The food is so great and tasty. The serving size is enough for two or three persons. They have their own ideas to make traditional foods creative.

Hands down, Jincook Korean restaurant is a must-visit in Glendale! The Pork Cutlet curry over rice is a game-changer - it's the best in town! The Suyuk was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning. And the Mushroom japchae? Wow, every bite was bursting with truffle flavor! But what really sets Jincook apart is the decor - it's like stepping into a traditional Korean setting. The attention to detail is impressive, and it definitely adds to the overall dining experience. If you're a fan of Korean food, or just looking for a delicious meal, Jincook is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Food was GREAT, we got the marinated dumplings, the seafood pancake, tofu soup, pork katsu and cheese Kathy with curry and the hot and iced oolong teas, everything was SOOOO good!!!! So happy we came here, the food also came out pretty quick!

This hidden gem in Glendale feels like stepping into an old-school Korean eatery—simple, cozy, and packed with charm. The no-reservation, walk-in-only policy means it’s always bustling, especially during dinner hours, but the wait is so worth it. The staff is friendly, and the vibe feels like a classic spot you’d find in Seoul. Everything is served fresh, with generous portions and no fuss. Perfect for a casual night out without the hassle of heading to K-Town. If you’re looking for authentic Korean comfort food in a relaxed setting, this is the place!

My friends and I went here a few weeks ago, around 9pm. In a pinch and late night, this spot is great to get Korean food. The venue decor was a homage to traditional Korean decor! Service was great, our food runner and server were very attentive. The menu had a variety of Korean dishes, in addition to Japanese and Korean fusion dishes. I got the beef bone soup with rice, my friends ordered : LA Korean BBQ Beef Rib, spicy tofu stew, marinated, dumpling, and two other soup items... I forgot which ones. The flavors were very homelike, and cozy. The only thing that I was sad about - they didn't have sea salt or perilla seeds. However, that is more of a personal choice, not really something to criticize a business over.

Google
Dropped by while on vacation in SoCal. The place wasn't packed, but there was a bit of a wait. The service was good. The food was okay. We ordered the bogogi hot stone and braised beef short ribs. Both dishes came out tasting okay. I would order beef short ribs again. The parking is bad during peak times. The area has street parking, and we had to circle a bit. If you can find parking, give this place a try.

Google
Massive portions and probably some of the best banchan I’ve had in LA. Would definitely recommend the pork curry katsu and the budae jjigae. Overall a really enjoyable atmosphere as well, perfect for a glendale date night!

Google
One of the best Korean restaurants I’ve been to. We went after they extended the opening hours to late night. The queue is long since early evening but fortunately we didn’t have to wait so long. There are traditional dishes and fusion dishes. The shitake mushroom and the mushroom curry were my favorites! My friends really like rose toekbokki. They took the remaining thick soup to eat in the next meal. There were only 2 servers in a full house restaurant so they worked hard and it sometimes took time to get attention but food serving was pretty quick. Parking was metered and it looked full but we did find a spot.

Yelp
This is some of the best Korean food that I have had the pleasure of having in California. I deeply love Korean food and this place did not disappoint! My friend and I split the sweet potato puree cheesy katsu curry and the beef and vegetable soup. It was the perfect mix of heavy and light and perfectly complimented one another (thanks to our server for the recommendation)! The ambiance here is wonderful, the servers are so attentive and the restaurant is so clean. I highly recommend coming here if you are a lover of Korean food!

Yelp
Gorgeous food, koreanade is heavenly, and service is great! We love coming here and they're very kind with the fact it's always eight or so of us when we can meet up with all our friends.

Yelp
This is such a cute restaurant! It's a bit on the smaller side, and doesn't have a lot of tables, so there was a short wait on a Saturday evening, but my party of 2 was seated after only 10-15 minutes. It's nice that they offer complementary iced tea while you wait. I ordered a vegetable bibimbap, and the portion was huge! It came sizzling hot and piled with vegetables. It was really delicious and I had enough for leftovers for lunch the next day.

