Such a cute spot for catchups with friends and drinking a cocktail or two! My friend and I visited Joanie’s on a Friday evening and it was packed with people. We ordered a few dishes to share between us and a cocktail each. Everything was lovely and wait staff were super friendly and very attentive. I really loved the uniqueness of the cured tuna crudo, it was delicious! I love that this place can be a spot for dinner or just grabbing a view drinks and some small plates! Perfect for all year round too

Wow what a cool place, awesome decor and vibe. From the minute we walked in we were greeted by a lovely young lady that was happy to see us and show us to a reserved table that we requested if one become available (this was a great upgrade from a seat at the bar but we would of still loved that) Food is terrific, all the staff are friendly and customer focused. Great Cocktails and wine. Awesome music from a DJ on Technics decks. We will be back absolutely loved it!

Loved the atmosphere the most as there were plenty of tables in their backyard / courtyard, especially on a beautiful evening! I must admit though that I was disappointed by portion sizes considering how expensive each dish cost (crumb veal with coleslaw was almost $30 and carbonara was $28!). The carbonara was on the salty side but the veal and coleslaw was light and refreshing, great for a summer dinner. Anyway, good place to maybe have a couple of bar bites with a drink but maybe not dinner (unless you order more than two dishes).

We had our wedding celebration at Joanie's Baretto in Dec 2023 and had the best time! Everything from the initial communication/outreach to the actual event (food, service, bar service) were all amazing! We had so many of our guests comment on how great the food and cocktails were so compliments to the chef and bartenders working that day.

3.5 STARS Went here for a quick drink with friends. I had an espresso Martini which was creamy but a bit too sweet for me. My friends enjoyed their drinks. Enjoyed the music ... specially the 80s music :) Will come here again to up it to 4 stars!

We popped in here in a whim while out exploring Thornbury and were so glad we did. Great authentic vibe, friendly service behind the bar, birra moretti on tap, and delightful applies were all had. Will absolutely be back to sample more of the menu in future.

Trendy local wine bar with food that really does taste homemade. Great for a wine or 2 and the music does get pumping from 7pm on a Saturday night. It's not a place for chit-chat as it can be loud but the atmosphere was nice and the semi outdoor area at the back with twinning grapevines is very cosy and relaxing. Toilets are unisex but very clean.

I ended up at this bar because a couple of friends were having a combined birthday party. In fact, if it wasn't for that we wouldn't have found about about this place at all. It turned out to be rather delightful, and the food was pretty good as well, though it was really only finger food for the most case. They did have a pretty good range of spirits, and wine, as well as some nice beers on tap as well. This place did turned out to be pretty good actually.
