Jin Sushi

A cute little quaint sushi place with Hispanic flare. It’s got a laid back feel, an area for kids to play and about 5 tables. If you’re looking for a new neighborhood sushi place this is the one to try. I ordered fried gyoza, spicy shrimp tempura and hot sake. The fried gyoza was delicious, hot and juicy. The sauce was great with it. I got the spicy shrimp tempura and added cream cheese which was good. It came with their signature Miami sauce which was delicious and it was nice to dip the sushi in the gyoza sauce. The hot sake was hot and like your typical hot sake. The service was very good. Kind and patient while I decided. This place IMO is way better than other sunrise sushi places like Summer Cafe etc. Give it a try on your next date night or hangout.

What an amazing restaurant! My girlfriend and I were recommended this place by some friends who live in Sunrise. Our experience was great. The atmosphere was pleasant and intimate. The owners came out to greet us when we arrived. We ordered a few sushi rolls and fried rice. The food exceeded our expectations and the service was fantastic. We’ve gone back almost every time we’re in Sunrise. It’s a local gem.

Delicious! The teriyaki bowl was perfectly balanced. Everything was served hot and beautifully presented in a stylish bowl. Portion size was generous, and the taste exceeded expectations. Highly recommended if you're craving tasty, and well-prepared Asian food! The staff was awesome too!

Very tasty and very fresh sushi! We had the Supreme Dynamite and Super Spicy Tuna Roll and both were fantastic. The owners were very friendly and considerate. Can't wait to go again!

Absolutely loved this sushi spot! The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, and the service was top-notch—super friendly and attentive. It’s a family-owned place, which adds such a warm and welcoming vibe. The special fried rice had a unique taste that really stood out in the best way. I loved the fact that it has pineapple in it! The iced boba tea was so refreshing. What made it even more special is that the owners are Colombian—so proud to support a fellow Colombian doing amazing things! Can’t wait to come back again

We fly down to Florida from NJ for the most interesting, flavorful, fun, innovative sushi around!!! Anytime we are in the area we make sure to stop in and enjoy the mango chicken bites, volcano Caribbean yum yum rolls!!! Anything with the baked crab on top!! You are actually missing out if you skip this family run restaurant!

I searched Yelp to find who made a Mexican cooked sushi roll and found it at Jin's. The reviews were mixed as apparently the business was sold over a year ago. I went in and it's a small, clean place. They had no A/C so there was a fan blowing ( which blew my hair all over the place while I was eating lol) . The owner told me to pick a place to sit and I asked for a water. Apparently you can only get plain or sparkling Fiji water at $ 3+, not regular water. I asked for the Mexican roll ( shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, with spicy mayo and black sesame seeds) with the spicy mayo on the side. On the website they had a Boston Roll ( shrimp, cucumber, avocado and romaine lettuce. ) but he said he found no longer get the shrimp??. Not sure why- it's pretty basic. The roll was ok. Fresh but no flavor unless drenched in wasabi , soy sauce and ginger. Even the spicy mayo was a bit bland. I liked the place but don't think is I'd return. The cost for the one roll was $13 and water came to $17 plus tip was $21. I just know for almost the same cost I could go to an AUCE buffet.

Been coming here for years. The sushi is always good and fresh. The workers there are also very kind. The restaurant is small with a few tables if you'd like to dine in.

The latin fusion rolls are soo good, the chimichurri salmon is one of a kind and i like the coco roll. Service was a little slow but thats because they get BUSY so just come either way patience in mind. The shop itself had a nice forest mural that really does up the ambiance of the location.

Unfortunately the new owners have changed a few things. Not the same place it was just a year ago. I ordered food online was charged extra and didn't receive my food that I got charged. Very disappointing because I used to love this place. Order# 1876468804, ordered chicken and shrimp in my teriyaki dinner was charged for it never got the shrimp or a refund

I had to update my review. The old owners must have sold to new owners because taste definitely changed. I feel the rolls are missing something and can be rather tasteless. I did give them grace with new ownership and tried them a 2nd time after a few months but my husband and I had to find a new sushi place. It's just not the same...

