I wanted to like the food here more than I did. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was lowkey. We ordered the Jinbei salad, edamame, gyoza, and the Alaskan, Yum Yum, and California rolls. I liked the ginger dressing on the salad initially but soon realized that it has a salty aftertaste, so it was hard to finish it. The edamame was prepared simply and was good. The gyoza wasn't a favorite. It was fried at a high temperate, so the outside was a bit overcooked and the inside was only mildly warm. It didn't taste bad at all. I just wanted it to be prepared a little better. The sushi rolls were underwhelming. I love sushi and was hoping for something more flavorful than what we got. Nothing we ordered was outright bad, but we didn't order as much sushi as we normally do because it was just...fine. I don't think I'd visit again.

Google
Chic Sushi spot in a bustling Peachtree Corners neighborhood. Let's start with the good. Friendly service, nice outdoor patio seating, and creative drink menu. Why I only gave this spot 3 stars was purely on my meal selection. I ordered the lobster roll special. The presentation was stunning but the execution left much to be desired. I would have loved to have seen the lobster more integrated into the roll. I ended up scrapping the sushi roll due to the imitation crab meat. Again, not their fault it was something I overlooked in the menu description. But the pairing of lobster with imitation crab meat was just off putting to me. Ending on a positive note...this place would be worth a 2nd visit. I just would not order sushi.

The restaurant has a minimalist style which follows perfectly with Japanese culture. We were quickly seated by a kind waitress who gave plenty of information about the menu, their specials, and her recommendations. She was super nice especially when my order took a while to come out. It was nice that she kept updating me on when my food would be ready. Though I'd be lying if it didn't upset me that it took a bit to come out, it helped that she let me know what the issue was. Now for the food, it tasted good but not the greatest I've had better ramen at a separate restaurant with a better portion size. This restaurant is located in a nice area with plenty of other shops and restaurants to explore. This is a good place for a casual meetup with it's simplistic, elegant, and open space as well as great staff.

Amazing sushi! Best sushi I've had in a very long time. Tasty ramen also. Cool cocktails. They were out of a couple things we wanted, but overall my daughter and I joked that it might be worth a super long drive just to have it again. We were on a trip this weekend but will definitely visit this place again when we're back in Atlanta area.

Wow! I’m impressed. I was here on Friday after with my cousins for a quick sushi date and we were so impressed! This restaurant has been on my list for a few months, as they opened recently and did not disappoint. The ambiance is very intimate and sleek and our server was phenomenal! They were actually filming a tv show and we got to give some cool feedback and be included. We started with the seaweed salad, yellowtail and Korean fried chicken. Everything was amazing and flavorful, no complaints. The yellowtail that I was looking for with the sauce topped with jalapeño is actually hamachi, which we ended up ordering later. We then proceeded to order the crispy tuna, 2 Godzilla rolls and desserts (the crème brûlée and the mango cheesecake). The mango cheesecake wasn’t as sweet as I’d imagined, definitely more on the bland side but the glaze made up for it. Otherwise, no complaints and I’ll absolutely be returning! The prices are also moderate.

Great Korean fried chicken, tasty ramen, and a delicious miso cod with rice. I also added a side of steamed vegetables for just $3! They also have outdoor seating, perfect if you have pets or want to enjoy the weather when the weather is nice.

Google
Hidden gen in the neighborhood! Went on a Monday evening around 7pm and the restaurant was nearly full! Lots of young people. The karaage wasn't the best we ever had, but it was okay. All other food we had were great and the portions were generous. They have uni (sea urchin)! Which is a rare-ish find in the ATL area. $16 for 2 pieces. The servers were very friendly and professional. We will definitely recommend Jinbei West to anyone and look forward to revisit to try out more food!

Google
Fantastic. Wondeful sushi!! First time visiting and totally happy. Will come back for sure. The tuna tartare was wonderful and the roll I got was the kamikaze. So delicious with a little spice kick. The soju was delicious as well. A little more pricy per roll here but I think it’s worth it. My waitress was top notch. Not busy at lunch at all.

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. The firecracker sushi tasted so delicious I regret not ordering more rolls. Small but cute place. Great for a quick bite. I was greeted at the door with a friendly smile. I will definitely be back !!

