Jin Dak PDX

I tried the fried chicken sandwich, as well as the boneless wings with sweet chili sauce. Both were amazing! Texture and flavor was on point, even the side salad was vibrant and fresh. Amazing customer service, will absolutely be back to try more :)

This place is so amazing. We get the kimchi fries, spicy chicken sandwich, and boneless chicken honey soy. The man who runs it is the coolest. Thank you so much for the great food and experience.

Amazing food, really good quality and great price !!! I’ve tried their boneless wings, snapper fish hoagie, bibimbap, and kimchi fries. All were amazing — especially the kimchi fries. The owner is also very nice! I can’t stop coming back to this place, it’s definitely one of my favorite places in Portland.

I don't think chicken can be fried any better than this, for 12 bucks, you're getting fried perfection and a side. Only a handful of tots, but I think just enough to constitute a side. Would absolutely come back.

Fabulous vegan bibimbap! Adding an egg is optional. I appreciate the reusable bowl for "dining in" at the food cart park's picnic tables.

Jin Dak is the best Korean in PDX. The bibimbap is absolutely exceptional. Healthy portion, quality ingredients. The kimchi fries are a fun unique side. I’m obsessed with this food cart and hope it stays around forever! 10/10 could not recommend this place enough.

Whoa! This was not our intended stop but the chicken sandwich and bi-bim-bap looked good. Flavors are excellent, good spice level, and very quick service. I can’t wait to come back!

I came here craving Korean fried chicken one day and this was perfect! Located in a small food cart area, there is some seating but because it was a rainy day, I took mine home after ordering. Service was pretty fast and very kind. I got their wings, bibimbap, and chicken sandwich and it was all so delicious. the bibimbap was very veggie heavy (which I love) and I got it with chicken. It was flavorful and filling. The wings were amazing. They were so crispy and still juicy, and it also came with a side of rice and salad. And, the chicken sandwich was saucy and also delicious. Definitely would come back and I highly recommend this Korean fried chicken food truck!

Decided to swing by and got the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich with a side of tater tots ($12)! It comes with a lot of veggies (pickles, tomatoes, onions, lettuce etc) and tastes amazing and I highly recommend it if you're in the area! I definitely think you should eat it right away when you get it, I waited a bit to get home and the bun got pretty soggy as a result which made it not as appetizing...

Always a delight to savor their Korean Chicken Wings. Today no bones about it. lol no seriously they were out of chicken with bones, so we went with "no bone" chicken. Definitely prefer with. But, again the double crispness of the chicken, that textured crunch and sauces. Great for your palette. Our Chicken came with a cup of white rice and a salad. Loved the dressing!! Customer service was friendly.

We are a fan of Jin-Dak and fortunate to have it located so close to us. The owner is always very friendly and helpful. The food is consistently excellent and decent portions. Jin-Dak is located in a great food truck pod with many options, very clean and a beer garden in the back.

Jin dak is a Korean fried chicken joint. I got the chicken sandwich with chicken wings. For the wings, I ordered the sweet garlic chilly sauce. The flavors were excellent. The sandwich was also very flavorful. The tots was fun addition to the meal. I appreciate the spice, yet would love the sweet garlic chilly to be a bit spicier, but it was great. This is a model for Korean fried chicken. This is a food cart spot, so the seating can get full.

One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time! Very nicely fried chicken with a great balance of freshness from the kimchi and vegetables. The sandwich itself is quite juicy so the nice buns did a good job with soaking all the flavor up. I also ordered a small boneless chicken with honey soy and each piece was coated with sauce so it was a blast of flavor! I was not expecting rice and a side of salad so it filled me up! Service was extra friendly and the food was tasty and felt worthwhile for the price. I will need to come back to try the other flavors! There are also plenty of benches to sit on and an undercover area as well!

Delicious Korean fried chicken, fries, sandwiches, & bi bim bap! The portions are filling, food is flavorful and has a great texture (fried chicken is always crispy & crunchy, bi bim bap had the crispy & gooey sunnyside up egg, soft rice, fresh greens, etc). My personal favorite is the chicken bi bim bap (tofu option is good too) and they can make it gluten free which is hard to find! The employees (I think owners) are so nice and helpful. Jin Dak is one of my favorite food trucks in Portland.

Ordered the Bi Bim Bap, some places make it bland, this place is FULL of flavor. Marinated chicken was great, the veggies were good, perfectly cooked egg on top and delicious bean sprouts! We also ordered the boneless fried chicken, perfectly crispy with a smooth honey soy sauce and the salad with the dressing was tangy and delicious. I am so thrilled to have Korean food in Sellwood, it's been a missing link and we are getting FANTASTIC quality. The owner is friendly. Normally the camera eats before I do but it smelled so good that we destroyed our plates before we took pictures. We will be back for the sandwiches and kim chi fries!

Probably one of the best Korean fried chicken sandwiches I've had in a bit! Chicken wasn't dry and all the components combined together beautifully! Was slightly sad after scarfing my sandwich so quickly

Got 2 chicken sandwiches to go just before closing. OMG they were sooooo delicious. Presentation was great even in a to go box. The chicken is crispy and juicy, a bit spicy but yummy. New weekly dinner from now on.