Ordered Platter C for the Super Bowl and really took a chance, having never eaten at Jin Sushi. It was FABULOUS! So fresh and delicious. Everyone loved it!

Two thing I do with any sushi restaurant to determine if I like them or not. Order a basic roll and a specialty roll. This plays delivers on taste every time. My favorite signature rolls here (they have a good variety of them). My personal favorite is the Supreme Dynamite Roll, it's composed of shrimp tempura, avocado, baked conch and crab with eel sauce. This roll is filled with flavors and if you do like a little sweeter rolls this one is definitely the one for you. For my standard roll it's the JB roll that is my personal go to and it tastes just as fresh as the best ones I've ever had. Things to note, this location is tucked away in the corner of the plaza close to YouFit. * Currently doesn't do dine-ins. (pick up and delivery only) * Closed on Mondays * During the week opens at 5pm * Weekends at 3pm This is of course due to the pandemic, but I strongly encourage supporting these mom and pops shops that you love to bring in more customers to their stores. Definitely top 3 sushi spots in Sunrise.

So I've been an avid patron of this restaurant for years! What I loved most about it, was that it was a mom & pop type of establishment. I came so much that they knew who I was based off the order that I called in. The food was consistently great and excellent quality of products. My friends would always request it when they would visit me from Miami or palm beach county. Now I'm not sure if they went under different management but my last two occasions the food looks completely different and the quality is not consistent. I will show a picture of the supreme dynamite roll from before and how I get them now. I hope it's not true that they are under different management because they were such a staple in one of my go to restaurants for take out. Now I have to find a new place to dine at.

Best Ton Katsu Ramen soup in the area.... I was greeted when I entered the business and encouraged to choose the table I preferred... Had dumplings for appetizer that were delicious!! Great atmosphere ... Definitely coming back for more ...

Best sushi restaurant! I love home made sushi, and if you ate looking for flavor, this is the right place. I would recommend this place one million times! The service is also very nice, and the ambiance is cozy and welcoming.

My wife and my daughter were in the mood for sushi but one of our favorite spots was closed for lunch due to a big catering order. Upon looking for another spot, we saw this place with good reviews. We stopped by and were greeted with a friendly server who recommended the calamari as an appetizer and WOW. Some of the best we've ever had. The sushi we had was absolutely incredible. You can genuinely taste the freshness of the fish and the ingredients. We can't wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !

This just isn't good food. I don't like leaving not good reviews but this just isn't good sushi and it falls apart the second you pickup it up with a chopstick. I would go to other places before I came here again.

The owners and staff are extremely polite and attentive :) The sushi was perfect - with al dente rice and fresh fish. The fried rice was also very hearty and flavorful. You have to try the coconut lemonade!

From the moment I stepped in, I ordered a hot sake and a beer. The beer was piss warm and the sake was burning hot, took one sip and left. Didn't even bother ordering the food . Already too many red flags, went to the next sushi joint (Marumi Sushi) which was a completely 180. I definitely do not recommend this place, I also did not see one Japanese sushi chef in the whole joint. Very disappointing, go to Marumi Sushi for a more authentic experience.

So me and my gf have been coming here for a few years now when the original owner decided to sell the place to a new couple I new right away the food was also gonna change and it has, a lot. It went from a 5* place to about a 3* place it's still decent but it'll never be the same so we gave it a try with new owner about 3-4x and it's meh we went from coming here weekly on the weekends to maybe once a month but like I said the food is okay most of the time. I miss the original owners tho...

My 1st time and will go back! Haven't had any luck finding sushi with a healthy portion of eel. I found it! I had already started to eat, so don't judge the pics. Salmon appetizer and steamed shumai (not in pics) both very good as well.

