The Most Anticipated Fall Restaurant Openings to Track Around D.C. - Eater DC

"One of country’s best pizza places debuts a second D.C. location in the Parks at Walter Reed development. Look for its familiar lineup of New York and Detroit-style pies and slices alongside an expanded offering of panini sandwiches and small-batch gelato from acclaimed chef and Naples native Giulio Adriani. The new space is much larger than the 14th Street NW original, with room for up to 26 sit-down guests." - Tierney Plumb

I got the takoyaki (not pictured because I famished), matcha lychee lemonade that was very refreshing, and the Jinya Tonkatsu Black. I've been to other JRB's, but I don't remember the ramen being this good. The pork chashu melted in my mouth. The broth was rich, but not too much. The only recommendation I have is to get the sriracha separately. The dish itself tastes great without it. The sriracha is just an added flavor. The music was a little loud, so it was hard to hear the server at times. The restaurant was clean with a lot of natural light. I was able to get a table for one by the window. Noel was my server and took care of me.

If you’re searching for the best ramen in the DMV area, look no further than JINYA Ramen Bar. This place is an absolute gem! I recently went for brunch with a group of friends, and we were all completely impressed from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, with a stylish vibe that makes you feel welcome and relaxed right away. Now, let’s talk about the food, because that’s where JINYA truly shines. The ramen is out of this world. The broth is rich, flavorful, and slow-cooked to perfection. You can tell they put a lot of time and love into every bowl. The noodles are springy and fresh, and the toppings are plentiful and high quality. Whether you’re into spicy ramen, creamy tonkotsu, or a lighter chicken broth, there’s something on the menu for everyone. I ordered the Pork Ramen, and it hit all the right notes, savory, just the right amount of heat, and deeply satisfying. My friends tried a variety of dishes, and everyone was happy with their choices. The small plates are worth exploring too, the crispy Brussels sprouts and pork buns were crowd favorites at our table. What really made the experience stand out was the excellent service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. It’s clear they take pride in the food they serve and the atmosphere they create. JINYA Ramen Bar exceeded all our expectations. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to visit again and again. I honestly can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. Whether you’re a ramen enthusiast or new to it, this is a must-visit spot in the DMV!

Terrible experience on April 12th 2025, ordered the new Birria ramen with no red onions. They gave me red onions they took my order back and Scraped the red onions off my bowl told me they were making me a new batch. Brought me back cold noodles. First time ever that I went to any ramen shop and gave me a terrible experience. Don’t think I would ever go back. Because of the cooks and waiter then had on that date around 1230pm.. if I ever decide to go back. I will update the review.

This is such a great addition to our neighborhood. I went on a Friday evening and had fantastic service, delicious food, and, a really warm and welcoming environment. My only critique was that the music was a little loud for easy conversation. I have been to the location closer to downtown and I prefer this new one at the Parks at Walter Reed. If you have not yet been, you must try this fantastic place!

I have a confession to make. I’ve been to this restaurant so many times and thought I had written a review until I looked and noticed that I had not. I was so excited when this location opened because it’s within walking distance of my house. I was initially introduced to this place at the Logan Circle location, which was close to work. I thought the staff at the Logan Circle were friendly. But, since day one, when they opened here, EVERYONE has been incredibly warm and welcoming. The atmosphere here is so inviting, along with the ambiance. Two people who have stood out for me are Frank, the GM, and Mercedes, the head bartender. We befriended each other at this location’s grand opening. Their warmth and friendliness have made this place feel like a second home when I don’t feel like cooking. I’ve had the opportunity to bring so many family and friends to come here to eat for different celebrations. Everyone always thanks me for the experience. As I seek to rectify my mistake, I returned tonight to celebrate a friend’s new house purchase. We ordered the Ebi-Katsu Bun and Crispy Chicken as starters. Then, we ordered and ate the Shrimp Wonton Ramen and the Spicy Chicken Ramen with an egg on top. Hmm…good eating. Some other dishes that I can attest to during my many visits are Brussels Sprouts Tempura, Edamame, Pork Gyoza (6 pcs), JINYA Bun, Impossible™ Bun, Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura (OMG), Salmon Poke* Mini Taco (2 pcs), Spicy Tuna Tacos (2 pcs), House Salad, and Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen. Unfortunately, after eating each time, I’ve never had the chance to try anything from the dessert menu. Hopefully, I will make it there one day. I would be remiss if I didn’t say that the drinks are delicious. In the words of the Pringles potato chips motto, “You can’t have just one.” Am I allowed to say this? Okay, I’ll say this: “Drink responsibly.” But, when you happen to miss the mark in this, there is always Uber, Lyft, Metrobus, or a taxi. Please, by all means, pick one! Please do yourself a favor and stop by THIS location if you are in the area (or not); you will not be disappointed. It’s a beautiful restaurant in an up-and-coming neighborhood: Walter Reed.