Yelp
My go-to sushi place. Customer service here is amazing, the servers here recognize me and know my usual order because I come so often! Love the godzilla roll but everything on the menu is amazing and always plated beautifully. Sushi is so good that I never need soy sauce, it's flavorful on its own. The naruto ramen is also great, as is the matcha crème brûlée, takoyaki, and creamy rock shrimp. It's also a cute little place and never too loud, a good playlist of music in the background, and has outside seating when it's nice out. I like that you can substitute soy paper for seaweed in the rolls as well!

Yelp
I have tried to eat at this establishment twice. Both times they were not open during their business hours they have posted on all websites and even the restaurant door. Tried calling and even messaging on Instagram with no response. Some type of messaging would be nice!

Yelp
Review is based on a takeout order. I had the Naruto ramen and shared the salmon carpaccio. Ramen is typically best consumed at the restaurant, but this was pretty good. While the broth was not as rich as other ramens, the meat had good flavor. The soft boiled egg was perfect. While I generally enjoyed the salmon carpaccio, I probably won't order it again. I would get something else from the sushi menu.

Yelp
I live fairly close to the forum and Jinbei has always been my go to spot. I've been there when they just opened, closing etc. This place is consistent, food quality is pretty high, wait time isn't crazy and considering it's not a super high end restaurant. Their ramen portions are nearly perfect, they don't overdue it with vegetables, broth, and the meat to noodle ratio is right where you want it to be. In my opinion the duck ramen is the best in comparison to the others. The sushi is very good, I wished they didn't tweak the menu because they had the special nigiri which had more of a favorable twist, close to Nori Fish level of quality. All in all, this place is super underrated. It has quality ramen, sushi and rice bowls(wagyu fried rice is my favorite). It has it all. Only con: the ambiance is amazing but it's missing the inviting feeling and engagement. It doesn't feel like the restaurant to its quality.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the food. The restaurant is on the nicer end. The ambiance and price point gives more date night/out-on-the-town vibes than dinner with family. At the same time, I was there with my toddlers and there was a family with toddlers sitting across from us too lol. So, family night, date night... they both work here, which is great. The food was good. I enjoyed the katsu curry. The ramen here is less broth-y, more food-y than others. I would've been fine had I not gotten the extra noodles. If I was at the Forum and wanted ramen, this is the go to spot. It definitely adds to the glamour and diversity of the plaza, which is why this place is so awesome!

Paula F.

Yelp
I would not be writing a review a year ago when this place was worth the price but, unfortunately, consistency is something that they don't take in consideration at all in order to keep up with quality and loyal customers. Don't waste your money and time at Jinbei unless you want to pay high price for bad quality food. What a disappointment!

Yelp
**Takeout Review** Knowing Jinbei West was around the corner and I always wanted to try, we came here for a takeout order since we were feeling lazy and not wanting to cook. So what did we get? I got the curry katsu ramen and I shared a Salmon Carpaccio for an appetizer. The katsu ramen was alright, but if I come back the salmon Carpaccio is definitely not going to happen because $14 for 6 thinly sliced pieces to me just doesn't cut it. I know there's inflation, but yeah I don't think it's worth it. The curry katsu ramen was tasty. I do think though that the protein and noodles should be separate, just because it loses all the crunch but that's besides the point. I thought it was very tasty and overall was a good experience taking out. I ordered online, and when I got there it was all packed and ready to go. If you're looking for takeout, Jinbei West is a solid choice.

Yelp
5-star Korean fried chicken. 3-star ramen. Jinbei West's menu is an array of choice along the broader Korean-Japanese fusion (think bulgogi don). It's nice to see these flavors complement, but the selection is crazy big. The good thing about it is that it'll suit a range of tastes. I've had curry ramen and curry udon so I was pretty happy to see katsu curry ramen. I had to ask the server if I ordered the right thing since I'm used to curry being a much thicker consistency. She said it was so I went with it. The katsu was A+ but not the rest. It was just okay. The thing that really stands out is the Korean fried chicken. It's double-fried to absolute perfection. The gochujang glaze is sweet and lightly spicy. I'm daydreaming about it writing this. Takes about 20-25 minutes to come out. You've been warned. I had the Jinbei West cocktail. If you like something super sweet, like a non-frozen slushie, this is for you. Otherwise, it was over-the-top sweet for me... but still a nice departure from my usual. Our server, Zoe, is awesome. Ask for her. She's a "vegetarian" though so don't expect any meat suggestions.

