JJ’s Custard Company - Canton

The staff is super friendly, it was 3 young adults working and bringing in good energy! They have cool art work and are located in a safe neighborhood attached to lots of other little restaurants and stores. I had a simple twist ice cream since I can’t eat too much ice cream and it was perfect since for 3.99 that’s all I could ever eat. My partner had a fancy ice cream and she loved it. We will definitely be back here one day again, the staff deserves a raise and tips, be good to them! Thank you again!

I ordered the Pineapple Sundae with fresh strawberries and it was so good! The custard was creamy, the fruit tasted super fresh, and everything came out fast. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The only downside is it’s a little on the pricey side for the portion, but definitely worth it as a treat. I’ll be back for sure! 🍍🍓

I ordered a small scoop of irish mint custard with hot fudge. I was informed adding hot fudge would make it the same price as a sundae which comes with peanuts, cream and cherries. This tiny cup of mediocre custard set me back $8.51 before tip. This is honestly a disgraceful and absurd price for this product. I will not be returning.

The store is clean & the menu is very direct and easy to understand! If you have questions, the ladies working are very helpful. They have a lot of interesting options and stay open til 11pm on Sundays which is very cool! 😎 I especially liked that vegan options are available & they make pies that you can carry out. We got Dole Whip Vanilla dipped in Strawberry & Shortcake topping. From the taste of it, you can tell they make their own SS topping which was very delicious. 😋 The prices are very affordable which is also why I am leaving a 5-star rating. You get quality options & items for half the price of competitors. I live in Detroit but I don’t mind making that trip because it’s well worth it!

Looking for a late-night sweet treat? Look no further than The Custard Company! This place left me wanting more, and I can't wait to go back and see what else they have to offer. Conveniently located a short distance from Superior Township or Ypsilanti, with free parking available, I was able to make a late-night trip for some ice cream since they close at 11 pm. When I walked in, the atmosphere was friendly, clean, and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they sell my favorite local ice cream brand, Guernsey's Dairy Ice Cream! But the real highlight was when I checked the menu and saw that they offer Dole Whip - not just pineapple, but also mango and another flavor! My jaw dropped, and I couldn't contain my excitement. I ordered a serving, and it was smooth, cold, and just right. I'm already looking forward to going back to try more flavors!

This was my first time visiting JJ’s Custard Company. I ordered a small cup of the birthday cake flavor—it was really tasty but very sweet, so I didn’t end up finishing it. I also asked for a cup of water, but it was warm and had a strange aftertaste, which was a bit disappointing.

Got a chocolate milkshake and it was decent. Not my favorite I’ve ever had, but it was really good. Service was fast and friendly and the facility was clean.

JJ's Custard has good quality frozen custard, ice cream, and other unique desserts. The chocolate custard was a big light in flavor, but may have been drowned out by combining biscoff espresso. The menu isn't quite clear because there seems to be an extra charge for trying two flavors and for the ice cream on a sugar cone.
