Google
Was a little nervous to try based on the initial reviews, but gave it a shot because the website photos looked so good. I’m very glad we did! We went on a Monday evening but there were quite a few people dining in. Our waitress was super friendly and kind, she checked on us multiple times throughout our dinner. The food didn’t come out super fast but it definitely wasn’t as bad as reviews make it out to be. When we go to dinner, we usually are going as a social thing, so I don’t mind not having speedy service - it’s a sit down restaurant, not fast food. I would not describe it as slow service. The staff let us have time to enjoy our food and conversation. Our appetizers came out in under 10 minutes and our ramen arrived right as we finished the apps. We ordered crispy rice with spicy tuna and the creamy spicy shrimp tempura for appetizers. Super impressed with the shrimp tempura and I loved the spicy tuna on the rice (I wasn’t as big a fan of the crispy rice part but my friends liked it - all had good flavor though). We each tried different ramen and each one had different broth flavors which I liked - they didn’t all taste similar. Both the thin noodles and thick noodles were good. I loved the pork in mine, and the tofu in the spicy creamy vegan ramen was delicious with a great texture!! Tasty broth, and the mushrooms I ordered as an extra were great because they came chopped up rather than as big mushroom caps or slices. Made it easier to mix in. The sauces on the table were tasty too. And the egg that came in our ramen bowls - oh my god it was delicious. I did think it was a little weird that they only provide you with chopsticks and a spoon at first - I’m sure you could ask for a fork but we didn’t. It did slow us down a little eating with only chopsticks (we’re not as used to that). Overall, loved the vibe of the place and the location, food was good and I’d definitely go back again. For three of us, we each ended up paying around $25. Not an every day kind of meal for us but a great place to relax and make a normal day feel a bit more special. They have outdoor seating which will be great as it gets warmer. I think it’s great that Wichita has a place like this downtown!

I have been here several times and can not WAIT for them to open back up! This is my kids and I's favorite ramen spot. Its SO good. The broth is so so good and the noodles are perfect. We look every couple of weeks to see if they have opened back up yet.

Google
So this place was nice, a really cool atmosphere and vibe. They were short staffed because someone was sent home so it was a bit slow but honestly it was cool. The food was delicious, the lighting is nice, the tables are nice, just a good vibe overall. I had the Tonkotsu black ramen, the pork was rich, actually the entire bowl of ramen was rich and delicious! Also tried the tagoyaki, JINYA bun, and spicy creamy shrimp tempura. Those were all really good! I would definitely give this place a go!

Google
This place is an absolute gem!!!!! Run!!! For apps we split the brussel sprouts and creamy shrimp tempura (yummmmmnny), then I got the creamy spicy vegan bowl and my husband got the flying vegan bowl! Outstanding!! Service was quick and it was a Saturday night. Gorgeous restaurant and our bodies felt so good after eating like it was truly healthy food. We will be coming back for another date night!!!!! Go go go!!!!!!!

Google
I was so excited to hear another Raman spot had opened in ict! Parking is so easy and FREE right across the street. We ordered gyoza, Brussels tempura, and the black and red Ramen. I very much enjoyed mine- the pork belly was so rich and delicious- don't expect a large amount of meat in your soup (it melted in my mouth like butter). My bowl of soup was 16$. I shared with my child and it was plenty of food. Our appetizers were not hot when they came out, and didn't have much flavor without a sauce. I would definitely eat Ramen here again.

Google
Super swanky ramen dining! It was rather empty on a Monday evening, so Tiffany was able to give my partner and me top-tier service. This place deserves every five stars. It's on the pricier side of things, but the food, atmosphere, and service earn it. My only note might be the drinks - ours were a little watered down from what we might prefer. But those vary with bartenders. There are various seasonings and spices available to add to your dining preferences, so anyone complaining about the food being bland wasn't paying attention. Arigato!

