JK Kabab House is, I believe, a subsidiary of the JK Kabab on Devon Street. They do not serve all of the items on the original menu, but whatever they do serve, they do it well.
Now, I make sure to read reviews before I go to a place, and when I go to a place that does not have very many reviews, I try my best to be objective. I read a few of the people complaining about the time it takes for food to be ready/arrive - my first review features this. If the food that does arrive is absolutely fresh and made to order, and tastes fantastic, then it's worth the wait. The first time I came here, I waited patiently and was rewarded with great food. The second time, I was smarter, I ordered 10 minutes ahead of arriving, and my food was on my table within 10 minutes. If you have a big party of people (we were a party of 3), I'd perhaps order 20-30 minutes in advance.
Moving on to the food - no other way to put it, the food is GREAT! The chili chicken is top notch, the same as JK in Devon. The Lamb and Beef Seekh Kabab are seasoned to PERFECTION. The chili chicken fried rice is pretty good, but I'd rather get it separately and mix them together. The tandoori chicken is good, but the chicken tikka is better. The salad and the yogurt are top notch, but the red sauce is only so-so. Lastly, that paratha is SUBLIME! Order the paratha, please! A bit of a disappointment that they don't serve the soup as an appetizer like JK on Devon, but it's a disappointment I can get over.
