JJ's Wood Fired Pizza

Gone in 60 seconds. I went in just to get a snack, wasn't expecting much. An employee on his way out gave me the recommendation and got a sale, i wasnt even planning for pizza. Man was I wrong! Not only was it good but the gentleman (I hate i didnt get his name) but he took my order and beat me to the counter when my pizza was ready. Best wood fried pizza I've had to date! Will be back!

Pizza was not very good, pretty average, could get the same at pretty much anywhere. Service took forever, restaurant looked and sounded great.

This is my new "go to" place in Fort Collins. JJ's exceeds my expectations on quality product, good prices and fabulous staff. Beer selection is excellent and the prices on happy hour are as good as you can find anywhere in FTC. I am always happy when I see Brandy behind the bar, she is so up-beat. She's a keeper. With the said, the entire staff is a quality crew. The folks working the dough and oven are all over their work. In a word, dedicated.

This was a long overdue visit... I hear a lot about JJ's Wood Fired Pizza, but it's literally as far away from my home as I could go and still be in Fort Collins. Nice atmosphere, very appropriate for families. The pizza had very good flavor, but pretty shy on toppings. Our salads were fresh and tasty, but for me it's off-putting to be served out of an aluminum bowl with plastic lid... Good selection of beer! And the employees were ALL friendly and helpful! Because of the distance, I won't be making this a regular hangout. Maybe when our grandkids are old enough to enjoy pizza...

Traveled 55 miles here to try out JJ’s Wood Fired Pizza. Didn't just travel here for pizza, but did some shopping up here too. Enjoyed the clean open atmosphere and the pizza. Ordered gluten-free bread for one pizza. The gluten-free option wasn't too bad. When you see the inside looks uncooked but it wasn't. A lot better than hard gluten-free choices out there. Would visit again when I'm in the area.

Not only is this the best pizza in town, they saved our wedding!! Our caterer’s had an emergency right before our wedding and no showed. Somehow the amazing team at JJs cranked out 40 delicious pizzas in 45 minutes! Our guest loved it and we are forever grateful!!

This place never disappoints, best wings, AMAZING pizza, everyone is so nice and the atmosphere is so fun. Super laid back, we will be back! Thank you!

The pizza here is amazing… Super fresh and delicious ingredients cooked to perfection in a traditional Neapolitan style pizza oven. Awesome staff, great atmosphere & layout. Some of the best pizza in Northern Colorado!

The pizza was great! Thin, crisp ( but not cracker like) and had that charred flavor that only comes from a wood fired oven. We ordered the meatballs and salad as an appetizer- both were really good. The service was good. The person taking the order was helpful and very friendly. The only place that falls down a bit here is the ambiance. This is at a convenience store/ gas station. It's a "order at the counter" type place, then go find your silverware and a place to sit. It's PACKED at 5pm on a Saturday, so everyone knows the food is good. The pizza quality and that massive oven from Naples DESERVE to be in a place where you can sit and order, have a bottle of wine, and really savor. If I was local I'd pick up pizza to go often.

Note that this is in a gas station area, so don't be surprised. Also, you walk in, and you order at the counter. They give you a buzzer for your pizza. They actually brought it out to us, which I assume is because it wasn't as busy or why the buzzer. I got a gluten-free lasagna as the meatballs are 100% beef. My hubby got Marco's pizza. Mine was ever cooked for my liking. His looked great. It was recommended by a local, and I'm glad we tried it. The gluten-free crust was good.

Wow, no wonder fellow locals rave about this little joint! Delicious, wood fired pizzas and salads and deserts and apps and drinks... great service and suggestions, delicious mixed up margaritas slushees... highly recommended!

Surprised by the menu offerings and the quality of the food. Fast casual atmosphere and friendly service. Food was prepared quickly and delicious. We will be back.

I was in the area for a couple of days, and just yelped local places! And oh I'm so happy I did! If you read the past reviews you will hear to not be skeptical of the location, I 100% validate that! Do not miss on this place based on location! chicken BBQ pizza was great. The crust just tasted Fresh and ingredients tasted fresh! Prices were very fair and reasonable. Customer service was 5*, the employees were kind, friendly and attentive. This is a very casual place, not fancy at all, the environment is super relaxed! Be sure to try the margarita's!!