Yelp
One of our favorite restaurants to come to for Korean, comfort food! Everything on the menu is delicious, of course, we have our favorites! been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Yelp
Galbi - fantastic! Maybe the best I've had in a long long time, and we eat a lot of galbi. Perfect sweetness to the marinade, nice balance of fat, and laid out over onions so it never gets overcooked or stuck to the cast iron skillet that it's served on. Marinated dumplings - these come out hothothot, so be careful diving in! Nice level of spicy for a sort of spice wuss like me. These are really pleasant. Sweet and chewy in a delightful way. Garlic Suyuk - nice, but not special. It was nicer the more sauce you dipped it in. We struggled to care about it tho. Cheese katsu & sweet potato katsu - I loved the sweet potato katsu. Good amount of cheese and you could actually taste the sweet potato. They were out of the pumpkin, which we would have loved to compare it to. We got the plain cheese instead which was also good but not as interesting as the sweet potato one. Nice cabbage salad on the side. I wish you could just order one separately. My only complaint here is the lack of side dishes like that on the menu Service is always friendly and quick, the space is comfortable, but can get loud on the weekends.

Yelp
affordable place with lots of options to choose from. this place is open pretty late so perfect for a late night meal. the rose tteokbokki and katsu was a super large portion and the beef bone broth was delicious for such a great price compared to other places. the beef short rib soup had less meat than expected and the meat on the bone was slightly too tough (more tendon than meat). the soup was delicious though. overall would come back and recommend this place ordered: rose tteokbokki katsu combo (chicken, cheese pork) beef bone broth beef short rib soup

Yelp
Came here for late night dinner and we were stuffed! Actually the atmosphere and ambiance is really nice and cozy here, they did a good job with the interior. We were surprised by the quality of the banchan (side dishes) that were provided! We expected a pretty westernized taste given the popularity of this place, and because of the area, but it holds up pretty well! We had their Sous Vide Garlic Pork Belly (Garlic Suyuk) - Half and the jalapaneo cheese curry katsu and both were really good. The katsu and curry was on the heavier side though so I recommend sharing it. Service was good! This is a great place to eat! It can get pretty busy though, depending on the hour, so try to go early or avoid rush hour! Paid Parking is at the back!

Yelp
This place has been on my list of I must go! Finally got to try this place and I was soo impressed by everything we got. The katsu curry was really good! My boyfriend really loved it! Then the rose tteobokki was good as well! It was nice that we got to make some changes to our liking as well and swap items in the dish. And lastly, the spicy tofu soup, it hit the spot for me but I wish it was still bubbling hot because the egg, wasn't cooked to our liking, but we made it work and very much still enjoyed it! The service was good and food also came out pretty quick! Inside was also very spacious and looked cute as well! Will definitely be back to try other dishes because we have a few we want to try! We still think about the food Highly recommend trying!

Yelp
We were in the area and randomly stumbled on the place. Glad we did! Portions were big, the meat was tender, seasoning spot on, and service was ... just ok. But still worthwhile.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Saturday around noon and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. The restaurant itself was spscious and comfortable. The army stew was my favorite dish--super flavorful, packed with ingredients, and paired perfectly with rice. My friends thought it was a bit salty, but I personally loved it. We tried the fish katsu, and it was incredibly flaky and delicious, definitely something I'd order again. On the other hand, the cheesy pork katsu curry was a bit of a miss for me. The pork was tough, so I'd probably skip it next time. However, the garlic suyuk (we got the half order) was fantastic--the pork was tender, and the flavors were on point.

Yelp
The food here is always delicious and the portions are enormous. One dish is usually sufficient for two people in my opinion, otherwise you will absolutely have at least one, maybe two, leftover servings. I always love their kimchi, it's uniquely seasoned between each dish, the pickled onion is my absolute fave! The atmosphere is always nice; sometimes service can be spotty midday, but it's not a big deal.

