VISIT Sunday, July 20th: Had an AMAZING first experience at this restaurant! Every single bite was delicious. All of the dishes were hot, fresh and the ramen was the best we have had since moving from California. The African American young lady with braids who served us was pleasant and spot on! She made sure we didn't have to ask for refills or napkins. We sat upstairs near the windows and it was warm. We didn't feel any breeze in that area. Otherwise, no complaints!

Service is terrible, lacking in timeliness and accuracy. I had a reservation for a Birthday dinner party of seven 8:15 pm. The manager put an inexperienced server on a large party. Poor decision making skills. Paris , please start over, day one basic training. I mean, every mistake was made in the book. Appetizers took forever to come out. The Ramen took even longer to come out. Paris messed up Everybody's order at the table, double charged them, forgot food ordered in to go order, forgot food that was supposed to come to the table. Many of the things we ordered, didn't come out. They were never even rung in. She Kept mixing up lychee margaritas and lychee martinis wrong on the bill. Know the menu pay attention to detail . Multiple guests bills were wrong, multiple guests overcharged. Multiple Guests did not receive the items they ordered. It was a mess highly disappointed. The food is good, but the service is trash. I would not recommend for a large party. We waited over an hour for our Ramen to come out. The restaurant was closed by the time we even got our food. And why are y'all putting mixed greens at the bottom of the seaweed salad disgusting. The food is good, but the service is highly lacking, unprofessional, slow, and excessively error ridden. Furthermore, it was hot as hell. I'm not sure what was going on with the air-conditioning, but it was nonexistent very uncomfortable.

Visited DC with family and chose this restaurant for dinner because of the great reviews on Google and Uber Eats. We knew the platforms charge extra fees, but still decided to spend $4.24 x 2 for two bowls of rice. What we got was shocking — the photo shows the untouched portion. The bowls were already small, but they only filled them halfway, with a visible gap in the middle. Honestly, I’d really like to ask the restaurant if they think this portion is acceptable. As for the rest of the meal — the ramen was very average, and the fried chicken was tough and overcooked.

Google
The food was delicious, and our server was very accommodating. The music was a bit loud, which made having a conversation a tab bit difficult. However, overall, I would highly recommend eating at this location. Would also like to suggest reserving a table as this place can get crowded during the weekend.

Google
A very busy Ramen spot with a relaxed atmosphere. Good for families, groups or lone counter seating. Juicy thick well glazed pork bun, broth was thick and complex with tender chasu slices. Quick service, was seated after a short wait.

I am not kidding you when I say this is one of the best Ramen that I’ve ever tasted in my life. The broth was creamy yet hearty, and the attention to detail of the staff was incredible. Highly recommend for anyone that is in the area in for anyone that is visiting. I will sure be back when I’m here.

“Overrated” I recently visited this restaurant on a rainy day with my baby in a stroller, and unfortunately, the experience was far from welcoming. The hostess—a young woman with straight black/dark brown hair and a few layered necklaces—was shockingly rude from the start. I initially thought maybe that’s just her personality, but it became clear otherwise. She even rolled her eyes at a male staff member who kindly offered to help me while my baby was crying, and she looked at my baby with visible disdain. Later, I noticed her throwing items on the table near other staff in an aggressive way, which made the environment feel tense and uncomfortable. Tired of waiting for her to return, I walked to the table and asked the male staffer directly to process my payment. He was respectful and helpful—completely opposite of her attitude. And stars here are for him! As for the food, it was underwhelming. The crispy chicken was overly oily—juicy not from good cooking, but because it was soaked in oil. The chicken ramen had an overpowering “chickeny” taste that my husband found unpleasant. The only dish we actually enjoyed was the gyoza. Between the poor service and mediocre food, I honestly don’t understand the hype around this place. I won’t be returning.

Google
The food was good, but there was only two pieces of chicken for the whole bowl of ramen. We got both desserts, and they were AMAZING! So were the tempura'd Brussel sprouts. Boom recommended the vegan ramen because of the depth of broth flavor, and he wasn't wrong!

