JINJI Korean Cuisine & Soju Bar

Really cool concept. There are three restaurants in the New Seoul Plaza. We dined at Jinji and it was amazing. I had the Hot Pot and it is really large. I have leftovers for days. I advise to share it with at least 3 other people. Unless your kids are fans of Korean food, they might not like it and you might feel as though you wasted money. Can't wait to come back.

Fantastic food! Honestly this meal was a real treat! We had the glass noodle with chicken (out of this world), the beef bibimbap (amazing), and their signature dish the Haemul Pajeon (savory thick and crispy pancake with kimchee and scallions). This was terrific! All the food was so good. We will certainly be back soon!

I think Jinji is the best korea restaurant in Michigan. My favorite food are there and It is really same taste as korea and so delicious. Chef is nice and server is so kind and friendly too. If you want to or try some korea food, I highly recommend here.

First time visiting and would definitely return! Friendly service and didn't embarrass us by not knowing the correct pronunciation of dishes. We tried soju after the server recommend it with you our meal - bimbimbop was great on a cold night!

We accidentally discovered Jinji but something we will cherish forever. Food is great and service is excellent. We tried hot pot, rice cakes and shrimp Mandu. Everything tasted amazing and loved the spiciness with hot pot. Jinji definitely was the highlight of our Detroit trip and I would definitely come back here to try more.

If you come here I’d definitely recommend the Tteokbokki (Ddukbokki)! The food was really enjoyable and the server was really sweet (Although I forgot her name)!! I also cannot forget about the Bubble Tea and the Kimchi!! In the picture I got the Taro Bubble Tea and it was really good, if you like coconut lol.

This place was amazing. The waitress was awesome and the food was excellent. I am new to Korean food but our waitress steered us in the right direction and everything was great. 10/10 will be going back.

Great experience! Service was very good because there’s a button that you can press if you need something. Food was delicious and portions were huge for the price! We order things that can be shared but definitely could’ve fed two more people!

Daebak was fantastic! Its a bit pricey, but well worth it. The food was high quality and very fresh. Even the lettuce was delicious!The service was outstanding. They also truly cater to those with food allergies. Once the server knew I had a food allergy, he accommodated me without even asking and brought out additional sides and pointed out what I couldn't eat. They even give you a service button to press when you want to hail your server. The menu also labeled gluten free options, so if you're gluten free, ordering will be a breeze.

I'm going to start with the bad... we are only 3 people, black snd gratuity of 20% was already added to the check. Given the lackluster service, I never anticipated giving them any more than 15%. On the menu, in 8 pt text it states, all parties MAY BE subject to a 20% gratuity. So.. this restaurant chooses to whom they think will not tip. I'd like to make it crystal clear that unless a party of 6 or more where maybe more work at a table is required, a tip is voluntary & complementary. A guest is only entitled and legally responsible for their bill. We were seated quickly and handed menus. The wait for service was about 20mins. We ordered and the food came out quickly. Sadly, not given utensils. Not greeted. No run over. Imagine fast food on speed with our initial hi, what can I get you. Luckily, I know how the restaurant works so I explained to the table. The dining room had about 5 occupied tables & 3 servers. We weren't checked on voluntarily ever but we did use the call button for obvious needs... rice, utensils, more sauce.. etc. Things started moving fast for other tables once the women came on the clock although they weren't assigned to our table. We asked for sugar for the tea and they not the cafe had sugar. Nor bottled water for purchase. We left with our bellies full and that's all that matters. I'm traveling through so I won't be returning and even if I lived here, nope... I wouldn't come back. The automatic add of gratuity, although I did ask for them to remove it & they did, rubbed me the wrong way. Nopeity, nope nope.

I really enjoyed the old Seoul Garden that used to be here so I was happy to see this open in the spot of a classic. I honestly really love the food here. They have a lot of nice options to choose from and their meats/flavors are good. Their side dishes are good and the wings in the soy garlic slap!!! Honest the wings and the radish that's with it are my favorite. Their tea is perfect brewed and I do like the steamed egg. So why 3 stars? The service needs a lot of work. I have been here about 5 times and the service (except for once) has been horrible. You ring that bell so many times and no one never comes. If they can get the service together, they deserve 20 stars.