Yelp
Stopped here randomly when I was in the area. Service was quick, but I had an issue with my server lying to me. I liked the simple decor they had throughout. It was cute without feeling like they were crowding the place with junk. Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing to my guy and me especially for the price. We started out with the Marinated Dumplings, which was both our favorite dishes. It was very flavorful and the texture was great! We also tried their Bibimbap Hot Stone and Jin Cook Kal-guksu. The ingredients for the bibimbap were very wet/slimy, especially the seaweed salad, bean sprouts, and the mushrooms. My guy ended up eating all of it on his own, even though he wasn't a fan, because it was too gross to me. I ended up eating more of the kal-guksu, but it was very bland and I didn't get any brisket. When I asked the server about it, he pointed to my fish cake on a skewer and said that was brisket. Sir. I know the difference between brisket and fish cake. They are nowhere close to each other and I'm not stupid. The dumplings were passable, but still lacked flavor.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come and try out this place for some time now. The perfect opportunity arose when I was going to meet a friend who wanted to eat in Glendale and she said I can choose where to eat. She's NEVER had Korean food, so this was the perfect time for us both. There were so many yummy choices to choose from. I decided to try out the Spicy Tofu Stew. There are different levels of spiciness. I chose not to be that spicy, and it was very good, but I think I can go a little spicier next time. The bowl came out steaming out and boiling so I added my raw egg quickly. My friend chose what the waiter recommended which was the Bibimbap Hot Stone. She had some left over afterwards, I did not. The service was very good. They checked on us often and made sure our water glasses were filled instead of waiting for us to ask for water. Ambiance is quite nice. Kinda small, so we had a little bit of a wait before being seated, but it gave us a chance to catch up. The sitting area/waiting area can get kind of crowded. Not too many places to sit while waiting to be seated. They don't take reservations. I parked in the 90 minutes free parking structure which was a short walk away. My friend was able to find free street parking which was also a short walk. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
3.5 stars for good food and service. There was no wait on a weeknight at 5 pm. Massive portions helped justify the cost. My bf and I paid $80 after tax and tip for 2 drinks and 2 entrees. I made 2.5 meals out of the leftovers. My favorite part of the meal was the banchan. Both the kimchi and radish were lightly fermented, sweet, and mildly sour and spicy. The spinach and tofu dish was umami with a hint of sesame flavor. The onions and jalapenos were good, not too salty. - Soju Highball with Korean Tangerine ($9.95). Although the alcohol was nonexistent, the drink was absolutely delicious. It tasted fresh and sweet, thanks to the candied tangerine peels. - Sweet Potato Cheese Curry Katsu ($25.95). I enjoyed this dish. The katsu was extremely crispy. The fluffy and intensely sweet mashed Korean sweet potato paired well with the cheese. I thought the pork tasted a little bland, but the flavor of the meat was better the next day. The mild curry had a sweeter flavor profile. It was served on the watery side to account for the hot stone bowl. The curry tasted better as it reduced and thickened to a more standard consistency. However, it reduced too much and became a bit salty. I would have preferred just the rice in the stone bowl with curry on the side. - Tteokbokki ($16.95 + $3 cheese add on). It was not bad, though a bit too soupy for me. The mild spicy red sauce was sweet and a little smoky. The rice cakes were chewy and on the softer side. I could have used more fish cake an cabbage. Furthermore, I would have preferred the cheese to be broiled normally in the kitchen. Instead, it was torched table side, which resulted in uneven browning and insufficient melting. At least the portion of the cheese was fair. - Hotteok ($3.95). I liked the dough; it was crispy and chewy and not too oily. But where was the brown sugar? I was saddened by the lack of filling. And the squirt of black sugar syrup at the bottom of the cup tasted like chocolate sauce. I was not a fan.