Yelp
Jinya Ramen Bars are our go-to for ramen in the DMV. I've lived in Japan a total of 7 years so I know what I want & don't always get it. Jinya delivers! Not literally, well maybe literally, I digress. This was my first time to this location and it's bigger than it seems from the outside. Our server Lee was sweet and friendly. The hostess, however, was either really shy or did not want to be there. Jury's still out on her. It was a frigid Saturday 3 weeks ago when we went in so the ramen hit the spot. BUT - the Curry Rice Croquettes completely stole the show for me! I haven't stopped thinking about them and told my family how great they were and that we have to go get some. These need to be on the menu full time, not just as a limited time Chef's Special! I miss Japanese curry and haven't quite found what I'm searching for with that, but these amazing fried balls of curry goodness sure did dance mouth. I can't wait to go back for more & bring the fam.

Yelp
After a long day of meetings, our group of nine was craving something hearty to warm us up on a chilly DC evening--ramen was the obvious choice. We headed to Jinya Ramen, knowing that getting a table for a large group might be a challenge. I tried to make a reservation, but they don't take any on a Saturday night. The host estimated a 30-40 minute wait, which wasn't too bad, especially since they had a bar and an indoor waiting area--a much-appreciated perk on such a cold night. While the bar was a bit short-staffed, meaning drinks took a little longer, we didn't mind too much. I ordered the Matcha Lychee Lemonade, and it was delicious! The flavors complemented each other well, and at $12-$17 per cocktail, the drinks were reasonably priced for the area. After 35 minutes, we were seated, and the service was great throughout the meal. I went with their signature Jinya Tonkotsu Black, which was rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The pork broth had great depth, and the chashu pork was tender with a nice amount of toppings. The portion size was solid--definitely hit the spot after a long day. One thing to note: the restaurant is loud, but we were still able to hear each other and enjoy our time. Also, they let us know upfront that a 20% tip was already included, which was helpful. Overall, Jinya delivered a great ramen experience, even with the slight wait and busy bar. Would definitely come back when I'm in the area again!

Yelp
Came here by myself after a long flight was the ramen was a great comfort food. Order the black garlic ramen and it was pretty delicious, added side dishes including the spinach and bamboo and their famous fried chicken. Overall the food was great but bit pricey, the bowl of ramen plus the two side dishes and 3 pieces of fried chicken were almost $40. Food, service and ambience were all pretty nice- just a bit pricey!

Yelp
I came here once before and It didn't disappoint. I'm glad to say their food is still amazing lol. The people here are so helpful. We were walk ins and they went above and beyond to find us a seat. I live the vibe here. This time around i didn't get ramen and just got a bunch of small plates and they were bomb! I highly reccomended the chicken and the eggplant. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We came to DC for a long weekend during Thanksgiving. Our first night was on actual Thanksgiving so most places were closed. This spot thankfully saved the day for us and other diners not having traditional Thanksgiving dinners. We were very grateful to the staff working on a holiday. I ordered the JINYA Tonkotsu Black ramen and my fiancé got the Chicken Chashu Bowl. I found myself wishing the broth of my ramen was more rich. The noodles were ok. They had the traditional elements of good ramen in the dish though. The pork was very yummy. My fiancé said his bowl was very plain, but when he added the sauce they had it made it exactly what he was craving. We sat on the second floor. The place is very trendy.

Yelp
Jinya Ramen is the classic ramen spot for a warm, comforting bowl of ramen in the DMV area. I recommend you try their happy hour menu! Service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance here feels more casual compared to their other locations, plus the restaurant has bar seating for a quick meals. I tried their Jinya chicken ramen with chicken wontons and chicken char siu. The broth was flavorful with a good balance of umami while feeling quite light. I will give a disclaimer if you come from an Asian background, the dish came with HK style egg noodles and spinach, so it's not exactly Japanese chicken ramen tori paitan. It felt more like a Cantonese wonton mein dish, which is not a bad thing on its own, just caught me be surprise. I would like to return in the future to try their tonkatsu ramen

Yelp
We always make it a point to visit this spot in DC for a great bowl of ramen. So far, this has some of the best ramen broth I've had, with a richness that closely resembles authentic Japanese ramen. We typically go for the Black Ramen, and it never disappoints--it always fills us up. The service is consistently excellent, and even when the place is busy, they have a system in place that keeps everything running smoothly and organized. While there's only indoor seating, they do have a bar area, which adds a nice touch and makes it an even more inviting place to visit. If you're looking for a solid ramen recommendation, Jinya is definitely one of our top picks.

