Jin Jin

"For over 40 years, Chef Wang Yuk-sung has been committed to popularizing Chinese cuisine in Korea. Unlike most generic Korean-style Chinese restaurants ubiquitous to Seoul, Chef Wang offers a limited menu of just ten dishes to ensure that the quality of the food he serves is consistently high. Some of the most requested dishes include shrimp toast, stir-fried crab meat with egg white, mapo tofu and stir-fried beef with gai lan." - Michelin Inspector

Michelin Bib Gourmond restaurant serving Korean Chinese food. Limited menu with slightly different fare from the typical Korean Chinese cuisine. Appreciated how they changed our plates between dishes, so that we can enjoy each dish without mixing the different sauces. Very small restaurant. Was busy on a week day evening. Better to reserve.

Jin Jin is a restaurant worthy of its Bib Gourmand designation. Although food was admittedly not the most authentic Chinese food you could get, this definitely encapsulated the spirit of Korean Chinese food. Came here at 6:30PM on a Tuesday and restaurant was fairly packed, had to wait outside for a little under 20 minutes for a table for two. Food was reasonably priced, maybe a little bit on the higher end. Ordered the shrimp toast, chili shrimp and egg plant. Shrimp toast and chili shrimp were highlights of the meal, with both dishes being well prepared and fresh. Flavors felt a bit one dimensional, but both dishes felt lighter than expected given that they were both fried. Would not recommend the eggplant as it was not very reminiscent of the traditional eggplant dish, and it was overall very under seasoned. Although we can't comment on how the restaurant fared compared to typical Korean Chinese food alternative, definitely good enough to come back to if we find ourselves in Korea again in the future!

Really good, Michelin-rated, Chinese food. They had an English menu available. We were seated upon arrival even though we didn't have a reservation. We ordered the crab and mapo tofu. Both were great, with the mapo tofu was the best I've ever had and the crab was very generously portioned.

The shrimp toast (menbosha) and crab stir-fry are outstanding. The fried rice and jjambbong are also highly recommended. Especially for Seoul residents, I strongly recommend signing up for the membership.

The food is great for the price. However the service is somewhat poor and there are way too many tables for the space. I would still go again for sure because the price is very reasonable for the flavors you get.

They have a short but good-selected food list.

Service was great. Food was below average especially for the price. We had fried crab in lobster sauce, membosha, beef and scallions, fried rice, seafood soup, spicy prawns and the mapo tofu.