Yelp
Not a fan. It's just ok. Ramen bowls are quite small when compared to what you see in pictures. The taste was also not what I expected from Jinbei. The noodles tasted very generic? The gyoza comes aaa steamed or fried at your request. This is a bit of a difficult choice. When Japanese think steamed, it's top steamed and fried crunchy bottom. So not sure what they mean by fried here. Streamed in this case is Sui-Gyoza. Very different. Wasn't that great regardless. The Karaage, another staple of Japanese style fried chicken, not great either. Lastly, they post 11am opening time on their door, but don't actually open till 12pm, sometimes. Couldn't even get a straight answer from server. From a "Japanese" point of view, I'd probably try other things here. Korean Fried Chicken seems to be a good bet, but I'm going to be hard pressed to come back here when there are plenty of other better and cheaper options near me.

Yelp
Very disappointed, bad Coustomer service, I walked in with my service animal and was kicked out by the manager/owner "Mike". This guy was rude and not polite. He didn't want to see my credentials for the service dog. It is against the law to refuse entry to patrons with a service animal.

Yelp
I was little skeptical since Jinbei had too many specialities between ramen, sushi, and K.F.C. that I thought it would be underwhelming. You know, simple is always best and sometimes trying to do too much sets you off for failure but this place does it all. Granted I didn't try the fried chicken this time, ramen and rolls were decent! I was told that the Naruto ramen had a bit of kick but while I didn't taste this, the chasu were good and the broth had depth. On top of it all, noodle texture was on pointe. For rolls, some were on par while the Kamikaze was outstanding. Would definitely come back for this and alike. One of my other favorites was the lobster toban. It had great presentation and flavor. It's buttery good and highly recommend it! Some of the drawbacks were that I thought the place was a tad small and I felt little claustrophobic. Also, while our server was friendly, there was some mishap on the ordering and the check. Suggest that the service gets little tightened but understand that they're still pretty new. Oh but the worst was the uni shot. I thought it would be like One Sushi's yellowtail shot in a pretty presentation with dab of sauce but it was a literal soy sauce drink. Would not recommend this. Overall, left satisfied and will be back! Glad that there's a solid spot in the Peachtree Town Center now. Little bit of background on Jinbei West is that it's a sister restaurant to Yakitori Jinbei in Smyrna.

Haibo Q.

Yelp
This is the worst sushi place! Ordered the traditional nigiri and extra sushi pieces. Two pieces of the fish nigiri had bones. The sushi rice was cold and stiff. The shrimp nigiri had a chemical taste to it. The light sodium soy sauce tasted very salty. Also tried their rice bowl. Not authentic but more edible than the sushi. The entire order took a long time to arrive. Avoid this restaurant!

Justin G.

Yelp
This place is terrible. I don't mind paying a premium for good, quality food and service. You pay a premium here and get neither. See picture for $48 dollars worth of nigiri. Extremely poor fish. Albacore nigiri was not raw, was not seared, but cooked all the way thru because it was so thin. Tuna was fishy and pitiful. To top it off restaurant canceled an entree on our order and didn't replace it with anything. Somebody didn't get dinner. Go anywhere but here.

Yelp
Takeout order :: Food took a long time to come out and it was okay but not great, there are a lot of better sushi places around town for my money

Yelp
Ambiance, service and foo was all very good But the outstanding item that stand out was the chicken. I usually don't like saucy chucked but this was outrageously good. Sweet and tangy and still crispy and tasty.

Yelp
Went here bc of the amazing reviews but maybe management has changed? First let me start by saying that I did a Togo order, but I did come into the restaurant to use the restroom and get my food. When I placed my phone order, I had to go through 8 items before placing my order bc all the items I asked for were either out for the day or no longer being served in house (as in no longer on the menu). I got the karage chicken and a salmon roll. The chicken was NOT CRISPY at all and didn't even really seem to have a fluffy batter which is the whole point of karage chicken. The salmon roll was mediocre at best. Even tho it had all these other ingredients it didn't taste like much. I probably won't be back. The inside of the restaurant is very modern and clean, with lots of seating and a sushi bar so you can see the chefs rolling sushi which is pretty cool. But there are too many other amazing places to the get the same food for me to go back.