I've had the pleasure of visiting various Jinya locations in the DMV area, and I must say, this particular location surpassed the others in terms of ambiance, flavor, and service. We had the pleasure of dining during their soft opening this past weekend, and I truly hope that they'll maintain the level of quality in the long run. Our experience was made even better by our waitress, Jocelyn, who was simply amazing. She paid great attention to detail and was incredibly friendly. Her recommendations for small plates and beverages were spot on. Our undying love for their crispy chicken is what brings us back to Jinya, so naturally, we had to order it. Jocelyn also suggested the Takoyaki, octopus balls, and I'm so glad she did. The battered octopus over egg tartar, garnished with mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, freshly cut green onions, and smoked bonito flakes, was an absolute delight. I was initially concerned it might be too salty with all the sauces, but it turned out to be perfectly balanced! :) For our main course, we opted for the Tonkotsu Black Ramen, our favorite. The broth was rich and bursting with flavor, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The chashu pork was tender and incredibly flavorful. My husband decided to add a little extra heat to his ramen by requesting spicy sauce on the side, which gave it a delightful kick without overwhelming the palate. He also ordered an extra serving of crispy chicken to dip into his ramen, and I went for the Brussels sprouts as an extra topping. Although I intended to eat the Brussels sprouts with the ramen, their incredible flavor led me to enjoy them separately – they were that good! We had four different drinks, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails. While I can't recall their names, I can confidently say that they were all truly amazing. I strongly recommend trying out their cocktails; they're a delightful complement to the meal. You need to street park or park in the garage under Whole Foods.

Google
Overall, it's a great ramen bar with terrific service and great atmosphere. Food though, can be a hit or miss. I thought my original Tonkatsu ramen was very good, and my kids thought their kids meal were really good. However, my wife didn't like her shrimp wontons and votes a 3 stars. Their takoyaki also had too much mayonnaise and bread coating, and could be crispier. Prices were also slightly higher. Overall, everything evens out to be a solid 4 star restaurant.

We went for the soft opening on Saturday. This has potential to be one of our favorite spots. The food was excellent with great attention paid to detail and the service was the same--I appreciate any restaurant that is conscious enough to make sure kids' meals come out first and your child is taken care of, so that you can enjoy your food. We started with the pork gyoza and spicy tuna mini-tacos--both were excellent and full of flavor. We tried the Lychee Strawberry Not-a-Margarita and the Toropikaru, the former was floral and twangy and the latter was really tasty and reminiscent of a homemade fruit punch. The kids meal was huge and came in stages; our child loved the flavor and, two days later, is still working on it. We got the Tonkatsu and the Cha Cha Cha (opening special ramen). We had looked at the menu with some skepticism about the listed prices, but when we saw what came out it was so much food. You could not call it anything but a value and you should plan to bring some home. Both ramens were very well executed and not only highly flavorful, but complex. The fresh garlic, brought out with a press, to add to the Cha Cha Cha really took it to the next level. The chicken ramen from the kids meal really had the chicken flavor infused into it. None of these dishes had light flavors. It was perfect for a rainy cold Saturday. For dessert we tried the chocolate and green tea mochi ice creams, the panna cotta was out. If you like mochi ice cream, it is the standard kind. The kids meal comes with a vanilla ice cream, which was garnished with a mint leaf and our child enjoyed. I highly recommend this restaurant to you, we will be back.

Yelp
I'm so glad I discovered Jinya Ramen Bar! The food is consistently delicious, with rich flavors and generous portions. But what really sets Jinya apart is the exceptional service. From the warm greeting I receive every time I walk in, to the friendly wait staff and bartenders, the entire team is always welcoming and attentive. As the weather warms up, I'm excited to enjoy Jinya's outdoor seating area. But even on chilly days, the cozy atmosphere inside is a great place to relax and unwind. The drink menu offers a range of tasty options, and the bartenders are always happy to make recommendations. Overall, Jinya Ramen Bar is a fantastic spot to grab a bite or meet friends for drinks - I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
We love having Jinya in the neighborhood! We never have any trouble getting a table as it's surprisingly never crowded! The customer service is always amazing and the food comes out in a timely manner as well! Some of our favorites include the Jinya Bun, Spicy Shrimp Tempura, Octopus balls and offfff course all the ramen! I hope this restaurant sticks around for awhile because it really is a great touch to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Host at the front said to be seated as we like Took to the bar and we were really good Went straight to asking questions and we put our order in.... Here's what we got Spicy Tuna Tacos (hard taco) Takoyaki Octopus balls (soft in texture fun to pick up with chopsticks)