Yelp
Delicious Korean food in Glendale! I came here on a Monday night and it was pretty busy. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated and people kept coming in until 10:20 PM! I wish the restaurant was a little bigger, but nonetheless, the service and food is amazing. We got the fried dumplings to start off and they were delicious! They were coated in a sweet/spicy sauce and your first bite is super juicy. It came with 5 pieces. I got the pork katsu curry and it came in a large hot stone with rice, curry, and katsu pork. The curry was very rich in flavor and the rice was extra sticky (my fave). My friend got a tofu soup and added an egg. It was flavorful and came with a side of white rice. This restaurant is on the pricier, but the wait, and everything is worth it.

Yelp
Been to Jin Cook like 3 times now. Very solid korean comfort food spot. I've tried their curry katsu and the soondooboo. Both were very top notch. The parking is okay here. Basically street parking and small lots. Friday and weekends can get tough to get a spot. Maybe a loop or two shall do it. Service is decent. They seem understaffed sometimes. Food came out quick though. Side dishes were very good. I wish they give the stone pot rice with the soondooboo like many other korean spots do. Would come back again. They're opening one in Little Tokyo, so I can't wait til that location opens up.
google avatar

Kaelyn R.

Yelp
Quickly seated. Ambiance is consistent with other locations. Their chicken katsu was good for two people. Crispy but chicken had a weird texture, almost like a sponge/chicken nugget. We liked the dumplings the most. Tofu soup came out warm at best but flavor was good.

Yelp
No better place to enjoy authentic Korean soul food than Jin Cook! Everything, from their soups to their hot plates are absolutely delicious. Definitely hits the spot, especially after a long day. The service is good, the restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance, and the wait times usually aren't too bad. Parking can be harder to find if you come at a busy time, but I've never had to walk too far to get here. My absolute favorite dishes from Jin Cook are the mushroom japchae (glass noodle) and the mushroom curry. Comfort and flavor in each bite! They also provide an ample amount of tasty side dishes to wet your appetite or enjoy alongside your main course. Can't wait to come back and try more of their food!

Yelp
I'm visiting home and wanted to find a Korean spot around this area and thought this would be a perfect dinner spot for a chill Friendsmas! I came on a Saturday night around 8 and was able to be seated really quickly. Only sat for a couple minutes before being called for a table! There were 5 of us and the table we were seated at fit us quite well. Workers were super friendly and attentive to what we needed. The portions of the dishes were fulfilling for all of us and were definitely kept warm the entire time. They gave the options of spicy levels in which we were all satisfied with. I personally loved the spicy pork hot stone that had a very rich taste to the dish along with rice! One dish that wasn't captured was the chicken katsu curry, and all of us who tried were a big big fan! Definitely recommended if you're in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall enjoyed my experience here! Got the jalapeño cheese katsu and the garlic suyuk, both very well put together, flavorful, and hearty. Also had a side of marinated dumplings, those were good but it tasted like your typical frozen rectangular dumplings tossed in a soy based sauce. Not necessarily unique. I'd say you can count on the food being good, but it is a pricier Korean restaurant. You can definitely find cheaper Korean food even in the LA area, but if you want larger portions of dishes that have a slight twist, this is a good place to try. Tried the hotteok for dessert and that is a skip for me, it was not juicy enough for me personally. Service is typical and nice! The restaurant itself is a small/medium size restaurant, good for small parties/dates. Would say it is casual, but maybe very very slightly above casual if anything.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 This place is so good it would likely be a last meal type of restaurant. I don't think there is a limit to how much I adore this restaurant. Took some friends here to try it out and they are firm fans now. If you're not sure what to try just ask your server and I promise you won't be disappointed. My go tos are the rose tteokbokki and their stews.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is Korean soul food, i.e. comfort food. If you are having a bad day, anything on the menu can lift up your spirits. First of all, the banchan (little appetizer dishes) is delicious. You get four: garlic spinach, soy onions, kimchi, and radish kimchi. I almost filled up on the banchan themselves because they were so good, but managed to stop myself before our main entrees arrived. For the main entrees, we tried and enjoyed: * Galbi tang (beef short rib soup) * Pork and rice soup * Garlic suyuk (pork belly in milky beef bone broth with lots of ground garlic and a sweet paste) * Bulgogi and rice in a hot stone plate These are what you want for Thanksgiving...not turkey.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Had dinner here one night with my family. It's a small/med sized space with lots of 4 tops. We ordered the curry pork katsu, bulgogi, truffle mushroom japchae, and marinated dumplings. Everything was really good. The bulgogi and curry came on a hot stone serving dish! My favorite was the truffle mushroom japchae! I'm a sucker for mushroom and truffle oil. Service was good, servers were attentive. Glad we ate earlier because it got busier as the night went on and many parties waiting for a table. Solid 4.75/5

