"Jin Kichi is a favourite around NW3 and once you have dinner at the intimate Japanese izakaya-style spot in Hampstead, you’ll understand why. Whether you’re watching fish being expertly cut at the sushi counter, sizzling skewers rotated around the robata grill, or prefer focusing on each other in an intimate two-person booth—this is a top-tier date night restaurant." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley
"Jin Kichi’s intimate two-person booth is a date night table of dreams. The neighbourhood izakaya-style Japanese spot in Hampstead is a popular restaurant for romances young and old in NW3. With fish being expertly cut at the sushi counter and sizzling skewers being rotated around the robata grill, there’s plenty to fall in love with here. Even if you’re not in that booth, there’s an irresistible excitement around the room that, judging by the regulars, has been around for a few anniversaries." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna
"Holiday feels come in many forms, and a holiday from your own reality, via a trip to one of Kate Moss’ favourite restaurants, is one such example. The Hampstead izakaya is a bustling low-lit den with dates getting into chūtoro tuna at the sushi counter, before settling beside those bedded in at the smoking hot yakitori counter. It’s the kind of restaurant that you can lose hours in very easily, and given the breadth of Jin Kichi’s menu—the gindara black cod (black cod) is also excellent—you’ll soon understand why it’s a favourite among locals and travellers alike." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"Have you got any freetime on any Tuesdays or Wednesdays this month? If the answer is no, then make some. Jin Kichi is probably Hampstead’s best restaurant, and the Japanese spot is offering the EOTHO discount on those days for the next month. It isn’t cheap, but the sashimi, nigiri, and hand rolls are definitely very good." - jake missing
"The Japanese izakaya is one of NW3’s most popular restaurants, even before Kate Moss mentioned it as one of her places. There are a couple fun counters here: one is at the sushi bar, where you can watch excellent sashimi sliced up in front of you, and the other is the yakitori counter. Hisses of smoke come off the robata grill and, sure, your clothes won’t thank you, but it makes for an entertaining evening." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
