The Best New Bars Around D.C. Right Now | Eater DC

"The Fairfax at Embassy Row just rebranded into Inspīr Embassy Row. Dubbed a “high-end D.C. senior living community in one of the area’s most storied addresses,” the Dupont property reopened in mid-February with Jockey Club — a retro-glam destination for sizzling steaks and whiskey sours. The lobby-level bar of the same name once served power lunches to Nancy Reagan, tea to Margaret Thatcher, and evening cocktails to Warren Beatty and Jack Nicholson. Now it’s back under the watch of its original chef." - Emily Venezky

Our vacation at the Jockey Club Resort was fantastic! The front desk staff/check-in was professionalism, courtesy, and friendly. Our suite on the 5th floor faced the Fountains of Bellagio with other nice sites to view. The suite was clean, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable with amenities and all the essentials for preparing meals. The decor throughout was beautifully charming. The location was close to the Las Vegas Strip and within walking distance to an indoor mall, CVS, attractions, restaurants, casinos, and shopping. We did venture away from the area to spend time with family and friends. The pool and Jacuzzi were nice (didn't use Bellagio's pool). A major bonus was the complimentary parking and no resort fee; the reason we choose to vacation at this resort. The team at the Jockey Club went above and beyond throughout our stay. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, responsive, and eager to help with any questions or service requests. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation experience. I recommend the Jockey Club Resort to anyone visiting Las Vegas.

Nestled between the colossal Cosmopolitan towers, the Jockey Club is a local jem that is cool, quiet, comfortable, and filled with relaxing treasures. The rooms are comfortable, stylish, and meticulously maintained. Our kitchenette was perfect for when we wanted to make our own meals and dine in. The pool area is spacious, relaxing and has BBQ grills for guests to use, a sauna, spa, and workout area. Our room view of the Fountains of Bellagio was, unfortunately, obscured by a parking structure. A short 2-3 minute stroll put us right in front of the show. The location of the Jockey Club puts you near the middle of the strip, adjacent to the Bellagio Hotel & Casino and across from Planet Hollywood and the Eiffel Tower. If you have an opportunity to walk around inside the Bellagio lobby, go and allow your eyes to feast on the special sights while soaking in the ambiance of the Botanical Garden. During our stay at the Jockey Club, there was a note in our room apologizing for necessary demolition and construction being done in the Derby tower. That showed us they're regularly working to maintain the property and keep it fresh. From the front desk (Donna is a treasure) to the Concierge desk (Thank you, Kelly! The events you helped us book were truly amazing, highly entertaining, and left us completely satisfied!), to the housekeeping staff, property/grounds crew, and maintenance staff, everyone we encountered was friendly, cheerful, and greeted us with smiles, genuinely eager to serve. Thank you, Jockey Club! You're doing an outstanding job. We're pleased to say that we look forward to returning for our next visit to the property later this year 'as friends and no longer guests'.

Stayed here in May using timeshare and had a great time. Self parking was free which is amazing for being right on the strip! You were also able to request a pass to access the Cosmopolitan pool at the front desk (good for the day you request it). The rooms were nice, in a 1 bedroom unit with full kitchen there no issues with cleanliness or anything and had everything you needed; full size fridge with ice, stove and oven, pots and pans, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. Also had a great view of the strip and the fountain. No hidden resort fees or anything like that. Nice pool, hot tub and fitness center. I will definitely be staying here again when I come to Las Vegas!

Went to their time share presentation. Guy was an impressive speaker but way too expensive compared to other presentations and limited resorts. They sold a partner named RCI but every "timeshare" company has partnered with them. Gifts for attending was nothing special. But the free meal.at a local Brazian restaurant was 1st class. ||$50 gift card and some 2 night and 3 day trip. Very limited locations to redeem that. Probably will never redeem that. Plus, back side says I need to sit in another presentation. ||No real pressure. I just told him no and he respected that. ||

Location was perfect. Comfortable beds. Room was quiet even though it was tucked between two hotels. Some of the furniture was a bit old and tired but clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. I would recommend this place.

Staying at Jockey Club Suites was amazing! The view from my room overlooking the Bellagio fountains was absolutely priceless – truly unforgettable. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the Strip, so everything is within walking distance. The suite was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Las Vegas!