Yelp
So, I met up with my homeboy for lunch yesterday around 1:20 PM, and let me just say--finding parking was like playing an intense game of hide and seek! After circling a few times, I finally snagged a street spot (victory dance in my head). By the time I walked in, my friend was already halfway into his ramen and spicy creamy shrimp tempura, happily sipping away on his drink like he'd won the lunch lottery. Of course, his ramen looked too good to ignore, so I had to ask the server what it was. Turns out, it was called the Cha Cha Cha--and wait for it--it's on the secret menu! I immediately felt like I was in the VIP club. Now, let me warn you, this secret ramen isn't your typical bowl--it's got a higher price tag at $23, but trust me, it's worth every penny. Garlic lovers, this one's for you! The broth was garlicky, flavorful, and incredibly filling--basically, a garlic explosion in the best way possible. I asked for a seasoned egg (because, why not?), only to realize it already came with one. I mentioned it to our server, and he said he'd already added it to the order but would take it off the bill. Spoiler alert: I didn't notice until today that the egg was still on there, but hey, extra egg, extra joy, right? To wash it all down, I ordered a mocktail, and let me tell you, the bartender Andres worked some serious magic. He whipped up his own concoction, and it was absolutely divine. Our server Andres was super friendly, attentive, and even creative, keeping the vibe upbeat throughout. We wrapped up lunch around 2:20 PM, got the check, to-go containers for my homeboy's leftovers, and a bag to carry it all out. The total came to $99 for two Cha Cha Cha bowls, one spicy creamy shrimp tempura, a seasoned egg, two non-alcoholic drinks, and two Hendricks. We split the bill evenly, and all in all, it was a fantastic experience--minus the sneaky egg I just caught today.

Yelp
This place was so wonderful! I stopped in for a quick lunch while I was working from home and they accommodated my laptop at a spot a the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful, she made a great rec and chatted about the options. They were on top of filling my water and checking in with me while I ate there. Every server was smiling and friendly throughout the entire duration. My salmon poke bowl was fresh, rich, yet simple and delicious! Was so pleasantly surprised on this spontaneous lunch outing. Loved!

Yelp
When winter hits hard, this is the place to be. Whether you're warming up after a long day or just indulging in a soul-satisfying meal, Jinya Ramen proves that a perfect bowl of ramen is the cure for the cold. The staff here is exceptional--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ramen. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned ramen enthusiast, they're always ready to guide you through the menu, offering recommendations based on your taste preferences

Yelp
Jinya Ramen Bar is a hip two story ramen and bar with good alcohol spirits located around the Logan Circle. Upon entering, you're greeted with pumping music and was given a choice to eat on the first floor or second floor. We opted for the corner table on the 2nd floor offering an urban view into a neighborhood street. The ramen is on par and super deliciously flavorful. We tried 4 different bowls each have a distinguishable soup base. My only complaint is the soup is not piping hot (but rather lukewarm that you can see the chili oil solidified). It sort of ruins the appearance and appetite. The ramen noodles are al dente and chewy. We tried the shrimp wonton ramen but the noodles were the standard egg noodles found in Chinese restaurants so that was a bit disappointing. Overall, the service was good, food was great and atmosphere is welcoming for groups.

Ruby N.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this restaurant and there was a spacious interior. The employees were nice and had great service. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen which was pretty good but would be amazing with a little more kick. We also ordered the curry chicken rice and the chicken pieces were super small and grinded but the curry was really flavorful.

Yelp
Dropped in for lunch and I was not disappointed. I love ramen especially from Jinya so I'm happy it met my expectations. Customer service was great, I never went without water or napkins. They also cleared off the bar fast when I finished with a dish. The atmosphere here was pretty lively and it was nice they had tv's with the Olympics showing. Not much parking besides street and nearby lots or garages so I typically ride share to this area. Pretty pricey as usual so I wish Jinya offered more lunch options for a prorated cost.

Yelp
This spot in particular definitely carried positive energy from my first interaction from the host. Not only did she give me directions to a closer metro stop she also gave me a glass of water because she saw I was dying from my 30 mile walk. But to be honest the whole staff had great and fun energy and the food definitely was on point. Unfortunately it wasn't in season for the Karrage chicken I would've like to have but the wonton sufficed. If you're into positive Ramen energy this is the perfect spot to feed that sensation!
google avatar

Joyce K.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night without a reservation and was able to sit at the bar without any problems. It was a little chilly outside and so we were excited to warm up with some ramen bowls. My friend got the spicy chicken and I got the spicy umami miso (each $20). The miso flavor was not super strong but broth was still very enjoyable. The noodles were chewy and perfect. Only cons were that the bok choy came as one giant piece which made it difficult to eat, and when I ordered I asked for the chili oil to be on the side but they forgot. Overall a satisfying meal and pretty good (but not the best ramen I've had).
google avatar

Tetiana E.

