Nature and Parks in Philadelphia

"Along with the Liberty Bell and Rocky steps, the bright red LOVE sculpture is one of Philly’s most iconic images. LOVE Park is officially named JFK Plaza, but no one calls it that. The plaza sits at the front of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, which leads to the Museum of Art. LOVE Park, with its famous sculpture and fountain, is a popular place for anyone to sit and hang out in the heart of Center City." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Great place to take the kiddos on a hot day if you aren't looking to spend money... The fountains will keep them cool and the large Lego blocks and other play things will keep them entertained. Pack snacks or a lunch or buy it down there ...plenty of options within the area. Dunkin' Donuts is right across the street.

Nestled in the heart of this vibrant city, this tranquil oasis offers a stunning escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Regardless of the season—whether the warmth of summer, the chill of winter, or the blossoming beauty of spring—this destination captivates with its lush greenery, inviting pathways, and serene atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to unwind, reflect, or simply enjoy the surrounding beauty.

Early March may not be the best time of year to visit to sit outside, but it still has cool views and photo ops. Loved the view down to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. And you're in the shadow of City Hall. Of course, you have to take a pic with the iconic LOVE sign. Fun stop!

I love LOVE Park. It's a perfectly designed park. Every type of person in the city, or those the city draws, can feel comfortable in their own bubble and activity in that park. It's spacious, has lots of seating options, and offers great views. And, I think making the LOVE statue the focal point was brilliant.

Definitely always a line to get a pic under the LOVE but the park was beautifully landscaped and right in the heart of all nice things (shopping, restaurants, etc ). They have a fair on the weekends wit a roller skating rink in it too LOADS OF FUN!

Been to Philly plenty of times over the years. Never seen the new LOVE site. We met Ranger Bob! Big gentle Giant! Super helpful amd even took our pictures 😝 It was a line but it moved quickly. They have food vendors around pizza, hit dogs, ice cream. Also, have tables it you want to sit by the fountain and enjoy the scenery.

It was really nice! A passerby saw us taking pictures of each other and kindly offered to take a photo for us. This small act of kindness made my impression of Philadelphia even better!
