Jiffy Burger

We had a late lunch and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and checked on us throughout the meal. My husband had a BLT and I had a grilled cheese with coated fries. It was all delicious. We're just visiting Manchester, but if I lived locally, I would eat there often.

What a classic joint! Our waitress may have been one of the genuinely nicest people I've ever met in my entire life!, on top of that, she was phenomenal at her job. I typically don't like places like these because they don't offer any vegetarian friendly options. However, i looked past that, my kids were in the mood for a burger. If you are looking to RV in area, Old Stone Fort Park is just down the street, and it's a serene, beautiful stay! Although the side of onion rings was fairly small, they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft/tender on inside. The kids had a plain burger which they enjoyed very much. I tried the fried cod sandwich, which was very large and filling. It was a nice and nostalgic stop, the food and service were great to boot! Definitely recommend a stop if passing through area.

The grilled bacon cheese burgers are so delicious! There are 2 different fries and tots to choose from also. Definitely check this one out. The kids really enjoyed there food too.. you know its good when theres not alot of chatter because everyone is just eating! The atmosphere is nice too, lots of cool signs and decor. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive! We will be back, thank you for the great experience!

This restaurant is awesome and the food is always delicious. Every time we are in Manchester TN this is our favorite place to eat at. The service and staff is the best.

A coworker and I went to have a burger after work Wednesday. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and asked to have a seat anywhere. Service was fast, food was fantastic and we had a great time. Very cozy and delicious.

Food was great,Service was great. Wasn't a big issue but I had no idea they were cash or check only.

****PEANUT OIL BASED RESTAURANT****** I let's start here. Their patties are quarter pound patties, even though they call the sandwich *cheeseburger, double cheeseburger* Very reasonable prices Outside of that, I don't think much needs said for anyone in the area. Try their batter dipped fries They don't let their food sit out, everything is made to order. Pulling up to an old fashion brick kiosk, and not having to wait in line, is always a boon. Only negative, it's parking is a bit wonky for dine-in. Not to much in terms of easy access parking.

We live near this place and for the longest wanted to try it as it's always got cars filling it up. This is the second time eating here and food is consistent which is a good thing. Their cheeseburgers are a decent size and comes with mayo , tomato, lettuce pickles. Fries don't come with it but can be ordered separately. The wife had a BLT which she enjoyed. I only order one burger from here as first time got 2 and couldn't make a dent into the second one. Prices are decent and dining area is filled with memorabilia and a Betty Boop. They also do car side. Car hop makes a come back !. They have a a lot on the menu to choose from. Worth a try if in the Manchester area . Wait staff is very friendly and orders get filled daily quickly.

It's an old-school Sonic. Given that, the cheeseburgers and "batter-dipped" fries were delicious. Tomato, onions, and pickles were cold, so it did not feel heat-lamped. Timely, courteous service.

The best burger you'll ever have in middle Tennessee that's for sure. I always bring cash from Manchester just to get my food here. The wait can be up to 45 minutes when it's super busy and I would wait for it ten times over just to have my burger melt! They started to be closed on Monday so unfortunately the one time I was in town this year I had to go next door to Hardee's. Hopefully next year they will be open Monday again, if not I will just come earlier on a Saturday. Best fries and burgers in middle TN

Best burger and service in the area. Simply put if you are in Manchester you go to Jiffy Burger and have a meal.

Stop here! This place is so cute, the vibe takes you back in time! Burger, fries and onion rings were delicious! Service was excellent! You seat yourself and pay when you leave but our server was so nice! Glad we happened along this place!

Best grill cheese burger I ever had. At first it looked super skeptical because it was giving like 1940's Jim Crow vibes. Like the black people should go around back to get their food. I didn't go in - I sent my fiancé in. Plus I was half sleep. Unfortunately there are places that do exist where they aren't inviting of brown skin. He said it was "historic" in there . So yeah... However, nonetheless the burger was very tasty! I'll go back just Togo though.

I loved this place!!!! It's super busy. We were so fortunate to get a table. The cheeseburger is awesome! Sooooo good. The fries are crinkle. My absolute fave. The tea was ok. My tea wasn't sweet enough. But it won't keep me from going back.

Home town old fashioned burger place. Tried the Bonaroo burger, outstanding and had an egg on it. Very friendly waitresses always great you with hun or sweetheart.