Jj's wood fire pizza, good pizza - but not too memorable it was just pizza at the end of the day. Still on the hunt for some true New York style east coast pizza, thin crust, sweet sauce! The journey continues Fort Collins! Another great local business to support, prices might be inflated due to proximity to Horsetooth reservoir. Pizza is a hard review everyone likes it different this one just not my cup of tea! If the pic looks good, go for it! Crust was to die for! Me lady didn't like the crust tho...

Gas station pizza... that's what I always thought. Boy was I wrong JJs is now our preferred pizza joint. It's all about the crust and fresh toppings. They nail it everytime. My only wish is they did fresh salads instead of pre prepped in a tin. Maybe one day

Totally didn't know what to expect...between a gas station and liquor store... looked pretty sketchy! But was I wrong...great beer, really good think crust pizza...and love the crust! Ordered a pitcher of a hazy IPA and two pizza - bbq and spicy pepperoni (forget what they called it) - we should have split because it was way too much for the both of us. Highly recommend

We picked JJ's based on the reviews and drove up from Loveland where we were staying. We almost didn't stop because it looked like a restaurant in a gas station - but luckily we pulled in anyway. The restaurant was nice, and had a very inviting patio. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and garlic bread. The pizza was cooked to perfection and the seasoning on the garlic bread was amazing. This was certainly worth the drive!

Super efficient systems in place here. I love the limited service approach. The restaurant was very well set up and also very clean. You scan the menu on your phone and order at the counter. We got a salad that you can grab from a case. We are our salad while we waited for the food. It was very fast! Ordered the Caesar salad, homemade meatballs, and the Adamo pizza. The salad was delicious although it's hard to mess up Caesar salad. The homemade meatballs came with a bunch of sauce and focaccia. The sauce was super flavorful and so was the focaccia. The meatballs were tasty but nothing to rave about. The adamo pizza was very tasty! I loved the crust, it was so flavorful and very well cooked. Great little pockets of cheese and then pepperoni and sausage. The staff here were very polite and they were BUSY. Wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

Hands down the best pizza I have ever had. Lived all over the country and you can't beat it. The bar is awesome as well. Go here once a week at minimum.

Stopped in today for lunch and we're glad we did! Simple, casual vibe and atmosphere. Friendly staff, pizza was really good, good selection of beer and drinks. I would recommend!

We've lived in Fort Collins for nearly 8 years. How did we never hear about JJ's Wood Fired Pizza. Perhaps because it is tucked away in the middle of nowhere SW Fort Collins at Taft and Harmony in a gas station truck stop. Really I have to thank Fort Collins' first Yelp CM Becki K for the recommendation/glowing review she wrote. I was 3 minutes late coming down for dinner...and the picture says it all. Not only does the camera not get to eat first, but clearly neither does the Yelper. I managed to fight for a few morsels and WOW! Super good. We ordered 3 types of wings (good but pricey at $1/wing). Not sure what all the flavors were but all were great. Comes with a generous tub of ranch. We also ordered a pint of 4 large meatballs with tomato sauce. Really excellent. We also had a small order of focaccia bread, which must have been good because I didn't get any. And then we got 2 12" pizzas (only one size option), a margherita and a meat lover. The family thinks this is their favorite pizza in town now. Total $35+tip. We would likely order the same items again. Not a bad value for a family of 4 including 2 hungry teenage boys.

As you drive down Taft Hill, you have the silhouette of Horsetooth Mountain towering over the town, and a little gas station packed with RVs that's hiding a secret. As much as I'd like to keep this secret, the world needs to know - JJ's Wood Fired Pizza is the best wood fired pizza I have ever consumed in my life! We waltzed in one day on a whim and sat at the bar. They have an extensive, and very fairly priced (especially at happy hour) tap list, wine offerings, frozen margaritas and sangria. The bartender quickly got us some cold Odell IPAs in gigantic icy mugs to sip on as we perused the menu. While it took us forever to decide, we finally settled on splitting two - the Hawaiian and Adamo's (named after the owners' son). We waited for only five minutes and were presented with perfectly cooked pizzas. The crust was thin and crispy throughout, the toppings piping hot... Then we dove in. Adamo's is topped with fresh ricotta, Italian sausage and pepperoni and has a nice kick to it. The Hawaiian was balanced with sweetness from the pineapple and salty bite from the mozzarella. We devoured each within minutes while chatting with the wonderful staff and neighbors at the bar. Keep in mind, they don't do floor service, so if you feel the need to be waited on the bar is the place to be, and the service there is incredible! We've been back many, many times and don't plan to stop this streak anytime soon - especially since they're still offering takeout during this time of craziness the world is going through.

