Jimmy John's

The crew is way off today, super slow. I did an online order, I only had 30 minutes for lunch, dashed and out to pick it up. Nothing ready. Crew was very slow and lethargic, when I asked about my order, the only response I got is orders are first come first served. I ran at a time waiting, so I had to abandon my order and waste this trip and money to get back to work. Very disappointed with today’s visit, doubt I’ll be back to that store anytime soon.

Employee name T. White (red shirt) has the absolute best manners I have experienced with food service in a long time. She was super sweet with a kind yes ma’am attitude. I truly appreciated ordering with her and will return whenever in the area.

The staff are so nice and accommodating for food allergies! I’m allergic to avocados and they always wipe down the work station and change gloves before making my order. Obviously no one can prevent all cross contamination in a restaurant, but I truly appreciate their effort!

Went out of my way for this shop, but got told they were out of bread. I pointed to the giant pile of bread on the counter, but that was for catering and they wouldn't use it. Just don't bother. *EDIT* They replied with a broken feedback link. Seriously - don't bother.

Just a buyer beware this store now contracts out its delivery driving. When they had their own delivery team it was fast and efficient. Since they have switched to uber eats or door dash expect to wait an hour for delivey.

Does not deserve even one star. My son got food poisoning from here. I called manager to advise. I was told General Manager would call me back. They Never did! Apparently they didn’t want to know what food was bad.

Ordered a sandwich, could not track the order. Called he store and was told IT WAS ON ITS WAY. I got a text saying that uber driver was on its way to pick it up and my sandwich will arrive AN HOUR after the order. Called to cancel since I'm at work and cannot longer take a lunch. I get put on hold for 10 minutes and then get hung up on. Called again and they had already voided my order....

Service was ok but I wonder if the ppl who made my sandwich would appreciate getting the sandwich I got last night. Hardly any turkey and and brown lettuce. Kind of pathetic for almost ten dollars.

JJ's has been a staple go-to sandwich shop for many years. I was greeted with courteous hospitality and crisp, fastidious service. Price-point was to my liking as well. I do love myself some cheap eats y'all. (Big Smiles) Moderately clean store with a welcoming atmosphere and a decent assortment of seating. I ordered the #3 Totally Tuna sub combo, medium drink. This was my first time visiting this particular store as well as trying this particular sub, because I usually go for the Italian or Club w/bacon situation. So, I was not quite sure what to expect. I have to say, it was a decent Tuna sub. The only caveat being, I really hoped they would have salt & pepper packs on hand for customers like me who like to add a little extra 'flava flav' to their meal (well...maybe that's just me). All-in-all...it was a good place for quick and affordable eats.

Good food. Nowhere to wait for order. Crowded. Get yelled at by cashier 'THATS's NOT Yours!!' If you walk up to see if it's your food bc they don't ask for your NAME during order. Effed up system. Ask for people s names to avoid the massive confusion by customers. The people making the food were nice.

We were traveling from Boone, NC and decided to stop at Jimmy Johns on the way home. the food was ok, but the service was atrocious. They were rude and moved at a snails pace. They did not seem in any kind of hurry to fix our food and neither of the 3 people working smiled the entire time. I wouldn't stop here again.

Awful. I've really never had a good experience here, but I love Jimmy Johns so I get over it. And I won't do it again. There is one person working. ONE. She was so incredibly rude. I would've had sympathy for her had she at least tried to be friendly. Bottom line, service here sucks. Avoid it.

Rediculous the small amount of meat they put on a Tim Turkey! 2 small pieces and sparse lettuce etc! Not impressed at all! Not a fan!

The manager Pam is very personable and her customers love her. She knows many by name as they are her regulars. Also the subs are great.

Called in an order Thursday the 29th. I was told that the manager refused to honor the saveon2 promotion. I called corporate to complain but I haven't heard from them either. My family is a family of 9, u will miss us.

Jimmy John's is pretty consistent store to store. But this sandwich was really perfectly made. Even though I just ran in to pick it up, I felt like a welcomed customer and will be back for sure!

service (only one employee out of 3) was awful. she was completely rude. I didn't here what the order she was that she called out, she told me it was on the ticket and to look. then she yelled someone else's sandwich out extremely loud and acted crazy about them not getting their sandwich off "her counter" quick enough.

Boggles my mind why anyone gets their sandwiches from here. They are so dry. Pineapple sandwich - yuck. I'll pass on the free smells.