Yelp
Jinya always hits. I hadn't been to one in a while but I really do enjoy their ramen. My partner ordered the wonton ramen which was really light and tasty. I ordered the spicy ramen with mild heat, which wasn't any heat at all, so now I know. It was so rich and I loved it. We ordered karaage, which was super crisp and absolutely delicious. They have a good happy hour too. Our server was really friendly. It wasn't that crowded, which was nice.

Yelp
I have been to a couple Jinya locations, but this one has been my favorite! It is so cozy and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth but balance of flavor in my "spicy creamy vegan" ramen. Usually vegetable based broths lack any serious flavor, but this one was delicious!! The prices are a little high, but I genuinely enjoyed the taste and the thickness of the noodles used. My waiter was also very friendly and attentive! I will definitely go back to this location and check out their happy hour menu:

Yelp
I recently dropped by Jinya Ramen for a late afternoon meal. The restaurant was fairly empty and the waitress seated me in a prime seat where I could see the whole restaurant as well outside. The interior design was very chic and the music playing from the sound system was upbeat and eclectic. The server came by within minutes, explained the menu and offered a few suggestions upon my request. After careful consideration, I opted for the Jinya Chicken Ramen, a delightful combination of chicken broth, chicken chashu, spinach, green onion, and fried onion served with thin noodles. While the dish was tasty, it fell short on spiciness. I immediately regretted not ordering a spicy ramen. I mentioned this to the waiter and he volunteered to bring me some chili sauce to add to my ramen. Unfortunately, the sauce only added an orange hue and did not add any spice. I devoured my ramen to the point where I could read the text on the bottom of my bowl that said "no ramen no life." I contemplated dessert; however, neither of the options appealed to me. I opted for the check once I finished my meal. I was surprised to see a $1.50 charge for spicy sauce on the bill. I did not make a fuss since the charge was minimal; however, I thought it was in poor taste to add a charge that was not disclosed upfront. All in all, I got my ramen fix and discovered a new spot that just opened in October!

Yelp
I just moved back into DC after living in Columbia Md. in Columbia I had a go to for Thai food call Dao Khao (shoutout). While there were several ramen bars in Columbia none made me go back regularly. JINYA! I will be a regular. The food was crazy good. The flavors all popped! . This is my go to spot now. HH, dinner all look awesome. I had a chicken ramen and it was very tasty. But y'all need to up your spice factor. I asked for hot it was maybe medium at best. Next time I will ask for spice factor 11 See you soon JINYA!

Yelp
Great food. Super friendly and fast service. Chic interior. This is such a good addition to the area! I recommend the tonkatsu black - so flavorful and absolutely delicious! Also the spicy tuna cones are so fresh and good! I'll definitely be back to try more things.

Yelp
Every bite of my three course meal was packed with flavor and exactly what was needed to fill my midday hunger pains. The star of the show was the Shrimp Wonton Ramen which was served with thick noodles and wontons stuffed with shrimp and pork. Now that I have been introduced to this spot, I'll definitely be hitting up the location in Arlington, VA more regularly. S/o to my servers, Nick and Mercedes for providing such great customer service during my visit.

Yelp
This is probably one of the better JINYA locations I've been to - the space is absolutely beautiful, and the staff and the food preparation were on point! We decided to visit them after their soft opening and re-treat ourselves - this time, we decided to start off with: +Pork Gyozas - came with 6 pieces; these were fried well +the Impossible Bun +the Crispy Chicken - aka karaage +Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura - large-sized shrimp that were perfectly fried, and dressed with just enough of that nice creamy sauce without making it too overpowering; the shrimp was fresh and came out piping hot! +and, the Chicken Wings with a sweet soy glaze - I would probably ask these to be extra well-done/crispy next time with a bit more of the sauce For the ramen, we ordered: +the Wonton Chicken Ramen - the broth was still creamy, noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, and there were generous amounts of chicken-filled wontons! Don't forget to ask for the hot sauce and paste to add to your broth as well as to dip the wontons in! +the JINYA Tonkotsu Black - with an added nitigmago egg +and, shared Spicy Umami Miso Ramen I love their nitimago egg, as it's so jammy and well-marinated - I could eat 3+ of these in one seating - AHAHA Adding any additional toppings comes in a separate dish, which is so great, so you can dictate how much you'd like in your bowl. The staff and the manager team checked in on us throughout the evening, and our water was constantly refilled. It was nice to see familiar faces from the opening night as well! We really enjoyed the newly developed Parks at Walter Reed - JINYA fits right in, and I hope the locals enjoy this place as much as I do! Plenty of street and garage parking in the area. +perfectly al dente ramen noodles +friendly & efficient staff +street and garage parking

