Best tacos EVER!!! Service is always great. Price is reasonable. I'd give it all 5 stars, but I've never been inside the building. Only drive through.

Food is good. Service is so'so. Online order: I ordered 8 salsas and 4 jalapeños for the order. It was a large order for a group, about 80$ worth and only got 3 salsas and 1 jalepeno. There were people standing in the drive thru begging for money. This location has their dining closed, I'm assuming because of all the homeless in the parking lot.

I actually stopped for the legendary beef tacos & as always, the food and service were 5 star but this particular location has some amazing graffiti art on a neighboring wall so I stopped and snapped a few pics for those who are not used to seeing graffiti on walls it's not all unsightly scribbling it is an art and one of the four elements of Hip Hop

The food is ok. The burgers taste like burgers that you can make at home so I probably won't buy them again. The tacos are what this place is known for. I ordered the 6 pack. They taste ok. The beef is decent. The hot sauce isn't very good. It has a burnt flavor. The tacos are unique but I'll stick to places like Tacos Exxpress or La Favorita or Aldalbertos.

I have been eating 3 chicken tacos with the works and Dr Pepper since 1998 from various Jimboys around Sacramento. They changed the chicken from shredded to grilled. Took a minute to get use to it. I love Jimboys chicken tacos. They never get old. The beef taco's on the other hand, which I had only twice to make sure. Are greesy, and don't sit well. Frutridge & Franklin Jimboy's is my go to Jimboys living in the south area since 1969.

Jimboy's has been a staple in the greater Sacramento area since the mid 60's which is centrally located on Stockton Blvd, between Colonial Park, and Lawrence Park, across the street from Popeyes with plenty of parking, drive thru window and indoor dining, the food is outstanding considering it's a fastfood, with reasonable prices and a large selection of combination plates five Stars 🤩 hands down

Drive through is always pretty fast.They have never messed up an order!

Wish I could give negative stars! I got home to eat my tacos and when I got to the second to the last one I found a lead in the food!!! See picture! To top it all off when I went back to complain, they reluctantly offered to make me another taco! Nevermind offering to refund the money of the meal they ruined. When I asked for my money back I was told they would only refund what I had brought back. Trust me I wish I could un-eat the leafy food, actually I wish they didn't use yard waste in my food but maybe I'm being to picky🤔

Whenever we're back in CA to visit family, "we've gotta get some Jimboys!" says the boyfriend haha! This is one of his favorite spots and I don't mind, because the tacos are SO GOOOOD! He lives for the beef tacos, but I love them all! Hits the spot and it's a nice taco break before we get back on the road for another 9 hour drive lol. Stop by, grab a few tacos and boom! You're good to go!

I have been coming to the location all my life. I have noticed it going down hill for some time now. The last 2 time I have come here to order a Taco Salad with ground beef, they have fell short on a simple order. The first time was no lettuce or beans, all beef. This time no beef but plenty of beans and lettuce. My God! I am sorry to say, I will not be patronizing this location ever again. Fingers crossed other locations don't have the same problems.

I was there today. I placed an order for 2 - 2 ground beef taco combos, 2 bean and cheese burritos and 2 steak burritos. The food was pretty bad and over priced. Everything was dry. The burritos in particular were so small and barely had anything in them. I've been to other locations before and had never had any complaints.

I order Taco Salad but not really like it. they not giving the Spanish rice. The salad taste so plain. don't think will going back

Jimboys has unique tasty chicken tacos and french fries. The food is hot and fresh when ordered. Watch out because you might burn your mouth! The fries are the thick wedges which are seasoned. The crispy taco is covered with parmesan cheese filled with chicken, lettuce and cheese. They are so delicious.

We all have short hair, my daughter was eating her beef taco when she noticed the hair INSIDE the taco. I immediately lost my appetite. Absolutely disgusting! EVERYONE should wear a hairnet!

Got 2 super ground beef tacos, the day I went they were $2. One can fill you up it's very hearty. The taco comes w/melted cheese & parmesan on top, lettuce, tomato, beans & guacamole.. Nice dining seating w/tv to watch. Employees were friendly and service was quick. NOTE: They don't honor coupons or free taco when you sign up on their app..

Can this location provide a accurate closing time for the public, this location blocked off the drive thru and only has the walk in access, the posted closing time is established at 10:00pm, walked to the around 9:15pm, door locked and staff acknowledged the location is closed on a weekend night.......beware food shoppers of this location for the untimely closing.