I went to Jin Sushi for lunch with a friend. The establishment is very clean, the server was polite and friendly. Jin Sushi is a small establishment with decent seating. They have a lunch special menu, as well as a sushi lunch special menu. I ordered the 4 pieces of sashimi and you get 1 special roll - I got the JB. Service was quick and the sushi tasted ok. They didn't offer sauces or anything so it tasted a little bland. Nothing spectacular about Jin Sushi but it is close to my job and I would come here again if I was in a time crunch.

This place is a hidden gem! My friend and I were trying to have sushi down the street, and our experience started off not so great so we ended up leaving. We were dying for some sushi and stumbled upon Jin Sushi which wasn't far from where we were. The location is small and quaint. I ended up ordering the super spicy tuna roll with cream cheese, and the tropical special roll which is a delicious specialty tuna roll topped with mango. My friend had the tropical roll also and a bowl of their soup which had gyoza dumplings in it. We absolutely loved the food! I get my sushi rolls made in rice or soy paper, and I find that completely changes the taste for the better. This has officially become our work day lunch date spot! I can't wait to bring my husband here!

One of my favorite restaurants, I love the ice tea, excellent service, Luisa and Felipe are very attentive and helpful. The food is delicious and desserts are amazing. This place has almost become my second home, I love eating and sharing with my friends and husband here. super recommended 100%

From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, the positive vibrations are felt. A warm welcoming atmosphere. It's a very small sushi spot, seat capacity is 40. The owners greeted us right away with a welcoming smile. I went on a Sunday around 5 so it was nice and empty. For starters I got the Fried Gyoza and Spring Rolls. My girl got the Steamed Gyoza. Very traditional appetizers that didn't disappoint. They don't have an extensive drink menu but they definitely have Sake. The Pomegranate Sake was very sweet, almost didn't taste like wine at all so it was perfect. Call me strange but I took a shot of the Sake and put it in a cup full of Sprite and it was like heaven. For my Entree I got the Shrimp Tempura and Lobster Tempura Rolls. I know that these are some of the most basic rolls but they were just so good. Just the perfect amount of cream cheese and eel sauce in every bite. Also, the eel sauce that they use is kinda think, it's almost like honey. My friend got the Spicy Shrimp Tempura and he Shrimp Stalker Roll. The Stalker Roll is really good. And my girl got the Tropical Special Roll. For someone who claims she doesn't like sushi, my girl ate every bit to my surprise. I believe it was the combination of the tuna, cream cheese and fruit on top. Last but certainly not least was the dessert. I most definitely got the fried cheesecake. They give you three pieces and three scoops of ice cream. It's almost too much to consume. I had to share. I like the Tempura batter that they use because it's light and not to overwhelming. My girl got the donuts and they were just ok. I say just ok because the peanuts that they are served with are almost whole and hey give a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk. Other than that, it's pretty much a perfect sushi spot that I recommend to everyone. I will say this final remark. If your are going to order via Postmates, GrubHub etc the yours then be patient because they get a ton of orders.

Yesterday evening my hubby spoiled me with a sushi boat takeout for from Jin Sushi in Sunshine. It's such a cute ma and pa restaurant that also specializes in really tasty fruit infused sushi rolls. The fresh fish and rice are always the highest quality. I could just literally eat a bowl of their sushi rice alone, that's when you know it's good sushi. It's not only about the fish since you need that perfect flavor balance. So yeah, buy her a boat for Mothers Day ;)

Fantastic food the only weird thing/complaint I would have is an Asian restaurant sensor invoicing in Spanish. Other than that this place is phenomenal 11 out of 10 would recommend.

Amazing food and recommend this place to everyone! This is a hidden hole in the wall and it is worth a stop/try. Not just that but I found the place is really clean which is something that I look for when eating sushi. The service is also great which was a + to the cleanliness and the amazing food. 10/10 give it a try.

New owners apparently, and the food no longer looks or tastes like it used to. Less fish on cooked sushi, rice plain, not seasoned on raw sushi. The old Jin Sushi is gone.