Google
I am often in Las Vegas, but this time I needed a room with two bedrooms to stay for one night, for a trip to the Grand Canyon with my parents who are visiting me and flew in from another country. I started searching and accidentally came across the Jockey Club and did not believe that such a thing was possible. 3 minutes walk from the Bellagio fountain, right on the main street and only $ 135 a night, what ??? I was sure that this was a joke or a mistake, but I booked it. This hotel is located in a secluded alley, between the "giants", so it remains very quiet and cozy. The room has more than you need, a full kitchen, a living room, 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Yes, perhaps the furniture and cosmetic repairs will require updating soon, but do not forget, this is not an ultra 5 star hotel, where a similar room will cost $ 1000. So for your money, everything is very acceptable. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The check-in was very quick and easy. Kayla was very kind and explained some of the details. And another very nice little thing, free parking, even MGM grand doesn't have that 😄. Guys, thank you for what you do, you're great! 🔥

I've been visiting Las Vegas since 1971, and this was one of the more interesting places I've stayed in all that time. Who knew? My daughter wanted to take us to Vegas and booked the Jockey Club becaue of (1) the location, (2) the price, and (3) free parking included. All good reasons. This hotel is basically part of the Cosmopolitan, because they are attached. There is direct access to the Cosmo's casino from the Jockey Club's main elevator. The free parking is in Cosmo's parking structure. They have their own blocked off parking section complete with a dedicated elevator to the Jockey Club. It's very convenient. The room we had (982) was a time capsule to the 1970's. The furniture was comfortable but tired and worn. The bed and linens however, were excellent. Two modern, large TV's with lots of stations. The bathroom was of '70's layout, meaning not a lot of counter space, but still functional. The shower was very good, and there was plenty of hot water. The staff we interacted with were all good. Friendly and professional. We agreed that we wouldstay here again.

Yelp
Friendly staff and an excellent location! The room had everything we needed and was very clean. The kitchen allowed for simple cooking, and the separation between the room and living area made it ideal for a family of four. The only drawbacks were the lack of bottled water and the pool. The pool was small and too deep, making it unsafe for children to play. Although staying at this hotel allows access to the Cosmopolitan pool, there are restrictions, and we did not have the opportunity to use it. Aside from these issues, everything was perfect, and if given the chance, I would definitely consider booking this hotel again.

Yelp
So great location and free parking. Some say the pictures look outdated, but I found my room to be spacious and clean. A bit trucking getting from the attached casino to the club but once you figure it out it's not to bad. Would stay here again it was nice.

Yelp
Not much has changed since the last time we had a room here (this time, we had a one queen-sized bed and pull-out sofa bed for the four of us), except this time we stayed a couple of nights vice an overnighter. We had the time to enjoy some amenities such as the pool, hot tub and gym. While the gym was okay (some of the equipment was out of commission, and no free weights), the hot tub was enjoyable, and the pool had a deep part (8 ft) that was a nice touch, considering most hotel pools I've encountered do not go pass 4 or 5 ft deep. The lamps near the bed could use some more outlets. Some of us have more (medical) things to plug in besides chargers and/or phones. Also, the towel rack fell off the wall, and judging from the paint chips around the base it wasn't the first time. The shared parking with nearby hotels? I should've read my earlier review and saved getting lost trying to find the entrance! Located right on the strip, close to main highways, but out of the way enough to enjoy some quiet; worth it in our book.

Yelp
We are so happy that we're leaving this place today and never have to look at it again. I'm an update all the pictures straight out of the 1980s complete crap pit. Also I'm putting a picture You have to put all your bathtub linens into a laundry basket for them You have to clean up for them you have to leave it tidy oh my God are you serious. Also forget about a cart for all your luggage and stuff. All they're going to tell you is we don't have one available. This is the only condo resort that doesn't have a luggage cart and a whole bunch of other things. Do yourself a favor and just stay at The Grandview, The Cliffs The Berkeley

Yelp
Jockey Club - July 2023 Great location on the strip. Nestled between The Cosmopolitan and Bellagio Rooms are well maintained and fairly updated for an older resort. Pool area has lots of shade. A limited number of guests are blue to us the Cosmopolitan pool. Inquire at check-in. Noisy in the morning if on the Bellagio side. Trucks below entering underground area of The Cosmopolitan. As security gate goes up and down it beeps constantly. One luggage cart available to use for entire property. There appears to also be a single bellman who also has a luggage cart. This is not enough for check-in/out day

