
