Yelp
We had a great experience recently at Jinya Ramen in DC! The food was seriously delicious, the broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect texture, and all the toppings were super fresh. The miso-glazed eggplant was surprisingly tasty as well, with just the right balance of sweet and savory flavors. The customer service was excellent too, the staff was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a good meal. I'm definitely looking forward to going back!

Yelp
I visited JINYA at the Logan Circle location the day before my trip, and the service was exceptional. Joaquin and our server, Magaly, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The experience was top-notch, and I'm already looking forward to returning with friends. Thank you for such outstanding service! We order a lot more but here the best pictures I took lol
google avatar

Yelp
A brah for real for real, JINYA never disappoints! My wife and I came in today planning to skip the ramen, but honestly, the anticipation of how amazing it makes us feel is almost irresistible--it usually leads us straight back to the hotel for a cozy nap! Instead, we decided to dive into a feast of small plate appetizers, and wow, were we in for a treat! We enjoyed a refreshing seaweed salad, crispy chicken that was perfectly golden, spicy tuna tacos that packed a punch, the delightful JINYA bun, and warm sake that hit just right. The service was top-notch; our food arrived almost instantly! The vibe was lively, and while it's a bit snug since we're in DC, there's plenty of room to enjoy, including a great upstairs area.
google avatar

Leah C.

Yelp
Solid ramen joint especially for a chain. Jinya is very consistent with all their locations and feel like that is saying a lot. My most recent trip I got the spicy chicken ramen with ground chicken and an egg added. Tbh wasn't my fav, but still solid. Also tasted the Mabo tofu ramen and it was amazing ! Both me and my boyfriend said we have to come back before this ends as a special ... I believe late may. Normally I get the spicy vegan option and while not vegan, I do find the broth to be the most satisfying. I've had it all here and can tell you that you can't go wrong. Add an egg and the spice bomb and call it a day .... To anything. Lee was the bartender and was great. Very attentive and good vibes all around. Do yourself a favor if you want some ramen and just come here. Forget about the Chaplin hype ... in my humble opinion.
google avatar

Ruth D.

Yelp
I've eaten here and gotten takeout multiple times. I recall my orders always aligning with what I ordered. Jinya is my favorite Ramen chain and this location has helped maintain those feelings. From here, over time, I have ordered tonkotsu ramen, chicken chasu rice bowl, salmon poke mini tacos, sauteed broccolini, edamame, jinya quinoa salad, and the seaweed salad. I remember no complaints with any of these items and I would order them all again depending on what taste I was feeling that day. The spicy tonkotsu ramen is my go to and staple in general. I recommend coming here. It's not too big but they do fit seating well and the restaurant is long.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
A cozy ramen spot with many options, Jinya is an establishment on 14th street! There are a lot of tables but often a wait because it's very popular. The service is quick and the ramen is filling! The menu also has sides and appetizers for non-Ramen goers
google avatar

Edwin G.

Yelp
Nothing beats a good ramen when it's cold. I was visiting friends in DC and I found Jinya. We didn't have reservations but we were lucky enough to find a table. For a group of 3, I paid about $140 with tip included. We had 3 ramens, 2 whiskey shots, wine, and appetizers. Cool spot and hopeful I can visit again.

Yelp
If you're staying near DuPont Circle and you don't want to travel far for a quick bite, Jinya makes sense. At least, this location does. Food. I ordered the seaweed salad for an appetizer. It was fine. However, it comes in a deep dish that is mostly filled with greens. I didn't really notice this until I had finished the seaweed salad part. This isn't a big deal, but something to note. For an entree, I had the Jinya Tonkotsu Original with corn added. They bring the corn in a separate bowl, which means it's cold and not at the same temperature as the ramen. As far as ramen goes, it was on the solid side of okay. The noodles were on the thick side which is fine for me. You only get a couple slices of the pork so if you want additions, the menu does give you several options. Ambiance. I came by myself so I sat at a booth for two towards the back. Music isn't too loud. If you're sitting alone, you may end up near the kitchen due to those seats being near the back. Service: maybe I came on an off night but the server didn't check on me very much after the food was served. It was only until I had finished my drink that they came by and quickly picked it up, while I was in the middle of chewing, to see if I wanted another. Beware: they use paper straws. This isn't bad or good. It's good for the environment, but it's terrible for a cold drink. I am open to trying another location but when I think of the ramen I've had in the past, I'm gonna stick with the authentic ramen places.