First time visiting anywhere other than the west coast of America, and the Bonnaroo burger from Jiffy Burger was the first meal we had in the state. Needless to say, the burger was delicious, the ambiance of the place was quite special, and the service was so great. Shoutout to the cashier who offered to take a photo of me and my friend outside of your beautiful restaurant. Glad i stopped in before Bonnaroo!

We just moved to the area and noticed this very busy burger place near us. Liking non-franchise fast food we stopped in. Huge menu! The burgers were absolutely delicious and so were their onion rings. This is our new go to for amazing burgers!

I've only been a couple times but wow! Yummy food. I don't recommend the grilled chicken salad, but the rest, worth it. The service was good. The ambiance has a lot to look at. You'll notice new things every time you go.

Great food all the time. I like the breakfasts and the burgers both. They never stop behind the grill or serving customers. It's small town at its finest. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this place. The food was great and they had a good selection of different things on their menu for it being an old diner type of place. They only take cash but they have an ATM inside their restaurant so that's not an excuse for anyone! I got the double bacon cheeseburger with the batter dipped fries. It was all great! I can't wait to eat here again next time I'm in the area. I didn't take a picture of my food because I was so hungry I ate it all before I could.

Great menu selections and great food!! Not as roomy as it appears on the outside, but a cozy place to enjoy food with your favorite people.

Best joint in town. Sometimes hard to find a seat, but worth the wait. Can't beat their food, great burgers, tots, and baked potatoes. Enjoy the collection of times pas decorating the restaurant. Waitresses are awesome.

I love this place! We've never had bad food or service! It don't look like much from the outside but the food is amazing, the best place to get a hamburger steak or hamburger around, go and try it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed and you won't leave hungry!

A local diner with a sonic like drive up option too. Be warned that it's cash only and doesn't accept credit cards. The workers here have the southern hospitality and you can tell it's homemade food at reasonable prices. Very nice lunch spot after hiking at Old Stone Fort Archaeological Park. I don't know if it's nostalgia but the tater tots were my favorite part of my meal. My double burger with everything was well cooked and well built but I needed more seasoning in the beef patties. However I definitely recommend this diner.

Dive alert!! This is the kinda place you see on Triple D -- Guy Fieri where ya at?! This place is iconic in Manchester, TN. If you're in the area for any reason go check it out! Bring cash, but not a lot because it's super cheap compared to most places in 2020. Today two of us are Bonnaroo burgers (loaded burger with bacon, fried egg, an onion ring and all the fixins) with a small order of onion rings and a small order of batter dipped fries with a sweet tea for $18 bucks! Can you say wow?!? Also check out all the super cool memorabilia and decor inside!

Fantastic food! Great service inside or at the drive-in at back of restaurant. Never had a bad meal there ever! Wonderful breakfasts, great meals and burgers, the biggest baked potato I've ever seen! You can't go wrong there! It's cash only, but there's an ATM inside. Love the decor, all retro back to the 50's and 60's! Very reasonably priced.

Definitely not "jiffy" ordered at the drive up window outside and it took over an hour to get our food. We were actually pulling away when she walked out. The grease soaked through the paper bag and made a hole. Our burgers had so much onion on them, that's all you could taste.

An old diner with tons of character in every nook and cranny! Vintage memorabilia everywhere! Fun place to go, take your family, and enjoy a taste of yesteryear! Beware, on a Saturday evening the whole town seems to show up. We got the last booth! Ordered quickly and got our drinks! We proceeded to wait an hour for two burgers and onion rings. We hope this is not the norm! Be sure to bring cash! But there is an ATM located inside. When the food arrived, it was steaming hot. Best grilled cheeseburger and onion rings ever.

Best cheeseburger!! Ordered the double cheeseburger, tater tots, and a Pepsi. Great service and a fun little joint. Looks like plenty of spaces for drive up service as well. A must visit in Manchester!

My husband and I love this burger place! And I am pregnant now so what I say take with a grain of salt. I wish the menu was more defined. What is on the bonaroo burger?? For some reason I thought. The chicken tenderloin was fried chicken tenders....they were also very salty but grilled flavor throughout, my husband didn't taste to much salt. Again I'm pregnant so....their ranch dressing is REAL RANCH DRESSING!!!!! No twang no this was not previously In a bottle on the Walmart shelf half price!!!! This is homemade ranch

I've lived in Franklin Co. all my life and never heard of this place till a month ago. I feel cheated that this amazing diner was off my radar. The burger and fries are 2nd to none! The staff always has a smile and the ambiance is straight outta my childhood. U will kick yourself if u miss this place!