I went in and I asked for a number 4, just as I do every single time I walk into a Jimmy John's... and when I asked for extra lettuce and extra tomato, I was told that the store decides how much lettuce and tomato gets put on the sandwich. What I asked for was more lettuce and tomatoes and what minimum amount she was putting on the sandwich. I walked out that was the weirdest thing I've ever heard at a Jimmy John's. Jimmy John's is proud to make the sandwich the way you want it.

Courteous, friendly staff. I don't eat at jimmy John's much, but now I will! The beach sub was excellent!!! The staff was helpful, and my order was fast and fresh! Excellent customer service, I will return!!

Second time I have ordered delivery from this location. The first time was a couple of weeks ago and the kid delivering forgot my drink and brought it back about 30 minutes later. By that time I was finished with my meal but ok things happen. Today I ordered delivery and they forgot my chips. The order receipt is staples on the bag which lists each item ordered so clearly this is a matter of carelessness. I called and they told me "we can deliver your chips but it will be a while because we have other orders now." And I explained this is the second time I've had an issue and she didn't even acknowledge the problem. Offered to refund me for my chips which was $1.50. It's just frustrating to place an order of what you want and not get it. I'd rather have just not ordered and given my money to JJ again.

I called to order a sandwich and was put on hold. After a wait of 8 minutes and 40 seconds someone disconnected the call. Lost my appetite for the sandwich. Terrible customer service!

Pretty decent experience here! Bright, beautiful restaurant with two places to view the menu. I ordered the BLT & in no time my order was ready. I ate on the way back to work & thankfully, the sandwich was constructed neatly! It was so tasty, too. Fresh toppings & crisp bacon. Parking is tricky, since they share the space with other businesses. Friendly employees & great prices. Menu is extensive for sandwhich offerings.

In & out in under 3 minutes! And every single person working behind the counter had a GREAT attitude and spoke with me while I was there. This is my go-to sandwich place

Every time I come here I get the same thing #4 turkey sandwich. Today I added onions. No problem. And asked for pickles on the side. Well this is where the problem lies. I'll just let photo tell the rest of the story. However, I love Jimmy John's. They make the sandwiches super fast and the bread is delicious. But this right here is a shame.

Jimmy John's have started popping up all over Durham, and I don't think they are all created equal. I mean they are all freaky fast, but some are more freaky good than others and this is one of the better ones in my opinion. It's clean, in a good location and friendly, at least when I have been there.

I was not impressed! Placing the order over the phone didn't go smoothly. The woman taking the order was kind enough to tell us that both drivers just went out and the delivery time would be longer than usual. The gentleman that delivered the food was pleasant. Our order was incorrect. As for my actual sandwich, the bread wasn't fresh. I also felt like the price of the sandwiches were high. I can assure you I will not be ordering from there again die to the poor food quality.

I have a confession to make. Lately, I've been a bit obsessed with Jimmy Johns. When I'm crunched for time, there's nothing in the fridge and my belly's rumbling, it's become a habit to get online and order a Turkey Tom. For those who have never experienced Jimmy Johns, it's a run of the mill sandwich place that serves the typical fare: turkey, ham, roast beef, italian sub. What makes it different? 1) You can order online- their website is fantastic! You can even choose to 'reorder' what you had last time. 2) Fastest delivery ever. I live about 3 minutes from this location. It takes them about 10-15 to process my order, make the sandwich and get it to my door. 3) I am picky and always have 'special requests'. They're one of the few places that always gets it right. All of that for about $7 (including a 20% tip to the delivery guy) takes a three star shop to four.

Terrible customer service. I ordered the unwhich and asked for a fork and a knife so I could cut it. Guess what? Jimmy John's doesn't have forks and knives. So, then I got the unsweet tea. I asked for packets of Splenda. Guess what? They don't have Splenda, or any kind of sweetener for that matter. What a debacle. I've never been to a restaurant that didn't have forks, knives or sweeteners.

Each Jimmy Johns location is a franchised location so it may be owned by someone locally. They really are fast. But I like the bread at Quiznos & Jersey Mikes better. The prices at Jimmy Johns are reasonable. Food C Staff B Decor C Location B Health Inspection Grade 99.0

Ran into grab a quick sandwich after a workout. So much better than Subway! Met the manager, Andrea, and she was super helpful! I was quite unsure of what I was looking for and she directed me to Club Lulu and I was more than satisfied. Great food. Great service.

