My family had The Tonkonsu 2010 today, my husband and I shared.. then we bought some to go for our friends. A few hours later my tummy started hurting and then my husband said he too. Then later that day when we met with our friends. They too had diarrhea. We were very disappointed. Jinya is supposed to be a reputable restaurant but this is just very upsetting!

My dining experience started off a little rocky as the table was still wet and a little dirty before we sat down and the hostess chose to alleviate it by just getting a napkin and wiping it, but not thoroughly cleaning. After that, the experience improved significantly, especially with the food. We arrived during happy hour and ordered the crispy chicken, a lychee martini, a beer, and the salmon poke tacos. As a bonus, we received shrimp tempura for free for checking in on Yelp. The shrimp tempura was a highlight for me—crispy and flavorful. The shell of the salmon poke tacos was also a standout, though I wasn’t a big fan of the crispy chicken, but my boyfriend really enjoyed it. He wasn’t impressed with the happy hour beer, but I loved the lychee martini, though it was a bit strong for me as someone who doesn’t drink much, but the lychee flavor was spot-on. For the main course, we each ordered the spicy chicken ramen—my boyfriend got the tangy cilantro ramen. We ended up liking each other’s ramen more and switched. The spicy chicken broth was a little bland for me, but the tangy cilantro broth was full of flavor, rich, and satisfying. I’d definitely recommend that one if you’re looking for something with depth! Overall, despite the rough start, the meal turned out to be enjoyable, especially with the right dishes.

The restaurant is fancier than other Jinya ramen I’ve ever been. I’’ve always like Jinya because they have Ramen with chicken broth and their noodle quality is good. But from all, we always crave for their crispy chicken.

Google
Food was decent. I enjoyed the creamy shrimp. I did not like the crispy chicken, there was stringy hair like material in the breading. The Birria ramen was just okay. I don’t think I can recommend. Cute area though.

I came with a party of 4. We were seated right away and every employee we came in contact with was friendly. We started with edamame. I highly recommend dipping into a little of that chili oil if you want a little spice. My sister ordered an impossible rice bowl with quinoa as well as an impossible bun. We were informed that they were out of quinoa for the rice bowl as well as vegan mayo for the impossible bun. The ramen we ordered was the Vegan red fire opal and the Jinya tonkatsu black. We also ordered a kid's meal. Everything was delicious! Service was fine. I would definitely come back.

[Update: Tried a vegan ramen, the Tsunami White Pearl. I'm dumbfounded a vegan broth is this thick and rich. Well executed Jinya.] Long Beach has a new Ramen Bar in town, and it's awesome. First, love the fire pit table outside, the inside has a nice warm atmosphere, very cozy ambient lighting. Staff is friendly and fairly attentive. The food however is what makes this place shine. I've only tried two Tonkotsu options (one spicy, one black garlic), but they were both slightly different. The black Tonkotsu used thin noodles, and the spicy used thick; both did an excellent job of holding the broth to the noodles while you slurp it up. Thick noodles were perfectly cooked as well, springy and ever so slightly al dente for a bit of chew. Waiter warned me from spice level five saying three was hot, and four was the perfect balance between heat and flavor for me, so kudos for that. The regular Tonkotsu broth is amazing, rich but actually not as heavy as some other places. The appetizers are also solid. Get the curry rice ball croquettes while you can, has that bit of oozy cheese inside, and the curry flavor isn't overdone. The sushi cones are neat, but maybe a little pricey ($5 for happy hour, I'd happily pay that all day). The tacos are different, definitely good portion to price and delicious. Edamame is well portioned, perfect with a pint of Sapporo as a snack. I'm legitimately glad this place opened, it's in the perfect spot between all the other ramen establishments. Definitely will be a regular.

Google
If you’re looking for vegan ramen in Long Beach, this is a good option. They opened recently so they are still figuring out a few quirks in terms of service. The food tastes the same as their other locations so that’s good. If you’re into tea, they serve Bigelow and Lipton. You’re warned. They also have happy hour!

Google
VERY busy on a Saturday-make reservation in line as I had a 45 minute wait to sit T the bar as a solo dinner. Sapporo beer and Chicken Ramen with addition of mushrooms. Next time I would add in spring onions as it is an option. Needs a leader to move tables quicker and one person to be in charge of Uber eats or take out orders. It is chaotic!!