If you are prepared for a crowded interior and being able to hear what people are saying at every surrounding table, you are in for a treat. It has an old-fashioned, comfortable feeling. Toy vehicles on the shelves, little league pictures on the wall and old signs all help give Jiffy's a nostalgic feel. Sometimes it will be crowded and a small wait might be in order. I got lucky and found a table that had just vacated when I arrived. The #1 Burger is 12oz (uncooked weight) and was still a slab on a large bun when it was done. The bacon was crispy and there was plenty of it. I got the Bacon Burger along with a small order of crispy tater tots and it was more than enough. Keep the napkin dispenser close at hand; you will need it because the burger is a mess. I cut mine in half to get a handle on it as I didn't want to lose it onto my lap. Frequent visits from the waitress kept my drink full. I will definitely return as there are other items I saw that looked tasty. Don't forget that this is a cash-only establishment.

Staying at a hotel and city we have never been. The staff suggested Jiffy Burger. So glad we listened. You can in inside or drive in. The waitress was so friendly and excellent service. She recommended the pulled pork plate. OMG, this was sooo good. The portion was huge. There were enough tater tots to feed a family. This definitely a must stop in and eat. Just off the highway.

Taste better than home made better then the fast food joints like McDonald's or Wendy's or hardies

Jiffy's has been in business for more than 50 years at the corner of Hillsboro Road and Jackson Street. It's been featured on multiple shows but it was my first time to visit. What a cool experience. The restaurant is like a time capsule with the decor featuring antiques and more baseball team photo plaques than I could count. The staff was super nice and service was quick. The bacon cheeseburger and tater tots were perfect. Watching the staff at the galley kitchen, and you can still get a glimpse of what local restaurants looked like before chain fast food restaurants dominated. I'd highly recommend a visit here and make a day trip to Manchester.

This place is an landmark in Manchester, the same family has ran it over 50 years. Great burgers, fries, but if you stop in at lunch be prepared to wait for a bit, it's so good you'll likely not have a seat. Definitely order you burger with batter dipped fries!

Great little place not too far off the interstate if you are traveling to or from Nashville. We had cheeseburgers with seasoned fries and slaw. All were delicious. Feels like a step back in time with all the newspaper articles and title league photos on the walls. Service was also good. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Everything we have tried from here has always been excellent! Big plates for the price. Love the nostalgia! I recommend the burgers, seasoned fries, the chicken tender plate with salad (I turn mine into a chicken salad) and the potatoes (they are huge)!

On a trip from Indiana to Florida, we stopped at Food Lion to get the exclusive Mt. Dew flavor. A young man recommended Jiffy Burger across the street. We were not disappointed. Fellow patrons who noticed by the way we were acting, that we hadn't been there before were very friendly, answered questions & made recommendations...as did our server. Will definitely consider detouring to eat here on future trips.​​​​​​​​​​

We used the drive in and waited patiently for 40 minutes. I pushed the putt on and told the employee we had been waiting 40 minutes and was our food on the way? If not we were leaving. Her reply: it you're in THAT big of a hurry...just leave! Wow. What a joke. Jiffy is the LAST name that should be associated with their service!

I had the #1, 3 patty cheeseburger, with fried onions and mayo along with a side of onion rings. My wife had the grilled bacon cheeseburger with fried onions (think patty melt) with a side of onion rings as well. The burger was good, albeit a little too on the well done side for my liking. My wife enjoyed her burger as well The highlight was the onion rings. Although, they were not homemade, the were very good. Extra crunchy! Our waitress was friendly and was not afraid to share her opinion. There were a lot of locals known by name which added to the experience.

Just passing through Manchester & relied on Yelp review to visit this awesome burger joint! It was like we stepped back into the 50's! The Bonnaroo burger was a winner! Loved the tots! So much food at a reasonable price; great, friendly service! It's the original sonic with a drive thru but with class & charm!

The word bland occurs to me. Great atmosphere, but everything tastes as of it were boiled.