This Small, quaint and cozy location with soft soothing music offers surprisingly fresh sushi (both raw and cooked). This hidden gem needs to be on every Plantation/Sunrise residents sushi list. They do offer takeout and delivery as well. We had the Magic, Jin, Dragon and Spicy tuna rolls. Our favorites were the Jin & Magic roll! The Gyozo soup was SO Good as well! Enjoy! Thank me later!

Customer centric, knowledgeable pleasant and patient. The food is good, but the customer experience is really what pushes them in a league of their own. At no point did it feel like it was bother to get assistance- tailored experience for each customer. Definitely recommend! Go for the food, stay for the experience

Small, no frills family run sushi spot. Staff was very friendly, the menu is small and inexpensive. Since I no longer eat fish I ordered the Special 2 roll lunch special which consists of Miso soup or ginger salad and your choice of roll. I had the ginger salad and the Veggie roll with brown rice. The ginger dressing was just ok and a bit runny, I have had much better, but the veggie rolls were delicious, packed with fresh veggies, I very much enjoyed them. Some of my friends who ordered regular rolls said it was very good, some did say that it wasn't top notch but it is very good for value and the food was very fresh. The restaurant is small and clean, nice ambiance. Food - 3.5 Value - 5 Service - 5

I'm always on the lookout for places with things I haven't tried, or that do things I have tried in a manner different from the norm. Well Jin Sushi definitely met these requirements head on. With one of its best features being that they are so close to me. I LOVE SUSHI!!! And Jin delivered spectacularly with the usual fare in a friendly, intimate atmosphere. The sashimi was melt in your mouth fresh, the nigiri rice was tasty and sticky, the sake was warm and the beers were ice cold. But they still had something special up their sleeves; their signature rolls. We tried the Tropical Special Roll & the Kiwi Lobster Roll. It's hard to fully describe as they were unlike any roll I had eaten before. The sweetness and tanginess from the fruit, the creaminess of the roll, the freshness of the seafood, provided the perfect mixture of delicious. As we sat back to relax after the masterpiece, the friendly and attentive staff suggested dessert. I skimmed through the menu and decided on the tempura cheesecake, which came with ice cream and chocolate syrup. Try it!!! You won't regret it!!! I will most assuredly be back for more.

It was raining and we wanted to stay 'local' so we ate at Jin Sushi - a restaurant worth the trip! The restaurant is small but they set it up so that people at each table can feel a sense of privacy. There were many orders prepared for pick up but even so we didn't wait long for our food. We ordered a Miami Salad - a great blend of chunks of fresh fruit and sashimi, with a garnish of sesame oil spiked seaweed salad. It was refreshing and delicious. We also ordered the Tropical Special roll and Sunshine State roll. Both rolls were studded with creamy, fresh fish and either sweet fruit or chilled veggies. I wish there was a bit less cream cheese in the Tropical Special roll but even so, it tasted great. We ordered Pad Thai, which was a rice noodle dish with small shrimp, scrambled egg, a couple of peanuts, and slices of onions and peppers. The sauce was not a traditional Pad Thai sauce but instead a rich brown gravy. So while it tasted good, it should be renamed something like 'rice noodles with brown gravy'. For dessert we ordered the glazed donuts with peanuts. The plate of warm, oblong dough balls had a condensed milk glaze over the line of donuts. A garnish of chopped salted peanuts provided a texture and taste difference from the soft, sweet dough pillows. They were so good that we finished the food before the donuts cooled! Overall, the food is a hit and the service is stellar. We won't wait for rain as an excuse to stay local -Jin Sushi is now a destination for us, rain or shine!

This has been my go to spot for Japanese during the pandemic. Last time i tried the Miso ramen and it was warm, hearty and flavorful . The sushi is always fresh and priced reasonably compared to some other places in the area. They have curbside pick Up which has been so convenient during this time.