Yelp
Came here for the second time and decided to try the Tonkotsu Red at a Spicy Level 4 after being pretty impressed my first visit. Was definitely still impressed after this one! The broth was creamy but not overly heavy which is common with a lot of Tonkotsu, so it struck just the rich balance of richness. All the ingredients tasted quality and the noodles were nice and thick and chewy. The ajitama (ramen egg) was quite good which to me always is a marker of a good ramen place. When it comes to spice level, I was tearing up a bit at level 4 but it wasn't overly spicy--I could've possible done a bit higher but it would have been a bit uncomfortable to drink the soup. If you're really into spice I would say level 4 is a nice base level to try. If you aren't super into spice but want something spicy I would maybe stick with level 2 or lower. Considering spice goes up to level 10 don't get overly zealous! As usual the parking here was pretty easy in the parking structure and didn't have to drive around much to find a spot. The wait was pretty short for a weekday night--only about 15 or so minutes for a party of 2. Service was also just as great this time around; food came out pretty fast! Would definitely be back if I was craving ramen and in the area!

Yelp
Many restaurants in this small shopping center, however Jinya was the only location that closes at 10pm. A friend and I had a taste for spicy ramen. Upon arrival there was a 10 minute wait. Uncertain as to why where we noticed plenty of seating at the bar. However.. no problem. Once we were seated, it took about 7 minutes for our order to be taken and 20 minutes until our dishes arrived. Spicy Chicken Ramen 3 small pieces of chicken. Expecting the flavor to send me over the edge. - it did not Crispy Chicken - only came with ponzu sauce.. however I would like at least 3 options of dipping sauces. Spring roll - 2 pieces with a side of s/p. That too should have came with a spicy mustard or a sweet tangy dipping sauce. Impossible Bun - not flavorful. Our waitress check on us once when it was close to closing and after our food was nearly gone. We had to flag them down just to inquire about anything. When our food was brought to the table, the waiter thumb was pressed against the lemon and lettuce on my crispy chicken plate. When it was time for the check, our waitress was sitting at the bar eating and did not make us aware that she would no longer be assisting us. I wished the customer service was consistent and I was truly hoping for the food to be packed with flavor. This was a miss for us. However, I'm glad many others had a positive experience!

Yelp
We really wanted to like this place, but we couldn't get a table. We came with a party of 5 at 6:30pm on a Wednesday. They are not really setup for parties larger than 4. Told us it would be a 30-40 min wait. We waited. Then they asked us to wait another 20. Too bad.

Yelp
*this is solely a DoorDash review*: After having Rakkan a few times I really wanted to try JINYA based on their Yelp reviews. Didn't feel like making dinner so I DoorDashed some ramen. I was very impressed by their vegetarian options and LOVED that they came with thick noodles. Ended up choosing the Vegan Flying Harvest. Unfortunately my ramen arrived cold and I had to heat up the broth but that's fine. My order was missing the tofu pictured online. I was interested in trying tofu with impossible meat. There were way too many onions in my ramen, both white and red. Need to try again.

Yelp
Really great spot for ramen. Came out with a party of 9, they seated us outdoor, the fireplace was on. The Yelp check in offers excellent amount of food that we didn't realize ordering a full meal was plentiful. The ramen had a well balance flavor, really love the bao they served. The bread was soft and moist. Even during the busy dinner hours the service was quick and I felt like they did an excellent job accommodating our large party. Will definitely be back

Yelp
This place has so many offerings. Their original tonkatsu original ramen. The noodles are okay, more commercial grade produced than other ramen restaurants. The broth is excellent. The service is excellent. They have a beautiful outdoor seating around a gas fireplace. This could be a great date place.

Yelp
Weirdly the star of the show for me was the tempura brussels sprouts. Just really crispy and light, great flavor. We got the tonkatsu black and the chicken ramen and both had good flavor. They offered free extra noodles, but we didn't need them since we were full anyways. Both had a good rich broth and we thought it was better than the average ramen place we've gone to. The restaurant was clean and nice, very comfortable. Great place to eat if you're in that mall.

Yelp
Service was slow, nearly nonexistent They were likely understaffed but still Took a while to be acknowledged We were overcharged for happy hour menu items The ramen at $18+ a bowl was underwhelming Nothing wowed me Tried the red and the black, both were ok The broth was not as rich as a tonkotsu should be They're having a promo this month - free noodle refills There are better ramen places around

I never understood why that's the case with all pork chashu bowls. Instead, thicker cuts of pork are utilized. Most of the meat is tender. However, there are some tough bits, which aren't particularly appetizing. The bowl had great flavor, perfectly medium softboiled egg and several accoutrement enhancing a hearty meal over rice. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=24&select=JPufxbEDwyMyUYsncYyJ5A Birthday Dessert Plate- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=ovUN3YYJOUEdxTQVZtI0sg The piece de resistance - mochi ice cream & panna cotta. I park across the street at Marketplace Long Beach (Trader Joe's/CPK), and stroll on over. JINYA Ramen Bar did not disappoint & I relished all the sumptuous food I redeemed in celebration of my birthday month. The food is great, with matching service. Yelp
Another one of those Instagram recommended places! Cool ambience inside and out. The bowls are big and many choices. Possibly the best ramen I've had, aside from what my daughter has made. If you run out of noodles you can ask for more to go with your broth, but it does cost. They also have a week day special that looks really good, ramen coupled with appetizers and a drink. This is in the 2nd and PCH center, if you look down the center towards the ocean, not the marina, It's straight ahead.