Yelp
Yummy food for late night munchies with shareable portions. These dishes were perfect for a cold day. My favorite was the Kal-Guksu. We also got an assortment of side dishes like kimchi, radish, and cabbage. Service was quick and very attentive. The store is a bit tiny so there is a wait! There's paid parking behind the building.

Yelp
Cheese curry katsu came piping hot in a stone pot. The katsu was really good~ the meat was tender and the outer layer was very crispy. However, the curry sauce was a bit too runny and the rice was a little soggy. The traditional pork soup was amazing~ It was really flavourful with a nice kick. Loved the side dishes as well, especially the spinach (시금치). Service was very friendly and the servers refilled our side dishes quickly. The restaurant had a nice interior and was decorated like a Korean pub.
google avatar

Sammy M.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Seafood pancake, rose tteokboki, and garlic suyu were all flavorful and spot on. Not giving 5 stars due to one of the servers being dismissive and rude. Was a heavier side and younger looking Hispanic guy. Blatantly ignored my table and when finally flagged down, never came back with requested side dish refills. Parking is a pain to find in the street. There are parking garages nearby at rates of $1.50 per 15 min vs 0.50 cents on the street.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend, girlfriend, and I all came in and were warmly greeted by staff. The interior aesthetic reminded me of similar places back in Korea with how it felt cozy and was dimly lit. Service was decent and attentive. We ordered the bulgogi hot stone, spicy pork hot stone, and marinated dumplings. The spicy pork was maybe a 4/10 or 5/10 in spiciness but everything we had there was delicious. The sweet soy sauce paired with the marinated dumplings complemented each other well and it's hard to go wrong with the pork and bulgogi with rice accompanying them. Price is okay vs the portion of food you get. Overall it was a nice experience!

Yelp
Great service! Very friendly :) Food was INCREDIBLE. Rice cakes with mozzarella and ramen - comfort food for sure. Absolutely delicious. Spicy beef soup - well seasoned and super tasty. Bulgogi hot stone plate - so yummy. I would definitely come back! :P

Yelp
never had pork bone soup before but this was soooo delish. i love me a good hearty soup and jincook delivered! the rose tteokboki was very good too but i wish it came with fishcake. all the banchan was decent. a bite of the pickled onion/chili on top of the pork was absolutely immaculate !!!

Yelp
A cute cozy place that took me straight to Korea. My party of 3 came on a Friday night because it was honestly one of the only places that was open past 9 (love the late night vibes). It was pretty packed and we waited about 30 mins since the space was small but it was worth it. I was craving galbi jjim (braised beef short rib) so this was perfect! We also ordered their kalguksu and were the perfect pairing with the galbi jjim. We shared with 3 people and we couldn't even finish it--portion was more than plenty. The galbi jjim was so flavorful, tender, and juicy! Maybe next time we'll try it with the cheese. Just a very steep price point.

Yelp
We came here as an option to not have to drive to Korea town and Jin was open late so we tried it. I ordered the sweet pumpkin cheese curry katsu. Mind you, these stone pots are piping hot so be careful. The food is super hot. My dish was good. I enjoyed the curry and sweetness of the pumpkin. It was a nice sweet and savory dish. My husband ordered the hamburger steak hot stone and he said it was "ok". The server even mentioned that it was his least favorite, but my husband wanted to try anyway. The banchan was decent and the server even brought out complimentary marinated dumplings. I wonder if he did that cuz he knew my husband wouldn't enjoy the hamburger steak. Whatever the case, it was a kind gesture. Overall, I'm sure the menu has plenty of great dishes, the ambiance is nice and I love that they're open late especially in the area. The staff is super friendly too.