Small quaint place, but great sushi. Stopped in for lunch this week and thought I would give it a try since I was on that side of town. The lunch prices are great. The selection for the lunch rolls is not that diverse, so if you are looking for options, it's not the best. The special rolls, however are still available for purchase and regular price. My date got the chicken teriyaki bento box. Good size portion for lunch and came out really hot. Yum! It's a good place for some classic rolls and good service so if you are In Sunrise and in the mood for some good, fresh sushi I would definitely recommend!

In love with the Volcano sushi and the Jb tempura, the super fresh and delicious food and the maximum attention

Jin Sushi is my favorite go to sushi place. I order from them at least 2/3 times a month on a weekend night when I'm staying in. Normally you really cant mess up sushi because most of the rolls are very straight forward but I go here especially for their "own" rolls. The Supreme Dynamite roll is a killer with the baked conch, crab and eel sauce on top. Just fell in love recently with the Super Duper roll and my other go to is the tropical roll. They don't have this roll on their menu but its a tuna based roll w/ cucumber, avocado and cream cheese but they top it with mango. The flavors are ridiculous put together! Ive also had their tuna tartar and Udon noodles with chicken, which was very juicy filled and lots of veggies! I always end the night with a Mochi ice cream and the pricing isnt bad either. They are so pleasant to speak to, never rush you off the phone and really go into details about their food. They take pride and its very hard to find a sushi place with 4/5 stars who's constant. Love them, highly recommended!

This restaurant is simply amazing. I recommend the Tropical Special Roll and Dancing Eel Roll. The service is awesome. You'll feel like in home!

I cannot say enough good things about Jin Sushi. I have been going to this location for years and it is always delicious. The service is great and the restaurant is clean and comfy. I have never had a bad roll there and the appetizers and kitchen items are also yummy. The ginger salad dressing is amazing! Great lunch specials too. They take orders online or by phone and deliver as well.

Don't know if it was the day or hour or what it was but we're not going back to this place. Dynamite roll no-no...the white fish seemed like it was tuna from a can. The prices weren't too bad but the food wasn't all that. The service was great. The lady there who was there I think is one of the owners, was very nice but we'll have to pass on this place for next time. Too many other better options close by and if you don't know now you know.

Let me preface this review by stating I am not one of those people who is rude to waitstaff at restaurants or is even particularly picky when going out to eat. That said I have never seen a dumber service model at a restaurant and I would honestly never eat in here again and I do not understand why anyone does. We arrived at 8 pm and the place was full (about 5 tables ). Within a few minutes the bar was full with 4 people and everyone got their order taken by the lone waiter before us. We didn't get our order taken until 8:30 and it took another 10 minutes after that to even get water. Water! We ordered a cooked dish for the kids and sushi rolls for us. It's now 9:15 and our rolls haven't arrived and the kids are done eating. And you know how slowly kids eat. The waiter has not been by once to apologize or offer us an ETA on our dinner or anything. The food looks good from what I can see and my kids enjoyed the pad Thai but there is no way in hell I would ever come back here. ETA: when our food eventually arrived the waiter did apologize for the wait saying that the kitchen was backed up. However we never saw him again. He didn't clear our kids plates or ask how the food was or fill up our water glasses (which were all empty). We had to flag him down for the check too. I honestly do not get the stellar reviews here. I don't think I've ever had such bad service anywhere.

This is place is so under-rated. I've been dining here for the past 5 years. A small sushi restaurant on the edge of a strip mall that is sure to please. One thing I admire about this place is the uniqueness of their sushi menu. I've had rolls here that I've never seen or heard of before. I swear I feel like they know exactly what I want in a sushi roll. My favs include the American Dream, Surprise, Volcano, and the Supreme Dynamite. I also get the spicy seafood soup if I'm feeling alittle under the weather. The staff is friendly and over the years we've established a good relationship with them. Great people and great food. Something also cool that they offer is fruit sushi I haven't tried it yet but it's sounds cool to me. Anyway, if you're in the mood for sushi and it's nearby on Yelp, don't hesitate.

