This is my new Favorite Ramen spot! Jennifer our waitress was very attentive and informative on the menu options. The atmosphere is relaxed with soothing warm lighting mixed with beautiful dark wood features through out. But you won't get sleepy as you enjoy their delicious food options! They music has a club vibe with just the right amount of dance beats to keep you wanting more! I tried the Chef's Special and was delighted at how flavorful it was without being to in your face. I will Definitely be back for more and look forward to Jennifer serving us again!

Walked in.. greeted immediately! Loved their service! They were training at the same time but still got our food out on time and still check in on us. Love it! Our waitress told us of the special going on and she gave some good recommendations! 10/10 will be coming back! Their ramen soup base was the best and not to over powering with their onions! Loved it!

Had the Spicy Chicken Ramen and it was excellent. The broth had great heat and depth of flavor, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Service was outstanding — our server Zachary was attentive, friendly, and made the visit smooth. Highly recommend.

Google
10/10! By far my favorite Jinya location in and around Houston. The Tonkontsu Red level 5 was the perfect flavor and spice level! Best broth from any location I’ve had as well. Packed with seasoning and noodles, pork and egg cooked just right! Our server Kevin was exceptional and provided top notch customer service! Will definitely come back on my lunch breaks. 💯

Google
Brittney was an amazing waiter. She was very patient and helpful, and she took the time to help me choose my ramen by giving great suggestions. She also made sure my family and I were comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Her recommendations were spot on, and her service truly made our experience enjoyable.

Jinya Ramen Bar is absolutely a delightful gem of a place!!! The food is divine and the service is awesome! Ask for Shelby as a server. She is the best!!! Super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I was just passing through and she was so helpful, and kind. A+++

Google
I’ve visited Jinja Ramen twice now, and it delivers everything I expect from a great ramen spot. Both times, the experience has been consistently impressive—not just because of the food, but also because of the energy and hospitality that greet you the moment you walk in. 🎎 Atmosphere & Service (Short and Sweet) The staff here is incredibly vibrant. As soon as you step inside, the entire team greets you in unison with a loud welcome in Japanese—an unexpected detail that immediately sets the tone. The place is always packed during lunch hours, which says a lot. Even when there’s a line, it moves quickly and the staff stays attentive and upbeat. ⸻ 🍜 The Food (Where Jinja Truly Shines) The Broth The broth is the soul of their ramen, and Jinja nails it. Rich, deep, and perfectly balanced—flavorful without being overly salty and heavy without feeling greasy. It’s the kind of broth you can taste layers in: slow-simmered, aromatic, and comforting. Every spoonful feels intentional. Noodles The noodles taste house-made or extremely close to it. They have that ideal texture: firm, springy, and able to hold the broth without turning mushy. There’s a freshness to them that elevates the entire bowl. Egg (Ajitama) Their marinated ramen egg is excellent. Always seasoned well, with a creamy, soft-set yolk that adds richness to each bite. This is one of those details many ramen places get wrong—Jinja gets it right every time. Pork Belly (Chashu) The pork belly is outstanding. Tender but with a slight crispiness on the edges, carrying that toasted, caramelized flavor that spreads through the bowl. It simply melts into the broth. The portion is generous, and the quality is consistent across visits. Rice Bowl I’ve also tried their pork bowl, and it carries the same flavor integrity: savory, satisfying, and perfectly portioned. It’s a great backup for when you want something different but equally comforting. ⸻ ✔️ Final Verdict Jinja Ramen is the kind of place I could easily eat at every day. The broth, noodles, toppings, and the energy of the staff all come together to create a memorable experience. Delicious, consistent, and absolutely worth the wait if there’s a line. Highly recommended—100% a top ramen spot in Spring.

Google
Our food was amazing, we love this place!!! It’s my best friend’s favorite ramen spot, and my first time here, but we had so much fun! We were sat at a large communal table but you’re far enough away from everyone else that it doesn’t feel like you’re eating *with* those other people!!! Shelby was our server and she is just so sweet and amazing, she had our drinks refilled before I even noticed it was low! She explained the spice levels to us and helped me get the perfect order :D she also was fun to talk to while being professional and getting her job done!!! We’ll fs be back:)

Yelp
TEN OUT OF FIVE our waiter, Lucky, was so sweet and kind and helpful. The food was amazing, totally recommend the ramen with the wonton. The portions are very generous with an equally generous price. You get your money's worth people, I'm telling you. Will definitely be coming here again

Yelp
Without a doubt, I love coming to this location! Every time I come in, the experience is always great as expected from the consistency of the food to the amazing service and cleanliness of the place. The apps have to be one of my favorite things to order other than the obvious, Edamame and Vegan tacos that are out of my norm but can appreciate the flavors to make something so tasty. The chicken Spicy ramen is my all time favorite, so spicy and yet tasty, perfect for a cool night. The service is always great, not sure why there is negative reviews about it but they seem to always be up to beat and happy, including the kitchen staff which their positivity reflects on the tasty food. This place is always a go-to that will full fill all my expectations.