Always our go to when we're stopping off in Sellwood, usually can snag a street spot in front ( we go off hours ) today hubs got a Korean chicken sandwich but my fave is the snapper, delicious lil side salad and good convo with the proprietor! Highly recommend

Finally got around to ordering the Snapper a fish Hoagie. Like everything Bobby does it was outstanding! The guy is not only a great chef but always had a great attitude. The chicken sandwich is still my addiction but the Snapper is now in the line up.

The chicken sandwich is fantastic but it's the kimchi fries that have me coming back again and again. Crispy, salty, sweet, a little spicy - very craveable.

Love this place! Friendly service and excellent food. The chicken wings and kimchi fries are amazing! The snapper hoagie keeps me coming back regularly. Covered beer garden with benches and heaters in the same food cart pod and right next to new seasons if you need anything else.

Stopped by this place due to the great reviews, and I can see why! I got the boneless chicken with sweet chili sauce and rice. The chicken had the perfect crispy coating, the meat was super tender and the sauce was really tasty. The guy that helped me was very friendly too! All in all it was a really delicious visit! Next time I'm on that side of town again, I'll for sure go back! Check it out!

Amazing food truck! I am still thinking about the snapper sandwich and wondering when I can go get another. Chicken was also really great. And come on, who doesn't want to support the friendly owners?! Love this place.

Well this chicken was just YUM. It was perfectly breaded, not fatty, and so flavorful. I appreciate the offering of 3 sizes - the small boneless was just right for me. Dressing on the salad was also great. Will be back again to try the sandwich.

Best Korean fried chicken I've ever had. I love the kimchi slaw, sauces and crunchiness. The salad dressing is yummy too.

The fried chicken is pretty solid, and the overall vibe of the pod is good. The prices are very expensive ($12 small boneless, $24 medium), and it's not a lot of food.

I was in a hurry to look for some food to eat and came across some food cart pods. I wanted something light and on the healthier side, and found that Jin-Dak is selling bibimbap in addition to their Korean fried chicken. The owner was very kind and energetic. The bibimbap was delicious, I loved all the toppings on it. Once you mixed everything together it was a perfect bite especially with the egg yolk blending in everything. Next time, I'll definitely try their Korean fried chicken and their snapper fish hoagie. These two things were getting ordered over and over while I was there.

The snapper hoagie was amazing. My eyes widened after the first bite, I even slurped the juices at the bottom of the wrapper at the end, it was that good. The owner/chef was also incredibly personable and kind. Will be back and hopefully I'll get something else instead of what will likely happen, which is getting the snapper hoagie over and over and over again.

My husband tried this place while I was out of town a few weeks ago. He raved about it and couldn't wait to take me We went on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't insanely busy, but it had a steady stream of people coming through. We shared a small Korean spicy boneless wing and kimchi fries. I'm a huge fan of as-spicy-as-you-can-get, but I also enjoy a subtle kick if it has good flavor. These wings were super tasty! I wouldn't consider them spicy at all, but I really enjoyed the flavor. They were also nice, crunchy, and sticky on the outside, like they should be. The chicken was good quality too. Sometimes places like to give you crappy chicken as long as it's coated in sauce. That's not the case here. Perfection! The kimchi fries were delicious. It's a rather large side so you can easily share it. I do wish there were slightly more kimchi, but it just fine as is too. We definitely plan to come back. Service was awesome too.

I could not ask for this food to be better. So good! Omg. We got the bi bim bap w chicken, and the Korean fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was so good my mom ordered a 2nd one. Well made food served by a friendly wonderful cook! Flavorful and amazing, I will be back so many times.

Best chicken in the universe. Kimchi fries are the greatest food possible. Entire family always agrees to getting Jin-Dak. Has been and continues to be awesome. Plus the owner is super nice.

The food - awesome! The service - friendly, considerate, and fast! The ambiance . . . well . . . It's a good truck, but the pod has a nice beer trailer in the back and plenty of covered, some with a gas fire pit, seating. Best of all - the French fries are some of the best in Portland.

I come here all the time and love this food. It's a simple menu but such amazing flavors. I've tried every sauce option and they are all so tasty. Also the chicken sandwich with tots is unreal.

Great Korean fried Chicken. I usually get the boneless spicy Korean version and get 1/2 rice and half salad. The dressing on the salad is very good and the salad is very fresh tasting. The fish sandwich is delicious, as well. And the owner has a great, friendly personality!! I don't get here enough...it really is good. I just needed to remind myself tonight. ;)

Piknik is a great little food cart pod and Jin-Dak is my favorite cart there. Their crispy Korean spicy fried chicken sandwich is delicious.