Super busy on a Friday night and the staff did really well keeping up with getting everyone served and tables cleared. Really good job on that. But pizza sauce was flavorless and not impressive. It literally just tasted like cheese and dough. Dough was chewy and delicious but everything else was disappointing

Best pizza in Fort Collins. Eat it there--it doesn't hold up to take out. Which is fine, that's just how wood fired pizza is meant to be enjoyed.

Pizza and hospitality was amazing, our order was ready within 5 minutes and they were pretty busy. Tables were nice and clean and I really like the ambience of the building. Margarita pizza was a solid 8.5/10. Thanks for having us !!!! Off to Los Angeles. Highly recommend.

For being part of the entire JJ's Corner empire, between a liquor store and a gas station you wouldn't expect much, but the pizza is fantastic! Salads are great too! We haven't eaten inside, we always grab it to go on our way to Horsetooth. It's our go to when we don't feel like grilling on our pontoon boat!

We ordered a Hawaiian pizza. The crust was very soggy and mushy.. the cheese kept falling off our pizza. We don't plan on going back.

Pizza wasn't that great honestly. We had a cheese and pepperoni, which was lacking on sauce and cheese quality, and was doughy-tasting. They seem to only offer 12" pizzas as well. Wouldn't return. Everything else was good though.

Excellent wood-fired pizza. Our vote for best in Fort Collins. Dine in or take out, this place is the bomb. The hard part is deciding what to choose.

Horrible I asked for crispy not burnt the crust was charcoal black the pizza was not crispy it was soggy I opened the box and smelled horrible because it was so burnt could not eat it ! ! Waste of $$$!!

Don't let the location fool you. I honestly thought this was a typical gas station pizza, until my husband paid them a visit. So good, nothing like camping and eat a wood fired pizza outdoors. Must try! They are also the local's favorite pizza joint.

JJ's Wood Fired Pizza is located in the JJ Plaza. Don't know who JJ is but they've covered all their bases from a gas station to a liquor store to this pizza place. Given the vibe from the outside you'd think the pizza place might be a little rough, but, once you enter, it does have the surprising feel of a clean, well-maintained neighborhood pizza place. There are many pizza options on their menu or you can create your own with toppings as I did. A pizza with choice of cheese, sauce, and two toppings ends up being $10.99. Pizzas are all the same size and probably could be comparable to medium pizzas at the average pizza restaurant. The pizza was enjoyable. I appreciated the wide variety of vegetable options in toppings including capers which are growing as a new favorite pizza topping for me. Ultimately, if in the mood again, I'd come back to JJ's and certainly if around that area and looking for pizza.

Best pizza!!! Great menu if you're in the mood for wood fired oven pizza (which is hard to find out here vs out East). I like the lively atmosphere as well, they have a bar area with decent beer on tap and wine. Nothing super fancy but good for a date night if everyone's in the mood for some good quality pizza.

I come here after Stand-Up-Paddleboarding the Horsetooth Reservoir everytime! You would never expect the quality they offer from a random pizza place next to a gas station. They actually have a classic wood fired pizza oven from Napoli! This place is legit! The DiMatteo is my favorite and is always super fresh.

We moved to FC from San Francisco not long ago and one of the foods I have missed most is the popular Napoli-style pizza served at places like Pizzeria Delfina. I'd given up hope finding it and settled for thicker crusts and too many chili flakes, until we stumbled across JJ's! Their I'd rank their Dimatteo pizza with the best of San Francisco - thin, perfectly cooked crust and fresh toppings with just the right amount of sauce. Thanks, JJ's for making me feel a little more at home in Fort Collins!

Such a great little hidden gem with an authentic Italian wood fire pizza stove. After a day on the lake or shredding dirt bikes, I love coming here to wash my boat or dirt bike with the wash next door and then have a delicious pizzas with friends. Everything is good!