Yelp
I was debating between giving this place a 3-star or a 4-star. I'm visiting Houston from LA for the next few days and had JINYA as my first meal. Aesthetically, this place has a nice decoration inside. Food presentation was also superb. Upon arriving, we were seated and waited a while before our server came to us. It felt like a long time. She did apologize for the wait (maybe not knowing we were seated) - she was great at checking in after this. Service: 4/5. When it comes to the food, personally, I felt that it was average. I had the Black Tonkatsu, which needs more flavor. The toppings given were the perfect amount though. Chashu and noodles were cooked perfectly. It's just not enough flavor. I'd give this a 3.5/5. We also had the Chef's Special, Spicy Maze-Men. This was a no for me. I'm comparing this to the mazemen and mazesoba I've had in Cali. This Mazemen was salty and did not have enough umami flavor to it. They also added kimchi as a topping. Most places in Cali have a poached egg to mix the ramen, JINYA doesn't, so I'm not familiar with this. For the Chef's Special: 3/5. Would I come back if I'm ever in the area again? Sure. But it is not one of those places that I'd be craving.

Yelp
This is a late upload. My daughter and her boyfriend took me here for dinner and we had a good time. It was good and we enjoyed pir time. I will come back again-

Yelp
Love the ambience and design of this restaurant! Ramen was delicious and offered alot of variations. My only issue was the surprise the menu offered no beef or brisket. Minus that big gapping hole in the menu - the place and service is awesome! Would come back again!

Yelp
I visited with friends on a Friday evening, and we had a great time. We ordered the crispy chicken and crispy rice with spicy tuna for appetizers. They were really tasty. For dinner, I ordered the shrimp wonton ramen, and it was AMAZING. Service was okay and could've been better, but it was a busy Friday evening and the restaurant was a bit chaotic, so it's understandable. I also loved their drink menu. My friends had several cocktails and all of them enjoyed their selections. The food was delicious and fairly priced. The restaurant quieted down a bit later into the evening and I enjoyed the ambiance. I've been to different JINYA locations and this one was the best I've been to so far. I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Great customer service. Great lychee martini. We didn't have to wait too long even though it was Saturday night. The inside is really cool. The vibe is great. Unfortunately the ramen isn't great. Also unfortunately it's probably because Austin has spoiled us with the ramen there. I don't think I'll go back but I'm not mad that i gave it a try.

Yelp
Excellent service from Nicholas (5064) and recommendation for making the new chicken wings "extra crispy" - delicious. Got the spicy Tonkatsu and he brought an extra lil bowl of prepared hot sauce. So fun to add. And he let me know it disnt come with an egg so I added... BEST EGG EVER. His rapport with every customer was light, fun, and cheerful. What a delightful addition to Jinya. I stopped here a couple months ago after a meeting before an hour drive back to NASA area. And it is so worth stopping. What a great and well run restaurant.

Yelp
I came here for a dinner with my sister and Dad to celebrate a new job offer, and the location threw us off. This Jinya is labeled as being in "The Woodlands", when it is technically still in Spring. Technicalities aside, this location was absolutely popping on a Saturday night, and to be honest, I'm not sure why. We were seated pretty quickly despite the crowds, but that did mean we had to sit at the bar...this didn't allow us to sit together around a table like a family, which was a bummer. What I did like was the variety of vegetarian and vegan options, including two delicious-sounding ramen bowls. I got the Flying Vegan Harvest, which was a giant bowl of ramen in a creamy broth full of tofu, broccolini, corn, onion, and Beyond Meat crumbles. The meal itself was delicious, One thing that seemed strange was that when we left, we weren't saluted with the loud "ARIGATO!" that almost all customers received when they left. At first, my family and I were wondering why the staff was shouting every 30 seconds. When we left, we didn't get the same "ARIGATO!" treatment, which we found strange since they seemed to be on it with every guest that left before us...

Yelp
I had the Impossible Rice Bowl with Impossible™ crispy chickpeas, kale, pickled red cabbage, crispy garlic, and roasted pine nuts over steamed rice with vegan curry ranch. I am a fan of Impossible products but that seemed to be the restaurant's only offerings in terms of vegetarian fare. I especially did not like the vegan curry ranch sauce: it was yellow and tasted of mayonnaise or mustard. I do not expect to get mayonnaise in my Asian food! I also did not like the crispy chickpeas in the dish. This is not a great place for vegetarians and the service is only so-so.

