Jian Bo Shui Kueh

Comfort food that is great for sharing with options for larger sized orders. The shui kueh / chwee kueh and chee cheong fun were both nicely prepared and served with a fragrant sambal chili that has dried shrimp in it, elevating each bite with added umami and a mild heat. The cai poh topping for the shui kueh was generous, crunchy, and full of flavour - making it perfect with the firm, jiggly steamed rice cakes. The sauce for the chee cheong fun seeps into the flat rice flour rolls nicely and is not too sweet. A variety of boxes kuehs and rice dumplings are also available at this stall.

TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. The chwee kueh may not be the softest and the chai poh may not the most flavourful ones but it is still comforting to have them in the morning. However, service is horrendous. We clarified the order when paying as the cashier lady mentioned it is chwee kueh/siewmai set which is not wat we ordered and the staff who prep the food started to talk to us in a CONFRONTING manner n tell us we ordered wrongly. We told the cashier tt its fine, we will take the set n pay as we do not wan the inconveniences for both. The cashier was nice enough to offer to remove the siew mai tt we did not order and i again told her tt its ok.The staff who prep the food continue to make comments tt we have took the wrong order and blaming us with very aggressive manner. I was not expecting services here at a hawker centre but i do not think this is even the right attitude to do the business.

Shocked at the Ba Zhang price. The $6.50 was strategically small to see at first. Taste average , more fatty portion than lean. One mushroom n one chestnut. Never felt so ripped off by this type of food.

WFH mornings call for some comfort food as breakfast, and I got mine in the form of my all-time favourite from @jianboshuikueh! This classic 𝗖𝗵𝘄𝗲𝗲 𝗞𝘂𝗲𝗵(水粿) needs little to no introduction. When Bb first tried it at Tiong Bahru, I thought the cai poh was too greasy for my liking (to be fair, it was that one time a couple of years back) but the one at Jurong West 505 Food Centre seems to do it a lot better! If anything, the one thing that hasn't changed since is that Bb still loves the QQ and firm texture of the kuehs. I think still not bad overall. Living overseas and always come for this ccf and chwee kueh everytime im back. Yes abit pricey but comforting taste.

I once encountered the nasty, attitude auntie from this stall. Avoid if you don't want anybody to spoil your day.

Not bad but I still prefer the chwee kueh stall in Blk 448 Clementi Market and Food Centre (Bedok Chwee Kueh).

A nice entry to chwee kuehs for those who haven't tasted it yet. The chee cheong fun is a bit different from the usual, but still good.
