Joanne was a Dream Come True! I never in my life imagine that I could finally be here and be this close to the essence of Lady Gaga outside her concerts and music. The staff is amazing! Caleigh and the others were so sweet and understood how overwhelming being here is. I was crying, i was all over the place and they agreed to take photos of a little monster who flew all the way from the Philippines to be here. Okay let’s talk about food THE TIRAMISU was served in a martini glass! Ahhh and the Pizza was a fidging RECTANGLE! Love and love! Perfetto! I think i met gaga’s dad but i was crying through my fogging glasses that I did not recognised him. Apologies. I brought a copy of Vogue Philippines magazine with a letter to Lady Gaga thanking her that it was because of her that I was able to chase my dream to become a fashion designer and now I am in Vogue Philippines. I wish I could Vanish into this place, but till that time happens. I am counting the days. I will be back. Thank you for the lovely time.

A little over a week ago, I visited Joanne’s for the third time on a trip to NYC with my (now!) Fiancé. As a huge Lady Gaga fan, this restaurant is a staple for us. I’ll admit, the first time we visited a few years ago the food was not our favorite but we kept going back because it became a tradition. This time around, when our food hit the table it was COMPLETELY different than the last time we came and it was AMAZING! The presentation was more polished, the food was visually appealing, and it tasted COMPLETELY different and so so so so good. At the end of our meal, we ordered the cheesecake for dessert and little did I know that my fiancé was proposing to me! Apparently she had been planning this for months, and I was so in shock and surprised and filled with so much joy and love. The staff at Joanne’s really made this the best experience and night of my life. Our waitress, Shaila, was one of the best servers I have ever had and was incredibly sweet. She made the night so so special and I will remeber it for the rest of my life. She had been communicating with my fiancé for a while beforehand to plan everything and she gave us the best experience. The bartender, César, was also in on everything and was so sweet and accommodating and made us feel so welcome and so special. I can’t say enough about what this restaurant, the staff, and the entire vision of Joanne’s means to me. I recommend this place to any and everyone who may find themselves in the NYC area and I commend the business for being so professional and incredibly welcoming. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to everyone who made this night possible and has us both reminiscing on one of the best dining experiences of our lives :)

Great spaghetti w vodka sauce and shrimp! Paired with an edge of glory (great song btw) cocktail, it made for a great meal. I liked the gaga memorabilia spread out through the restaurant and her songs playing from time to time.

Joanne was a dream! I cannot believe i was able to celebrate my first bday dinner here. I am crying since I couldn’t believe it coming all the way from the Philippines! The staff were all kind and accommodating, they took photos of me and received my gifts intended to lady gaga cause I owe her my life.

Came here because I knew this was the restaurant that belonged to Lady Gaga’s parents. It’s a small and cute place with fun decor and super super friendly staff the food was great as well and the banana bread pudding dessert was to die for. Absolutely recommend.

The vibe is adorable. The restaurant clean and intimate. Food is outstanding. Came out hot, flavorful, and large portions. Our server was amazing and so helpful and friendly. We were a family of 5 staying at the Sohotel and took the subway here. Super easy and only a short walk from station to restaurant. We arrived an hour early and they were able to accommodate us. We highly recommend you not pass up Joannes’s. What we ordered: Burrata Salad, Chicken Parmesan, Asiago Stuffed Gnocchi with Vodka Sauce, Pappardelle with White Truffle Alfredo Sauce (my daughters dish but my favorite), and Seafood Pappardelle in a Garlic White Wine Sauce ( they were out of the Risotto). We felt extremely safe on subway and neighborhood.