Yelp
We have eaten at a Jinya in Houston before. We expected great ramen fun atmosphere and energetic wait staff. This location did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and found the friendly bartender to be so refreshing. Drinks were great, beer perfect temp and they had my wife's favorite white peach saki! Prompt service of our ramen which was well described by our server. Not a 5 due to high prices over $70 for 2 bowls of ramen 1 beer and 1 saki.

Yelp
This place is consistently delicious! I am a creature of habit and ordered the Spicy Vegan Ramen and the Jinya Bun. The customer service was good too. I think our waiter's name was Ryan, he was very kind and attentive. I enjoy going to this location for ramen!

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best, service was ok, and the ambiance has the potential to be great!

Yelp
1. Service - Our waitress was pretty on top of things. She checked up on us and refilled as needed. You wait to be seated, order and pay at your table. I don't understand why everyone is screaming in Japanese throughout the meal. I guess it's a tradition to welcome people or say thank you. It was a bit disturbing in my opinion. 2. Price - Inexpensive, Ramen was about $12-$13 a bowl. However, it can add up if you order a lot of side dishes. 3. Ambiance - High ceilings, very cool atmosphere. Definitely a good spot to hang with friends or bring a date. Dress code is casual. 4. Food - The display of food was very presentable. I do recommend their JINYA BUN. That was tasty. I'm not quite sure if I like my Wonton Chicken Ramen. Will have to try something more traditional next time, like the TONKOTSU SPICY RAMEN. I've had that in other locations, and that has always been pretty satisfying. 5. Cleanliness - Clean dining area, same with the restrooms.

Yelp
This restaurant nails everything from (obviously) the ramen, to the atmosphere, to the customer service. Our waiter was very nice and eager to explain the menu to us since we weren't too familiar with them, also they were quick with the refills which is great. For appetizers and dessert, we had the JINYA bun (which was amazing and super tender), the takoyaki (which, while delicious, had a little too much of the egg tartar on it), and the mochi ice cream which I honestly didn't like at all (too grainy ice cream and too rubbery shell). I had the JINYA Tonkotsu Black ramen (spicy) but I got thicker noodles added in. The broth was so savory and the pork was good as hell, it'd pull apart if you blew on it. I didn't know what kikurage was but I was pleasantly surprised by its crunchy texture even if I couldn't taste too much of it. Overall, pretty much everything was great and I would highly recommend it. Also the cooks are gonna shout something in Japanese when you (or other patrons) walk in, so don't be surprised lol.
google avatar

Claire C.

Yelp
I have only ever been to this JINYA location, but it is so cute and clean inside! The restaurant is on the smaller side and was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. We were lucky to grab a spot at the high top before a large party came in behind us. The service overall was great - the food came very quickly and the waiter was very helpful and attentive. Everything my friends and I ordered was AMAZING! I got the JINYA Tonkotsu Black, which I highly recommend. The broth was seasoned really well, and the egg was cooked perfectly. I am kind of picky when it comes to noodles and I thought they were also cooked very nicely. My friends ordered the Chicken Ramen and the Tonkotsu Original - both were also delicious. I will definitely be coming back to try the other ramens on the menu.

Yelp
Kaarage has always been on point at Jinya whether its CA, NV, or TX. Crispy dark meat and crunchy Surprised about the black Tonkatsu ramen as the noodles were chewy and the broth was perfect Takoyaki was subpar or am I comparing it to what we had in Osaka Overall, I would definitely come back to this location especially with a free charging station near by
google avatar

David O.

Yelp
I have only done DoorDash with them so I can't rate the actual place, but the delivered food is always hot and tastes great. It is delivered separated and you have to mix it yourself, which adds a step but I think with food like this it is important to not have it sitting while you wait for it to be delivered. The shrimp tempura is awesome as well.

Santiago O.