I live around the corner from the Jim Boy's on Arden and Morse. We go there pretty regularly and today I had a really crappy experience. My sister gave me a $50 gift certificate for my bday. We decided to walk over and have lunch today. We ordered and I presented the gift certificate for payment. There was a man behind the counter, and he replied "Sorry, we don't take gift certificates here. We don't have a scanner. No idea if we will ever get a scanner. I don't make the rules and besides, we don't sell those here." WHAT? I do not understand 2 things: why was he so rude to me and why does Jim Boy's sell gift certificates if they won't honor them? BEWARE: Do not buy someone a gift certificate because the recipient will not actually be able to use it. And as for how rude the man was to me, that was 100% unnecessary.

4/2/2022 - It's Saturday evening and I am looking for somewhere to get something to eat. I am not from Sacramento but came to visit someone in Sutter Hospital. I ended up downtown before I knew it and drove around looking for street parking to no avail. That was good!!! I notice a lot of people out walking as well as the police presence and thought either something happened or was going to happen. Not informed that Sacramento (downtown) is this popular. Anyway, I am glad I followed my mind. That next morning I found out they had a mass shooting that killed 6 people and injured countless others. So glad I wasn't down there later. I found this Jim boy's purely by accident. I have gone to Jimboys before closer to Natomas, and that one had very good food. I don't know what street that was, but I will ask my friends. The tacos here were put together so sloppily and had very next to or no cheese in them. I ordered a combo-plate because I had not eaten all day and I was hungry. I also ordered four tacos, and an enchilada & taco. None of the tacos had any taste. I gave the combo plate to my son and he was not impressed!!! Almost $20.00 for nothing!!!! I will not be back!!!

I love jimboys but I think I need to start driving somewhere else besides this store because every time I go here the girl with the glasses is always rude and she sounds like she would rather be anywhere else but there they continuously get the order wrong and when I call to have them fix it no one every answers the phone my daughter did eat meat so she always gets a cheese enchilada combo or bean tacos and I make sure to speak clearly knowing the voice box tends to be staticky and every they either put chicken of beef and everytime I have to come back wait in the lobby or drive through depending on the time. It ridiculous how many times they have messed up on orders

Trash. This place used to be sooo good.... The quality of food has went down significantly. Save your money.

This place slaps. And the service is top notch. We had the steak asada burrito and some tacos with the finisher of crema filled churras. Muy sabroso!

Been a while since I've updated this establishments review. I am pleased to report that it continues to get five stars with me. I believe I said it last time that it is the best Jimboys I've been in in the area. Everything is just great and hopefully continues to remain so. Totally top-notch. Good food. Good service. And a nice clean restaurant.

My son says he will be giving your establishment a break, first you took out the shredded chicken for the burritos, now you don't serve the green salsa?? That green salsa made everything better. Sorry you're losing our service for now.

This location regularly closes before the times listed online. Someone in charge should definitely update the operating hours because closing earlier than advertised is a regular occurrence at this location. It's unfortunate that the staff fail to realize that being open until 10 means providing service until 10, if you need 30-45 minutes to close and cleanup the operating hours should reflect that. It would best policy and less upsetting to customers if closing was posted as 9pm which seems to be the case.

I have only eaten at Jimboy's twice in my life and I'm over 60 now.. stopped in today for the enchilada and taco plate and there was so much salt on that ground beef that I nearly puked... I'm sure it would have tasted good but all I could taste was salt and then the cheese was even saltier so I gave the food away because I don't believe in throwing food away.. I'm reminded of why I've only eaten here twice in my entire life but the people were really nice

Always amazing food when coming here . It's fast, they're delicious. The service is good.

I made an order at your menu at approximately 945. I sat in your line to get to the window for about 20 minutes. When I get to the window, I make an attempt to add to my order considering I could not add to my order due to how long I was in the line for. I was told no. I completely understand that it is cast your work time, however if I already made my order and the only reason I could not add to my order was because of your service, five minutes will not impact your evening to add 2 burritos. Do better.

Can't help it but I'll never not like Jimboys and when I get that crazy craving for a good greasy old time taco it must be Jimboys. Grew up on this place in Tahoe and here in Sacto. Pretty decent food.

This used to be my go to! Not anymore. food is not quality for the price they charge now. They say not enough staff to have dining open. Can't pay. If they would open it, enough customers coming back in will make enough to pay. Many times I have wiped down booth to sit in. The old building across the way was our youth go to. Right now I had ordered my usual food the usual way? Not difficult. When I got all the way home...I do not know or ever seen what kind of meat was in the shredded chicken enchilada. The beef and bean burrito grilled was burnt! I have never! And I could smell it driving. I paid for three additional tacos. They were not in the box! Never! So I called and took it all back! Pesos please! No more enchiladas! I'm happy the original store reopened and the other one out on Northgate, yes clear out the way, but no problem with order. Spanish or English.