Yelp
This review is based on Unit 850. To start, this room is not part of the hotel. It is in Airbnb in a separate tower that is not overseen by the hotel. We were not allowed to check in at the hotel desk, but rather we were sent to a security guard who processed our check-in where waited nearly 40 minutes for a bellhop to show us to our room. We were told we could not call the hotel for amenities, but rather the customer service number in our room associated with our booking. Once up, we were disappointed: we paid for a view of the Bellagio fountain but got the parking lot with a sliver of the fountain. Moreover, after a four-hour drive from L.A., we arrived at a filthy room (see pics) with disgustingly dirty floors and a sink that clogged in the bathroom. We called customer service; they asked for pictures. I told them the entire condo needed cleaning and we had to head to a dinner reservation. After some back and forth, they agreed to clean the room the following morning. Because the room was so dirty (we found crumbs and black dirt when we pulled out the sleeper sofa), we slept in our clothes. The next day we headed off for the day, hoping that the room would be clean (as promised) when we returned. Right before leaving, an announcement came on the P.A. informing us that water would be shut off in the building for 3 hours. Ugh. We returned to the room (around 5:00 p.m.) to our disappointment the room was not cleaned; it was just as filthy as when we arrived. We called customer service and they denied saying they would send someone to clean the condo. To add insult to injury, my friend's 16-year-old son found a cocaine tray in the kitchen. We reported it to security, but nothing was done. Because of the cocaine, the absolute dirtiness of the place--it was long-term, built up filth--and simply out of sheer frustration with a lack of response from the "hotel," (we decided we decided to return to L.A. rather than stay another night. It was that bad.

Yelp
We've been staying here for years now. We have never had an issue with bed bugs. The staff is alwaysssss nice and helpful. The housekeeping staff is very sweet. I love that its right in the middle of the strip you can literally walk everywhere. You're able to use the Chelsey pool at the Cosmo, and also take an elevator to their Casino level which is perfect. They have their own parking section in the Cosmo parking lot. The rooms are almost like an apartment setting, so if you go buy groceries you have a pace to store everything. The building has member-only access which is safe. Security is also very alert and vigilant. The pool is really cold but i mean for summer it's great. We enjoy staying there.

Yelp
It is said that when Gambling... The House Always wins. But what If... The reason you're loosing is not because you have bad luck or that the house is rigged, but maybe, just maybe you are betting on the wrong horse. Well... Imagine I'm as genius as the rain man, as handsome as Danny Ocean (George Clooney), and have the strapping body of Alan (Zach Galifianakis) er.. I mean Phil (Bradley Cooper) from the hangover... Now let my Brilliant, handsome ass share the secret to winning Vegas without loosing all of your chips on a room that you are only going to sleep in anyways. Welcome to the Jockey Club!! Heard of it? Nah... I didn't think so. What if I told you that this hidden gem is located right on the strip, and is just slightly tucked behind the Beautiful Cosmopolitan Resort. What if I said that you are actually closer to the Bellagio water fountain show staying at The Jockey Club, than you'd be if you stayed at the actual Bellagio itself. And what if I let you in on a little secret that you can stay at the Jockey club and not only use their private pool and spa on the property, but you are able to use the amazing Cosmopolitan resort pool and amenities all because you are a guest of the Jockey Club. Ok here me out... I've stayed in Vegas countless times and I've stayed all over the strip from the best to the... I will NEVER stay there again! (Cough cough, the Rio) Yes, for your 21st birthday, attending a bachelor/bachelorette party, celebrating your Anniversary, or staying in the high roller suite all because your friend wants to show off and tells everyone he's a Doctor when he's really just a Dentist (The Hangover), I say splurge and go all out. But for those of you who've done Vegas and know that as long as you have a clean bed to crash on after a long night of partying, why spend all that money on a room, when you will only just sleep there a few hours a night anyway. It's all about Location!!! The Jockey Club is positioned right behind the Cosmopolitan resort which happens to be the front and center stage of the Las Vegas Strip. Being in the middle gives you a greater advantage to seeing more of Sin City than you would if you were to stay on the ends (I.e. Mandalay Bay or Sahara/The Strat) Did someone say food?? Yes, we all know that the Food in Vegas is Everything! From celebrity Chef restaurants, to the over the top buffets to the culinary fusions created to appease the tourists, Vegas knows how to make a Foodie feel good. Being center to the strip, staying at the Jockey club will once again give you the advantage of being right in the middle and allow you to not miss any of the food action. You will be oh so close to places like... Secret Pizza. (Shhhh it's a secret) Eataly. (Take me to Italy and lock the door) Eggslut. (What did you call me!!??) Hattie B's Hot Chicken. (After a long night of booze) China Poblano (Chinese/Mexican Cuisine!!!) Get it! Yes, these are all either within Cosmo or a short walk away. (Eataly located at MGM Park). Convenience with a Capitol "C" Staying at the Jockey Club is easy... Getting access to the Cosmopolitan gambling floor, Glamorous Pool, & high-end eateries is even EASIER! There is a shared Elevator (Jockey Club/Cosmopolitan) that will allow you easy access from where you stay to where you will DEFINITELY want to play.... All for a fraction of the price of actually staying at the actual Cosmo. Living like you own the place The Jockey Club rooms are like a hotel, but better. They all come with a full size kitchen, which includes a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker; basically everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink. That's right folks! Don't feel like going out to eat?? Bring your own groceries and make yourself comfy. Load up that cooler, bring that rack of lamb from home and dust of that 2014 Chianti you've been saving; you can literally make your own 5 star meal all from the privacy of your room. So the next time Vegas is on the mind and you are feeling your luck is on a high, I say bet on a new horse.. The Jockey Club and see what it feels like to 'Break Maiden' versus 'breaking the bank.'