Yelp
Amazing food and alternative seating arrangements. My wife and I visited this location about a week and a half ago early in the evening. The place was full and we were told we would have to wait around 40 minutes to be seated. Thankfully, we were given a spot within 20 minutes. I hadn't seen pictures of the establishment or read much about it, so I was pretty shocked when we were guided to a table with four other people on it. While it was odd, I assume that this is how these places are so my wife and I just enjoyed the new experience. The waiter was amazing, giving detailed explanations of the Menu and even offering us deals. We started with the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna and ordered the Tonkotsu Spicy and JINYA Tonkotsu Black as our entrees. The Spicy Tuna was amazing, with the hot crunch of the rice mixing well with the soft, cold texture of the tuna. I would warn that it does have a kick, but nothing unbearable. I enjoyed that the Tonkotsu Spicy came with the spicy paste on the side so I could decide how spicy I wanted my broth to be. I always have an issue when ordering spicy Ramen bowls because they're either too spicy to consume at a comfortable pace or lack flavor. While the contents of the Ramen bowl are great, the star of the show is their broth. I could drink any soup that contains that broth and it's one I am still thinking about regularly. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine. The portions are on the small side, but the prices aren't too high and you will most likely leave this place with a very satisfied palate.

Yelp
I was able to get up there today, for Mother's Day. While it was very busy, my experience was great! Andrew was my bartender and was extremely helpful. Lexi, one of the managers, also checked in to see how I was doing. Very impressed to see how smooth everything was handled on a day like today. Food was excellent as always!

Ingrid R.

Yelp
Amazing! I always come here when I want good quality service and ramen :) Once I came here and now every other ramen doesn't taste as good as Jinya Ramen, beware!
google avatar

MC F.

Yelp
Loved the decor and ambiance at this place! It's one of my sister's favorite places in The Woodlands area, so she and I had dinner there last night. Our server was absolutely outstanding. He was informative, gracious, attentive, and efficient. We experienced a bit of an anomaly when the power went out, but the staff remained calm and friendly. The power did come back on before we left, and there were still people coming in, so it's obviously pretty popular! I enjoyed most of the dishes; however, I did find it all to be under seasoned. I look forward to another visit in the future, and I intend to try more dishes.
google avatar

Linda D.

Yelp
How can even being to say how awesome my experience here was .Our waiter Andrew was very helpful in recommending items on the menu for us to try . We had ramen noodle bowls and curry balls and creamy shrimp and Brussel sprouts! The noodles were better than anything I could dream of . I loved my mojito which had coconut and mango and rum . This place is so good ! Definitely recommend coming and checking it out
google avatar

Frankie H.

Yelp
Love the look inside, option to seat at table or bar. This is my first time at a Ramen restaurant. I'm sad to say I didn't like the food. The taste was not what I expected, I only ate a few spoons of it. The egg was a seasoned egg, it was not cut in half and it looked over cooked but maybe the look was the season. I brought the leftover home and my daughter didn't like it either. Like I mentioned this was my first time so maybe Ramen is not my type of food.
google avatar

Courtney G.

Yelp
Absolutely everything about this specific location is amazing! The service is outstanding and the staff are friendly! Food is super flavorful and cozy! Will always pick this location!
google avatar

Mohit S.

Yelp
Worst ever location to go to. Refrain from this location as they are quite racist and provide the worst possible service. It takes them over an hour just to give Ramen and serve the customers who came later with the food first. On top of it the food quality was worst, we ordered the jalapeño butter corn which was literally so bad. Other locations do have better quality food. They are an absolute joke and are just spoiling the Jinya brand name. I have been to multiple Jinya locations around US and it is an absolute worst location to go to. They also charge unnecessary extra costs when you substitute items in Ramen which no other location does. On asking about it the manager and servers were quite rude about it. I wish I could give 0 stars but the minimum stars allowed to post a review is 1. Please Avoid this location and go to other locations.
google avatar

Vinh N.

Yelp
I was surprised to see a Jinya in this location, and the food is consistent in quality and taste with my experience in Midtown. Where the Midtown didn't have the Tsunami White Pearl on the menu, this location did. It is salty given the abundant Impossible Meat but I didn't mind. I think I prefer the Flying Harvest which has less of the faux meat. I also noticed that the prices on the menu were cheaper than Midtown a couple of dollars so that's a plus for the suburbs. I also don't need to worry about parking. Clientele had more families than young singles & couples. I was also surprised to see that the bartender was not Asian, and the wait staff did not wear flannel.
google avatar

York L.

Yelp
Man how do I describe the ramen here...wow. This was is a treat. I ordered the tonkatsu black garlic ramen, and my goodness it was phenomenal. The broth was extremely flavorful, the noodles were great, and what impressed me the most is the egg. The egg was just cooked right and they served it without cutting it open and it just shows the confidence and the skill of the chef. I had my fair share of ramen back home, but my goodness this is one of the best. Service was great, decor was awesome. 10/10 will keep coming back.