I yelped a random sushi place because I was craving sushi near my house. This place fulfilled my craving. There were two people working and it got very busy at times, I wish there was maybe one other person working the front. They worked diligently though and I appreciated them. I ordered hot tea and a spicy shrimp tempura roll and a dragon roll. Both were delicious. The tea had a chalky weird after taste. We received our checks promptly and were asked multiple times if we were doing okay. I was very pleased with the food. I will definitely be coming back here for some quick light sushi.

Great local sushi place! Definitely a simple, no frills, mom and pop restaurant but they have a huge menu full of sushi and various Japanese dishes! I started off with a miso soup since it was a rainy day. Soup is a comfort food for me and this definitely hit the spot. The only thing I didn't like was that the waitress heated it up in the microwave. Not impressed with that, but the soup was still pretty good and tasted fresh. I assume since I was the only one dining in they didn't have an order ready to go. When I visit new restaurants I always make a habit of asking the server or chef what their favorite thing on the menu is. The server told me that the Tataki appetizer was her favorite and one of their most popular dishes! Sold! It's a seared tuna (or salmon) filet sliced very thin served in a bowl of super yummy spicy ponzu sauce. The chef recommended the tuna today so that's what I got! It was absolutely delicious and there presentation was enticing! The tuna was perfectly seared and the spicy ponzu sauce with scallions and sesame seeds was a great accent sauce to the fresh fish! Even though it was so simple, this is probably one of the best sushi appetizers I've ever had. I really really love tuna so I also ordered a Tuna Stalker roll as well. It's spicy tuna, cucumber, more tuna, fish eggs and eel sauce. Simple but delicious! The eel sauce was great on this roll! I left very full and happy. Their sushi is fresh and even though it's not the "fanciest" of places, it's super clean and their staff is very friendly! Highly recommend a stop in. I'll surely be back for more sushi very soon!

Disappointed given all the great reviews. Maybe it was just what I ordered (spicy tuna, Mexican, and dragon rolls), but the sushi was very, very bland. Even the miso soup was just okay, which is very unusual because I've never had a bad miso before. Staff was very friendly though, and my order was ready right on time.

If you are looking for good sushi and a pleasant service - this is the place to go. The ambiance is laid back and serene with an interesting selection of background music, such as bosa nova remixes of 80's pop songs. Unusual yet charming.. The spicy tuna roll I tried was amazing especially the one with the tempura flakes. Great plus - you can get your rolls with brown rice!! You must try the mochi ice cream in green tea. I have never had mochi ice cream before but now I am hooked. This is one of those places you want to go back to each week. Great service, yummy food and reasonable prices.

I'm a small business owner myself and know how important it is for positive reviews that are real and meaningful. Not only is this sushi the freshest that I've ever tasted(no exaggeration)! It's prepared and operated by the owners Jin and Sung! They stand behind their quality! Try the Tuna Tataki and Osaka Special( from old owners) The best ponzu sauce in the country! I've tried ever sushi restaurant in broward and dade county! From upscale to neighborhood! This place is a real jewel! And once you try you will be hooked! I'm in love with these two ! The place is quaint and simple! No bells and whistles! Just quality service, great sushi, and an no BS!

Wow, really impressed! Found Jin Sushi through Yelp and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is small and cozy, but with a bright, authentic Japanese feel to it. My sister and I ordered four rolls (kiwi lobster, crunch tuna sashimi, supreme dynamite, and hawaiian special) and they were all delicious! Such unique flavors and textures that I'll probably be dreaming of tonight. Portions aren't too big, but they were brought out promptly and the prices are very fair. Almost all of the full rolls are less than $12! A roll with lobster for $11? Yes, please! As other Yelp users have said, the owner is so sweet and adorable that she made our experience even better. She recognized that we were first-timers without me even saying anything and gave us some recommendations. I'll definitely be back to try more items next time I'm in the area.

I absolutely LOVE Jin Sushi! I go there weekly because they are so worth it. There was not one time I had any negative thoughts about it. The owners are very welcoming. The staff is nice. It is a very tiny place but even if you have to wait it's worth it. You won't be disappointed.