My friends and I were able to secure a table for 6 this past Monday for dinner. We only had to wait about 30 minutes via walk-in, but I would highly recommend making reservations in advance if you know you'll be dining here. We initially came here with the intention to drink, but we ended up eating instead. They gave us two sets of banchan and there was plenty of options like pickled radish, kimchi, macaroni salad, and spring mix. However, the banchan was not worth writing home about and was at best just OK. Between five people, we shared a couple KBBQ platters (each order came with a steamed egg and soybean paste soup -- I didn't try the soup but the steamed egg was alright and not very fluffy): A3. BEEF COMBO (FOR 2) - 69 * Thinly sliced brisket - Obviously, we started with the thinnest cut first. This was a pretty good start, the meat had a good balance of meat and fat, and overall the texture and flavor was good. * Short ribs - Tender and delicious, went well with the sesame oil with salt (this could use more salt in it). I only had a bite of it since each order comes with four small strips and there were five of us. * Prime ribeye steak - Pretty disappointing because it wasn't very flavorful and the cut was pretty tough. * Marinated short rib slices - This was probably most people's favorite cut that we tried. The marinade was lightly sweet and the meat was tender. A6. SIGNATURE COMBO (FOR 2) - 69 * Prime ribeye steak - Similar thoughts from above. * Pork belly - I didn't try this because I'm not a huge pork belly fan, but my friends seemed to all enjoy it. * Pork shoulder steak - Meat quality was OK and it was on the tougher side than it was tender. In general, I don't really like pork for KBBQ, so i might be biased. * Marinated short rib slices - Again, similar thoughts from above. Quite delicious. The food overall was OK -- some cuts of meat were much better than others, but some fell short in terms of quality and flavor. The interior is nice and modern, but keep in mind you'll be doing all the cooking here (at least, we weren't given an option for someone to help us cook).

First time ordering lunch to go here, because I was in a rush. Lunch menu stop at 3 so front desk put in an order for me before kitchen take a break. Beef japchae, I figure it is a safe choice to pick for to go order. It just noodles. I got quite good amount of food. A small box for sides( kimchee and broccoli) then the main bowl I have japchae on top of a bed of white rice. Good flavor. Very fulfilling. $15 is pretty good deal.

I enjoyed my experience at deabak we seen their restaurant on a local influencer page decided to check it out and boy was it good few meats recommended from the servers and some very good sides come with every meal and me an my girlfriend had a wonderful time at this location very friendly. We will be back.

Could've been better (Yelp's 2/5 description) is on point. Food: got the marinated steak combo ($60). While known for 'high quality' meat, meat was not that. multiple pieces of steak not chewable. Tough (despite being cooked to less than well done quality). Also got the Kimchi Jiggae - odd flavor. I've never had something so sweet yet sour/spicy at the same time. Not pleasant. I also go the Sundubu Jjigae which was really nothing special and did not surpass other Korean restaurants like Chung Ki Wa/Soora. This place's specialty was KBBQ, and it was VERY sub-par. Service: Terrible. The bell to alert the server did not make the server come over. We were told we could only dine for one hour because of a reservation one hour later. At the one hour mark, there were plenty of tables, and this left a distaste for the restaurant when they said that. Could not get the hot plate changed for the longest time. Ambiance: very busy on Sunday brunch time. It seemed they were understaffed and overworked. This showed in their get in - get out - no attentiveness attitude.

We went as a family to celebrate our recently passed father. When we arrived the restaurant was loud and chaotic. it took quite some time to be seated. After 15 minutes of no waiter attending to us I went to the front. To ask for assistance. Instead the woman who I assume was a blond female floor manager of some sort gave me attitude, implying that somehow it was our fault that we had been ignored. Maybe she was having a bad day? But we all found her attitude unprofessional and off putting. Aside from that we had a very nice meal. The Food was well prepared and very tasty. I would recommend. But be aware that this is a very loud restaurant and people with hearing difficulties will find it challenging to hold conversation. No matter, they will be enjoying their food instead. Please retrain your staff to put the customer first rather than their personal problems. Especially when we spend $400 on a meal.