Yelp
The spicy braised beef short ribs is a must-order and I highly recommend adding cheese. The ribs are so tender and they remove the bones for you so it's really easy to eat. It's a great sharing dish and pretty filling too. We also tried the seolleongtang, or beef bone broth, which is a signature dish of theirs that is getting the recognition it deserves. The broth was super flavorful and didn't need any salt. I also tried some of the garlic suyuk which is a recently added item and I loved the pork on its own. However, it did come with garlic and a red sauce. I was really looking forward to the jalapeño cheese curry katsu but the katsu tasted a bit too oily for me although the crisp was very good. That said, the curry itself made up for it because I pretty much finished the whole bowl myself. No regrets. This is a great place for a solo visit to get any of the soups or a group hangout so that you can split a lot of the bigger dishes. The service was great and the interior design is beautiful. It's great for late night food too since they just extended their hours.

Yelp
Came back again and it's been too long!! The food is rlly rlly good here and I say that as a korean american haha. The service is great and the restaurant is clean. I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
I've seen this place on social media multiple times and I thought that I was in for a great meal. We ordered the bulgogi hot stone and a suyuk. I'd say that everything was underwhelming and the only things that were good were the side dishes. The suyuk was ok. The pork belly wasn't as soft as I liked but the flavor was ok. The bulgogi hot stone was the most disappointing. I expected the stone to be hot to the point where the rice would at least cook a little bit like how a hot stone should be. I was expecting some hot pepper paste mixed in but it was literally rice and bulgogi. Service was nonexistent as he only checked on us once. I don't think I will be back as I've had much better Korean food elsewhere.

Yelp
Such a great Korean comfort food spot!! First time trying Jin Cook and the food did not disappoint. Had the jalapeño curry chicken katsu with cheese, spicy beef soup and the suyuk. Very large portions and easily shareable for 2-4 people. Only con was the long wait. We were standing for about 30-35 minutes to get a table for 2. But it was worth the wait.

Yelp
This place is literally so good that I think about it from time to time. I happened to be in Glendale and decided to try this place out. The decor is super cute inside and the workers are so attentive and friendly! I came with a group of friends and was able to try multiple dishes. My favorite was the Rose teokbokki, which is surprising since I usually don't like teokbokki! The rose sauce was delicious and definitely made that dish special. Their seafood pancake was also very tasty and perfectly crispy. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some delicious Korean food!
google avatar

Peggy S.

Yelp
I really wanted to love that sweet potato katsu curry. It came in 4 big pieces but the sweet potato proportion to the chicken meat is pretty sad; each katsu piece only had half a spoon of sweet potato layered between two thin pieces of chicken. But i give them an A for having this dish on the menu; this would have been my fav katsu curry if the proportions weren't off. We also ordered the steamed dumplings which was not that good; ktown's mdk is waay better. Service was a bit slow; and restaurant got crowded really fast after 6pm. Probably won't come back again unless I am in the area and wanted Korean food.