Wow! I have a small business in the neighborhood and I always see the owner at the Blessed Sacrament so I suggested to my staff we should have our holiday get together here. I didn’t have high expectations but the food and service were phenomenal. We are life long NYers and we were all really impressed. Definitely coming back. Hope to see the owner at the Holy Innocents midtown one day at the Latin mass. ;-)

We booked a reservation for 5:00 PM on a Friday and arrived to find plenty of open tables. That said, if you’re planning a later dinner, a reservation is definitely recommended. The service was warm and welcoming from the start. Menus are presented on a tablet, which was a nice modern touch. We ordered the meat lasagna with a creamy vodka sauce—absolutely delicious with bold, standout flavors. The Asiago Gnocchi was also very tasty, and the Artichoke Lemon Chicken was well-prepared and flavorful. The dessert options all looked tempting, but we went with the cheesecake. It was creamy and rich, and the raspberry sauce added the perfect finishing touch. As a fun side note, we spotted Lady Gaga’s father dining there, though he declined a photo with my friend visiting from Japan.

TL:DR: Got pre-fixe: Chose the spaghetti and chicken parm. Go with the chicken parm! Also got the tiramisu- my friend liked it but I thought it was a bit runny. Loved how it's ran by lady Gaga's family Service: amazing Ambiance: cute intimate, on wed and Fri they have shows apparently!

It's a cute place! Small and cozy. Lots of fan decor and a bright neon Joanne sign. They have a outdoor area but was closed off. Apparently they have different events during the week, definitely recommend checking it out. I had the eggplant parm sandwich with fries and I wish I'd ordered a second one to go. They used the foccacia bread and the fries were crispy. It was just perfect for me and hit the spot My family and I shared the fried Calamari, flavor was there, just needed it to be more crispy and less oily. The chicken parm looked amazing, definitely huge portions which can be taken home for a second meal. Restaurant was accommodating with food allergies and everyone was very friendly!

Not a great experience. Positives - love the variety of entertainment. Open mic host has a great personality and vibe. Manager was kind and did her best to right the wrongs we experienced. Negatives - Food is terrible and over priced!!! Nonna did not lend them her recipes as they claim. There is inexperience in the kitchen and limited knowledge of proper Italian cuisine. Tempura brussel sprout batter and dip was tasty. The sprouts inside were over boiled mush. Eggplant meatballs tasted like mucus somehow. There were also many undercooked and chewy pieces of eggplant within. The meatballs came without sauce! Spaghetti with red sauce was sour and under seasoned. Not enough sauce to put on the meatballs. Gnocchi with vodka sauce special was made almost entirely of cheese. The salt and heft were almost too overpowering. Olive oil had no taste. Bread was cheap quality and cold. Bill was wrong twice. Very limited service. Appetizer came after the main and the waitress gave me attitude when I questioned where the app was. I'd go back for entertainment and a glass of wine only.

I came here on a Saturday evening after a party with the good friend to catch up with a good dinner and drinks. Pl. is packed and I like the high energy vibe. We were lucky that there was a cancellation and we were able to get a table in the back. as a vegetarian, I was pleasantly of the food and I had eggplant Parmesan with linguine, broccoli and the garlic Parmesan bread, which was delicious. We also shared the bread pudding. I don't know why this place gets low reviews. I actually think it was great and there was music in the back. I came years ago where we ate in the open, but this time we ate Inside because we wanted to hear the music is good with friends and large groups.

Had an awesome time stopping into Lady GAGA's restaurant on a Sunday! We came in at 1:45 with a reservation and it was empty so we had our pick of tables and ate on the patio with an overhang to keep everyone dry after the rain the night before. The menus were iPads which was fun but we had a little trouble looking at the menu options when they glitched. But service was prompt (including in bringing us fresh bread after we realized our bread for the table was stale) and considerate and all the food was absolutely delicious! I got the Lemon chicken and artichoke and it was mouth wateringly good! I didn't wanna stop eating also ordered a spring rosé mocktail and appreciated how many non-alcoholic drink options they had! Prices are a little steep compared to a typical Italian joint, but the quality of the food is excellent and the cost is par for the course in NYC. Would definitely go back for Drag Me to Joanne's, their drag event!!!!

