Don't get me wrong, the food is great, but that's about as far as the positives go. I have had food from here 30+ times, and the past 10 times I have been in, they have gotten literally every piece of the order wrong. Not to mention the coffee tasting burnt on a regular basis.
The service is honestly not great either, as when I called in an order, they said that they would put aside two pastries, but when I went in to grab my food and pay, the person at the counter said that they had accidentally sold out already. I get if that happens once or twice, miscommunications are inevitable. However, this specific thing has happened on multiple occasions.
Lastly and most common for me, is the sandwiches. The quality is pretty good, and its the sole reason I've come back after having my order wrong so many times. The one downside about the sandwiches is that this is the part they mess up every single time. I order a #3 straight off the menu with sausage on a biscuit, and I get bacon on a bagel. Ordering in groups is no easier, as I went in this morning and they messed up 4/4 sandwiches.
I have personally worked in food service, and from experience I can say that it's really not hard to get at least one item correct, especially if it's straight off the menu and unaltered. From an outside perspective, I'm not sure where the fault is in the Jim and Patty's system, whether it be managerial or general employee based, but there certainly is a critical error that needs to be addressed.
Overall, if you're looking for a great and reliable breakfast place, this might not be the best option for you. Might as well just ask the front counter to surprise you with a random order. That's what you'll get anyways. Pretty good food though, as long as you're okay with getting something that you didn't order.