Yelp

Yelp
Consistency is what I love about Jinya. I've been to pretty much all of their locations in the Houston area & I have to say that I've left satisfied 95 percent of the time. I remembered giving Jinya a try at the downtown location in 2015 and it was a rocky start, more so because the service was subpar. I'm glad they were able to do their best to get it together. Here's what we've ordered. * Pork Gyoza- it was delicious. Came out fresh & piping hot. The filling was full of flavor and moist. I felt like I was eating some soup dumplings because it was that juicy. 4.7/5 * Chicken Ramen- I thought it was good enough to finish but I felt that the broth was boring & needed salt. The creatively was really lacking & just needed more ingredients to amplify this bowl of soup. 3/5 * Tonkotsu Black- one of my favorite items at Jinya, I've never been disappointed when I get the Tonkotsu Black. The broth is rich, flavorful & creamy. The chashu was tendered & just melts in your mouth. The egg was cooked the way I like, which is runny on the inside. The noodles were firm to my liking as well. 5/5 Overall I was pretty satisfied. Our server Thomas provided quick and nice service but I felt that he was more attentive to his other tables than ours. Other than that, I have no complaints. The place was also clean & modern. Will I come back? Yep.
google avatar

Anokhy D.

Yelp
Make sure you get there early or make a reservation! They have a text system if you don't have a reservation and it gets busy where you can put in your number and receive a text when seats become available. That being said, any wait time is worth the wait here. The ramen is consistently delicious and hits the spot on rainy days, which in Texas is half the year. I usually get the tonkatsu original ramen with corn, and that egg comes out perfect every time.
google avatar

Bryan T.

Yelp
Always the best Ramen! First day of the freeze 2024 and this definitely hit the spot.
google avatar

Kaitlyn H.

Yelp
Food and service is always good. Good place for to go orders. Seating is close together, dark and loud at night.

Yelp
This is our favorite ramen restaurant in The Woodlands. So delicious and great service! Love the atmosphere (even though it's a bit loud at times).

Yelp
Food was good and portion were great for the price. Staff were friendly and it family/friends environment.

Yelp
Heavy food! Be ready to feel full, but in the best way. Have tried multiple variations and have not been disappointed. Appetizer Brussel sprouts are on point!
google avatar

Sheila M.

Yelp
Amazing food!! We enjoyed our visit and service from JT was awesome. :) Definitely would come back and enjoy this food again. Manager Nick was also attentive to us and definitely puts his customers first. Overall great experience

Jari Tamayo ..

Yelp
Pretty solid ramen bar Food comes out quickly I just wish they improved their noodles. The Ichiran box ramen I order from amazon has better noodles in terms of texture and taste. The broth also stands to be improved as it doesn't have much beef/pork fat, so it tastes watery at times. Overall, a solid place to visit for a quick bite.
google avatar

Yelp
JINYA Ramen is a must-try for any ramen enthusiast! Their Spicy Chicken Ramen is seriously delicious - it's got the perfect amount of kick and the chicken is always cooked to perfection. But here's the thing - you've gotta get the table sauces. Trust me, it's not worth it without them. The garlic chili paste and soy sauce are game changers, and they take the ramen to a whole new level. The vibe at JINYA is also pretty chill - it's the perfect spot for a low-key lunch or dinner with friends. And if you're feeling adventurous, try one of their other menu items - the gyoza and fried chicken are both amazing. Overall, JINYA Ramen is definitely worth checking out. It's got great food, and a cool vibe and those table sauces are the secret to a perfect bowl of ramen. So go ahead, slurp up those noodles, and enjoy!

Yelp

Yelp
Been going to Jinya for about 5 years now! Great ramen! Employees are awesome too! Most of them know my order when I walk in! Love their contests as well!
google avatar

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS PHENOMENAL! I lived in seattle Washington for 5 years and they have some of the best ramen I've ever had in my life. This place was dang near as good as the spots in seattle. Chefs kiss to everything I ordered! So much flavor, the waiters were awesome, and the place was neat and clean with quick service! LOVE IT HERE!
google avatar

Yelp
Jinya is always a good time. The food was good and staff was friendly! Get the wonton ramen, you won't be dissapointed.
google avatar

Yelp
No matter what location of Jinya you go to, the food tastes uniform and it is always amazing. A hot bowl of ramen on a cold day is all you need. The service was good even with a busy dining room. And the ambiance is just like any other Jinya. I'm glad they are everywhere!

Yelp
I would like for you to consider too ignore anything negative anyone has said about this place . I am so impressed with the quality of the food, not only that but the service . AMAZING WILL be returning!

This was our 1st time here & it was delicious The service was great. They are on top of everything. Always making sure you have everything you need. The restaurant itself it very nice, very clean, loved it! If you're looking for good ramen at a great price you have to try JINYA Ramen Bar. You won't be disappointed.
