"For 28 years, Jimtown — a combination deli, general store, and gift shop — has served Alexander Valley visitors and locals from its Highway 128 storefront. All that ends on December 30, Jimtown owner Carrie Brown writes on its website." - Eve Batey

Ohhh! It's the new Jimtown and Then Sum!! We are over the moon that Michelle Wood has landed in Alexander Valley at the historic and well known Jimtown, now known as Jimtown and Then Sum. Michelle and her amazing staff catered our wedding this past June 2024 at Medlock Ames Historical Tasting Room (almost next door!), and we couldn't have been happier with how everything went. The passed apps were incredible (and likely will all be featured at the new Jimtown and Then Sum). We are huge fans of dim sum and are so tickled that we will be able to grab dim sum while up in Alexander Valley. Wow. Back to the wedding food - her staff did an amazing grazing table complete with every cured meat and fancy cheese you can imagine. And then the dinner - it was all so lovely! Her cuisine has an Asian flair which we love and it was so different from the typical wedding food. My favorite is her Buddha bowl - glass noodles and veggies. Yum! The next time you're up in Alexander Valley you will definitely want to pop by Jimtown and Then Sum for some yummy dim sum treats and other yummies from Michelle... you can also stop by Medlock Ames on that corner there for some delicious wine (and incredible hosts too!) and end with a splash of wine from Jimtown's next door neighbor, Hawkes - just as fabulous wine. The secret is out... this little stretch of Alexander Valley is the best yet.

Food was really good, we had a pulled pork sandwich and chicken soup!! The owner was very friendly and the rural setting is just unbeatable!

Cute little spot with awesome coffee and little deli. Private wine tastings in the back. Inside and outside seating. Very unique and quaint. Staff was very helpful and kind.

Cutest little country deli and cafe. The food is very good, servers friendly. The food is made carefully of fresh local ingredients. We like to eat brunch there. They also sell cute gifts and snacks. Recommended. Very popular with bicyclists and tourists.

Jimtown is my must-stop location whenever I'm cycling the Alexander Valley. The sandwiches, the soup-of-day, are gourmet and have never disappointed in >5 years of this being a regular stop. Truly a wine-country gem. There's always traffic, but I have yet to find it super-busy. I'll point out, it's got one of the best souvenir stores in the wine country, with the most unique items for both adults and kids. Normally, I'd pass up on buying stuff while I'm on my bike, but these folks have really thought this through. Superb.

One of the best brunch / lunch spots in Sonoma county! Their breakfast sandwich with bacon and pepper jelly is amazing, but I've yet to have a dish that wasn't perfectly made. Great way to start your wine tasting plans or grab coffee (they serve flying goat)

Fabulous spot for lunch in between tastings in Alexander Valley. They have delicious sandwiches and salads. The people here are super friendly and they have some fun souvenirs in the general store. They have plenty of seating, both inside and out, which was perfect for a spring day.
