Best tasting fish soup, really thick & yummy. Add milk and choose slice fish, fried fish can pass. The sliced fish has thick chunks and makes the meal so filling. Full meal good food! But negative part is waiting time, queued 50mins for 1x bowl 🥵 $7.50/ bowl, WORTH

One of the popular stall in Old Airport Road Hawker Centre. You can always see queues forming up in front of this stall. We decided to give it a try, and it's definitely worth the hype. They carefully cooked each order to ensure the consistency of their quality and each bowl was served hot, individually to us. Their sliced fish soup was really addictive. It was strong, rich and creamy, you can taste the sweet essence of the fish within the broth. Slices of fish meat were fresh and chunky, with no fishy smell. Beehoon was soft and smooth as well.

One of the best sliced fish soup around the area. The soup is thick and fragrant with milk and cooking wine. The sliced fish is fresh and they used Spanish Mackerel for their sliced fish soup. The store also offers a premium Fried Grouper option as well. The queue might be long but the service is fast with the fast cooking.

Queued for 40 mins for this fish soup. Soup is very tasty nice, number of slices of fish is sufficient, BUT the fish is not fresh enough for me to even want to queue for 10 mins. You can find better fish elsewhere. Not worth the hype. If you’re here to drink tasty soup, this is the place. If you’re here for fresh fish, no. UPDATE 2 days later: I developed a rash later that day after eating this fish soup. I’m allergic to crustaceans (ie. dried shrimp and prawns etc), so it means some dried shrimp was added to this soup for its flavour. So hard to eat clean in Singapore. Even a bowl of fish soup can contain ingredients that might cause an allergic reaction

Fried fish beehoon soup is nice but not as tasty as expected. Maybe because it’s too hot? Feels like it gets more flavourful when it’s cooling down. The queue at 12pm on a weekend is about 40 mins! Come before peak hours!

This is as good a batang fish soup as any batang fish soup can ever get. Absolutely one of the best. Even though there’s always a queue, the intense dual stove fire ensures timely serving by friendly solo uncle. I can’t imagine the heat in your face. Prob hot like hell. I like my broth clear without milk so can taste the fish umami, savory but not salty. For $6, the serving is generous with lots of chunky pieces, veggies and tofu. Damn shiok.

I was intrigued by the long queue at the restaurant, and I appreciated the detailed manner in which the boss collected my order, even asking if I wanted milk in my soup. However, the food did not live up to my expectations. The fried fish was just have salty taste the fish fragrant does not stand out, and the broth was average. In comparison, I have had better fish head bee hoon in Kuala Lumpur, where the dish is typically served with ginger, pickled vegetables, and tomato, which add a hint of sourness to the dish and make it refreshing.

huge bowl for $6! Very fresh fish and rich soup. Lots of veggies. Fish slice is better tasting than the fried one in my opinion 🐟🐟🐟 the boss is also very friendly