Yelp
Ramen was a great spicy leave I got 5 Broth was a little watery for me I like it thicker but great flavor service was friendly and attentive

Yelp
Was curious to try this ramen but was unfortunately underwhelmed for the price. The tonkotsu ramen was good but there was nothing particularly special about it, and at $20/bowl I was expecting something amazing and/or much larger. The yuzu shio was intriguing but the tangy citrus flavor was a little strong - I think it would be better served with cold noodles rather than hot ramen. Got this ramen delivered, so maybe it's better as a dine-in option. However, I think there's other ramen spots that give you more bang for your buck.

Yelp
I gave Jinya another shot and they have earned another star from me, upgrading my review to 4-stars. I came here with my parents and sister and ordered the following: - Edamame - Impossible Bun https://bit.ly/3yS7OOY - Impossible Rice Bowl https://bit.ly/3Xe9YSh - Vegan Red Fire Opal ramen https://bit.ly/4cBLSp6 Everything was very delicious! I was especially wowed by the flavor of the Impossible Bun and Impossible Rice Bowl. I especially liked that the rice bowl has the option to order a small size and there are so many layers of yummy ingredients such as crispy chickpeas, kale, pickled red cabbage, crispy garlic, and steamed rice. It also comes with a delicious curry ranch dressing that I love! I would easily order this dish again! There's only two reasons why I didn't fully upgrade this review to 5-stars: 1) They ran out of vegan mayo for the Impossible Bun 2) They ran out of quinoa/beans mix which I wanted to sub for the rice Perhaps those ingredients are really popular for the restaurant to be out by 1:30pm on a Saturday. To be fair, the waitress was very apologetic when sharing the not-so-great news with me. Also, the Impossible Bun was flavorful enough without vegan mayo because it comes with guac. All that said, I'm glad I had a better experience than my previous visit :)

Yelp
FOOD [4.5/5] The ramen here had really good flavor. The noodles were thin and tasty. The pork belly bao was delicious but a bit fatty for me personally. They have a Yelp check in with a free appetizer plate which included 2 karage chicken, a spicy tuna taco, and 3 pan fried dumplings. It was very generous and each person in my group recieved one for checking in. SERVICE [5/5] Our waiter was very hospitable and friendly. I came with a large group for friends and he was able to put a big table together outside for us so we could sit closest together rather than sit around the fire display. He also noticed we had brought a cake and offered to store it in the fridge. He was constantly checking in on us and was her accommodating. EXPERIENCE [5/5] Overall, I really enjoyed eating here! The waiter was great!

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch after going on a Duffy on the bay nearby. We had a party of 10 and the waiter was very accommodating with merging the tables together so we could be seated together. We each checked in on Yelp and got a free tapas plate which included two pieces of chicken karate, one spicy salmon taco, and three pieces of gyoza. It was very generous for a check in item! Super thankful that they let us each check in to get a plate. The service was phenomenal throughout our entire time dining there. The waiter kept checking in on us and updating on when the meal would be served since there was a large group of us. The ramen itself was average. The Yuzu Shio Delight had that citrus Yuzu flavor and I appreciated the uniqueness of the broth but unfortunately I don't think I would get it again. I just think there wasn't anything that wow'd me about the ramen. I think the tapas plate was the main star here! TDLR; Service: 10/10 | Food: 7/10

Yelp
1 star for the service. 3 star for the food. The service was absolutely horrible. It was lunch hour and we got there at 1130. There was only 2 staffs on the floor and they look like they hated their jobs. We were seated at the booth section and it was so congested, i asked if its okay to sit at the other table and the guy looked at me and rolled his eyes and said sure and he just took off and didnt even walk with us to take our orders. After ordering, we asked for water. We never got our water. The plates thats already plced on the table were dirty. Had to ask for new ones and they still cough an attitude. Since they are doing the endless noodles until the end of Nov. 2024. We asked for more noodles, they placed it wrong. We asked for 2 thick noodles and 1 thin noodles, we ended up getting 3 thick noodles. We told then we asked for 1 thin noodles and they said its not what we ordered and what was placed. So we asked them to place the order for thin noodles. We waited kore than 20mins for NO NOODLES TO COME OUT. We kepted asking whats the status on it, and they kepted going bck and forth to the kicthen and we had no update on it. It was simply just some heated noodles...which shouldnt even take more than 20 mins to get. At that time, the werent short staffed either. There was now 4 of them on the floor. After 30 mins of waiting, we just asked for the check and left. Horrible experience of all the jinya restaurants we've gone to.