Yelp
If you're looking for mouthwatering food served with the warmest smiles in Glendale, Jincook is your next must-visit spot! I went with a group of four and had a great time eating five authentic and delicious Korean dishes. Every team member that came by had the biggest, friendliest smiles, and it made the whole experience so much better. My friends opted for beers, but since I'm a non-alcoholic girlie, my boyfriend ordered me the "Koreanade" Cintron Hallobong, which was a refreshingly bright and citrusy drink that hit all the right notes. We did family-style and shared everything so we could try as much as possible. The Marinated Dumplings were a catch - crispy, spicy, and in a ready-to-eat flat dumpling shape. The Garlic Suyuk dish had such tender pork belly and it was served with a great garlic sauce that made it my favorite dish of the night. The Jalapeno Cheese Curry Katsu was so fun. I've never seen curry served with a block of rectangular rice in the middle, curry on one side, and katsu on the left. Turns out, it's a genius way of serving katsu curry so the katsu can say crispy. The pork katsu stuffed with jalapenos and cheese was huge, too, enough for all four of us to have 1/2 a piece to ourselves. Lastly, the Seafood Korean Pancake was my boyfriend's favorite. It was a savory, golden-brown pancake loaded with lots of veggies and a generous amount of seafood. Every dish was so unique! Parking is a little difficult as it's only street parking but you may just get lucky. If not, there are small parking lots in the back on California Avenue. All in all, I would 100% come back with more friends. We left full, happy, and the staff were just so friendly. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food and amazing service.

Yelp
We're regulars at the Granada Hills location, so we wanted to try the Glendale one! The space is a bigger, and its very clean. All the workers were attentive to us. The food came out in literally 7 mins. We got the hot stone, 2 soups, and the dumplings. Def would come back to this location too.

Yelp
You definitely need to know which items to order! In the past I've tried their: - Sweet Potato Cheese Curry Katsu 5/5 Yummy yummy pieces of pork katsu stuffed with sweet potato... I'd definitely get this one again. - Marinated Dumplings 2.1/5 They're OK, I guess. It's on the saltier side... wouldn't get again. - Traditional Pork and Soup 1.9/5 Pork taste is strong/weird in this soup. Would not get again. - Kal Guk Soo 1.7/5 Disappointing... The noodles are overcooked and the soup isn't memorable. Would NOT get again. This time I tried the: - Spicy Galbi Jjim 5/5 Pretty good! Especially for the price, it's comparable to Sun Nong Dang's galbi jjim. When you add cheese, not sure why they put half an American cheese on top... anyways, would get again! - Seafood Pancake 5/5 Crunchy and crispy on the outside, it's very good! You can taste the different kinds of seafood in there. Don't know why there is an egg yolk in the dipping sauce (makes it taste too oily). Would get again.

Yelp
Review #2 for 2025. It was my first night in LA and I went with my wife and bro and sis in law. Korean food in LA is the best outside of korea. This place IMO falls short, but it was late. My gripe is that the banchan was kind of weak. Service is ok, but they were busy so it was a bit slow. I got the spicy beef and vegetable food. Honestly, for the price, I would have expected more meat. There were barely strands in there.

Yelp
jin cook is soooooo good! i love their cheese pork curry! there's a huge wall of rice keeping the curry away from the crispy katsu, YAY! the portion is HUGE! totally shareable between two adults. my other fav is their fried mushroom appetizer. fried to perfection with a tasty sauce. idk what kind of sauce but it's slight sweet and delicious. they also give a nice spread of ban chan, pickle onions are super crunchy. the interior is cute, i think it's supposed to look like the old streets of korea. plenty of seating and open space. you can enter thru the back if you park in the back lot. service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
Since most ayce kbbq spots in LA don't offer solo dining, I decided to check this place out and I wasn't disappointed. Service was amazing and the food was very high quality, even though it was a little pricey compared to ayce kbbq spots I've been to with friends. I went solo and the staff were very attentive to make sure everything was good. Not too busy, and it was quite relaxing. Definitely coming back here if I want to treat myself again.

Yelp
Customer service was excellent and the tofu soup was delicious! I love Jin Cook soon tofu probably more than BCD and I can find two in my area compared to BCD. The only downside is their banchan is limited. I miss fish cake or braised potatoes as banchan. The ambiance feels like a Korean bar in Koreatown which is nice, highly recommend if you're looking for Korean cuisine in the area. There's a lot of other dishes too but we only like soon tofu.

Yelp
Food is great. Prices are reasonable. Location isn't my favorite, but it works. Inside is not the most comfortable dining experience/setup, but that's being nitpicky--it's not terrible. Overall a winner.