Their food sucks.... I ordered their classic steak and onion burrito. It was anything but a burrito and it's criminal that they even classify it as one. Imagine a quesadilla with light cheese, steak and onions just rolled up, not completely filled up and not even wrapped like a normal burrito.... I ordered a large hortchata with it, that was the only thing that was good. It was like 12 bucks. They actually charge 8 bucks for the so called burrito alone. honestly, I've had a lot of burritos from a lot of different restaurants in various parts of California. This by far was one of the worst ones I ever had. The people behind the counter were nice but the food is simply not worth it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to eat. You'll be happier. Footnote: yeah I ate it because I was on lunch and had limited time. But if I had the time I would have went to a place that has better food. Just being real. This is the one at 5058 Stockton street. I can't speak for the other ones.

I have not been here in awhile because the young girl always get my order wrong which is very annoying. Today my daughter found hair in the beef taco. That is so disgusting!!! Definitely never going there again!

This location sucks when ordering through apps, like Postmates. Expect to have missing Tacos when ordering packs. I also loved having my enchilada plate missing, but having the tortilla still sent by itself.

Bad, nasty food. The tacos are greasy and flavorless. The midtown location is seedy and bad funky.

Ok ok, ok, Jimboy's changed their cheese and it's HORRIBLE. Made the taco tastes so gross. The new cheese won't melt. It tastes like wax. Completely changes the flavor of the taco, burritos. Everyone couldn't finish their food. And we orders extra cheese!! Paid for it, and didn't get it which I guess now, is a good thing. Sooooo disappointing.

Two stars only because I come ('came') here often and usually at some point, I leave with food. Sometimes it's what I ordered, sometimes it isn't. Every single time however, it takes FOREVER to get through the drive-thru no matter how many people are in front of you. I was literally the only person there one day and figured "Yes, today I will actually get out of here in under 10 minutes." NOPE, I promptly sat there at the window staring into the kitchen while they talked about who-knows-what. Today, I just had to make a review as this was just too dumbfounding to ignore. I ordered pretty much the same thing I get every time, which is really quite simple; Beef Nachos, no olives. Well, as expected there was quite a wait yet again but that's not at all the issue here. You see the nachos I ordered, which you can clearly see were indeed recorded as BEEF ended up - wait for it - with absolutely NO meat on them whatsoever. None. Zero. It's like a bar of Tofu's wet dream on my aforementioned previously anticipated nachos. How does a Mexican restaurant forget to put meat on nachos??? That's like an American Fast Food chain forgetting to slather cheese all over something... Come on.

Not at this time will I recommend this one on Stockton Blvd. I ordered a taco salad and steak burrito. What I got was not a taco salad that I have ever had,, all it was meat no bean, no rice. Instead of a taco I received a steak burrito it too had nothing in it but onions and steak. I will stay out until they are able to allow dine in.

They got roaches at this location. I wish I could of caught a picture but I was too busy spitting my food out and running away! ‍

I love jimboys we didn't have one in the bay so this was my spot whenever we would come to Sac... But the last time I was at this location I took my 2nd bite out of my taco and found a long piece of blonde hair I was so disgusted needless to say I will never be returning to this location.

I just received a "burrito" that turned out to be a barely intact tortilla surrounding what can only be described as a pile of wet garbage. It is amazing that the wretched thing survived long enough to be handed over to me. Got to go, I now need to clean my passenger seat.

Got an order for my wife and her grandmother. According to them, the food was great and enjoyed their tacos and beef burritos.

I REALLY miss the old shredded chicken they used to have.now it's some cubed flat top flavorless crap. I still love the shredded beef tacos, quesadillas, and burritos but their prices have literally more than doubled in the last 5 years. This location is surprisingly clean given it's whereabouts. Friendly staff but it's kinda hard to justify eating here nowadays.

Smashed food!!?! This is ridiculous!!!! Another thing is the drive-thru order machine is BROKEN FIX IT SO YOU CAN HEAR US!

They have a few items on their menu that I really like. As a vegetarian, I actually have options instead of the typical one or two choices. However, there's about a 50-50 chance of actually getting the correct order. I come here a lot less that I think I normally would because of that.

Been going here for years, tonight was my first disappointment. Chicken tacos were good as usual. We also ordered beef nachos and they were disgusting. Chewy, like they were sitting around a while, almost no cheese, and an over abundance of ground beef. That's it, no tomatoes, maybe a smear of beans. These aren't nachos. The flavor of the ground beef was really off. Too salty and just bad. So we made it to the churros, how could those be bad? My first concern was how heavy they felt, that's not right. They were nice and hot, so I bit in...to find a center of uncooked dough. Yuck! We brought the meal home, so it's not convenient to drive it back. I may give them one more chance, but man, they need to get it together before they poison someone.