Yelp
They have delicious ramen! The service is really fast. They have good cocktails as well.

Yelp
I loved my experience here. The atmosphere is chill and swanky. It can get loud so don't come here if you're looking for a more quiet venue. We were seated immediately and our waiter was training so we packed our patience. Everything we had was great and super flavorful. The shrimp tempura was sooo good and crunchy and seasoned well. The tuna tacos were really good and this was my first time trying them. I wasn't a fan of the raw salmon tacos. My ramen was amazing! Packed with flavor and with the extra toppings added, I had a whole bowl to take home. I will definitely return.
google avatar

Arielle D.

Yelp
If you're in DC and craving ramen, drop everything and head to Jinya Ramen. The pork tonkotsu there? Absolutely life-changing. Rich, creamy broth with perfectly tender pork, it's hands down the best I've ever had. Get there, slurp away, and thank me later.

Yelp
Easily my favorite Ramen spot in DC. They don't take reservations but were able to accommodate a group of 8 us without any wait on a Tuesday night. They have a good selection of vegan as well as regular ramen. I absolutely love the Flying Harvest Vegan ramen. So flavor and delicious.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a while but nothing has changed the consistency of this place is great! Love how they have upgraded the menu items!!Service is always amazing here everyone is always nice! The restaurant and bathrooms are always clean as well. The prices have went up for the ramen but what hasn't gone up price wise? lol my favorite ramen spot!

Yelp
Yum yum yummm. This was the first time I had ramen and it lived up to its expectation. This was absolutely delicious I even added some garlic (highly recommend). I ordered a jasmine drink that I didn't love but again the food was phenomenal. The service was quick and fast. This area in Logan circle is super friendly and it made for a great vibe at the restaurant. Would go again

Yelp
I 1st tried Jinya Ramen Bar on Georgia Ave. NW. I ordered the Vegan Ramen Rice Bowl. It was delicious. The service at GA Ave Jinya is totally different from the 14th St. Jinya. The GA Ave NW Jinya has a great atmosphere. It's not so much a great atmosphere at the 14th St. Jinya. This ramen is costly. Be prepared for that. The 14th St. Jinya Ramen Bar doesn't do well with food orders on apps such as Postmates. The time kept changing and we waited over an hour for our food despite paying extra for express service. We won't ever do that again. Personally, I won't eat here again. Take your chances if you'd like. Update: Since the owner decided to reach out to me via my comment. I want to give some deeper insight into this restaurant. I was in touch with my delivery driver who stood inside this restaurant waiting for my order to be completed. I was texting the driver and monitoring him through the app. For more than 45 minutes he stood motionless inside the restaurant. After he texted me to tell me that my order was finally ready, I could see his beacon start to move in the app. I get that the business owner wants to blame the 3rd party delivery service but it wasn't them. It was Jinya itself because I've ordered from places that have gotten me my order with 15 to 20 minutes when I paid the extra speedy service fee. Not to mention I gave instructions upon ordering my food to put the sauce on the side. When my food arrived, there was no cup with the sauce on the side. It was spread all over my food and personally that sauce is disgusting. I ate the vegan box without it.

Yelp
Ramen, its tasty this place was great, broth was so flavorful. Great selection, not just the same thing recycled a bunch of times with different broths. Also was nice to sit and have the window open as it was a lightly warm day and watch the passerbyers My Star Rating System, since there cant be a 0 stars, I rank my decisions to eat somewhere again as: 1 star - if someone else buys it I won't eat it, I would rather go hungry. 2 star - if I'm hungry, no other options are open and someone buys it - I would consider eating it 3 star - I'm ok with eating it as long as someone else pays 4 star - I will eat again and pay for it and be a semi-regular customer 5 star - I will travel for good food and pay good money and be back on a regular basis and maybe even pay for yours just so we can go

Yelp
Tonkotsu Black Broth is so savory & buttery, soothed my irritated throat immediately. Boyfriend loved his ramen and he's a ramen guru, fresh ingredients, tender pork, thin noodles which are the best! Also enjoyed a Jinya Bun and it was equally delicious! Highly recommend this spot. Service was attentive. Ambiance is moody and chill, perfect date night vibe or late night hang!
google avatar

Cyrus A.