Located in a cutely named food cart pod, Piknik Park, Jin-Dak was a visit purely based on a whim. I wanted some eggplant from a food cart across the way and said to myself, "Hey, while I wait, let me check out the other food carts so I don't stand over other people eating at the picnic benches." I perused Jin-Dak's menu and the Korean Spicy sauce caught my eye. And,and, and, it was available in boneless chicken!!! As much as I like to go hand to hand with a chicken, I decided I will forgo that pleasantry and go without. I ordered the medium boneless chicken /w Korean Spicy sauce and red bean rice for both sides. The chicken....was amazingggggggggg. I would not consider it any spicier than a medium, at best, but it was full of flavor and thick mama-didn't-raise-no-fool chicken pieces. I wished for more spice, but the flavor left me in a state of rapture so no endless paper-cut pain there. My main concern was that my order came with the salad and rice instead just rice.....so it made me wonder if I got someone else's order. They have a pager system to knock out the possibility of two people answering to the name Andresico, but I question it since the quantity seemed a bit small. It was still quite filling, but I would want to re-try the medium to see if that is the correct quantity or not.

I went with the Korean spicy fried boneless chicken. I went here based off the pictures on yelp, and it did not disappoint! I loved the flavor of the spicy Korean fried chicken and loved how the chicken was smothered in sauce!

Great experience! Tried going right before close on Friday night but they were out of almost everything so we waited until this afternoon to try them and we were so happy we did. The food was delicious and filling. Couple working the truck are sweet as can be! The boneless chicken was perfectly cooked, crunchy breading and not too much breading. The sauces were super tasty. We could appreciate a bit spicier on the Korean Spicy but we can also handle pretty spicy food! The sweet garlic chilly sauce was great, too! The garlic was a perfect touch. The kale salad and cucumbers were really good, too! Very refreshing to eat with the fried chicken. The Kimchi fries were delicious. Sauces on the fries were great and the kimchi was spicy and fresh. The ginger salad was amazing! Not too strong on the ginger like most ginger salads I've had. It was so nice and fresh on top of the rest of the food, too! Definitely will be coming back to these guys again. All the flavors were amazing and the service was wonderful! We'll probably try the bone-in chicken next time!

Hidden gem! My new go-to spot for Korean fried chicken. Great customer service and fast. Stumbled upon this food truck a couple days ago and so happy we did. The chicken is huge (twice the size of bww), perfect crunch and flavorful. We ordered a large and did 2 flavors- My favorite was the honey soy. The large comes with a small side of rice and a pickled veggie salad. Plenty of food for 3 people. There's restrooms, hand washing, and 5 tables so not a lot of seating but does the trick. Definitely recommend this place!!!

The food is awesome and the owner is incredibly nice. I order the Korean chicken sandwich every time as it's favorite. The combo of flavors is spicy, creamy, and crunchy. You can't go wrong with this cart.

Holy yum!!! I'm not sure where to start. This is a super cute food cart in the Piknik (?) food pod, a very sweet friendly man took my order and it was ready within minutes. I ordered a bibimbap, and a small portion of boneless chicken w Korean Spice. It was delicious! The bibimbap was savory and perfectly spicy, the cart owner reminded me to stir everything together for the best flavors. The chicken was quite a big portion for the size small and came with a side, either ginger soy salad or white rice and I choose half/half so we got to enjoy both! Crispy, hot and generously seasoned with a sweet/spicy Korean sauce I couldn't quite make out, I was impressed by how meaty each chunk was instead of being overly breaded. We will definitely be back!!

Short review. Absolute best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Tots are amazing as well.

Amazing chicken sandwich. Great balance of flavors and crispness. Pairs well with a Kinda Dry cider by Portland Cider Co from The Dive Bar which is nearby.

What is there not to like? I have tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. My go-to dish is the Korean Spicy Wings. These wings are the best I've eaten in Portland. Better than Pok Pok, so much tastier than anything at Fire on The Mountain. I keep going back to stuff my face with more wings... and fries... the Korean Fries are so tasty. Basically a Korean take on Poutine. There is never a fry left. The chicken sandwich is stellar, the snapper sandwich a masterpiece. I order the Bibimbap when feeling like I should eat a little healthier. Everything on the menu is so tasty. The owners are extremely warm and welcoming, good people you want in your neighborhood. The service is great, they bring the food out to your table. Jin-Dak is my favorite cart in PDX. I go back at least once a week to enjoy one of their amazing dishes.

This is the absolute best Chicken Sandwich in all of Portland, I travel from out of town frequently and the sandwich is a must have every visit.

Incredible. By far the best Korean fried chicken in Portland and one of the best fried chicken places. The Korean spicy has a wonderful kick to it. Also enjoyed the bibimbap. It tastes Korean; not fusion or whatever nonsense others serve. Highly recommend and have been back several times already.

Had some extra time on a Thursday evening and decided to try this food cart purely on a whim with a friend. So glad we did! The chicken stayed crunchy, even after our 20-minute trek back home, and both sauces we tried were excellent. The kimchi fries are also a fantastic side dish. I look forward to returning to try some of the other menu items -- people waiting nearby were raving about the chicken sandwich and the fish hoagie as well. On top of it all, the man who helped us was super friendly and thoughtful. We will definitely be back.

Food is SO good! I just had an amazing trout sandwich. Tempura fried trout with a bunch of veggies. This is gonna be my new go-to spot.