Google
Went with friends, ordered gyoza and octopus balls for appetizers. Everyone had different dishes, I had spicy chicken ramen with medium spice. We all enjoyed our server because she answered all of our questions, had good recommendations which made for a good dining experience.

L. V.

Google
Long wait and wait staff somehow removed us from the list while we were just waiting outside the entire time and checked with them twice. The starter course, otopus balls came out late and no longer hot nor crispy. The ramen was good, the spice level is a lot hotter than expected so be aware. We had to ask staff to remove finished starter plates from our table even though they came to refill our water and gave us other items after we were done. I felt like it should have been automatic when table visibly crowded and we had stacked up the finished plates to be removed. Great location and good ramen, but service needs much improvement. Also, menu was impossible to read with the tiny black text on green background for all 4 of us on the ramen section and the dim light in the restaurant.

Yelp
Ordered the salmon tacos and sichuan special ramen. The salmon tacos were fresh, crunchy, and seasoned well. The sichuan ramen was super tasty, and spicy. Our waiter was also extremely professional, great time! Cheers!

Yelp
Food: good! Ramen was great, could be a little hotter (temperature wise) but good. I liked the pork bun - the mean was tender and savory! Drinks were also good. Service: Our server was new. She did really well but we were given extra things we didn't ask for. We were fine but it seemed like her manager was upset with her, it was a little awkward as he essentially spoke to her about it in front of us. We didn't think it was a big deal, but her manager apparently thought so. Ambiance: I like the layout, lots of space and a large outdoor seated area for bigger crowds.

Yelp
It's Houston's 7th and his mommy asked him what he wants for his birthday dinner and he said, "Ramen!" So at Jinya we went. This place is huge! It has both indoor and outdoor areas. I called ahead to make sure we can get a table right away. Service was slow and we had to ask our server repeatedly about additional orders as he seemed to forget. Lol. The three adults ordered the same Jinya Tonkotsu Black and Noah ordered the Shrimp Wonton Ramen. The bowl portions are perfect and the broth flavors are on point! I wasn't able to take a picture of the kid's meal cuz the birthday boy was hungry and started eating. Lol. He didn't eat his fried chicken and when I tried a bite, it was tough. Chris also ordered the seaweed salad which we thought was a little pricey as it only had a forkful of seaweed on top. I ordered Mochi Ice Cream for dessert but after a fee minutes our server came back to advise they were sold out. However, when I got our check, it still listed the Mochi Ice Cream in it so I had to ask him to remove it. Also, I asked what they do for a kid's birthday and the hostess said they'd bring him a dessert - that didn't happen. It would have been nice if they at least sang "Happy Birthday" to our Houston who just wanted to eat ramen on a hot summer day. That was my biggest disappointment.

Yelp
Right off the bat I just want to state that I know this place has only been open a few days and having worked in a restaurant myself before many times I'm well aware of restaurant operations and have a lot of patience so the few inconveniences I experienced during my visit were not a big deal to me. I also came on a Friday night, right at prime dinner time! The food was absolutely delicious. My good friend and I came to eat here for her last night in Wichita. We shared the Curry Rice Croquettes for an appetizer. This menu item is limited time only available until 5/31. They were, perfectly crispy, creamy and flavorful and even better paired with the little house sauces on the table. We each ordered one of their featured signature cocktails. Mine was called the Lychee Cosmo, I believe. Very strong but delicious if you like grapefruit. The other drink was called the SOHO Lychee Martini. Also good, but too sweet for my liking. Unfortunately they were out of several ingredients for the 'Chefs Special' so I had to choose an alternative ramen option. They were also completely out of seasoned eggs (which is a key ingredient in ramen dishes), this was probably the most disappointing part of our dining experience for the night. I ordered the "Cha Cha Cha" which is a limited time only ramen bowl featuring pork broth, garlic and traditional veggies. It's served thick noodles (so good!) and a side of fresh garlic to add for extra flavor. The dish is designed for "garlic lovers". I thought it was well seasoned and beautiful as it was. I didn't need to add anything! She got the JINYA Tonkotsu Original 2010*. I had a small sample of it. The flavor of the broth was really good. For dessert we ordered the chocolate mochi which was simple yet delicious. We also tried the Panna Cotta with caramel and graham cracker 9/10. Absolutely delicious! Our server Jade was great despite the few set backs of the leaning curve of a newly opened restaurant. It is pricey but comparable to other ramen places. The food was honestly so good I cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
JINYA is temporarily closed due to construction and parking issues. Reopen date is unknown.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed the tonkotsu broth--it had a delightful richness that I look for. The marinated egg was flawless, and although I overestimated my appetite by ordering extra noodles, the generous portion already provided was more than enough. Unfortunately, the gyoza didn't make it into the picture, but they were decent. Based on the waiter's strong recommendation, I'll definitely return to try the red tonkotsu.