Yelp
Great ramen spot!! We ate here recently for my mom's belated birthday. We sat on the patio facing the fire pit since we brought our little pug with us too. We checked in on Yelp and received a complimentary tapas plate. We were impressed with the tapas as it came with 2 large pieces of karaage, 3 fried gyozas, and a spicy tuna taco. Each item was very delicious but the spicy tuna taco was the showstopper. As for the ramen, we got the spicy tonkotsu at level 2 and the chicken ramen. The chicken ramen had a very flavorful clean broth. The chicken was also very soft and tender. The spicy tonkotsu was our favorite. The broth was incredibly rich. The spice was the perfect amount of heat which complemented the broth well. Noodles were very bouncy and chewy and the chashu was thick with a very nice char. We added extra grated garlic to our ramen which really enhanced the flavor even more. Overall experience here was great. The food here is superb. We are officially fans of Jinya and cannot wait to come back. They also have a good loyalty program too!

Yelp
First time there. Was immediately greeted at the door and told to choose a seat. I ordered the Origional tonkatsu ramen. It arrived quickly and was as shown in the picture on the menu. There was an egg that was whole. In most places the egg is cut in half. The noodles were cooked well and the soup was very tasty. The pork was cooked so done it was like jello. The service was excellent and the waiter checked several times to see if I needed/wanted anything else. There was outside seating as well as indoor seating. I will return in the future to try other menu offerings.

Yelp
I have been meaning to try their ramen even before they opened. They replaced the previous Japanese eatery many years ago. I had high hopes, especially after reading other reviews and seeing the large crowds at the restaurant. When my son and I finally tried their ramen, I was underwhelmed. The broth was decent, but not as flavorful as I had hoped. The pork was well-prepared, but also lacking something. The texture of the noodle also failed to live up to my expectation. The crispy chicken appetizer was good. So good that I ate it too quickly and lightly burned the roof of my mouth. Their wonderful service was the shining aspect of the overall dining experience. We did not have to wait long for an early Sunday dinner. It seems that the crowd has died down over the past few months.

Yelp
Great happy hour deals. The quinoa salad portion is huge and flavorful and the Chicken Karaage is also a generous portion of 5 big pieces of chicken thigh - juicy, crispy, umami just how we like it! Shout out to our server Kelly for being great and making our toddler feel welcomed.

Yelp
Wow, just wow! The atmosphere of this place feels like when I was back in Japan 10 years ago. A bit on the warm side to have ramen, but hey, I was in the mood for it. Jinya is nestled right in the back of the 2nd & PCH shopping center in Long Beach, across the street from Gelson's Market, near Whole Foods Market, so after a nice lunch, you are able to have a nice 10-15 minute walk around the mall, which is outdoors. I was going back and forth as far as choosing between the Tonakatsu Black with the Black Garlic oil and the Tonkatsu Red (which was what I ordered), and the Red it was. After having Vietnamese pho for the past couple of weeks, I thought it was time for a change in scenery - they put in only two pieces of tonkatsu, but the flavors of both the garlic and chili was perfect. There was a perfect amount of wood ear mushroom as well as the green onion, and that soft-boiled egg tasted perfectly cooked. The broth was a bit on the thick side, but the noodles tasted Al-dente; not too chewy but not too thick, either. For $50 (not including tax), for 3 people,I thought it was worth the drive since it's not too far from my end of HB. Now, as far as it being comparable to other places like Kabuki in HB at Bella Terra or Ramen & Tsukenmen TAO all the way up in Buena Park... yeah, I'd give it to JINYA.

Yelp
Solid ramen! Really nice interior! very aesthetic! Very americanized and not very japanese. Anyways, you can park at the structure but there's free parking at the lots across the street near towards the ocean. Came here on a weekday when it opened in the morning. Got seated immediately. My chair felt very sticky though. I ordered the regular jinya ramen with a combo of chashu bowl and side salad. The ramen itself was a lot of food so I took the chashu bowl to-go. Ramen is good, the noodles are very very thin, I don't think I ate noodles as thin as this place. The chashu bowl was really good, I recommend. It doesn't have a lot of fat and also has mushrooms on top. Side salad I didn't like because it was drenched heavily with dressing. Staffs are nice, they're very quick. They checked on us frequently. I did notice my water cup had food particle stuck on the outer side of the cup. Makes me question how well they clean their dishes.