My friend begged me to go to this one with her by saying, "Lady Gaga's restaurant is my new favorite restaurant and I want to go there." How could I say no? I can see why it's her favorite now. The layout is small, but the ambience is charming with its live music and colorful décor. My friend and I were both stunned by how flavorful our meals were, including the bread appetizer with olive oil. My gnocchi pasta with marinara sauce was amazing and perfectly filling. I don't think I've ever tasted such savory marinara sauce! And dessert? Equally incredible. My chocolate mousse cake even caught the eye of my 9-year-old friend at a neighboring table. He and his dad couldn't help but ask if it was as tasty as it looked and worth ordering. Of course I said yes! Joanne Trattoria is definitely one of my new favorites, and I know for sure I'll be coming back. My friend will be sure of that!

We went for lunch and enjoyed bruschetta and margherita pizza. We loved the atmosphere, it is a very traditional and quaint Italian restaurant with neat Lady Gaga memorabilia on the walls. Best bruschetta I've had!

Twenty five years in the city and this was probably the worst meal we have ever had in NYC. Service and drinks were FINE but, honestly, we would have been better off going to an Olive Garden.

Our niece recommended Joann Trattoria after a recent visit. We gave it a try on Drag Trivia Night to boot (Chase Runaway did a great job!). Sherry and I shared a fried prosciutto and mozzarella ball. They were really delicious served with their marinara. Sherry had homemade gnocchi with the same marinara and melted cheese. I had baked eggplant parm and pasta. Both dishes were quite tasty. The eggplant was thick and fried perfectly; and covered in sauce and mozzarella. Sherry's gnocchi was baked with sauce and cheese as well. The dishes were hot and generously sized. I had a Aprerol Spritz to start which was tasty. Only thing is, even for New York City, was a bit overpriced, to us. Yet give it a shot for yourself.

We stumbled upon this place without having a reservation and my group of 17 ppl were quickly accommodated at this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. Amir went above and beyond taking care of our huge group. The food portions were generous and delicious. This place is a gem and I will definitely be returning. Interesting fact, this place is owned by Lady Gaga's parents.

This place was quiet and no much of a vibe. The food was very 1990's Italian. My main dish was eggplant parm maybe in an old school American style. I prefer Italian food. It wasn't too exciting for food. It's very Tuesday night Italian, this was a friends choice who was from Boston, so I think for her it was great. As I was from San Francisco I prefer Italian food made in an Italian people. I guess I am spoiled going to Italy too much. Also the servers were kind of impolite to my friend.

The fact that I was charged $7.44 for a credit card processing fee bc Joanne's chooses to use a service that charges the customer extra fees to offset their operational expenses is duplicitous and unwarranted. CARBONE, a much better Italian restaurant doesn't! If Joanne's want the privilege of letting their customers charge their meals then they should PAY FOR IT themselves and not sneak in this charge. Additionally, and I will be calling my credit card company, after reviewing my receipt, they gave themselves a 30% tip, when I only authorized a 20% tip on the iPad. I do not enjoy being stolen from. I feel ripped off and violated. I am going to make sure this review is posted on EVERY review site I can. Just disgusting horrible behavior from the thieves at Joanne's!

Great spot. Always do a great job! We always enjoy ourselves whenever we come here for a good Italian meal.

It was high in price and low in quality among other things. The only good thing was the attentive and friendly server. The Italian bread brought to the table tasted nothing like authentic Italian bread. No crispy crust. It was completely soft like it came from a supermarket. If you wanted additional bread (which was unlikely) there was a charge. We were both raised in NYC. Neither of us ever had a bad pizza . . . until now. My friend ordered the pizza (for one) as an entrée and we were both shocked to see that the crust was basically white. It didn't look or taste like it was even cooked! It had a bit of sauce and mozzarella on top. My friend ended up leaving it after the first slice and I definitely did not want it. My entrée was shrimp scampi which was okay. We each had a side salad. I had Caesar Salad with anchovies and asked for a box to take home the remaining salad. When I got home and opened it, I saw the anchovies were missing! They couldn't have crawled out. I just wonder if they were used for someone else's salad. LOL We asked for our check and the server brought over the credit card machine. I saw the prices and punched the key for a 20% tip. I was asked if I wanted a receipt which I did. When I got home I looked at my receipt and there was a credit card fee. But wait . . . there's more. Somehow they managed to add on another tip for $1 AFTER the total.