Went there twice and never disappoints. Ordered online and each time the order was ready. The staff is great. No matter how busy they are, they take the time to help you out.

Hands-down the best pizza in Fort Collins. This place is kind of small and it's a hole in the wall, stuffed somewhere in between the surrounding gas station/liquor store/corner store. My go-to order is a large pie with a mozzarella sticks app. It picks me up so quick if I'm in a bad mood. Also available here: beer growlers, a bar, beer on tap, multiple televisions, indoor and outdoor seating, an ENORMOUS wood-fire pizza oven that makes the place smell amazing. Staff is always very friendly, and everything is always very clean.

Just visited Ft Collins for the first time and wondered where the best pizza would be. Saw 'wood fired' and then saw this place is a local service stop- gas, convenience store, liquor store, RV storage.., wait what? How good could pizza from this establishment be? Come on? Really? YES REALLY! Best pizza- I'm talking gourmet level, served by friendly staff, in a clean and well kept environment. I watched as imported Italian 00 flour was made into authentic dough, stretched with skill, and baked in an authentic wood burning pizza oven then served with pride as they know it's perfection. Skip that fancy smancey place in old town and hit up this spot instead and hang with the locals who KNOW their pizza!

A few years ago when we arrived in Fort Collins, my parents showed up with a few pies "from a place next to a gas station" and we've been going ever since. Nice thin crust pies. Great options. Best pizza in town. Wings are great too!

Honestly thought it was just a gas station & car wash with "pizza in the back". We tried it based on other reviews and must say they are right... good pizza, beer, wine, apps & dessert. We'll be back. Only negative is it was super loud. Not good acoustics with lots of people.

I got the Lasagna pizza, and my husband got the Diavola. I didn't really care for the lasagna pizza, and in fact asked for extra marinara. However, I tried a slice of the Diavola and it was really yummy. I'd go back for the Diavola.

This place is punching above its weight. I had low expectations as the location is all part of a car wash, liquor store, and gas station. But I walked in and the place is a real restaurant with bar, good seating and lighting. Most importantly they make authentic yummy pizza with what appears to be a real Italian pizza oven. We had a pre made side salad with delicious balsamic dressing. Staff was friendly (typical kindness in Fort Collins). Give 'em a try, you won't be disappointed.

Holy heck this place is awesome. Cool atmosphere and fantastic food. The lasagna pizza was great, kids had spaghetti and meatballs and they were also very good. Nice beer selection.

The southwest side of Fort Collins this. The outside needs a little work to look inviting - like flowers but it SNOWED yesterday. Too early. However the inside is beautiful and welcoming! Cute and modern with the pizza oven adding color and function. I am a bit of a pizza snob and these guys hit it on the mark. Crisp, delicious toppings. Really very good. Thanks Madi for the outstanding service. Will be back! Well, we are so very happy you reopened! We missed you guys. The pizza is still excellent and we are happy you are open for lunch more. But the fast casual, serve yourself is just sad. We LOVED the excellent service and atmosphere before. It felt like a great, community restaurant which we sorely need on the west side. But with the 'walk up and order, you have taken a huge step backwards. Please reconsider. We love to patronize this business, but you've made it hard now.

Cannolis are great and pizza is the best in Fort Collins. We ordered the Margherita, BBQ chicken, and a pepperoni/pineapple. All were delicious.

Food was ok at best, crust not crispy like true thin crust, just didn't taste great, we were he before COVID and was good sad to see it go downhill!

LOOOVE JJs pizza we always order their Dimetao (spelling?) pizza with added Sausage and it's never disappointing! It comes with prosciutto and fresh arugula with a drizzle of spinach. Also the mozzarella sticks are delicious and I love their red sauce on the side. Watch out for the fish bowls they are dangerous in a good way This all being said we haven't dove much into anything else.

Very tasty pizza and really nice people. Good selection of beer as well. My wife like the big pour of wine.

This place used to be great when there was table service. Now we have to keep getting up through the meal for drinks, to clean the table, get to go boxes, etc. It's no longer the relaxing place it used to be. We went twice after they stopped table service and haven't gone back since. It's sad because we used to frequent before.

Had heard such great things. Disappointed. Ingredients missing. Pizza cold. Probably won't try again.