Yelp
Had a whole morning open so decided to drag Mom and pup to 2nd and PCH for a quick walk around, shopping (window, or otherwise) and build an appetite to eat at one of their pet-friendly digs in here. I gave Mom the choice: Japanese, Chinese or Italian. She wanted ramen, given it's kind of a chilly day. And it didn't help we were so close to the shore. So, after walking around to work up an appetite, we found ourselves up in here within the opening hour and were seated immediately on their heated patio (given we had the pup and all.) I had the chance to look over their menu before coming through so I was decided what to get. Mom, on the other hand, sometimes gets overwhelmed, so I made it easy on her and suggested the JINYA Tonkatsu original (2010.) We also put in a couple of starters as well as an iced green tea (for me) to wash it all down. (Mommers was good with water.) JINYA BUN: Bun was soft. Pork was seasoned and prepped also soft. The sauce and mayo added to the taste and the veggies gave texture as well as neutralized the salt level. We almost ordered an extra round! Delish! SALMON POKE TACOS: Comes in a pair. They're small but packed with so much flavor. The salmon was fresh and the sesame oil wasn't overpowering. Very little fillers. The shell was crispy and not greasy. Also a great starter! TONKOTSU BLACK: This is my first time here, but I've been to a couple of other JINYA spots and this bowl is always my go-to. I must say they are incredibly consistent with this. The first thing I love about this bowl is that it comes with thin noodles (my personal preference for any ramen, really.) The broth had so much depth in flavor. The black garlic oil was not overwhelming. The egg was perfectly soft boiled and seasoned. The chasu was tender and juicy and the seaweed added aroma and flavor. What more could I ask for? FOOD: 5. Everything was so perfect, we didn't even need extras. SERVICE: 5. Also perfect. They made sure we had everything we needed. They checked on us at perfect times. Friendly faces with friendly smiles. VALUE: 5. It was worth every penny! PARKING: Located in 2nd and PCH. First 90 minutes are free. it can get busy on the weekends, so plan accordingly. OVERALL: 5. We were told they had a special: unlimited noodles until May. I was really tempted to get more, but I had too much to do for the day for an induced food coma... Amazing first run! There will be many return visits in the future!

Yelp
Ordered JINYA Tonkotsu Black. Good flavors within the broth. Amount of food is light. Service was great! Server was attentive. Great decor. As you can see the art is beautiful and the fire pit is classy.

Yelp
Was ready to try this spot at a slower time. Got there and it was only us and a couple of other tables. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Ordered an appetizer, husband took a bite, then someone came and took it from our table and said they will have to get us another. We were confused, no explanation. Anyways, we got another one and they took it off of our bill, which was very nice but the no explanation and the cook behind the counter was laughing? That made me not even wanna eat cause what's funny, I felt uncomfortable at that point. Anyways the professionalism is not here. For sure wont be back or suggest this place.

Yelp
We had a few different ramens, mine was definitely spicy. For apps, we had takoyaki and fried chicken but then we got the free apps x3 from checking in on Yelp which turned out to be a lot of food for 4 people. Ended up taking home half of them home which i'm not complaining about. All the food was delicious! Ambiance was good, moderately loud. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Yelp
Nothing major to report. Came here expecting amazing ramen but it was just ok. Table service was great, and overall vibe is alright. Probably won't make our way back anytime soon.

Jinya is quickly becoming one of my favorite ramen spots. They have lots of seating both inside and out and service has always been on point. They offer Happy Hour deals and the Yelp check-in offer is amazing. You get a whole platter of small bites and our server asked both of us to check in which I thought was going to cover one platter, but he brought us each our own! It was a lot of food before we even ordered our ramen. The menu is pretty extensive as far as ramen shops go. They offer options with tonkotsu, chicken, shio and wontons among others. My favorite is the Jinya Original Tonkotsu 2010. The flavors are so well developed, I love the extra thick noodles, and the pork and egg are perfectly prepared. The menu also consists of small plates, rice bowls and curry, salads and more with plenty of beverage options including alcohol too.