First night in NYC and we chose to have dinner at Joanne's. It is a wonderful "neighborhood" type of restaurant. Quite cozy (i.e., you'll get to know your table mates) and casual atmosphere. The service as good, but the truly standout was the food. We started with Joanne's meatballs which were very tasty and large enough for two people to share. I ordered "Mom's Chicken" for my entree. It was very good and, while it was just the chicken, it caused me to eat the entire (and it was large) serving, without being overstuffed. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!

I really wanted to like this place more than the three stars I am giving it. The food was overall good, but not great. The Joanne's Meatballs - Germanotta Family Recipe, to start, were very good, but I wondered if they might have been slightly undercooked. The Fried Calamari, Deep-fried crunchy exterior and tender on the inside. Panko, Salt, Pepper, Slices of Hot Red Pappers - though good I thought it would have more kick to it. I did enjoy the Joanne's Grilled Salmon - Grilled to your temperature and served w/ Lemon and vegetables market, but I would rather have it on the chef's recommendation rather than the push to grill it to your temperature. Service was mixed. For a simple order of Captain Lawrence Orbital Tilt IPA I instead got the Clearwater Kölsch. The can was already opened, so I didn't turn it back as that was a good second choice. The thing is, the "I need to check on that," comment from the server was odd for me as when I went out from the dining area you pass the fridge with all the beverages in it. In other words, it really wasn't complicated and there was no one else involved. The table busser looked like they wanted to be anywhere but here. Which was kind of interesting. Beyond that, you do feel the vibe that you would think should be here - Gaga. That could be good or bad depending on your expectations. For me, I was glad to experience it as I had it bookmarked for so very long. I wish the food and service was better, however, to bring me back.

Came here with two fellow mother monsters around 5:30 on a Thursday for the $20 prix fixe deal, and we were seated in the garden, which had a lovely atmosphere and adorable decorations. We loved the Gaga paraphernalia featured throughout the restaurant. First of all, the deal is crazy good for NYC! It included a beverage, salad, entree, and you can add an appetizer and cannoli for an extra $10, which we all opted to do. I started with a glass of house white, which was light and tasty. We also had a bread basket, which was nothing special. I enjoyed my Caesar salad, and my friends and I split the meatballs and arancini appetizers. I definitely enjoyed the arancini more! They were crispy on the outside and gooey/cheesy on the inside, yum. I got the eggplant Parmesan for my main, and while the eggplant was very good and well fried, the accompanying spaghetti was very very average. While I think there's definitely an upper limit to how good spaghetti and marinara can get, this spaghetti was decidedly mid. It had a stranger aftertaste as well. Dessert picked up again with a delicious cannoli! Tbh, I wasn't expecting that much from Joanne food wise, given the other reviews and the price, but I left full and happy and glad I went. There is a lot of amazing Italian food in NYC. Joanne may not necessarily be amazing, but it's a steal for the price and has Lady Gaga's claim to fame. We had a lovely chat with our waitress as well about Lady Gaga visiting the restaurant and occasionally cooking for guests. When I think of a homey family restaurant, I think of a place like Joanne.

Came here for lunch pre matinee at Lincoln center. Excellent prix fix lunch for $20. Can't beat this anywhere for the excellent quality. Glass of wine Salad Entree. For $10 more you get an appetizer (choice of 2 things plus desert. I had the meatballs which were really good with a very light red sauce. Btw table bread was very good- esp to dip in the meatball sauce. My entree was meat lasagna. Small portion but sufficient. Had a vodka sauce. Good coffee Desert - cannoli (no choice) but it was incredible. Clean restrooms. Great service.