Yelp
Jinya Ramen Bar is just what you would expect from an upscale national chain. The recipes have been perfected, standardized, and are issued by cooks in 60 restaurants across North America. I am not denying that the ramen tastes good, just that it somehow lacks soul in its execution. Or perhaps it is the standardized dining room that is uninspiring. I don't know. I think it is a one and done for us. Perhaps if the price was right I would come back, but at $20 a bowl, I will not make a point of it. More specific notes: we had the tonkatsu black ramen, and added gyoza and salad as a combo. The ramen could have done with more vegetables (think the broccolini in a similar dish at Toki Underground), and the salad was composed of insipid iceberg leaves. So, yeah, if you lean into pork and noodles, you are fine, but so much more could be done with these creations. The panna cotta for dessert was good, but again, lacking that je n'ai sais quoi.

Yelp
I pulled up on all my paws and was a bit confused on how empty it was? But as a lil introvert I loved. Food was bomb as usual. I had ordered the flying Vegan harvest (I know a cat not eating meat??!?) but trust... it was delish.... Licked every single paw pad. We also ordered the spicy creamy vegan ramen and it was like you know, when you, when you, when you. When you, when you.... It was an absolute pleasure to chew on. I felt chosen. Drinks were bomb and I got tipsy! Customer service was a bit slow but the food 100000% made up for it. Not recommended for kittens. Stop meowing around and pull up.

Yelp
The address says it's on Dahlia Street but the entrance is off of Georgia Ave. We had trouble finding it at first, so be mindful of that. The ambiance is somber and relaxing. Definitely a nice vibe. The service was great from the hostess to the server. The Ramen was pretty tasty too. I don't eat pork, but I do enjoy Ramen with pork broth. I asked if the pork could be swapped for an extra egg, but I had to pay for the extra egg. I wasn't a fan of that, but it is what it is. The bowls the Ramen came in were nice too. I didn't like that the bathroom only has the air dryer. They should also have paper towels as well, not everyone likes using those air dryers.

Yelp
The pork broth is so amazin super comforting go to when i have the sniffles Just had a bad order with looming food poisong from a sandwich shop in dc. So I see an ordered of healing pork broth from JINYA on the horizon.

Yelp
The food was yummy and we will come back again! People are very polite and humorous We love the Nasu Miso the most!

Yelp
I have been a couple of other locations, but this place is my favorite. This place is huge with amazing ambiance. Lots of parking space near this neighborhood, but if you can't find any, you can park at the garage and shop something at the grocery store (they will validate your parking ticket). Service was great! For appetizers we ordered crispy fried shrimp and dumplings. Fried shrimp was so nice and crispy from the outside and tender from the inside. Absolutely recommend this. For entrees, we ordered traditional pork tonkatsu ramen. It has such great flavors that you can never go wrong with this choice. Portion size was great. I had so much for my leftovers.

Rumit P.

Yelp
I called in and ordered food for pickup (impossible rice bowl, impossible tacos). The rice bowl had way too much rice but still was very tasty. The tacos tasted fresh, packed with flavor and a smaller portion than I'd like but still excellent. The only hitch was that in a taco that includes only two things--guacamole and impossible meat--the guacamole was missing. I hope for better luck next time!

Yelp
As a Japanese who's enjoyed meals at several JINYA locations on the East and West coasts, I was disappointed with online pick-up and meals I received. My husband placed an order in the morning and picked up the meals smoothly. The meals were ready 20 minutes before the selected time window, so they were lukewarm when I dug in at home. The broth of the Spicy Umami Miso Ramen was flavorful and Jinya-quality. The soup wasn't too rich or spicy so it went well with the chewy thick noodles. However, my side/add-on menu was not prepared correctly since the salad was missing. Besides, even though I wrote it down as "no crispy garlic," it was completely ignored. The Impossible Rice Bow was creative and tasty. Just like Japanese soboro, the impossible meat was nicely seasoned so it tasted like real meat as well, but the box was filled with a lot of dry crispy chickpeas. I didn't even recognize the impossible meat until I ate a mouthful amount of kale. I am pretty sure that the experience would be totally different if I did a dine-in. Unfortunately, the online pick-up service seems not ready yet and needs additional training/attention. I would like to come back again for dine-in and enjoy regular fresh meals.