Been coming here for some time now. Usually snag a reservation as this place gets busy! Always a pleasant experience. This time we ordered the premium glabi combo for two which was some of the freshest beef I've had in Michigan in some time. We frequent between a few place but I think this needs to remain the spot. They are constant and prices are good. Love that more things keep getting added to this area/ plaza.

We went here on a packed Friday night and waited for an hour and it was absolutely worth it. The staff was great and the food was as well. We started with the Haemul Pajeon(seafood pancake) not only was it good but a meal in itself. We also got the Japchae( noodles) and it was good as well. The combo meat meal was a treat and we left with a lot of leftovers. Highly recommend.

My sister and I went to Daebak Korean Barbecue after our other plans fell through. We didn't have a reservation, but they seated us in their private room, which had a long table with other diners who also didn't have reservations. Odd set up, but it was fine. We found the menu confusing, so we asked the server how it worked. There are combination meals and a la cart dishes. Upon his advice, we ordered the marinated combo for 2. Because nothing's cooked, the service is very fast. They brought everything right away. The server started the grill for us with an onion and a pat of butter. Neither one of us likes spicy food, and my sister is allergic to pepper, which we told the server. But apparently, the side dishes are standard, so some of them didn't work for us. I was able to eat the peppery potato sticks but some of the other things -- including the soup -- were too spicy for both of us. The steamed egg appetizer was weird, but I put it on the grill, which made it palatable. The side dishes were all very small, and other than onions and mushrooms, there were no vegetables meant for grilling. But the real problem was two-fold: All of the chicken was thigh meat, which was fine for me, but for people like my sister who don't like dark meat, it was a huge disappointment. The second and bigger issue was that much of the meat was full of gristle, rendering it inedible. Additionally, when they brought out the meat, they did not point out which was which, except to mention that the chicken takes the longest to cook -- so we were advised to cook it last! That didn't make any sense to us, so we cooked it first. At $60, it was not cheap. We both decided that K-Pot is a much better deal, as it's all you can eat. They also offer a bigger variety, the menu is easier to understand, the servers are more helpful and the food was of a of higher quality.

The food here never disappoints. Every type of meat was seasoned really well. The service was great and the waiter was very attentive to our big party. This place is clean and perfect for either a casual korean bbq meal or a big party.

Went here for lunch and they have lunch specials Tuesday - Sunday. We ordered the dolsot bibimbap with tofu and the L.A. galbi & soondubu jjigae combo. There is a bell on the table so when you're ready to order or need something, you can push the bell and a waiter will show up. However, our bell's battery was dead so we had to get our waiter's attention the old-fashioned way. The bibimbap portion is kind of small but enjoyed the veggies and crispy tofu. The short ribs were cooked perfectly. The soup was also delicious! The bonchon was also tasty!

2/22/24 Sister and I went for lunch and it was busy with customers but they staff took care of things quickly and they and the food were phenomenal. And I love spicy foods and their spicy listed things on the lunch menu had what I would say some "sas" or zest but were not hot to me. But DELICIOUS! And the stuff like veggies they offered were GREAT! And the lunch specials were only $14ea. Will definitely go again!

I want to say that I may not like Korean Barbecue, so this review is not to discourage anyone. I expected more flavor, and I am not a fan of cooking my own meat. However, go see for yourself how you like it. So, if you know how it works or have been there before you will know the rules. We sat there for 30 minutes without a waiter. We did get water, but that took about 15 minutes. Apparently, you ring a bell on your table. The food was okay, but I don't think I would ever get pork or chicken to cook myself. Therefore, I would stay away from those and at a minimum the pork is not the best idea. We got pork belly and that was a big mistake, not flavorful and hard to cook. I felt like I may get sick if the either meats weren't cooked well or they touched the veggies. The sauces were good and the rice. There was not much instruction given and they were not that friendly. Maybe it was a tired crew, who knows, but it was just fair. Go see yourself and let me know.