I always have a great time when I come here. We always get the classic spaghetti and meatballs. The service is slow at times but nothing crazy. We always get seated quickly, even if we don't have reservations. Love the vibe and the photos all over.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. When I heard that Lady Gaga's parents owned this restaurant, I was curious to try it. Located in the trendy Upper West Side, you see Lady Gaga merch at the front right when you walk into the place. The rest of the restaurant is decorated like a cool Italian place. I love Lady Gaga, but I like that they didn't make it all about Lady Gaga, they just gave it a tasteful hint of Gaga :) I came here for dinner with a friend and we each got a pasta main entree and shared a side of the broccoli rabe. This was totally our bad, but we had NO idea that broccoli rabe is naturally bitter. I expressed to our waitress that we didn't think that it tasted good and she graciously removed it from our bill, which I felt was very kind of them. The carbonara that I got was fine, al dente but small portion, but I think that's the authentic Italian style haha which is they Italians are generally skinnier than Americans Truthfully I wasn't blown away by the food here, however I only tried one dish so I would be inclined to come back to try other foods on the menu, especially since I know that the service will be great!

This restaurant is owned by Lady Ga Ga's parents and is very inviting and cozy.There is a bar to grab a cocktail. They offer a complimentary bread basket which was tasty. With speedy service and a smile I received my vegetable ravioli it was hot, a good size portion and the sauce was delicious. Save room for dessert as they have a lot to offer, but the night we came they had already run out of the napolean.I can't wait to come back and try a different entree.

Owned by Lady GA Ga's Family this place is amazing. Beautifully decorated with a cozy ambiance. There is a bar if you just want to grab a drink.With speedy service and a smile I got my complimentary bread basket and my vegetable lasagna. The sauce, cheese, carrots and mushrooms were very tasty, it was hot and was a huge portion. I would definitely come back to try something else .There is an amazing dessert selection, but unfortunately when we came they were out of the napoleon that night.

Great experience at Joanne from start to finish. Went on a Wednesday for Drag Me to Joanne's, took the whole family for an unforgettable holiday experience! Service and dinner were both exceptional!

I wanted so much to like this UWS spot. I visited Joanne a year ago before a show at Lincoln center. We just had a drink but it had a cool UWS NY vibe. But we went back today for dinner and we were so disappointed. We had aroncini, Brussels sprouts, garlic mashed, fettuccine carbonara, and artichoke chicken; plus a couple of cocktails. Carbonara was bland and too eggy and not enough cheese. The chicken dish was better but not great. The most flavorful dishes were the mashed potatoes, the Brussels, and the chicken, but if I'm being honest the food was less than mediocre. Spend your money elsewhere.

We reserved the back patio at Joanne recently for a spring time staff party for 30 people, and had a wonderful time. The service was impeccable and the team was so kind, attentive, and helpful. We walked in to a beautiful patio with the tables set for family style dinning, as well as thoughtfully setting up a table of champagne for us upon arrival. We had a wonderful spread of salads, appetizers, pastas, entrees, and desserts, as well as a full bar and coffee. It was also VERY affordable considering what we got! Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing, and joyful afternoon. I highly recommend Joanne for your next party or soiree!

excellent ambiance, service and food! the owner was so kind to all the customers. you'll find a variety of food choices and selection of drinks. as a huge fan of Lady Gaga... being that this is Lady Gaga's family owned restaurant is a huge plus and adds to the intimate experience. the meatballs are a staple dish here and were very enjoyable. Overall, would come again and will check out their brunch too which I heard is outstanding!

Lady Gaga's parents' restaurant. That is the only reason to come. That is the only reason why we came. And the little touches of Gaga are nice. But the food? Not worth it. Overpriced and off the mark. We ordered the pappardelle ribbon pasta and it was stiff, as if sitting for a while. My gut instinct told me to stay away from the lemon artichoke chicken, but my curiosity got the best of me. It sure was sour! If you like salt and vinegar chips, you might like this. The best dish at the table was a basic chicken Ceasar salad. Very straightforward and hard to mess up. Still, the chicken was so dry! And it's not like the place was busy. We came in at 11:30 on a Thursday and were easily the only table for an hour. The kitchen only had to tend to our dishes! 'A-Yo', Lady Gaga, this place is like a 'Bad Romance.' I hope the food wasn't 'Born This Way' and I don't want to 'Always Remember Us This Way.' I'm not 'Shallow' but this restaurant had a 'Million Reasons' to 'Rain on Me.' I'm still glad I experienced it because tomorrow is 'Just Another Day.'