Yelp
Really surprising. I ordered the spicy tuna fried rice tapas, pork wontons and seaweed salad with a spicy margarita. The only slightly disappointing one was the seaweed salad served on a bed of spinach. They could just skip the latter ingredient there. The tapas entree I expected raw tuna but it was breaded and cooked. I expected to be disappointed but it was fantastic as was the service and the custom made margarita. Wow. Coming back tomorrow. Music a bit loud for my taste for the late hour and sparse attendance but not a big deal. Their in house hot sauce is amazing and those wontons rocked it. I'm coming back tomorrow to try ramen for the first time! UPDATE. I did return. And because of that I had to change the rating from 4 to 5. The spicy chicken ramen was remarkable. So glad to have had it. Had to have the same tuna tapas. Had to buy the sauce. Had to have the same awesome bartender. So happy for it. Best Wichita restaurant I've been to in 3 visits. Off the charts.

Yelp
The ambience is well lit and roomy with lots of seating. The staff were kind and quick to get me a seat! I know previous reviews are a bit abysmal, but I personally very much enjoyed this ramen dish; it was the perfect temperature for me. The noodles were cooked well, and the toppings were enjoyable (spinach, green onions chicken, pork chashu, ect). The broth is flavorful and hearty. I personally would give this place a chance, however I can't speak to how the rest of the food is!
google avatar

Yang N.

Yelp
Food - I ordered the Cha Cha Cha Ramen and it was pretty good. The broth did not stand out to me, but I liked that they gave me fresh garlic to press into it. The noodles were cooked well and had a nice chewiness. The Pork Chashu was alright. The service was pretty slow, so it got cold by the time the ramen came out. Interior - I like the interior design of the restaurant, really fancy and a good atmosphere. Wait time was about an hour for four people, because there were not a lot of tables. Service - They forgot my ramen, brought out the wrong orders for our table, and messed up our checks - though they apologized and fixed the mistakes, it took a long time in addition to the long wait time. I understand that it is opening week and they are still working out the kinks, so I will give them another chance soon! I hope they improve their service and consistency.

Yelp
Arrived from the airport late at night and couldn't find something open. We showed up 15 minutes before closing and they were polite and served us regardless of the time. Very grateful! We ordered our food to go to be respectful of their time, but the bar in the middle of the restaurant was a nice touch. Food was good.
google avatar

Lee D.

Yelp
They are horribly under staffed and will probably be their downfall. Which is a shame because their food is amazing

Jeff J.

Yelp
Place has a great atmosphere, people working seem happy and working together well. Broth is a little heavy for me but good favors. I would try something else next time but my meal will completely finished. Good place, quick service
google avatar

Rebecca V.

Yelp
Ok, so I am embarrassed to admit that this was my first "real" ramen (I'm old, and no, Maruchen doesn't count), but happy to say it was a GREAT experience! So much to choose from, including many vegetarian and vegan options including lots of Impossible meat substitutes: swoon!! The food was so delicious and huge portions. Service was great and very friendly. The Spicy Creamy Vegan ramen was awesome, and a week later I am still thinking about the Tempura Brussels Sprouts (who knew!) and the Carmelized Cauliflower. Would love to go back and try more dishes.