Love this restaurant. I come here specifically for the rice cakes (Dukbokki). I usually don't get them with the fish cakes, but I enjoy them here. They are super fishy if you've never tried them. Definitely add ramen & cheese. Our service was quick & pleasant. The restaurant is definitely clean & well kept. Overall dining here is a great experience.

Excellent experience and service every-time here at Daebak! This place is a bit pricey so bring your pocketbook. The meats and marinated and just delicious after grilling on the place. They also have independent dishes that are fantastic as well, the cheese corn was incredible and the beef kimchi fried rice is just chefs kiss. This time our waiter forgot to put our order in and we waited a bit for it to come and after he realized he put the order in, it came out in under 5 mins and we got a free bottle of lyche soju, so WIN WIN! You guys have to visit, this place is incredible

Cooking your own food at kbbq is hit or miss. Sometimes you just want them to do it for you. Not sure you have that option here. Banchan is ok, not great. Thought there'd be more variety but the basics are covered. Service was great and attentive. With so many marinated meat dishes, grill plate changes are crucial. Will go again

Korean bbq joy abounds at Daebok. Lots of delicious options for choosing. You can order food to cook or already prepared dishes. We ordered some wings and other apps to share and then lots of meat to grill at the table. The thin cuts of meat cooked very quickly and are served with banchan (kimchi ...etc) and rice. My favorites were the marinated meats. Eating at Daebok is great to do with a large party. We had a table of 8 with two grills to cook our food on. Kick back, enjoy some Soju and do some drilling at Daebok!

Second time here. Wasn't as good. The japchae we ordered this time was markedly different; overcooked, stiff, noodles stuck together. Meats were the same quality, pretty decent What prompted me to write this second review was the service. Rated 1 star this time. I know it's a hit or miss with waiters but ours was really terrible. They sat us in the back room with 3- 4 other parties in a family style set up. They each had their own waiter. They ALL got the water jug, we didn't. They all got the banchan immediately upon sitting, we didn't. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order and that's only because we flagged down one of their waiters who were very attentive to them. We kept pressing the service bell and we heard it go off outside in the main dining room; yet no one came. They even thought the bell was defective. Alas, it was our waiter who was. Not sure if he was overwhelmed or what but it just put a damper on our experience. We had to ask repeatedly for things from other waiters who were great ( refills, grill changes etc). Sometimes they said oh let me get your waiter instead. I had to get up and go out to the main dining room to flag someone down multiple times, including to ask for the check. 20% tip still because they could be having a bad day.

I loved this restaurant so much. This is now my favorite Korean restaurant in MI. I loved the food, the people were so kind, and the restaurant was clean and spacious. They all made sure we had everything we needed. I loved that it was connected to a k-pop store, and a bubble tea cafe. I will be back and that's a fact.

Food was ok and not great compared to Los Angeles kbbq. It's not all you can eat. The banchans or sides were lacking in flavor. Service was decent. The tables and chairs were uncomfortable and tiny.

the place is absolutely gorgeous, but personally for me and my boyfriend went there other day and the food was very pricey. the food wasn't the best in my opinion because you get to cook food on bbq so you have to pay attention on the food. some will be burnt, some isn't ready that will take forever to cook it plus with pricey little bit high so it's not worth it to go there. i'll try go to KPOT to see how compare with this and that.

Came here for dinner at 530 on thanksgiving eve. Everything was yummy overall. We got the A1 daebak combo for the meatz. It's a good variety and you cook everything yourself on the grill. It's nice that this place has these tube vents that can come down closer to the stove so the smoke can be dissipated better. I didn't expect to eat a lot since I'm getting over something but I kept eating and eating since the balance was so wondering between the freshness and coldness of the salad and side dishes to the hotness of the doenjang jjigae (spicy tofu soup) and steamed egg. We also got the seafood pancake. It doesn't have much flavor but there's lot of dips (3) that is given to you at the beginning. Service was also good (you press a button on the table) but know that they will add gratuity (20ish%) to your bill (at least they did for our group of 6). Pro tip on the side dishes. If they have mashed potatoes as a side dish, eat it with the Kim chi. They go real well together as the sweetness of the creamy potatoes and the tart fermented slickness of the Kim chi is a beautiful marriage of flavors.