Yelp
For a place that got so busy, even on a Wednesday night, I figured JINYA was serving up something special. So I was a bit disappointed when my ramen came out and it was incredibly...ordinary. I got the tonkotsu black with pork. It came out within just a few minutes after I ordered. At first, I thought that was great, because I was starving. But once I started eating, I realized the serving speed was directly correlated to the amount of flavor. Nothing about the dish was bad, but nothing stood out either. The broth tasted like someone tried combining fish sauce with heavy cream - super salty, but not especially flavorful. The pork was equally bland, and the noodles were just fine. Overall, this seems like a trendy spot, but I came away with a chipotle-like experience for the ramen itself.
google avatar

Johnathan O.

Yelp
The wings were good. Could've used more sauce. The bao bun was good. A little pricy for the serving and needed more sauce. The ramen was really good. Service was impeccable.

Yelp
Jinya Ramen was okay. We visited on Tuesday at 5 PM for happy hour without a reservation and had no trouble getting a seat at the bar. Happy hour is a good deal with a number of drinks and food items available between 3 PM and 6 PM (but not ramen). We had the spicy chicken ramen and spicy tonkotsu ramen, both at the "spicy" level (medium). We thought they were both just okay. Neither were particularly spicy; I would consider both "mild" spicy. We found the noodles and toppings pretty bland because they didn't get much flavor from the broth. The broth itself was flavorful and good when we sipped it. Service was okay. We had no trouble getting our drinks and food early in the meal. However, later on, the bartender disappeared for awhile -- we happened to not be ordering any more food, but this would have been a problem if we had. It also caused a backup of closing out checks with us and a few other people all closing out at the same time (now that he was back). I tried to use the Jinya loyalty/rewards program to earn points on my meal. Apparently, corporate launched this recently and staff are not used to it, because both the bartender and the manager struggled to award me points. The points haven't posted yet... we'll see if they do. I put most of the responsibility on corporate for this; if you launch a loyalty program you have to make sure 100% it's easy to use and staff are trained, otherwise your supposedly positive, "rewarding" program becomes a hassle for everyone. Ambiance is fine. I like their decor. The area near the host stand is small and can get a little crowded with people waiting for takeout or to be seated, which is a bit distracting/annoying if you sit nearby.

Yelp
For American ramen, it's good enough (iykyk). The noodles are springy, the broth is ok but not rich enough for me. Skip the spicy sauce (ramen add on) - not only is it not spicy, it has an odd flavor that ruins the broth. They have hot sauce at the bar - it tastes better, it's actually spicy, and it's free. The pork gyoza was also good so it's worth getting the combo. The food was served quickly. The place is small, which wasn't a problem at 3pm, but will definitely be tight during dinner rush.

Yelp
If you're looking for a solid restaurant with a guaranteed good meal this is the place to go. It was a busy night but we were sat quickly and the service was two thumbs up. We went for a vegan ramen (friend is vegetarian) which was different from the usual due to its yuzu flavor, but fun to try. The pork chashu bowl was awesome and their salad had a delicious dressing that I've never really had before. The restaurant is bustling and it's a great place for a night out with friends or a date!

Yelp
I was looking forward to this meal, but within 30 seconds of arriving the tone was set. If you're looking to taste disappointment would recommend. Service is considerably rude at this location. I was told I had to wait upstairs "in the waiting room", but the 3 guys also waiting were not told they had to move. They got the drink AND meals wrong. No apologies from the server. And then, I've never had this happen, they brought out chopstick holders for the table almost insultingly as we were well through our meal using chopsticks just fine. They brought out a dessert to compensate for the lack of adequate service - but disregarded the several food allergies at the table - so it went untouched. There is always someone outside that will accost you. This location feels like fast food - the sheer amount of Uber eats coming and going. Ramen is ok. Normally I can get two meals from a dish but this location skimped on the ramen! This is a chain - I would suggest ANY other location if you plan to dine in considering the lack of food, service, and ambiance at this particular location.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE Jinya and there isn't one remotely near me so I had to make the trip here while visiting DC! I made a reservation for a Friday night but there was a good amount of tables open. I was a little confused by the seating order since we still waited 5-7 minutes despite having a reservation and other groups were seated before us, but some were larger but also smaller. I always get the spicy creamy vegan and I will stand by it! The BEST Vegan ramen I have ever tried!!