Yelp
Came here the first week it opened. Good food, horrible service. Slow, disorganized, uninformed, poor social skills. Chalked it up to growing pains. Waited many months and returned this evening. We were seated with no menus. Not a lot of people in the restaurant. We were not waited on or acknowledged in any way for over 10 minutes. No menus, no drinks, no nothing. Disinterested staff and apparently no systems in place. Poorly managed. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Won't return.
google avatar

Tanica B.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the interior design of this place, very swanky. The spicy chicken ramen and salmon poke mini tacos were delicious. I tried the watermelon drink and it was just okay. I would definitely recommend trying them and will be back.
google avatar

Katherine W.

Yelp
We ordered the Brussels Sprouts Tempura, Impossible Tacos, and Impossible Gyoza. All items were good. I love all the different vegan options. The service was pretty quick, and the music wasn't too loud.
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
Really cool atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff. A bit noisy. Ramen has so much going on all the way to the bottom. A little heat, creamy umami, fatty egg and miso. Amazing ! And the Jinya buns wow. Definitely a ramen place to give a try.
google avatar

Alexa B.

Yelp
We came here on a whim and luckily we had time as the service was very slow around 6:15p on a Thursday. The menu said they had sparkling sake but the bar staff was unable to find it... we just got a few small plates. The spicy stuff is SPICY heads up! The impossible bun was my favorite part. Worth checking out at least once.
google avatar

Meg H.

Yelp
Wow wow what an experience! We loved everything about this restaurant from the beer flights to the California appetizer to or main course! Our server was Nikki and I cannot recommend her enough. Please come here ask for her. Service was absolutely outstanding!

Yelp
Word of advice - wait a few weeks or months to try Jinya. Give them time to figure out staffing, service and ordering before you go and you'll probably have a good experience! Service: We waited an hour to be seated and only got to the table because we checked back in the host who had forgotten. We didn't receive any water refills and our server asked multiple times if we had ordered yet (even after having our food delivered). The waitress that took our check was apologetic for the experience. Food: We ordered the crispy rice with spicy salmon, the spicy chicken ramen and the black tonkotsu ramen. The crispy rice seemed like it had been sitting a while, but it was ok otherwise. We did not get the ramen we ordered, instead we got the chicken wonton ramen and the shrimp wonton ramen. It tasted good, but we would have rather eaten what we ordered. By the time we were paying for the bill, the waiter delivered our original order to the table next to us, which they sent back and it was delivered by a different waiter a second time (it looked really good!). We were grateful to have eaten what was delivered after being there for two hours. The ambiance was great! It's a cool spot and a great feature for downtown. We'll try Jinya again in a couple months.

Yelp
This review is only about service...because we didn't stay to eat. We arrived at 11:17am on Mother's Day. We walked into an empty restaurant and saw a host and a bartender. (The hours on the door stated they open at 11am. I had also checked Yelp regarding hours. It stated hours were updated a few days ago and that they open at 11am. Also, the doors were unlocked.) The host said they would not open for 13 minutes. I apologized for arriving too early but quickly shared that Yelp and the door say 11am so it is confusing. The bartender jumped in the conversation and told us it was updated on Google and that is where we should have looked. My sons and husband turned around and left. As I was walking out the door they said we could stay but they couldn't serve us food for 13 minutes. We were happy to agree to this option. They said they could get us drinks...just not food. We were ushered to a small 4-top next to what appeared to be a bussing sink. Again, the restaurant was completely empty. I asked the bartender if we could move to one of the other tables with a better view and more comfortable chairs. He said we could. He asked if we wanted any drinks. I said we all wanted waters while we decided on cocktails. (We were never given a drink menu. Reading the reviews I learned there is a drink menu.) When he brought the waters I asked for a mimosa. He looked perplexed and then said they didn't have any champagne or prosecco. He said they did have one very sweet, bubbly rosé that wouldn't be a good option. (I was surprised. With that giant bar and a visible wine fridge in the wall, you would think they would have something to make mimosas. Also, that is basically the official drink of Mother's Day. I thought anyone with a liquor license had mimosas on Mother's Day.) We looked over our menus and were very much looking forward to trying many items. We waited. And waited. 11:30am came and went. No one came to our table. Staff was mingling by the kitchen and milling about the restaurant. Still no one came to our table. Two other tables were escorted to tables. More staff was visible...still no one came to our table. Finally, at 11:43 we decided to leave. We were sitting for 26 minutes (the only customers) and received zero service. It was disheartening and disappointing.