Yelp
Amazing experience!! We got the crispy chicken (our absolute favorite) and shrimp tempura, following up the regular chicken ramen & spicy chicken ramen. So delicious! Our server, Dewey was so hospitable and charming. The vibes of the restaurant were immaculate and made you feel like you were somewhere really cool and trendy. Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
I am so glad they finally opened this Jinya in the fantastic, trendy The Parks at Walter Reed community. I am a vast Jinya Ramen fan, and it is by far the most beautiful restaurant. The ambiance and service are excellent, and there is always quality food. I will be here often!

Yelp
Love this place, pretty good happy hour at this location from 3-7 PM. They add new items to the menu monthly it seems so def something new to try out each time I go. Ramen here is delicious and one of my favs in the area.

Yelp
I come here often, and the noodles are always super delicious. I always get the shrimp wonton noodles with the chicken broth instead of the pork broth. The service is pretty friendly. They shout some greeting in another language when you enter. It's culture! I also tried the fried wings one day and they were good too. I've never left here disappointed always super full!

Yelp
Food was excellent!!! I also had a really good mock tail. Service was also very good. Food arrived quickly and server was able to help with all our requests. The ambiance was very welcoming.

Yelp
This place had super delicious food. We got the Takoyaki (octo-balls) and pork roll for appetizer. Then we got the spicy umami and tonkotsu original ramen. Super fast and great service. Definitely wont disappoint, planning to go back soon!

Yelp
The ambience in this neighborhood hotspot was amazing. I absolutely love the build out and the mood of the restaurant. Having a Genia in Walter Reed is a true asset. The food was excellent. The service was friendly and the menu featured great variety. This is an excellent place to bring family members and guests when they drop by.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with very friendly and welcoming staff. I took my dad here for a belated Father's Day dinner. He's vegan, and it was his first time eating ramen. He loved it! The watermelon drink was also flavorful and refreshing after a hot summer day. Love that Jinya is located in the sleek newly built area surrounding the old Walter Reed hospital. I will be coming back.

Yelp
Ended up being the perfect place for an after work happy hour. Service was pretty good, and margaritas were delicious. We went on a Thursday night so it wasn't very packed which was nice. Somewhat disappointed by the ramen- got the spicy tonkotsu and was not very impressed compared to other spicy tonkotsu ramens that I've had, plus you have to pay extra to add may toppings (like egg) on an already expensive ramen.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite Ramen! I love the Tonkotsu Black Ramen. Takes me to my happy place! Thanks Dewey! You made our mundane Thursday night GREAT!!!

Yelp
The location is absolutely divine...great for date night, meet ups and just hanging on a weekday. This is a fairly new location, with construction going on around...I feel that this location is going to be booming with business in the spring and summer. We went on a Sunday and it was fairly quiet with a couple people out. Our waiter was Angel who was polite and explained the menu well. I've been to a couple jinya's before but my partner hasn't so I appreciate him providing recommendations. We ended up ordering the spicy chicken ramen with the crispy chicken and salad combo. Soooooo well cooked, packed with flavor. But the icing to the cake was the sesame seed sauce...when we added that to our ramennnn and the chicken ....soooo this sauce have to be added moving forward...Jinya's never a miss, no matter the location. They continue to exceed my expectations!!

Yelp
Recently brought my spouse here for a birthday dinner on Halloween. Was not very busy at all. The place is brand spanking new, very sleek, lots of seating options, and looks like a great place for groups. Food was also very good - tried one of their ramens as well as a few apps. Excellent and reasonably priced for DC and the space. Great portions. Service though, is where this place was unfortunately pretty subpar. Could be I just happen to have bad luck, but our main server was also the bartender, who was also splitting his time running around serving a bunch of tables around the bar. Unclear why this was, as it wasn't very busy at all. It took about 15 minutes for us to even get waters/have someone check in on us (the first person to do so wasn't even our server). Our main server/bartender very clearly spent his time favoring certain tables for whatever reason (some groups literally a few feet away from us on either side). We would've gotten a couple more rounds of drinks but he literally didn't check in again until long after we'd obviously finished our entrees (and I'd gotten up to flag him down). Really wanted to fall in love this place, especially since I recently moved to the area, but this was rather off putting. Willing to give it another shot, though.