We decided to try out this Restaurant based on a friends recommendation. The ambience inside the restaurant was nice and had a family like feel. Unfortunately, we were sat outside in the chillier part of the restaurant and I couldn't help but feel neglected. The other families were sat inside in the warmer part of the restaurant and there were tables available throughout our meal. Hmm. That aside, our dinner was fair. Our meatballs were somewhat dry and lacked flavor. The other dishes were tasty. Because of our location, our table was overlooked and my family and I stacked dishes so our table could get cleared. Will we be coming back, probably not. I will spend a few $100s elsewhere

I'm wondering if those who posted some of the more negative reviews here were at the same restaurant I was at. The barmaid, Bela, made one of the best Manhattans I've ever had. The ambience is awesome. The food was terrific and the staff were all great. Knowing that the place is owned by Lady Gaga's parents was icing on the cake. The entire experience was just plain great. Like I said, I've no idea where some of the other folks here are coming from, but my wife, her friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant.

I am so happy we returned to this restaurant. We haven't been back since their opening, but we figured they lasted this long, it should be good! And it was. We sat at a table near the bar. This allowed us to indulge in "happy hour" pricing for cocktails. Bella the bartender made wonderful old fashioneds. We had the rack of lamb and the eggplant parm. Both were excellent. The eggplant was obviously fresh (so much better than the from frozen version they served years ago). One of the employees said they changed chefs a couple of years after they opened- wish we had known. Another plus, they served bread, butter and olive oil when we sat down.

Oh lord. Food was so bad. My sister got the salmon and the vegetables were frozen from a bag. Staff was super nice and lovely. Phoning it in on the cuisine though and relying on the Lady Gaga of it all.

You think this place is expensive now, wait until Joe's buddy/abusive boyfriend is elected. The food isn't worth it. Service is fine, but they are kind of snarky. Ambiance is kind of BYOA. Save your money and cook at home or go to Olive Garden.

I revisited Joanne because they now have a happy hour, and I was pretty excited about it. As we arrived at the restaurant, I was a bit disappointed because I realized their sangria wasn't apart of happy hour . I was really looking forward to the sangria after my last visit. But they had wine, and I had that. It wasn't any thing special. I looked for the lobster macaroni and cheese, another hit for me, and I didn't see it. Was hoping to try that again too. Instead I got the Parmesan fries, which I had before, but didn't love. Same experience this time. I reordered them because I wanted a small bite, not a whole meal, and I didn't know what else's to get The real real reason for the 3 stars is the temperature. They have a heating truck that goes inside the restaurant , so you would think the restaurant would be sufficiently warm. It was freezing for more than half of our time there. Luckily the alcohol helped and our waitress was dope. Yasmin ( I hope I'm getting her name right) was very accommodating and I appreciated her trying to improve our experience. But the temperature was definitely a topic of discussion between parties at the restaurant

Absolutely DELICIOUS! The spaghetti and meat balls-ahhmazing, Chic parm, so good and the lamb so tasty! No Gaga there today, but sweet little quaint place. I will definitely return. Oh yeah, love the limoncello martini's

Ordered broccoli rabe and sausage dish with pasta. Broccoli rabe was yellow and mushy, the sausage portion was small. A friend ordered the French toast for brunch. The toast was burnt. I expected better quality for the prices charged very unfortunate.