Emily Ann R.

Yelp
Came here for a late night dinner. This is such a cute place with great ambiance and great service. We had the spicy chicken ramen, a few appetizers and a birthday dessert!
google avatar

Cody G.

Yelp
Really poor service. Waitress was clearly new and no one was training her. They didn't have a bartender to make drinks, so they had someone who doesn't know to make drinks make the drinks instead. The ambience was nice and I liked how the restaurant looked. The ramen was just okay. Overall, probably not going to return. Very forgettable.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible. The food took a very long time and then when it finally came out, it was cold. The Ramen was cold, my kids meals were cold and it was super disappointing overall. I've been to this chain and other locations and have thoroughly enjoyed it. However, this is my second time at this location with both times being terrible. Do not recommend. Super disappointing
google avatar

Tom N.

Yelp
Food is consistently really good. GREAT selection of appetizers and something for everyone. Service has been spotty when we've been. Sometimes really great, sometimes less than. Style and decor is clean and upscale(ish) and something welcomed in Wichita!

A. B.

Yelp
Jinya is not a bad place to eat. It's just not necessarily my vibe. I will say the service is exceptional. For a lunch destination though, it's a bit pricey. I'm sure you could find a dish you like, but again it's pretty "exotic" for my tastes.
google avatar

KhalDoyGo T.

Yelp
The ambiance was top-notch. The staff was very accommodating! I got pork chashu bowl. It's a 6.5/10, the egg was cold. The rice and the rest tasted average. The Takoyaki, however was extremely delicious! 10/10! It gave us an authentic Japanese vibe! My wife ordered chicken ramen, she had to give it to me because it tasted awful. The chicken seemed not well- seasoned. The ramen was bland. I did not have a picture of it but I don't wanna throw away food so I just ate it and after I feel so nauseaus. One thing we've missed was to ask if they have a seasoning or something. Advice: Just don't get the chicken ramen if you wanna try Jinya. Overall, it's a 4/5. Everyone was nice to us, great service!

Kallie P.

Yelp
A diamond in the rough??? The restaurant has a great vibe and interior. It has potential... The service was lackluster. We were greeted when we walked in and taken to our table. We ate outside on the patio, but the first table we were seated at was very wobbly and seem to be broken, which is disappointing, considering it's a brand new restaurant. After we were seated, we were handed the menus and asked if we were ready to order. I think it would be great to explain the menu or walk customers through the menu since it is a new restaurant. The first thing I noticed was they were using a table as a landing place for all of the dirty/used bowls and trash, which is quite gross. Look at if you're eating. They weren't very busy maybe five or six parties of people. The food-the chicken Gyoza were delicious, and the Jinya Bun was amazing. we ordered them as appetizers, but they showed up at the same time as our food. I'll order the chicken wonton. Ramen and my husband had spicy Ramen. The broth was amazing and had a great depth of flavor. Overall, I would say they're worth a visit after they get over the growing pains of a new restaurant.
google avatar

Cammie K.