Yelp
The Jockey Club, Monarch Grand Vacation Cancun Resort, Grandview, and Westgate Flamingo Bay Club: Las Vegas Decisions "The Strip" and "downtown" are compact, and even the most superficial-minded visitor cannot help but accrue the necessary information to pursue his/her passion. Everyone who has visited Las Vegas seems to have favorite casinos, restaurants, buffets, theme hotels, and their own unique finds. Besides the Las Vegas visitor's centers have provided both print and digital information: Las Vegas is so small that it is very easy to "learn" about the aspects of Las Vegas that one has an interest in. For the novice visitor, any good guidebook is recommended. The first-time visitor with or without family will really need to spend a little time navigating the web sites and reading a guidebook. The veteran who requires a specific strip hotel, or who is provided a complimentary room has already made these decisions. I have an annual spring conference in Las Vegas that requires the presentation of a paper, and my accommodations are always a Las Vegas timeshare. Interval International offers 16 properties. Several of these properties are premier and select resorts. During the past decade we have opted for the new Marriott Vacation Villas. However, Las Vegas has numerous time-shares. And Interval International may not be the best trading company to use for Las Vegas. A Las Vegas exchange may better occur through the advice of TimeSharing Today or RedWeek.com. Our ten-year experience with trades into Las Vegas has resulted in four nice properties: The Jockey Club, Monarch Grand Vacation-Cancun Resort, Grandview, and Westgate Flamingo Bay. There are several other properties that deserve a visit, and perhaps, in the future, we will experience some of these properties. My wife and I do not drink, smoke, gamble, and are not interested in the "sex-shows." But we still find Las Vegas to be an "adult Disneyland." The monorail, trolley, buses, and cabs provide inexpensive transportation; however, I always am more comfortable with a rental car in Las Vegas. I have selected four time-shares to discuss in this article. The Jockey Club or 3700 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89109, 702-798-3500 800-634-6649) is obviously defined as a select resort due to a prime strip location. This time-share seems to be in the very center of the strip. The Jockey Club has studio and one- and two-bedroom units although the tourist should count on a one-bedroom unit. The Jockey Club is immediately south of the Bellagio, and an easy walk to the gardens, art, and restaurants of the Bellagio. For several years, my wife and I enjoyed one of the nicest views in Las Vegas of the famous "dancing fountains. The units are utilitarian and provide no aesthetics of their own; ever room seems to be minimal in size and utility. Please take note of the Spartan furniture that is provided on the website. The workout room is miniscule, and often the machinery is in non-working order; the pool is less than a pleasurable experience. The website clearly states the following: "Major construction and renovation are ongoing in and around the resort." This means that there is virtually no parking, and a seemingly endless day of loud construction noise. Any exchange counselor from any company will be certain to guarantee a trade to this property but do ask if construction has been completed. Once the noise has ceased, and parking is restored, the tourist may consider the Jockey Club again. Check in is speedy, and the small on-site grocery store is sometimes necessary in an emergency. The Monarch Grand Vacation-Cancun Resort at 8335 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89123, 702-614-6200) offers suite, and one- and two-bedroom units. The one-bedroom units provide two bathrooms, and this is a useful feature. This time-share is a premier resort, and the website photos confirm the premier status. However, contrast the 8335 Las Vegas Boulevard South address with the 3700 Las Vegas Boulevard South of the Jockey Club, and the tourist will realize that an automobile is essential in staying at this resort. The following statement is from the website: The Cancún Resort is located just three miles south of the heart of Las Vegas. Guests will enjoy penthouse, and one- and two-bedroom villas with private balconies, all decorated in contemporary Mayan design. The resort boasts a six-acre center court featuring a Mayan ruin waterfall, swimming pool, waterslides, whirlpool spas, lounge, and poolside restaurant with room delivery. On-site amenities include a fitness center, concierge, game room, ATM, day spa, Internet kiosk, wireless in-room Internet, and gift shop/convenience store.