Yelp
First of all, our server was so nice. They put together tables for us and checked in often. The ambience of this place is very modern and fresh. So it's there plating. Very clean. The music was a bit loud for chatting. There isn't too much seating here as the restaurant has a bar and a strip of tables. The food was mixed for us. We tried the tonkotsu and curry katsu ramen. The bowls for around $17-18. We liked the chewy noodles and the serving size was good. Some other reviews mentioned it was small but it is the shape of the bowls. The katsu was a bit overcooked/no crunchy airy breading. The chasu in the tonkotsu was a thick slices and in a sweet glaze which I would have preferred without. We thought the curry katsu broth was a bit salty. The kamikaze sushi was probably my favorite dish. Fresh and tasty but it was $18 for what felt like a smaller roll compared to other places with similar rolls. The karaage appetizer was also underwhelming. It lacked a crunchy airy texture and felt a bit plain. The ramen and karaage were 3/5 stars but the sushi was 5/5. Overall, I enjoyed the sushi the most.

Yelp
I had their black cod last time, and it brought me back here today! It's still as good as the first time I had it! The black cod was just unbelievable well seasoned, fresh and I really enjoyed the fat part of the fish. So delicious! Today I also tried their nigiri and sashimi platter as appetizer, there were chef's selections 4 nigiri and 6 sashimi. It looked expansive for $45/plate, but they were very fresh and I can't complain. I finished my lunch with the green tea ice cream. It was nothing special than the ice cream from other places in my opinion, but it was definite a good dessert to have after a fishy entree. Lol I loved everything I had today. Definitely will come back for the black cod again and try other things on their menu!

Yelp
I'm hardly on Yelp anymore, so if you see any review from me it's either really good or...the opposite. Thankfully Jinbei West was emphatically the former. We ordered the Peachtree corners maki roll which comprised of yellow tail tuna, avocado, a nice light ponzu, with just enough jalapeño to provide a slight crunch and tickle on the palate. The quality of the fish was atypically on point- very smooth and no sinews gumming up your bites. The roll was both well conceived and well executed so that the fish is the main character, not the other elements. The bulgogi bento box was solid, and it came with 4 pieces of California roll, a simple salad green mix with a nice sesame based dressing that tasted like it was made in house, and miso soup. The meat portion was slightly on the smaller side, but still adequate. My expectations for ramen here in Atlanta at large are decidedly...not high. However, the tonkotsu ramen (made with both pork and chicken) was a standout! Perfectly seasoned so that you want to drink every drop out of your bowl, and not so rich so that you actually can do so without feeling like you're going to fall asleep in the next half or after eating. The half boiled eggs were perfectly executed and marinated the right amount, and there was plenty of bamboo to accompany the two thicker slices of chashu that were perfectly charred/caramelized. If i were to use two words to describe the food at this place, it would be "understated excellence ". And that's meant in a completely complimentary way. This is really good food. If your palate appreciates nuance, you'll like it here. Don't look for flaming and creamy excesses of unnecessary flavor- you won't find that here. The service was competent, although our waitress needed to slow down just a bit when explaining the bento specials. The ambiance is decidedly more hip than this father of three young children, and would be a good date night/lunch spot. Seating mostly suited for two to up to four people per table, with some sushi bar seating. Prices are on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Along with Rakkan Ramen just up the road in Johns creek, Jinbei West is yet another excellent Japanese ramen/sushi joint that will hopefully stick around for the long term!

Yelp
New Japanese/Korean restaurant located @ Peachtree Corners Town Center so def a great location!! The restaurant is a tad bit small tho. For someone like me who needs a lot of space when I eat LOL. Victor, our server, was attentive & kept on coming back to check on us. Really enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) as it was super crispy on the outside & super tasty, not to mention hugeeee portion!! Lol I'd def come back for the Kamikaze Roll, it was so flavorful!! The Naruto Ramen was a bit lacking IMO & the broth wasn't even hot. I do want to come back to try their Omakase tho!!