Oh jimboys. I've been eating these tacos since I was in 6th grade! They're epic! It's the freshest ingredients the perfectly fried shell with the cheese on the outside of the taco! My mouth waters at the thought of jimboys. This taco house is one of the best. I wish they would branch out into other states. These are tacos I'm passionate about. I loved how there wrapped so they can breathe and the heat of the meat doesn't wilt the lettuce. All the staff is so sweet and polite and always eager to help you through the menu. Every time I go there packed. It's more than a fast food restaurant, its family. This is a place where nothing else matters but smiles and a good meal. I love jimboys tacos. The day I have kids is the day I'll share this taco joint with them !

New staff has been introduced and the customer service has plummeted! There is an increase of mistakes in order and HEAVEN FORBID you try and get those mistakes corrected without being treated like a criminal. One young woman in particular is simply the worst. She doesn't seem to understand simple directions and I was treated like a huge inconvenience even though I'm the one that had to drive back out to them. No empathy at all. Sucks because my family has been coming here for years. I've contacted management and I look forward to a call back so that we may resolve some issues that we have been having. Those guys need to sit down and have a meeting about customer service and owning up to mistakes... and better yet to take more care as to not make so many mistakes. So disappointing.

If you love Sacramento - you must love Jimboys! If you understand the magic of parmesan cheese sprinkled over a crispy taco - you must love Jimboys! If you know that truly great Mexican comes from hole-in-the-wall joints as opposed to nationwide franchises - you MUST love Jimboys! Seriously, truly delicious tacos. Crispy, greasy in the best way, filled with lettuce and cheese, and topped with a divine sprinkling of parmesan to give it a salty gourmet kick - this might just change the way you cook tacos at home forever. It did for my family - I grew up eating tacos this way thanks to my dad stealing their culinary tricks! It's just that good! The nachos and enchiladas are tasty here too, worthy of any small taqueria. But it truly is all about the tacos. If I type taco one more time, my keyboard will short circuit - cuz I'm making myself drool thinking about Jimboys tacos! *ZAP* There it goes, no more typing for me! Time to get a taco! See? They're so good, they make me crazy!

Along with my last review, the one cool thing I have to say is the bathroom takes these tiny little dime sized tokens and I've never seen that so it was kinda nifty‍

I once had a very traumatic experience. After moving down to SoCal, I had an intense craving for Jimboy's (this is not unusual). I hopped online to find the closest one- and found out they were only a LOCAL chain!! Oh the horror!! Needless to say, Jimboy's was always the first stop on the way back from the airport when I visited home. Now that I'm back in Sac, this is a meal a couple times a month (it'd be way more if I still had the metabolism of my undergrad years...) AWESOME tacos, there's nothing else like them! And the bean and cheese burrito is amazing....it's the most boring thing on any menu, but for some reason, it's soooo good here!

I was at Jimboy's Tacos on Stockton Blvd on Veterans Day and was treated to a delicious meal. They were very generous and I was really impressed. Thank you for supporting veterans! I'm heading back there today...

Tacos and refrained beans were alright. Salad had extra things I couldn't eat like avocado and tomato sauce, with no image or description of those. Plus a Hair in my rice made me not eat that either. Woman at the counter was impatient and unhelpful.

Best tacos in America. Period. It's the taco shell and the cheese and oil dusting that make the difference.

Went to this location & ordered my husband's meal & myself some French fries, got my food& left only to realize half way home they forgot my fries so we turned around went back to let them know, none of the food or even the drink had been touched yet, when I told them they forgot my fries they man at the window took my receipt & my bag of food looked through it & decided that had given me my fries because the girl in the back said she put them in my bag. The cook in the back said my bag " sure did smell like fries " so they refused to give me fries as they " turned off the fry machine " being as this was all I ordered myself I was very upset! Why would I waste my time & gas going back to the location to steal $2.00 fries ?? Very rude & unprofessional they have lost a loyal customer at that location I could not believe it. DO BETTER . and she probably smelled fries because SHE smelled like a fry after working back there all night, ever thought about that???? DON'T GO HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!

This Jimboy's location is pretty consistently good in their quality. Just about everything on the menu is good, although you're better off ordering one of the combos because the a la carte items add up pretty quickly. I don't really care for their enchilada sauce, which is unfortunate, but their shredded beef tacos are excellent.

i love jimboys but what happened to the taco sauce packets?????? that makes the taco but they replaced it with some generic "taco sauce" packets that are absolutely disgusting!

I have always loved this spot since my college days. Best tacos if you want fast food.