Highly recommend to have a reservation. We did not, but we're still seated for one hour. Very cool experience with kids ... and all food ordered was great. Kids loved the dumplings! I would go back if I was in the area, but would get a reservation!

Excellent KBBQ in Michigan! The Briskets had the right amount of Fat and cooked well on the nicely layout grill. Friendly staff and authentic atmosphere with the Call-Bell to request service!

This is at the too of my list when it comes to restaurants. The meats are always fresh and the sides are always tasty. LA Galbi is so flavorful. I prefer their marinated meats but you can't go wrong i highly recommend getting a combo for variety. Some of the side dish highlights are the fish cakes, fermented black beans, kimchi and daikon radish sides. There is a button on the table to call for service if you need something at your table. Someone always properly arrives. Very clean restaurant with an open feel. it can get a little loud and smoky in there at times but we enjoy that.

Having had some amazing KBBQ in L.A., Northern Virginia, and Korea itself, I have a pretty good idea of what constitutes a "good" Korean BBQ restaurant. I have to say, I didn't come in with extremely high expectations for KBBQ in the Detroit metropolitan area, but I was pleasantly surprised by Daebak! We made a reservation for 8 people on a Thursday night at around 5:30pm, and the restaurant was fairly empty (but it was early on a weekday night, so that makes sense). The location is in a Korean-themed building (Seoul Plaza) with other Korean stores and a dessert place, and the space inside is bright and spacious, with grill-it-yourself tables as well as regular tables for those who just want pre-cooked entrees. They brought out free banchan (Korean side dishes) as well as six metal bowls of rice (which turned out to be plenty). The banchan was solid if not stellar - the kimchi tasted fresh and crunchy, the pickled veg had a nice brine, the spinach in sesame oil was decent, and the pasta salad was overly mayo-y, but was brightened up by the addition of fresh apples. They also provided a nice bowl of salad tossed in a spicy soy-sauce based vinaigrette, which complemented the rich meats nicely. As I'm gluten-sensitive, I let our server know, and they did a wonderful job of keeping me updated on all items containing gluten. Additionally, a lot of KBBQ places short you on the banchan by only giving you a little bit in the beginning, and you have to ask for more (sometimes at an additional price), but our server brought out large enough portions that we didn't need any refills! Let's get one thing straight: this isn't an AYCE place, which does mean that I expect a higher quality of meat, and I think that Daebak delivers on this. For a party of eight (that included three hungry teenagers), we ordered 4 orders of Saeng Galbi (Angus Short Rib, $38/order) and 1 order of Cote Samgyup (Premium Pork Belly, $24/order). The Saeng Galbi is served on the bone and marinated in a deliciously sweet and savory soy-based sauce. It's a high price for the amount that they give you (a couple of bones per order), but the meat quality is surprisingly good, with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a great level of seasoning. The pork belly comes with a generous portion for the price - I didn't feel as though the meat quality for this was as good, but since it's such a fatty, rich meat, it was relatively forgiving. If you order meat a-la-carte or in a combo, everyone at the table is given a trio of dips/sauces, which I believe include ssamjang (a spicy Korean fermented soybean paste), sesame oil, and a sweet, vinegar-based sauce that I couldn't quite place. These different dips/sauces really served to enhance the rich flavors of the meat! One thing that I wish they had was free lettuce to make ssam (lettuce + meat wraps), but they charge an extra $5 for this, which I guess I'm just not used to. They did include some free vegetables on the side to grill, such as onions, squash, and mushrooms. For extra food, we ordered their Wings ($12 for 5 pieces) - you get a choice of honey garlic, sweet & spicy or soy garlic sauce (we chose sweet and spicy). I didn't try any, since they're twice-fried and not gluten free, but members of our party generally liked them, and they're served with cubes of pickled white radish to help cut the greasiness. We also got two orders of Steamed Egg ($7/order), which was nice and smooth-tasting, with a good amount of seasoning. Their Soondubu Jigae (Soft Tofu Soup, $15) came with onions, zucchini, mixed seafood and egg. The portion was a good size, and it's nice that they didn't make the egg an additional cost. The spice level of the soup was perfect, though we did wish for a larger portion of seafood. Lastly, my cousin ordered the Bibim Naengmyun (Spicy Beef Broth Noodle Soup, $14 for a large portion). This came with a generous portion of "ice-cold beef broth noodle soup with sweet and spicy gochujang vinaigrette garnished with slice of beef, Asian pear, pickled radish & a hard-boiled egg." I don't think this dish was revolutionary, and it was definitely a bit more watery than most bibim naengmyun I've had (usually, it's less of a soup and more of a spicy noodle dish), but it was refreshing and light compared to the meats. Overall, I think that Daebak is a solid spot for KBBQ - everything tasted fairly good, the quality of the food is decent, and while it's not cheap, they don't have a ton of competition in the area, so the prices aren't outrageous. Definitely the best KBBQ spot around Detroit!