Update: 3 years ago, I left a 2 star review for Joanne's after very cold service and mediocre food. I came back to try it again, this time with my in-laws who are from Queens. What an improved experience!! The menu has been changed up, and it seems so have the staff. It feels as though they leaned into the Gaga a little more. The restaurant was more lively and bright, there was live music, and the food! Wow! It was so good, and the service was very prompt AND friendly. We had the meatball appetizer to start, and then I had the chicken marsala, my husband had the chicken parm, and his parents had the spaghetti and meatballs and the aglio e olio (they're suckers for classics). Everything was so delicious, we were all sharing bites with each other. My MIL especially was so impressed with all the food, which I was thankful for. We had a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, and left very happy with the experience. I hope our first time was a fluke, and we can make this one of our must-visit spots when we're in the city.

We had a reservation for 7 and we're given the private dining room. The ambiance is quintessential New York City, giving the feeling of a stumbling into a hole in the wall Italian spot. Large menu with lots of options for pasta.

One star less for an issue with the server's iPad , took her thrice before finally checking us out and the unavailability of our chose desser tiramisu. Really ? On a Saturday ? Aside from that, loved the homey feeling of the place. Lady Gaga brought fame to her parents restaurant but let's straight it out, the food served to was fantastic. Kudos to the chef . We tried their crusted cod and the ravioli , savoring taste. The staff is nice and very friendly. If looking for an Italian restaurant around the area, this is a good pick. Make sure to make a reservation though.

We had a private party at Joanne's snd it went off without a hitch! The staff was well organized and communicative prior to the event. The event hosted 50 people and there were plenty of food and options! The staff was welcoming and friendly, they were attentive throughout the entire event. We can't wait to host another event at Joanne's!

Pretty standard, local italian resturant. Got meatballs, a salad, and a pasta and they were good. Nothing too crazy.. I would say very standard and classic.

You cannot go wrong coming here. This place is always hands-down some of the best food I've ever had in my entire life. Bring your first date here bring your family here bring special occasions. It's amazing..

We arrived Friday evening on December 8. We were sat right away. The food was excellent and we met the owner Joe as he came around and visited tables. A very nice man I highly recommend this restaurant. My daughter and I shared the veal osobucco. it was delicious and the veal was tender. One of my granddaughters got their pasta with marinara sauce again delicious.

I was so excited for this place. And it's underground, great atmosphere, and amazing vocals for a young lady and guy playing guitar. It also had Lady GaGa pictures etc... the waitress was great and the wine was great. Th food was awful. I saw the salmon online and it looked so good. It was under cooked and they laid it on a bed of what appeared to seriously be veg all. It was a $40 meal for a $2.00 presentation. I seriously could have made better at home.

Came here for a quick "Linner" while spending a few hours in New York. The restaurant was quaint and cozy with personal Lady Gaga touches everywhere. Nice bar to relax and watch the game. We had the bruschetta and Italian salads and everything was delicious! I died over the Bruschetta it was fabulous! Service was great and I loved the ambiance overall.

Cozy, charming bistro tucked away on a quiet side street. Quick, polite service. Food was - frankly - not that great. It would have been forgettable, nothing more than a poor choice, except that five hours after ordering the vegetable lasagna, I was violently throwing up in my hotel bathroom, followed by another episode two hours later. As I write this, it's 4:30 a.m. and I'm lying on some towels on the bathroom floor next to the toilet, as I feel round three churning about in my stomach. I can't prove that it was my dinner, but I don't know what else it could be. Sorry.

Before I mention the poor aspects of my experience, it is only fair to state that my visit was during the Christmas BUSY period. And, I was part of a large group with arrangements to be served family style. While the servers were pleasant and TRYING hard, they were obviously untrained. Rather than bringing the dishes out in an organized fashion (table by table) they dropped trays wherever they happened to be standing, As a result, one table would have all of the offerings, while another would only have one dish. The kitchen was sending out the food in no particular order so the vegetables came at the same time as dessert. The servers were disorganized, the kitchen was shipping out food in no order, the food was cold (and mostly tasteless). There are many restaurant choices in Manhattan. This is one to skip!