Since it's Jimmy Johns, of course the food is awesome. Plenty of menu options and the sandwiches are customizable. The tables are always clean and the employees are very friendly. Two reasons it didn't get 5 stars: 1. If you show up early, you often get day-old bread. It can be quite hard to chew and make the sandwich a lot less enjoyable. 2. The sandwich-making is actually pretty slow for a Jimmy Johns...the Jimmy Johns where I used to live would have your sandwich done well before your receipt printed. This Jimmy Johns is quite a bit slower, but it's always worth the wait!

If I could give a 2.5, I would. This is because Only about 50 percent of the time do they actually get my sub right! I asked for no cucumbers and they left off the avocado. :(. That's the best part. That's also the second time! Ugh. Freaky fast but not always freaky accurate.

The #6 on Wheat (Veggie) is the best! We at the Fonville Morisey office across the street are addicted. And they seriously are Freaky Fast

SANDWICH QUALITY IS AWFUL Ok. Ordered a sandwich (#6, add hot peppers). Rich, the manager of the store not only made a terrible sandwich, but also fought bringing me a new one through one of the workers under him. I thought it reasonable to the get the sandwich I asked for, but you think he would have the business sense to fix the wrong. First problem I've had with this place. If management recently changed, that's unfortunate. If it hasn't, then I just can't believe the laziness and selfishness of rich and his terrible sandwich quality. Avoid this location if possible.

This place is near my house. Subs are just like every other place. The thing that annoys the piss out of me is they always play the music so damn loud which makes them have to yell at each other behind the counter. When you're asked multiple times to repeat your order or say something again... THE MUSIC IS TOO LOUD.

Make sure you don't use the word "extra" when ordering from this location to deliver. I ordered extra onions and "sauce", they chose to leave both off. Really??

Before I launch into my recent experience with Jimmy Johns, I would like to assert my stance of impartialness with this establishment. For the 8 months I have been in this country, I have consistently averaged 3-4 orders a week. Jimmy Johns Durham NC and I have developed a low-key yet extensive relationship that is entrenched in the many #11 country club orders I've placed. Last Friday, I placed a delivery order at around 10:30am. Pretty random time yeah? Who else orders JJ at 10am on a Friday? Any sensible human being would assume a swift delivery. But no. It was over an hour until the driver came, what on earth were they doing?! The health of our relationship has remained peaceful for all that time has known, but i'm not going to lie, this constant provocative slack and lateness that JJ has recently shown has been causing increasing distress to me and the duke community. Moving on, shortly after when the driver arrived, he called me, I picked up and he coldheartedly said "i'm here", to which i respond with extreme politeness: "Ah, that's jolly good news, I shall be at your location momentarily.", to which he hangs up. Wow, ok, could've said bye. A minute later, he calls me back and impatiently asks "where are you?!". Taken aback by his aggressiveness, I told him i'll be "one sec bro". I get to the front door, he looks at me as if he was Vin fucking Diesel starring in a fast and furious set, sitting in a pimped out Mustang right behind the starting line of some drag race. I walk down the stairs and as I approached him, he DRIVES AWAY. Ok, firstly, being late was bad. Society has no place for people who 'stands around', and these JJ drivers are sitting ducks in this dangerous era of widespread apathy and laziness who will be quickly eliminated by natural evolution. Following this event, I will sue Jimmy Johns because their advert is literally commercial fraud. Jimmy Johns claims that their 'freaky fast order' will save American customers over 8 million hours. Well, not only did they not save any of my time, they wasted my morning and subjected me to hunger and devastation. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, he thinks 3 minutes of waiting (after rocking up half an hour late) justifies his destruction of today's social structure that upholds the trust and integrity in Durham's food delivery industry. What kind of self conceited, selfish person is he to think he is entitled to 'teach me a lesson' by driving away with my bloody sandwich?! Incredible.

I like JJ's. This review is about their limited time promotion of a sandwich called "The Frenchie." I ordered one. Very disappointed. It has very little taste. Even a tad of Dijon mustard would have helped. It didn't have any texture and was boring at first bite. The worst part was the packaging. It was slick, but it's obvious that this sandwich was made in a factory or food processing plant. My guess is when they get an order, they take one off the shelf. I wouldn't be surprised if they deliver them to the stores via UPS.