David D.

Yelp
The service was extremely well from the staff and waiter. However, the food was just bland. I definitely won't be coming back. I ordered (Guy Fieri's) Katsu Curry Ramen. Soon as I took a bite into the ramen dish, I could tell that all the ingredients came from Walmart. Whomever that was in the kitchen that cooked my dish obtain a Maruchan Chicken Ramen Noodle Packet, noodles from the packet, and mixed it with some great value curry seasoning from the spice aisle. If I wanted to experiment in the kitchen myself at home I would otherwise I wasted my time eating food that's distasteful. To each is their own.

Yelp
After hearing great reviews about this place, my husband and I decided to try it for a date night. It's a very small space located in the Peachtree corners area. We had their lobster Taban, 8-piece signature nigiri, and 12-piece sashimi. The fish quality was fresh but a bit pricey for the area. I'll be back to try other sushi rolls.
google avatar

Weiyan L.

Yelp
I ordered sea urchin nigiri $17. The rice was really hard. It tasted like over-night rice. Definitely not fresh rice. Sea urchin part was alright. It was dark colored, small portioned, doesn't have the sweetness that fresh sea urchin has. Sashimi sampler $19. It has 6 pieces. Average rating. Nothing surprising. Total for these is $38.16 after tax. I think it's overpriced for such small portions of food.

Mark P.

Yelp
Nice place... food needs to be better... staff needs to be friendlier... with so many sushi spots nowadays you gotta do better!!!

Yelp
Delicious! I had the lobster and also ordered edamame and broccoli. I will definitely return. Fabulous and friendly service!

Yelp
Great consistent food, good service and nice atmosphere. Lots of choices, Ramen, sushi etc.

Yelp
Reviewer G P. , how do you expect restaurant staff to discipline another's child? Do not attempt to make up a story by saying the experience of many were ruined by "poorly trained staff". People should discipline their own children, don't blame staff for that.

Yelp
i've been here twice in a week. They've been open for about 4 to 5 weeks and is the sister restaurant to another place out in Smyrna. It's located in a wonderful area. The restaurant is a little small but they use our space well. They have a bar and some tables as well. I suspect they will need reservations in the near future as they have been getting a little busy. There is a huge parking area but I will take you a couple minutes to find parking and walk to the restaurant. It's free parking and there's tons of other restaurants in the movie theater nearby. It's a really cute place to bring family or friends. I initially eat here with one of my friends and got the rice with beef and potstickers which were really good. Their lychee martini is amazing! They're Korean chicken wings are to die for and their desserts are really good as well, green tea, crème brûlée. The prices are middle of the line. It's not a cheap place but it's not super expensive. I went back a second time I brought my husband. They have a wide variety of whiskeys with your Japanese, American and other cultures. They also have Taiwanese lychee beer, which I also loved. Of note, the lychee bear is very sweet if that's what you're interested in. My husband got some warm sake, which was delicious and some whiskey. The Ramen is outstanding, we did add some extra touches to the Ramen. We also got two rolls of sushi, including one called Jinbei West. Also delicious. We tried the mochi ice cream, which was good and again the green tea crème brûlée. I would say per person if you get a drink and a meal it'll probably run you anywhere from $25-$30 depending on what you get. maybe less if you get some thing light, maybe more if you get expensive liquor. Our server was Zoe, both times, and she is adorable and amazing! I can promise you will be back here for a second and third time, my husband is addicted to the Ramen, and has been talking about it nonstop. We would highly recommend you come here definitely worth the money of the time!

Yelp
Don't order beef rib - hard to bite! Ramen was fine. If you want to order something beef, bugogi is better than beef rib.