Came in on a Thursday at 3pm- nobody in here! Music was good, I was sat immediately and given the lunch menu. I wasn't aware that the lunch menu didn't feature the grill so I asked for the regular menu & ordered from there. I got the rice cake sticks with spicy gochujang sauce, and the B1. Cote Deungshim which is from the a la carte portion of the menu featuring ribeye steak. I asked for extra kimchi and loved every bite of my food!

The food is delicious! I had a vegetable pajeon and meat dumplings. Good service will definitely order again

this was a recommendation by my friend who is a regular here and as i myself am a kbbq connoisseur, and i was throughly impressed we got the beef brisket, pork belly, marinated skirt steak and corn cheese. everything was truly so good. the portions were good for ordering them individually but they also offer plates with pre-selected meat choices if you're unsure of what to get. the slides were also really fresh and yummy! my friend said they sometimes have different sides depending on the day but this is definitely going to be a regular spot for me

I always come here with about 4-5 of my friends and we normally share a combo plate. These come with so much food that the four of us can share it and be completely full by the end of the meal. The staff is always awesome and willing to grab any refills we need during the meal. The restaurant is decorated very nicely. If you haven't, consider stopping in and checking it out!

Food tasted cheaper and portion sizes were smaller meat didn't even taste marinated won't be back

Just look at this incredibly fat ribeye. I mean, I know the ribeye is supposed to have a fat in it, but it seems like it's in the wrong place. Would you want a beef that you literally can't eat half of it?

Somehow a pretty good Korean BBQ spot in the middle of Michigan. Not sure why or how it's here but I was pleasantly surprised. It is not All-you-can-eat (which I prefer) you just order the things you want ala carte. It was a bit pricey for Michigan but the overall quality was worth it. Must order: LA Galbi (Beef). Beefy, meaty, goodness. This was the best for me. Cote Samgyup (Pork) the menu was confusing AF but this was basically regular samyupsal. Can't really go wrong with this here. Add some of the ban chan to a lettuce wrap with this for extra goodness. Would reconsider: Bulgogi. Was just okay for me. I've had a lot better and for slightly more, another order of LA Galbi would have been more worth it. Overall, again, solid and was not expecting this to be any good. They also have a small Korean goods shop for some kpop merchandise and KBeauty items as well as a boba/bingsu shop in the same complex area (boba was pretty terrible though)

The food was amazing, and tasty. A bit expensive but worth it, you get to cook your own Korean BBQ food. The soju, comes in many flavors, the bathroom is always clean so is the restaurant. The staff were nice and pretty accomadating, when I called about my little brother bringing outside food into the restaurant due to his autism, they were okay with it, and while my family ate good Korean food he ate McDonald's and watched ipad at the table. Totally recommend, this Korean BBQ

So good that we drive an hour to get here now after we moved far away. Even my date who doesn't eat a lot of spice loved it and had a wonderful time on his birthday!!!!!