Yelp
So- had to write a post even though I'm late with it and can't find my pics. I don't love ramen so i was not thrilled about the opening of this new spot. But so glad i tried it out anyway!! They had these AMAZING tuna salmon cones! I can't even explain! Served standing in a bed of rice. Super cute and the most delicious thing ever!!! Then.... They took it off the menu. Just like that. So we lost a star :( BRING IT BACK!!

Yelp
Fancy dinning area, which is nice. However, it's too pricy for the mediocre flavor ( my order is ramen noodle)..

Yelp
Would get 5 stars - I wish the pork chashu was served roasted or at least warmed up. First time I went the pork was cold. I had to ask them to warm it next time I went.

Yelp
OMG!! I recently dined at JINYA Ramen Bar located at The Parks at Walter Reed and had the pleasure of being served by Cassi (Cassandra). From the moment we sat down, Cassi provided exceptional service that truly enhanced our dining experience. I was also blown away by the exquisite cuisine. The attention to detail in every dish was remarkable, the taste was AMAZING! I will be back.

Yelp
First of all, thanks for coming into my neighborhood and sparing me a drive of only 15 minutes now! Location is beautiful, food is delicious and service is top tier! Mercedes is a man of many hats! I met him at another location only to find out he will be here with me now. He is an excellent bartender. I never had to open my mouth to ask for anything, literally. Lol he is really that on point. Thanks for making my solo lunch a special one. Really needed that today. Will be back a lot. Thanks Jinya!

Yelp
Jinya was everything! My colleague and I came to grab food and drinks after professional development. The food was excellent. The drinks were incredible. Keep the Love Potion on the menu. Mercedes catered to our every need. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I cannot enough great things about this location and the food. First, the location and the restaurant is just impressive. The atmosphere was so serene and the people are friendly and inviting. Most importantly, the food is incredible and the menu has something for everyone. Each person in my party could not say enough positive things about what the ordered. The Jinya Bun is a must try. The bun is so fluffy and braised pork is tender and exquisitely prepared. We each ordered Ramen bowls and were so satisfied with all of the selections. The Shrimp Wonton was incredible and my friends who ordered both the Spicy Chicken and Jinya Chicken loved the flavors. So worth the visit and without a doubt will be there again!!

Yelp
Service was horrible; there was something seriously wrong with their beer lines, the tonkatsu was waay too salty and was strange combination of both too hot and too cold. Someone needs to go to Japan to see how it's done or at least watch Tampopo a few times.

Yelp
Nice new space but loud music and know that this is a chain restaurant not a true Japanese establishment that cares about the requests of customers. If you have food allergies beware as they may claim to be accommodating but then you end up very sick like me. So disappointed.

Yelp
Great restaurant in Shepherd Park. Good food and service in a nice atmosphere. Parking available below the Grocery store across the street. Madeline is a great server.

Yelp
So excited JINYA opened at Walter Reed! Our first time did not disappoint. The food is excellent and the service is even better! Ask for Dewey!

Yelp
The food is okay.... Low seasoned if you are on dietary restrictions. The drinks are horrible. I have sent two drinks back and they all taste like dirty mop water. Strawberry margarita, lychee, and one other. I'd have to look at the menu. The ramen was okay, the spinach in my chicken ramen was not cooked down enough. The service is amazing!!! The ambience is amazing!

Yelp
So glad to have Jinya in the neighborhood. Delicious meal, and kids meal is amazing! I'm also excited to visit again for drinks as the bar area looks great. And of course the ramen is wonderful!

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner tonight and surprisingly very satisfying, my wife agreed with me which is a big bonus. I wish they will venture into Pho which will definitely increase our patronage!

Yelp
Recently went to Jinya with my wife and we enjoyed a delicious meal. We shared a bunch of small plates -- everything was good, but I think my personal favorite was the Impossible Bun. Our server did a great job of describing the various dishes and giving suggestions. Looking forward to going back sometime and trying the ramen!

Yelp
Since this location has opened up. I have eaten here at least two times a week. The ambiance and customer service is great. Management really goes above and beyond. Today I'm super sick, so I decided to order on door dash! I really wanted the lychee margarita mock tail. I spoke with the manager and he really went out of his way to provide great customer service! Thank you.