Yelp
We had our department lunch here and it wasn't good to me at all. I've frequent the one in Eastvale and it's really good and flavorful. Not sure if it was because it was 21 of us or what. The broth had no flavor and the wontons looked like they were previously frozen. The lemonade taste like water it wasn't good. The service was ok that's why I gave them 2 stars except the women's restroom was out of order so you could only use the men's room I won't return

Yelp
Food was delicious! My boyfriend and I got the salmon tacos, lycheetini, and sapporo beer for the happy hour price and it was all very satisfying. Our ramen was the perfect portion and had delicious flavor. I will say the Shrimp Wonton Ramen was a bit bland so I wish I got more toppings. Service was quick and our server, Leanne, was very kind. The lighting was perfect for dinnertime and the environment was very vibey.

Yelp
I took the kiddos to lunch at Jinya Ramen Bar because their kids meal is the best. It comes with a mini rice bowl, a small bowl of ramen (no meat), two pieces of kaarage, a small salad, a lollipop (which I hide upon arrival), and last but not least, ice cream. It's such a good deal. For the price, sometimes I want to order the kids meal for myself. The kids love the options and I always split it since they are both toddlers. I got the Tonkotsu Black. Always delicious. We arrived at noon on a Tuesday and were seated immediately. The people who work here are great. The vibe is very casual, but also hip and cool. I parked in the garage and because there was no wait, I got out of the shopping center in time to avoid any parking fees (I think it's 90 minutes for free).

Yelp
First time trying this place. Since it's close to the house why not. We had their fried chicken as the appetizer . For the main course I had the Premium Tonkostu Red, level 5 spicy, and ..Oh Maaaaah GEEEERD!! The place is clean, so that's a plus, their service was great, the ambience was perfect, not too loud not too quiet. Over all great portions for the price and the quality of the meals were superb! Come check them out and ENJOY!!

Yelp
It was cool afternoon and we had plans to be at 2nd and PCH today to head to the YEE Caffe Luxxe Event (which we attended, reviewed found elsewhere in my profile). We were getting hungry on the way and wanted something somewhat light but filling. Well, she wanted something light, I hadn't eaten at all yet so I was hungry. The SO recalled JINYA because they had vegan options and I was down for ramen. I've seen this place many times, but never stopped by, so we decided now is a good time. It wasn't terribly busy when we entered. The place seemed like to have a street food look with a bar? It definitely looks cool, but I'm here to chow down. We were seated and looked through the menu. My SO has her own review, but I eyeballed the chicken wonton ramen immediately (actually, I was stuck between shrimp or chicken, but I decided on chicken). Sidenote: For some odd reason, I have the hardest time finding wonton mein (Wonton noodle soup) in LA. Maybe I have to go to SGV to find it but all I've been craving is a simple wonton mein. For reference on what it should look like, see this Yelp review (and IFKYK): https://www.yelp.com/biz/seven-treasures-cantonese-restaurant-chicago?hrid=5qdcoAexghlN2-hEerr60A&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Because of my quest to find wonton noodle soup (aka wonton mein), this is going to be the closest I can get. Thin noodles, wontons, tasty broth. No one has been able to do it like Seven Treasures in Chicago (now closed after 40+ years in business) but this hits the craving for now. My quest will continue. edit: After posting this, I looked up EA Seafood's menu (which I reviewed earlier before this review) and apparently they have it. Time to give it a shot there.

Yelp
i visited jinya location in canoga park with my best friend and had such an amazing experience plus the food was delicious! i wanted to take my s/o the location closer to us, but still about a 30m drive to 2nd & pch we visited on the wknd and arrived around 5:20pm when we walked up to the restaurant stand, there was no one there, no one was sat in the patio. it actually looked closed. i saw movement through the tinted glass and about a min or so, someone came out to greet us and show us to our table. we opted for patio, as i had my pup in his stroller with us. we made it in time for HH, which had a limited items HH is from 3-6pm we ordered: Crispy Chicken 10/10; the chicken is so crispy and consistent Garlic Shrimp Spring Roll 8/10; these were good but not worth the price JINYA Chicken Ramen 8/10; love their noodles JINYA Tonkotsu Black; 8/10; broth was great food was great. service was another story which just made our meal mehhh we didnt know who our waiter was, we had about 4 different people come to our table the apps, drinks and food came out fairly quick i had to go inside bc no one came to our table after our food was dropped off we needed refills and garlic when i went inside, there were not busy at all, there was about 3 parties. but everyone kinda just looked at me when i walked in, a nice tall guy walked all the way from the bar and gave me everything i needed (garlic and to go boxes) but they were quick to drop off the bill such a bummer bc there space is really beautiful parking: complimentary 90m , parking garage

Yelp
Updated review! Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and needed veggie friendly options. Ended up ordering the Spicy Umami Miso Ramen and it was very tasty! Really flavorful broth and I really liked the thick noodles. Everyone else was pretty happy with their bowls, as well. Got to try the brussel sprouts tempura and it was yummy! Definitely would stop by again. Service was good and food came out in a timely manner. Only downside was that the restaurant was a bit warm and essentially the same temperature as outside, so it did get a little hot while eating hot ramen. Overall a really pleasant improvement!