Yelp
It's a 4 minute walk from my place so I've been 3x in the past couple of weeks. I've tried something different each time. Food is fantastic. Service is slow. Not a lot of seating; for parties around 2-4 max. Bar is 1/2 the restaurant with limited seating. Outdoor covered patio is large. Cool decor, but extremely loud. The crispy chicken and gyoza are amazing. Jinya buns are perfection. Spicy creamy vegan ramen is my favorite so far. Jinya tonkotsu black was fantastic. My partner had the Wonton chicken ramen and he said he loved it. Tokyo curry rice was a perfect lunch. Plan to be there for a while. They are having difficulty with getting food out in a timely manner. You might get your appetizer within 10 minutes or 45 minutes; not kidding! The same goes for a ramen or rice bowl. My 2nd visit, there were six of us for lunch. Food just randomly came out over the course of an hour; we did not start or finish eating together. The music is too damn loud. It's more like at club volume than for a restaurant. Twice, the servers couldn't even hear us ordering. So you can imagine, you won't be able to hear your party or group very well. We asked them to turn it down; was told everyone asks, but owner will not. I'll go back during slow times because it's close and the gyoza and ramen are delicious.
google avatar

Courtney C.

Yelp
This place has such a fun atmosphere and a great menu of offerings! The shrimp tempura and tuna/salon cones were delicious, and everyone in our group enjoyed the ramen. Can't wait to visit again and try more items.
google avatar

Caroline W.

Yelp
The food was very delicious. We had the chicken wings for one appetizer and shrimp. I can't remember the name of the ramen I had but it was very good. I like how they have different noodle sizes.

Janet P.

Yelp
The food and service is outstanding. My favorite restaurant in Wichita. Go explore their cuisine. Flavorful and tasty. Last time there i ordered the seaweed salad and the impossible rice bowl. Delicious!!! The atmosphere and decor is very cool, too!

Ashley O.

Yelp
Good, but too expensive for noodles. Charged $3 to add a scrambled egg Spicy Chicken Ramen

Yelp
This place is remarkable! Came here while traveling in Wichita and loved finding this place. The food is definitely great and the menu hat many options. Every time I have been here the service has been great and we love coming back.
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
Brought out of towners here for a visit and they were blown away by all the vegan/vegetarian options! We all enjoyed the Impossible gyoza, brussels sprouts tempura, and the absolutely delectable caramelized cauliflower (high praise from someone who hates cauliflower!). I had the Jinya Tonkotsu Original and it was amazing. From the first sip of the broth to the perfectly sized noodles, it's perfect. Bring your friends, impress a date, or just stop in to enjoy the super food and fun atmosphere.
google avatar

Frosty W.

Yelp
The restaurant tacked on a secret tax on to the bill. I asked about this fee and the server said, "I think it's a new restaurant tax". This needs to be disclosed by the restaurant prominently. Better yet, it should just be built into the price. Stop nickel and dimeing everyone.

Libby G.

Yelp
Food was mediocre. Friend ordered crispy fried chicken and it was so tough that she couldn't eat it. Everyone else in my party thought their food was pretty bland. Waitress took all our identical water glasses to refilll - good deal we all spend enough time together that we probably have the same germs. However her holding our glasses by the rims with dirty gloves - not so sanitary.
google avatar

Andy F.

Yelp
Tried the small plate fried chicken and the red Tonkatsu Ramen. Both were excellent. The chicken had a nice crunch and meat was tasty and juicy. The spice level on the Ramen can be adjusted to taste. The broth was rich and flavorful. The noodles seemed freshly made. I was surprised to see the numerous vegan choices on the menu. Definitely the best Ramen in town. The service was excellent and the ambiance is great. The restaurant is on the first floor of the tastefully renovated historic Henry's department store building. Great addition to the downtown food scene.

Timothy K.

Yelp
Food is great! I've had the Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen and the Spicy Chicken Ramen. Both amazing. The atmosphere is captivating. I enjoy the urban environment. Friendly staff as well.
google avatar

Kyle V.