Yelp
Busy little ramen chain near our hotel in DC . They have the basics and so much more but we were here for the ramen ! I ended up with the rice bowl but I tried the ramen and yes it was excellent ! Two of our group got the Karaage ramen bowls and they had so much flavor and toppings ! I would have preferred spicier had I gotten one. They give siracha and chili oil in the side if you request it. I had the chicken chashu bowl, ground sliced chicken and all the grill toppings. I loved the onions! Yum ! They have a full bar and the space is small but full of booths and some tables, downstairs and upstairs . It was a great pick me up lunch to power through our day.

Yelp
Great ramen spot after you've been walking around in the cold all day. Our server Natalie was very attentive and friendly. She checked up on us throughout our visit and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The tonkatsu black ramen was delicious. It had a bunch of noddles and toppings. The broth was really creamy. We also ordered the crispy chicken as an appetizer. The chicken was super crunchy. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
I returned here recently with some co-workers for happy hour and once again, I had an AMAZING! We walked in and before we could have a seat, Lee was ready to clean off the bar area so we could have a seat. That was soooo kind if them. Lee also walked us through the happy hour menu since we just came in for drinks. Because of her kindness, we also ordered some apps off of the happy hour menu. The food and drinks were great and the service was quick! We cannot wait to come back and have more of the sake sangria! Our time there was too short since we had to attend a work event but will totally be back soon for some ramen. And shout out to Lee for the great experience!

Yelp
Nice ambiance, super sweet and helpful server, Everything was totally excellent. My biggest gripe and ultimately why I'm taking away a star is the topping issues. I know every ramen place can switch up their main toppings for a ramen, but this basically just came w noodles and chicken and green onion! I added corn and bamboo shoots, and I would've added more if that already didn't add $5 to my tab and the ramen itself is $20 already!!

Yelp
The service was fast and good. I like the ramen bar atmosphere. The ramen was okay. It did not seem as authentic to me. The ramen in Japan is much better and much cheaper. In the US, there are more authentic tasting ramen places and with lower costs. For me, the broth was lacking depth. It was not as rich as I expect from great ramen. Maybe it needs to simmer longer. I believe this has been the most expensive ramen I've had and it just didn't match up. My wife, who is Japanese, agrees with me on the ramen. It's good, but not great. We both agreed that the crispy fried chicken was really good.

Yelp
The Ramen was delicious! And the service was great. We were a party for five and were able to get seated quickly at the bar since it was first come first served. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen black but substituted the pork for chicken as the protein. It came with the standard noodles, but I did not realize you could change your noodles if you wanted to. I was still satisfied with either option. As an appetizer I ordered the crispy rice with the tuna, but I was a little disappointed that it was a tuna paste, and not fresh tuna. The crispy rice itself was too salty in my opinion. Overall there are many options to choose from on the menu, but the price point is high, $20+ for ramen is a bit steep. Still delicious though.

Yelp
Pfff my new ramen obsession. And refuse to go anywhere else. I do not eat pork so I do appreciate the variety of chicken broth ramen which I can eat with peace of mind. Their spicy chicken ramen is my go-to, add a little of chicken soboro and you'll be in heaven. My favorite cocktail is their lycheetini, but be careful because it can be a little deceiving in taste, but it's actually quite strong. The place is clean and service is relatively fast.

Yelp
It's official. This is the best Jinya in all of the DMV. This place is the flagship Jinya that started it all for a reason. There is just something different about the Jinya from the 14th street location. At first I was wondering, was it the ambiance? Was it the people I was with? Why is this Jinya just so much better than the rest? Then, yesterday me and two friends ordered Jinya delivery (not pictured the fried chicken) and it just hit different. The broth from Jinya on 14th is just better. I would say I go to at least one Jinya in the DMV monthly. Recently I have been visiting the one in Rockville and Mosaic more, and their food is just missing that je ne sais quoi of the one on 14th. I've had both the Tonkotsu Black and Spicy Umami Miso Ramen at the other two locations but they just don't have as much taste and umami, respectfully. The fried chicken was also crispier than the ones from the other locations. Jinya on 14th delivery sold me. The ramen here just slaps!

Yelp
As always, the food was great. This time I managed to snap some photos. My favorite this go around had to be the ramen