Yelp
I highly recommend this establishment. For Ramen they offer a wide range of spice levels, from 1 to 10, and I opted for level 3, which I found to be quite spicy. If you prefer a milder flavor, I suggest ordering level 2. The ramen was very flavorful, perfectly cooked, i changed my noodles to thin, they have thin egg noodles plus medium & fat noodles the waiter said. Was not disappointed! The chicken wings were also bomb.. https://yelp.to/cOesf7Pn6B #ramen #longbeach #longbeachfood #jinya https://www.facebook.com/100094862760021/posts/pfbid02z4w3kQKYwHGsUwhSRQjmwfWL9Hr9bfWJt9vMEZv6VorCg1pdwXGReGXntdGtpAkDl/?mibextid=cr9u03

Yelp
My dining experience started off a little rocky as the table was still wet and a little dirty before we sat down and the hostess chose to alleviate it by just getting a napkin and wiping it, but not thoroughly cleaning. After that, the experience improved significantly, especially with the food. We arrived during happy hour and ordered the crispy chicken, a lychee martini, a beer, and the salmon poke tacos. As a bonus, we received shrimp tempura for free for checking in on Yelp. The shrimp tempura was a highlight for me--crispy and flavorful. The shell of the salmon poke tacos was also a standout, though I wasn't a big fan of the crispy chicken, but my boyfriend really enjoyed it. He wasn't impressed with the happy hour beer, but I loved the lychee martini, though it was a bit strong for me as someone who doesn't drink much, but the lychee flavor was spot-on. For the main course, we each ordered the spicy chicken ramen--my boyfriend got the tangy cilantro ramen. We ended up liking each other's ramen more and switched. The spicy chicken broth was a little bland for me, but the tangy cilantro broth was full of flavor, rich, and satisfying. I'd definitely recommend that one if you're looking for something with depth! Overall, despite the rough start, the meal turned out to be enjoyable, especially with the right dishes.

Yelp
Parking can be validated at the bungalow upstair so if theres a long wait, you wont be rushing back to the car. There is outdoor dining with a fireplace. There is a place to sit at the bar inside. Decor is warm and friendly. The waiters are dressed in black. There was unlimited noodles back in November but it ended. Will add more to this later.

Yelp
We had a party of 10 and the waiter was very helpful in combining outdoor tables so that we could all sit together, which was much appreciated! We also checked in for the free tapas platter, which included 2 pieces of chicken karage, 1 spicy shrimp taco, and 3 pieces of gyoza. My personal favorite was the karage, which was so crispy and juicy! We also got the black tonkotsu ramen, which had so much flavor & the noodles were the perfect firmness in my opinion. Overall, I would come back & recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Walking into JINYA Ramen Bar in Long Beach felt like stumbling upon a hidden culinary gem. I had heard a bit of buzz about it, so I couldn't resist checking it out for myself. Deciding to go all-in, I ordered the Premium Tonkotsu Red Spice level 3. Let me tell you, it packed a punch! Despite the heat, the flavors were on point. To round out the meal, I went for the Tokyo curry and salad combo, along with some gyoza and fried chicken on the side. Everything hit the spot perfectly. The patio had a great vibe, buzzing with energy and making it a fun spot to hang out. Overall, JINYA Ramen Bar made a lasting impression on me. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu and soak up the lively atmosphere again.

Yelp
The ramen game is so strong in SoCal right now, I had to give them a 3. It was my first time, so next time I'll reassess and hopefully improve this rating. The creamy shrimp tempura appetizer was great! I'd give it a 5. But the chicken ramen was not great. I didn't love the flavor, only took 2 bites of the actual chicken but couldn't stomach more. The taste was very...... unappealing. There was also too much spinach so I picked out quite a bit of it. The skinny noodles were a underwhelming as well. But this is in comparison to some excellent ramen I've had. The place is cute, wait was short, staff was nice. So I'd be willing to recommend it and try again but wouldn't order the chicken ramen. My boyfriend had gluten free noodles and liked them.

Yelp
I tried a few Jinya locations and liked all their ramens. This location was huge compared to others. I had the tonkotsu black and for some reason it just tasted mediocre this time. Also ordered the crispy rice with spicy tuna, which I expected a crunchy crust but did not get any. The jinya bun had good flavor. Service was normal. Ambiance and free 90 minute parking are the positives here.