The food was decent, but the service was disappointing. There was an issue with the side dish, and throughout my visit, no one checked in to see if I needed anything or offered to refill side dishes.

EXCELLENT spot if you are looking for high quality, authentic Korean cuisine. Fresh meat, quick service and team members dedicated to the experience of its customers. A true 5 star experience food wise. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The food here was so good I had to take it to-go. The staff was very easy to contact and the food was served quickly. It's a moderately quiet/loud place but just the right volume so you can chat with your friends.

Our food was very fresh and good. This was our first time eating at a Korean Barbeque. Nice atmosphere. Service was good too. We had the A2 pork combo and the A6 signature combo. Both very good! We would definitely go back.

This review is for their lunch menu. My family went here over the weekend and ordered nengmyun, mandoo, and seafood pajeon. Please believe me when I say the premade nengmyun packet you get from the Korean store is by far superior. The mandoo tasted spoiled which we spit out immediately. Seafood pajeon was just weird. It was overly thick and cakey. Service could also improve but that was the least of my worries. We paid $53 for terrible "Korean" food. Maybe the BBQ is good but let's be honest, you can't mess up on meat. This was honestly some of the worst Korean food I've had.

What a fun and new interesting place! The food was great, but the customer service was even better. We will definitely be coming back.

There are several Korean BBQ places here in Michigan, and Dae Bak is one of bbq place that is always included in the short list. They have a combination platter selection A1 through A6, And since we loved beef, It boils down to selecting A3 (Beef combo), Or A5 (Premium Galbi Combo), Either way, you will never go wrong. And what ever selection, it's good for 2 persons. Food: Always loved Korean BBQ. Meats are cooked DIY, and only takes 3-5 mins depending on the thickness of the meat. It comes with banchan or multiple small side dishes, salad, rice, soup and steamed egg . Service: One of the few restaurants, that has a buzzer/ ringer that each time you need assistance, you can always call assistance in one press of the button. And in a minute, someone will be in attendance to you, Ambiance: Well lit since one side is a glass window. Set up, - smoke are being vacuum down or up through the big pipe in the center. Noise: casual / group gatherings is normal, and since it's a family setting, noise is above average. Overall: Would recommend this place when looking for a casual dining.

Daebak is a really cool spot in the Seoul center in Southfield. There are a couple of shops in the center as well where you can browse while waiting for a table. Definitely a cool vibe and most of the tables are set up for KBBQ, although you can order other things off the menu which I have done before. Their tofu soup is delicious but very spicy and I ordered rice which is how I had always had it before. They did give us unlimited sides, but the service could have been better. When you need something you press a button on the table and they are quick to come. But when ordering KBBQ, they just put the meat and sauces down without much explanation and let you run with it, so for 1st timers it can be a little confusing. The seasonings were really tasty and there are definitely diverse options on the menu, and lots of food so watch out for leftovers.

The restaurant was busy. I'd definitely recommend placing a reservation ahead of time. The food was fantastic! The banchan was delicious, and the side salad hit the spot, refreshing your palette. We ordered the beef mandu, which was some of the best I've ever tasted. It was a fun experience with good meats! I also liked their button to call someone to your table. That was convenient. The ambiance was welcoming and not too loud. We would definitely return.

This place is incredible - we've been here multiple times and always so consistent. Food just tastes better when you're in charge of cooking it! We always get the mixed meat tray as it's our favorite as well as the bulgogi. The staff is always very helpful and the ambiance can get a little smoky (but it's not terrible because they have great ventilation). Highly recommend for a unique dining experience, fun for all ages!

3.5 The quality of food is good the service is terrible. You cook your meal over a grill built into the table. I brought my 13yr old and 7yr old. It was pretty busy. My 7yr old cooked all our meat with my supervision she loved it. It was hard to get anyone to bring us anything once we ordered. We couldn't get water or napkins. It took 15min just to pay my bill. I'd go back and just ask for the manager from the get go and tell them how bad the service was on our last visit.
