Former Owner of Peet’s Coffee Shops Admits to Money Laundering Scheme - Eater SF

"For 28 years, Jimtown — a combination deli, general store, and gift shop — has served Alexander Valley visitors and locals from its Highway 128 storefront. All that ends on December 30, Jimtown owner Carrie Brown writes on its website." - Eve Batey

Friendly service, delicious sandwiches, cold drinks and local goods. A lovely spot to stop and enjoy great food and shop for local gems. I had the crispy eggplant sandwich and the bread was amazing, quality vegetables, flavor on pointe, and very filling. I’ll be back and look forward to their expanded menu as well!

We stopped to eat here after wine tasting. It is a very charming place. Loved the atmosphere. We loved the food. It was prepared well and tasted great! The only thing that we didn't like were the prices. It was way too expensive. A sandwich here cost more money that one in New York City. Perhaps they have you because this is ten minutes from town and no direct competition. Although the food and service were good, I would probably not return and go somewhere else for lunch.

Great stop near Wildhaven! Plenty of parking, fast and friendly service, delicious food, and free sparkling water. Cozy spot with lots of charm. Ordered chicken and beef bánh mi and a bao. PRICEY…BUT DELICIOUS.

Excellent lunch and friendly service. I had the muffuletta on homemade focaccia and it was delicious! Focaccia was golden brown, soft and fluffy!

So excited they are now open. Awesome menu breakfast and great lunch. Coffee, expresso, wine by the glass. Really cute hand made items for sale in gift shop. She even serves dim sum. A must stop while in Alexander Valley, Healdsburg.

Amazing food, and amazing service! They catered our wedding and we are still receiving compliments from our guests months later. Michelle is a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend both her restaurant and catering services!

We were recommended to try this spot for sandwiches but our guide at banshee wines, as they just reopened post covid, and it was perfect! We got a sandwich to share, which was big enough for two. It tasted fresh, had fluffy focaccia, and was the perfect after wine tasting meal. Also homely inside with local business on full display.

Michelle and her crew recently catered my son's wedding dinner for 150 guests at a home in Healdsburg. The menu was entierly finger-type food and included vegan and vegetarian options: shrimp spring rolls, tofu spring rolls, crispy mushroom bao, braised pork bao, meatball sliders on green onion pancakes, and a taco bar with carnitas, chicken and tofu/peppers fillings and multiple salsas. The food was delicious (including guest comments!) and perfect for the venue and the relaxed atmosphere. We definitely picked a great provider who came up with a great dinner. They used our kitchen to complete prep and cooking and left it in immaculate condition. The food and service really made the evening a great success!

Yelp
Reopened and very good. I had a Banh Mi sandwich and potato salad. Both excellent. All the sandwiches were $20 or a little under. Welcome back!

Yelp
"Shoutout to the Asian girls, let the lights dim sum" - Drake. Definitely overpriced $20 bahn mi but it was still good. But I also grew up on $5 bahn mi. Also got the bao. Fluffy af but $6/ea. good food just taxed af. So expect to pay extra for some above average grub.

Yelp
An amazing family owned place, so happy that they are open once again. I just had the pork buns, they are delicious.!

Yelp
I came on a Thursday afternoon with a friend. We were definitely looking forward to some Dim Sum Dumplings but there were none on the menu. We were told they had sold out at the opening & wouldn't have more till the end of the following week. Seems odd for a place marketing dim sum. We ordered an open face pork belly sandwich & spring rolls. The pork belly was very mediocre & bread was stale - it broke apart in my hand instead of being pillowy. It had 3 tiny pieces of pork belly & was mostly onion & cilantro which was a let down for its $18 price tag. Spring rolls were ok but nothing special & sauces were boring. The girl at the counter was nice but seemed pre-occupied on her phone. When we returned our trays and plates the dish bin was overflowing. Can't say I'd come back. As a local living basically down the road, I was really looking forward to Jimtown opening again & especially with the addition of supposedly fantastic dim sum. Hoping they up their game and get their dumpling menu together. With so many places serving amazing food here in Sonoma County this was a disappointment.

Yelp
This has reopened and I was really disappointed and will not be back. The staff were impolite and the food was terrible. I ordered a sandwich and the bread was so stale it was about 4 days old, the filling was sad looking and very sparse and the cost was very expensive. I ordered two lattes, one with oatmilk and when I collected them the person that had made it could not remember if she had made one with oatmilk (she had just that moment finished making them) she responded to my question with "probably" and when I asked her to identify which one had oatmilk, she shook each cup and identified one. Neither had oatmilk in it.
