The Best Things to Do in Seoul, South Korea's Layered Capital | Condé Nast Traveler

"Jimbba functions both as a retailer of interesting Korean spirits and as a tasting room, where I could sample bottles that are hard to find back home." - Katie Chang

Four New Korean Soup Restaurants Have Opened In Queens | Eater NY

"One of three new local restaurants specializing in dweji gomtang (pork soup; when combined with rice it’s called gukbap or soup rice). Still owned by Sangjin Park, this down-home gomtang in Bayside mainly caters to Korean American seniors and opens at 7 a.m. for breakfast for early risers. A Chinese translation appears on the menu. The location had previously been a spot for Witch Topokki, and the closing of one restaurant to open a soup spot is cited as indicative of demographic shifts in the neighborhood as the Korean American population shrinks and ages while the local Chinese American demographic expands. Michelle Park, a representative of both this restaurant and the tofu spot, noted that tteokbokki appeals to a younger crowd (hence the Manhattan location) and that “We really had to think about who the residents are,” said Park." - Caroline Shin

I came here on a rainy day and it was the perfect choice. The atmosphere is cozy and not too crowded. The staff were welcoming as soon as I entered the restaurant. We got the Soft Tofu Stew and Seafood Pancake. Both were amazing and would recommend.

Ordered 소고기 국밥 & 우거지 국밥 Just what I was craving on a chilly day. The atmosphere was great and the place was very clean. Nice variety of side dishes, and the service was also excellent. Baby friendly as well 👍 We would definitely come back!

The fact that I keep coming back again and again says everything — this place is truly exceptional. Every visit reminds me why I love it so much. The soup is incredibly rich and comforting, full of deep, authentic Korean flavors. And the dumplings? Whether steamed or fried, they are absolutely perfect — crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. Everything here tastes clean, fresh, and homemade in the best way. If you’re looking for real, authentic Korean food that’s consistently delicious, this is the place. Easily one of the best Korean restaurants around. Highly recommend!

Review for 10/30/2025 My wife and I came to this restaurant around 9 PM after the heavy rainstorm passed. It’s one of the few places in the neighborhood that stays open late, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was great—quiet, clean, and spacious. We ordered the squid bibimbap and their signature beef rib soup. Both dishes were delicious and generously portioned. I really liked that the chef didn’t over-season the food, allowing guests to adjust the flavor to their own taste. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely return to try other dishes on the menu.

The food here was amazing and I had a great time with my family. Most Korean restaurants I’ve visited usually take their multigrain rice but this restaurant serves natural and fresh multigrain rice. In addition the ceilings are high and beautiful. Lastly dishes are constructed with stainless steel unlike other restaurants that usually serve using melamine. Highly recommend!

The gukbap is sooooo good! You know they have been cooking the broth for days. There was a good amount of beef. The bossam is delicious, and soft and tender. The seafood pancake was crispy and a good amount of seafood. The service is good. They were nice. We came with a group of 5 people, but it can definitely accommodate for more if you have a big group.

I traveled from NJ to try this place, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. I ordered the Ugeoji Gukbap (cabbage and beef soup) while my friend had the Seonji Gukbap (ox blood soup), and we were both impressed by the rich yet remarkably clean flavor. The soup was generously filled with meat and vegetables, which we really enjoyed. The Buchujeon (chive pancake) was outstanding as well. Overall, the portions were generous, and the service was excellent. Def going back!

Super nice. This place has so many good stuff. Food is more Korean style than Korean American style. I come often when I miss home food. People are nice and kind. Has good size of table for 4, 6 or more. I strongly recommend this place for Korean food lover and staters!!!! Visit and enjoy!!!!
