Preston Center Scores a New York Style Pizza Destination | Eater Dallas

"A longtime McKinney pizza institution founded in 1969 that had been a local fixture for decades; the founder retired last year and recently died after a long COVID-19 hospitalization. The business is being continued by his son, and the strong community response to the founder’s passing — including heavy virtual-funeral attendance — underscores the restaurant’s deep local roots and loyal following." - Brittanie Shey

Well, it was the first time here, and I was not disappointed. Went on a Saturday night, which is lasagna buffet night! Lasagna, salad bar, some desserts, breadsticks, and sauce! They offer so much. Veteran pizzeria and they offer discount. Good food and good prices. A young guy I believe his name is Shawn at the register, on the phone and all over, had to deal with a crazy older lady cursing up a storm! He was under a lot of stress, hot and busy ! He did a great job both at work and handling her. Great job, young man! You need a raise.

Hey guys if you looking for pizza not exactly like Pizza Casa and Pizza Villa. But super close. It’s been family owned since 1969. The son took over from his dad and he graduated from P.E.S.H. IN THE 80’s. He knew the Pizza casa family and has some of the stuff sold from pizza casa. He also ate with his family at pizza villa as well in high school. Check out Jim’s Pizza @ 2107 Eldorado Ste 110 McKINNEY Tx 75070. They even have a buffet…It’s is bringing back delicious memories of Pizza Casa…Just like Sol Becker made. Tell them David with Mercedes Pools sent you….Bon Appetite Not to be confused with Mr.Jims..

This place used to be good but has gone downhill quickly. Pizza pickup order. Came in and many pp waiting at register. I knew something was wrong. Guy at register disappeared and finally one of the guys making pizzas came over. Staff seemed disinterested in customers. Floor dirty with food and it was very warm in the restaurant. Buffet looked dirty. Family came in looked at the buffet and immediately left. Paid for my order, got home, wrong order. I should have checked before leaving. Was not about to drive back considering the lack of service and chaos. I have been going to Jim’s for a while. They were always friendly, timely, and efficient. The owner needs to take a serious look at what’s going on because it’s not good. I won’t be back. Too many other choices.

(Watch Video) I worked here for a year and this is by far the NASTIEST restaurant ive ever work at. The owner could care less obout how clean the restaurant is. Thers natts and buggs in the flour thats they make dough with. So natts are being mixed in the pizza dough The drains are full of maggots natts and other bacteria The place is infested with roaches

Hello, When I first moved to McKinney, I didn’t find many places I truly enjoyed eating — but Jim’s Buffet became one of my favorites, especially for an inexpensive pizza spot. I even took my mom there recently, telling her it was my go-to. Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. She ordered a salad but wasn’t able to eat it due to the knat in the salad before she even put it on her plate, which made me feel bad after recommending the place. The restaurant itself also feels like it’s in need of some updates — it’s been open a long time, but the space looks tired, unorganized, and could really benefit from a remodel not even a super expensive one just clean it up the floor looks bad as ur sitting from the booth looking into the kitchen while you eat. My personal favorite part has always been the ice cream, but lately even that has been inconsistent, with grit-like pieces in it. It’s frustrating because if the food and quality were consistently good, I’d have no hesitation recommending Jim’s Buffet to everyone I know. As a loyal customer, I’m sharing this feedback because I care about the place and want to see it thrive. I hope the quality and environment can be brought up to the standard I know it’s capable of.

Jimmy’s Pizza is a go-to spot for our family! The pizza is always delicious, fresh, and made just right. One of our favorite things is the salad bar—it's always well-stocked with fresh ingredients and makes it easy to add something healthy to the meal. The atmosphere is casual and kid-friendly, which makes dining out with the whole family stress-free. Highly recommend for a fun and tasty family meal!

We were there at 11:30 am. The vegetables on the salad bar was old. The spinach was rotten. The buffet pizza was lacking in toppings and tasteless. The bathroom had not been cleaned. The floor was sticky and there was no toilet paper.

I would not recommend this place.. I'm writing this review as I wait.. The wife placed a order online for me around 7pm on 6/20 for a 9pm pick up and I went up there at 9pm and they knew nothing about it... Even showed them the receipt order confirmation number and then they said well it's going to take at least 20 minutes..... They acted like I was inconvenienceing them.....I will just take my 35 dollar pizza to Mello mushroom or Mr Jim's next time...I try to give small town businesses my business but it's not worth it..... They can't handle a simple order... Update--- I didn't know your website went through a 3rd party... People order online for convenience.... Maybe this review will help the next people who order from Jim's to call it in instead of using your website... Just FYI there wasn't any extra charges...