I love Jimmy John's usually but prefer to pay cash and this location doesn't accept 100s or 50s...it's a policy...so if you've got $$$ don't bring it here

Blah. Won't be back. If you want a boring sandwich fast than this is the place. Jersey Mike's is far superior but it's still under construction. This sandwich reminded me of a fresh Walmart Sammy.

What used to be a decent tasting quick and kinda healthy option, has become overpriced and underwhelming. So there was a recent price bump, which wouldn't be so bad it the portions and quality hadn't decreased. The meats are leaner and I don't mean that there is less fat, just less meat. The tomato slices are smaller, about the size of a 50cent piece (they only use 3 slices a sandwich) and the overall taste is affected by the filling to bread ratio. You have to ask for extra everything. But adding extra meat, only works if you want Tuna, Bacon, VitoMeat, Turkey or Ham, and that will cost you. Oh and the dipping sauce at 0.50 for 2oz , not worth it.

I eat here on occasion and I've always enjoyed it. If you're in a hurry, this is a great stop. You'll be in and out in no time.

This is a REALLY nice Jimmy Johns. What I liked the best was the amount of eat in space. Other Jimmy Johns may not have a lot of eat in space. Great location!

This location of the sandwich chain has a great interior with funny and insightful signs on the walls. As always great sandwiches polite fast staff and to boot the smell of a classic sandwich shop yumm!!

Used to be my favorite sandwich place till today. Apparently no one can run my gift card even though it's been used before. Rich was absolutely rude and decided to hang up the phone. Spoke to a manager who couldn't do anything for me so he had to transfer me to the general manager who also couldn't do anything. What an absolute waste of time.

Not very clean when I stopped in and it smelled like a sewer. Sorry but have been to dozens of JJs and this was the worst.

I have ordered from jimmy johns quite a lot, and the past few times they have gotten very slow with wrong orders(for delivery). The people delivering the subs are quite nice.

I am not giving this review one star because of the help. The people that work at this location are all extremely friendly and fast with getting my sandwich to me. My one star review is about the content. I drop into this location every couple of weeks because I like their Beach Club Sandwich, which is turkey with sprouts, cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes. I know the bread is not great for me. So recently I started logging my food intake on myfitnesspal.com and was shocked when I realized that this sandwich has 42.5 grams of fat, 1810 mg sodium, 90 grams carbs (this one was not so surprising) and 72 grams of cholesterol for a total of 810 calories. I double checked with the JJ website to make sure there were no mistakes and there were no mistakes....this is all correct. I know there are other choices there but a turkey sandwich is supposed to be somewhat healthy. And this is about as far from healthy as I have found for a deli sandwich. Sorry but I will not go back. Going to stick to fresh food from home.

The food was fine, but the service leaves a bit to be desired. When I asked if they would bag up a large order, they just pointed at a pile of bags behind their counter, making me do their job for them. The first time this happened, I just brushed it off, but the second time I felt was just plain poor service. I understand based on the signs hanging on their walls that they take a 'sarcastic' approach to their business, but when you start losing customers over it, it's time to reevaluate things.

Freaking worst jjs in the area. I got a country club unwich. It was sloppy, completely missing cheese, and barely had any meat. It was seriously the worst sandwich I've ever had from a jimmy johns at any location. My bf got something with roast beef and didn't even finish it because the meat tasted off. What a waste of a meal

Like their ads say, "freaky fast" service. They usually have your sandwich ready for you before you're even done paying. You won't be disappointed with any of their subs or chips!

I think these are much better sandwiches than subways. I love the whole grain bread, not the sub bread. It seems quite healthy and it is definitely tasty. The prices are very reasonable.

We order Jimmy John's quite often for lunch at our office. We have always had a great experience with them, as they are usually very fast and the food is good. However, the last 3 or 4 times we have ordered, it has taken a very long time for our order. Each time we have to call to get the status and are always told the driver was nearby, until today. We placed our order at 12:15pm and asked for it asap. At 1pm it was still not here so we called. We were told it would be ATLEAST another 25 mins b/c they are down a driver and the person who answered is one of them. We told them to go ahead and cancel the order (the order would have arrived after our lunch time). They said they would cancel it and the refund the credit card. About an hour later we receive a call from their delivery driver saying he's on the way and should be here soon. Once again, I had to tell him we cancelled the order already. I really like Jimmy John's and would love to continue being a customer, however, I would suggest maybe a phone call to give a heads up that they are running behind.