Yelp
The location is one of the best in Las Vegas! We had a two bedroom, two bath Condo, with a great view of Bellagio, Paris, etc! We could walk to the lobby of the Cosmopolitan Casino without ever leaving the Building! The amenities are amazing! For the price, it is by far the best deal in Vegas!

Yelp
I came to know about this because we had a festival and all the hotels are fully booked and priced sky-rocketed while Jockey Club still had room available with fairly good price!! Booking experience: straightforward. I booked it last minute through 3rd party. Checked it 4 times with the receptionist and reservation team, and they confirmed my reservation. Check-in: TERRIBLE, awful, slow, and pretty frustrating. They lost 2 stars in this review because of that. They said checkin starts at 4pm, we came in at 6, which basically 2 hours past the check in time. We got 2 check-in issues: 1) they couldn't find my name in their reservation list. They had to ask around before finally confirmed that my reservation is legit (mind you I had called 4 times to confirm since I first booked it). 2) they said the room was not ready yet. So our initial plan was to check in at Jockey before driving to Utah (we changed our plan the day before our flight). But boy we waited 2.5 long hours and they still haven't had our room ready, which is really frustrating. Finally at 9pm we decided to leave the hotel and told the receptionist that we're going to grab our key the next day. Next day check-in: they AGAIN said she couldn't find my name. Like Wtf!! But this time the other lady (who was handling my reservation the day before) still remember me and told me that the room's ready. Thank goodness! Room: while there's rumors and reviews saying there's bed bugs, I'd say the bed was pretty comfy and clean. It's old, but no bugs present. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. Yes, the check-in was really frustrating, but that doesn't change the fact that they have nice room with great views and not to mention great location.

Yelp
Did Not Purchase - I have a very strict rule to never purchase anything over $500.00 without looking at reviews. My Experience: Similar to other stories - Went for the $200.00 free money for gambling (disappointed when handed a piece of paper and put into very old slot machines. I'm not positive, however the chances of winning any cash from this was very low.) , Wax Museum tickets, and a show. Starts with everyone in a room looking at a fantastic photos in a PowerPoint slide. Sale team trying to get everyone excited on how great it is to join their membership. After the PowerPoint everyone is herded out to a room where a person with a blank sheet of paper, and ink pen starts to write down the cost and how much you can save by joining them. We (wife and I) had two people at our table. Once you tell them "no" a couple of time, they bring in their "closer". The person who will try to put a lot of pressure on you and even attempt to tell you how smart they are, and you're not smart if you don't take their deal. Through-out their speech's and what felt like pressure sale tactics, I kept hearing the cow bell going off every time a new timeshare was purchased. So glad there are reviews and people use them. The information is so helpful when making decisions like this.