Yelp
The food was great. The service was abysmal. I hope they get it figured out, because the location is great. They looked to be over staffed, but our food all came out at different times. Multiple orders were wrong and it took 2.5 hours to get out of there.

Austin C.

Yelp
Great food, service, and people! I really enjoyed stopping in while traveling for work.
google avatar

Roberta C.

Yelp
Service was slow for number of people in restaurant. Server wasn't much help with questions about the menu. Food was pretty bland.

Britney H.

Yelp
Server was very friendly and the ambience of the whole restaurant was very nice. The Jinya Bun was 10/10 very good, the cucumber they added in it gives it an extra kick of flavor to balance the savory meat! The ramen I would rate a 6/10 just because the broth was too thick, the meat wasn't the typical ramen meat where it would melt in your mouth. The meat was rather dry and tough. I wasn't a fan of the taste of the broth either. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back for the buns!

Yelp
We loved our experience here! The food is delicious and the service from our server Anajay was top tier. Our family can be pretty picky, so it was nice to have someone so patient and kind. The kids meal is a deal!! Good portion sizes, and good quality food with a clean atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover: A phase commonly used to describe something that's rough around the edges but turns out to be a hidden gem, but I wish I could say that's the case for this place. The atmosphere is really cool, very modern and has a clean layout with good music. Bar is giant, displaying lots of high end liquor. BUT. The food and the service just does not ring that bell. I had 2 beers (best thing I had there), 2 of their Jinya buns (cold and soggy), and the Premium Tonkastu Red. For the Ramen you're asked to choose your spice level between 1 and 10, I chose 4 because I like a little excitement in life but not trying to burn my mouth off. Boy was I way off. Came out in reasonable time but was so spicy I couldn't eat more than 10 bites (And to be clear, I love spicy food). As for the service, I got there around 5 or 6pm at the beginning of the week, was informed that the bar is seat yourself type of situation. Found my seat at and empty bar, ordered my beer and asked for a food menu shortly there after. Unfortunately that was not the same rapid response to actually getting me the beer or the menu. It took about 15 mins to for just the beer and another 5 for the menu. I could see the bartender was working off cheat sheets to make drinks, I get it, I worked as a bartender for many years and have sympathy for those just starting out. But I feel like you know it's bad when the managers don't even know where things are in the bar. I almost got their attention to tell them to finish what's infront of them right there and then. All in all, it would have been great if it was a long wait for an amazing meal, but unfortunately that was just not the case. Really disappointed but will be going back to try a 1 spice level ramen and plenty of beer.

Yelp
Edit - Most recent visit bumps my review up to 5 stars. They seem to have worked out the service kinks and the food is still great. Keep up the great work! First off, on my second visit, the food that I received, although not what I ordered was pretty good. I ordered the Premium Tonkotsu Red level 5, with extra pork chashu and extra egg. They ran out of pork chashu and egg completely. Instead of informing me, they substituted pork soboro (ground pork) and just didn't have any eggs. I would not have had the ground pork if asked and would have changed my order completely. There was also not an adjustment made to the price of my order for missing primary components of it. The music.... Could be turned down, a lot. It felt (yes felt, it was that loud) like a rave with ramen bowls. The service on my first two visits was incredibly slow and inconsistent, but by the third lunch visit, it was much smoother and timely. That being said, the Jinya Buns and Crispy Rice with Spicy tuna are amazing. I liked the octopus balls, but probably not for everyone, lol. If they get the kinks ironed out with service, and keep up the quality of food, this could be a real gem.

Yelp
Believe that this will be the best ramen noodles you will ever have in Wichita Kansas at any restaurant! The atmosphere is great. Are the prices a bit high? Yes, but you're paying for the experience and the food is very fresh. I'd definitely recommend anyone to try this new restaurant at least once and I guarantee your stomach will be satisfied.
