Former Owner of Peet’s Coffee Shops Admits to Money Laundering Scheme - Eater SF

"For 28 years, Jimtown — a combination deli, general store, and gift shop — has served Alexander Valley visitors and locals from its Highway 128 storefront. All that ends on December 30, Jimtown owner Carrie Brown writes on its website." - Eve Batey

Friendly service, delicious sandwiches, cold drinks and local goods. A lovely spot to stop and enjoy great food and shop for local gems. I had the crispy eggplant sandwich and the bread was amazing, quality vegetables, flavor on pointe, and very filling. I’ll be back and look forward to their expanded menu as well!

We were recommended to try this spot for sandwiches but our guide at banshee wines, as they just reopened post covid, and it was perfect! We got a sandwich to share, which was big enough for two. It tasted fresh, had fluffy focaccia, and was the perfect after wine tasting meal. Also homely inside with local business on full display.

Michelle and her crew recently catered my son's wedding dinner for 150 guests at a home in Healdsburg. The menu was entierly finger-type food and included vegan and vegetarian options: shrimp spring rolls, tofu spring rolls, crispy mushroom bao, braised pork bao, meatball sliders on green onion pancakes, and a taco bar with carnitas, chicken and tofu/peppers fillings and multiple salsas. The food was delicious (including guest comments!) and perfect for the venue and the relaxed atmosphere. We definitely picked a great provider who came up with a great dinner. They used our kitchen to complete prep and cooking and left it in immaculate condition. The food and service really made the evening a great success!

Ohhh! It's the new Jimtown and Then Sum!! We are over the moon that Michelle Wood has landed in Alexander Valley at the historic and well known Jimtown, now known as Jimtown and Then Sum. Michelle and her amazing staff catered our wedding this past June 2024 at Medlock Ames Historical Tasting Room (almost next door!), and we couldn't have been happier with how everything went. The passed apps were incredible (and likely will all be featured at the new Jimtown and Then Sum). We are huge fans of dim sum and are so tickled that we will be able to grab dim sum while up in Alexander Valley. Wow. Back to the wedding food - her staff did an amazing grazing table complete with every cured meat and fancy cheese you can imagine. And then the dinner - it was all so lovely! Her cuisine has an Asian flair which we love and it was so different from the typical wedding food. My favorite is her Buddha bowl - glass noodles and veggies. Yum! The next time you're up in Alexander Valley you will definitely want to pop by Jimtown and Then Sum for some yummy dim sum treats and other yummies from Michelle... you can also stop by Medlock Ames on that corner there for some delicious wine (and incredible hosts too!) and end with a splash of wine from Jimtown's next door neighbor, Hawkes - just as fabulous wine. The secret is out... this little stretch of Alexander Valley is the best yet.

Cute little spot with awesome coffee and little deli. Private wine tastings in the back. Inside and outside seating. Very unique and quaint. Staff was very helpful and kind.