Yelp
This restaurant has been open for only about 2 months. It's located in Peachtree corners in town center next to bistro cinema. It's a tiny place. Can't seat too many people in one setting. When we arrived they said there would be a 30 minute wait and that was on a Friday night. Which is not too bad considering how small the place was. Service was good. The food came out very fast. The food was pretty decent. Are we tried two different Ramen dishes the Tantan and the spicy pork which to me tasted like the same broth just one was saltier than the other due to the sautéed cabbage which was more like kimchi. The best dish was probably the Korean fried chicken! It was on point very crispy and chicken pieces were pretty big, juicy, and tender. The citrus salmon would have been great if it was just a little bit more chilled. It tasted like it was room temperature sushi. The Peachtree corner roll was pretty good! It had a slight crunch in the middle. I liked the hint of truffle. They skipped on the wasabi. They gave you just a pinch we had to ask for more. The bulgogi over rice was kind of a disappointment. It did not taste very authentic. And didn't look very appetizing. It was missing the Korean chili sweet sauce for sure! Overall it was a decent experience. Highlight of the place was location and service. To me the best dish that we had was the Korean fried chicken

Yelp
One of the best sushi experiences I've had anywhere in the world has been from Chef Jack. Once he knew I was an open minded sushi eater he made me one of a kind sushi experience. Highly recommend!

Michael L.

Yelp
First time here I had the tonkotsu and the spicy nappa ramen. Both were great. This time had the 8 piece nigiri and a roll. The nigiri was excellent. The server described each piece. Not a big fan of rolls but this was good. Also got the korean fried chicken which was good and a big serving, more than enough for two people. Service was excellent. Will be back

Yelp
Very possibly the best sushi spot OTP and better than a lot of sushi I've had at fancier, pricier, more pretentious sushi restaurants ITP. Got 3 rolls: the Peachtree Corner, Jinbei West and one with soft shell crab (forgot the name), and all 3 were delicious - fresh, flavorful and unique. We've gone back several times and ordered the same thing each time (it's that good!). Definitely want to try more from the menu though!!! The couple next to us ordered the omakase and it looked great. So happy to have this spot in PTC!!!

Yelp
Food and cocktails are incredible. Do yourself a favor and try the Jinbei West Cocktail. I had the Cispy Tuna Sushi as my appetizer & the Lobster toban & the Hawaiian roll for my entree. All absolutely delicious. This was my first time and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Tasty food and great service! Noodles were toothsome and had a good bite to it. Broth was on point- salty but not too salty. Will come back to try something else. Dessert they have matcha creme brûlée which I will try next time!

Lex S.

Yelp
Jinbei West is such a good place!! I've been here so much and the staff is just genuinely sweet. Cute place and never crowded. Want to support such an amazing place ! I love the Godzilla rolls!

Dotti L.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this little jewel quite by chance. Great Ramen bowl and delicious sushi...good wine and beer options as well. Give it a go...ask for recommendations if you're unfamiliar. Clean, friendly and quiet....a real plus for PTC!

Yelp
Very good food. Nice staff and great atmosphere. Also very clean. Really great to have these guys in Peachtree Corners.

Yelp
Quite honestly the best ramen I've had in a really long time. The Spicy snappu Ramen with extra spicy snappu pork, kashu pork, and corn, with chili oil+sauce on the side. Ladies and gentlemen, you can thank me later.

Per L.

Yelp
Had a rainbow roll to go. The place was clean and nice staff. I typically eat like 3 rolls but the prices were a bit high compared to other sushi spots that l have been to.

Yelp
Amazing ramen joint in PTC! This location is much closer to me than their first location. I am so happy that I can enjoy a terrific bowl of ramen on any night of the week. Their sushi is super fresh and creative. I have been there for lunch and early dinners and their service has been accommodating. My family love this new location because there is so much to do around there if we ever have to wait for our table. Definitely a much needed addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Such good sushi!!! My husband and I came here for date night and loved it! We ordered several different rolls and a few different nigiri options. The food was so fresh and flavorful. The waiting staff was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. I'm sad we didn't take any pictures because the presentation was great! Will definitely return!

Yelp
Everything about this place was perfect. We went for lunch and the vibe was just right. Had a great little buzz to the place (not hectic at all, but lively). Nice house music, good sake selection, awesome sushi and ramen, and friendly/accommodating server and kitchen. One of our new favorites in the area.

Yelp
I enjoyed my "self care" day here. Beautiful restaurant and great service (on a Friday afternoon) and fresh food! Relaxing and upscale environment.