Yelp
Staff was nice. We were seated pretty quickly. The place was clean inside with options of sitting outside or inside. Spicy chicken ramen was really good as well as the gyoza and variety of tacos. Since we were hungry and the food looked great, only had time for one pic.

Yelp
After having the wonton chicken ramen from Jinya Ramen bar for the first time, I had to come back soon because the chicken broth was so unique and flavorful! The first time I came here, I enjoyed an early Ramen dinner with my mom on a Tuesday night. It wasn't very crowded, and we had our puppy with us, so we ate outside in front of the fire (the heaters weren't working and it has been getting cold out). Sitting in front of the fire was nice and cozy- it really changed the ambiance of the meal and elevated it. I ordered the wonton Chicken Ramen and really loved the flavor of the broth so much, it reminded me of a deeply flavored homemade chicken stock. I also really liked the texture, taste and flavor of the ramen, along with my toppings (spinach, green onions, bok choy and nori dried seaweed), and the taste of the wontons; but my absolute favorite part of the ramen was the flavor of the broth. My mom ordered the Tokyo curry plate and she liked the flavor of it, but after trying my ramen and the flavor of my broth, she said she'd order the chicken wonton ramen next time too. The service was pretty quick and our server was very attentive - as he refilled our drinks for us many times and charged as us soon as we put our card down to pay. I enjoyed my dinner here - the service was great, the ambiance was amazing and quiet, while the food was phenomenal and flavorful. In fact, we enjoyed our dinner here so much that we came back a couple of days later to place an order of the wonton chicken ramen to go and enjoyed it in front of the Marina. What a treat! I can't wait to go back and enjoy their homemade noodles and delicious broth! Yummy.

Yelp
While touring California State University Long Beach, we went to Jinya Ramen Bar which is located in the 2nd and PCH shopping complex. I had the Jinya Tonkostu Black Ramen while my companion had the Salmon Poke Bowl. The Jinya Tonkostu Black Ramen has pork broth, pork chashu, kikurage, green onion, dried seaweed, seasoned egg, garlic chips, garlic oil, fried onion and spicy sauce served with thin noodles. The Salmon Poke Bowl has poke marinated salmon and onion over steamed rice. We both liked our lunches. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very elegant even while being in a shopping complex. Service was very good and friendly. I will return if and in the neighborhood and in the mood for ramen.

Yelp
We've been to Jinya many times and really enjoy the food. During our last visit in November our server was Vuong and he was outstanding! By far the best customer service we've received at Jinya to date. The place can be casual, great for a date night or even family dining. Our kids love Jinya as much as we do and the menu selection is great. They also offer outdoor seating and have a pretty fireplace if you are looking to dine outdoors.

Yelp
It was extremely busy when we came on weekend for lunch. They did say they were short-staffed but it took a long time to be seated and ultimately served. The high ceilings make the space feel bigger than it is and there's a nice outdoor patio with people dining around the firepit. For the month of October, they were offering unlimited noodles with your ramen order. Sign me up! I got the JINYA Tonkotsu original 2010 bowl and I thought it was decent. The broth was flavorful but didn't pack the punch I was expecting. Overall, the bowl was decent and I definitely prefer the thicker noodles over the thinner noodles. I'm glad to know Jinya Ramen is in this plaza if I'm looking for ramen.

Yelp
So happy to have a great ramen place in Long Beach with lots of vegan options, a full bar, and a great kids meal. The spicy creamy vegan ramen is DELISH. The kids meal comes with a small bowl of ramen, fried chicken, fries, a bowl with ground meat and rice, and a scoop of ice cream for dessert. It's a really generous portion! Parking is super easy. Warning about WiFi is that if you sit indoors, WiFi service is not great. My niece had her iPad and we had to use my hotspot so she could use her iPad during dinner.

Yelp
Obsessed with this spot! I found it after my fave foodie influencer posted about it in September (Raina), and it's lived up to the hype. So far, I've tried the Tonkotsu Black, Tonkotsu Original, and Yuzu Shio--all of them were hits! The vibe is always great: the game's on TV, the music was perfect, it's the perfect cozy spot for a cold night, & always great for a date night. Shoutout to Freddie, our go-to server, who always recommends the best ramen--we've loved everything he's suggested. We've tried so many ramen spots around Long Beach, but this one's our favorite for the quality, location, and amazing service. I'll be back to try their lunch combo and the new cocktails on the menu (the lychee soju is already becoming a fav). The only downside is the bathrooms--one's out of order, so the other gets messy sometimes. But honestly, the ramen and vibes more than make up for it. I highly recommend this place! Sorry no pics, food was too good.