Yelp
My stay at Jockey Club Las Vegas was 10/09/2022 to 10/12/2022 My husband received a free stay here via the Sapphire Resorts vacation club program that has the presentation with the high sales pressure (you can see my review about them on there page) After driving for 6 to 7 hrs we were so happy to finally make it in to Vegas and start our mini vacation. After doing the some research I knew that we were not going to anything that is on the level to where we have stayed at before so my expectations were not set very high So the room that we stayed in is marked to be a 1 bedroom condo. Umm if you call putting a wall between the sleeping area and the living room to be a true 1 bedroom I guess you can call it a 1 bedroom room but I have honestly stayed in hotel room that were larger than this but hay it had a kitchen so we has a whole new element to enjoy to where we didn't have to go out for every meal we can kick back relax and cook (and I love to cook). Some of the furniture clearly needed to be replaced it was well loved. The building is nestled between the towering aria, cosmopolitan and beliago hotel casinos. Which is fine every inch in Vegas is being used by something so being sandwiched between many buildings is no problem what sparked a touch of claustrophobia was the ultra low ceilings and lack of natural light in the room. I guess the other hotel casinos that I have stayed give the illusion of space with higher ceilings and plenty of natural light. After doing the Vegas thing and walking the strip and getting a few drinks in we came back to our room to relax after a long day of travel. The bed was clearly well loved too. It was so wobbly and bouncy I felt like my husband was going to bounce me off the other the bed when he sat down on his side lol. But being drunk and sleepy I guess we can definitely look past it. About 1 or 2am in a drunk sleep we were awaken by the security knocking at the door wanting to inspect the room for water from a flood that happened in a room above us. He checked the room and found no water. The water didn't make its way down to our room until later that morning when we discovered it in the morning while we were preparing to go to the "presentation" that we had to attend to receive our comped room. This where I say the staff have no communication. I let the guest services person know that we were trying to rush get ready to attend our presentation and if we need to move we will be back in about 2 hrs to pack up and be ready to move rooms. No more than 30 minutes later guest services say we need to be prepared to move right now. I re-explained what my Delma was and there was no type of understanding or openness to scheduling this so we are not left running behind to the program that is promoting this hotel. After all that the engineer staff they can wait for us to return since they we're working in the other rooms first that were more damaged by the water We came back as quickly as we could to pack up so we could be moved we went from the 3rd floor to the 11th which was nice but we were still looking at the wall of the cosmopolitan lol. But in my rush to pack I left behind my PJ's #fml. When i noticed this I tried to contact housing keeping multiple times and different times of the day up until I left even a last attempt when we were checking out with no luck #rolleyes So back to this kitchen. It was cute full kitchen with cooking utensils plates bowls everything to make a full meal which was lovely! I would really love to find another hotel in Vegas with this amenity. But come to find out the hard was the oven didn't work #rolleyes. Like seriously I had the oven set to 350 and I could touch the wire racks without burning myself. I made work for what I needed and didn't report it since I really did not want to have to move again. Over all the hotel was cute and definitely not one of its larger competitors but it worked. It wouldn't be my first choice in hotels to stay in but I would comeback if this was my only option. I think with a bit more thought in to renovations and training staff I think this could be a really nice place to stay.

Yelp
Did 3 days 2 nights here , nothing fancy, decent, just like the pictures ( not the ones with velvet ) old kitchen, but clean . My only thing was while there house keeping was disappointing, paper , old soap wrappers, bed unmade , tissue square left on bathroom floor ( us rushing out to our events ) the only reason I knew housekeeping came in was , one new soap square and the 10$ tip and thank you note I left was gone from the bed room .

Yelp
For what it is, it's great! Literally connected to the Cosmo via an elevator close to the lobby. I recommend!

Yelp
LOCATION IS AMAZING! Stayed here with our family this weekend, absolutely perfect! So well kept. Everything you would need in a kitchen is there. Beds were comfortable, even the pull out sofa bed. Plenty of room for a family of four. We will definitely only be staying here when we come back to Vegas

Yelp
We've been coming here for 20 years, apparently I've been reserving through a third party. Sooo run down, carpet is gross and dirty. Furniture is old. Sorry but it's the truth, maybe book through Jockey Club directly.

we stayed here for the first time this weekend and i'm very surprised that this place doesn't have better reviews 5* location/parking: connected directly to the cosmo by garage and elevator; also, parking is free/included with your stay 5* price: on a $/sqft basis i don't think anything quite compares to this on the strip. the two bed two bath we stayed in had a kitchen and living room area, at the same price of a big brand strip hotel studio (effectively half the price per bed), and no resort fees there's no coffee or restaurant downstairs so you're a good 5 to 10 minute walk from your room to anything other than a mini-mart they have near registration -- but for those 10 mins you're on the second floor of the cosmo with eggslut for breakfast or around cosmo's valet for almond croissants + coffee at va bene, both more than serviceable ways to start your day depending on your mood for families and people that are driving in and out to other hotels anyway, this is a very strong option and one of the few remaining value stays on the strip. if you're looking for that luxurious vegas feel, you should definitely go elsewhere; but if you've been here a million times or if a room is a room is a room, you should definitely give it a shot thank you for the stay!

Yelp
Stayed here for EDC weekend and front desk was very sweet and helpful. Suites here have kitchens so if you're here for a stay with tight schedule like we were this helps a lot!

Yelp
This property did not sell when they built the City Center and it's like the house in the movie "Up". The Cosmopolitan is completely built around it, and it's literally in the middle of it. We had the one bedroom that I got on Expedia for 200 bucks a night with taxes included for Halloween weekend. We did not feel pressured to do a timeshare tour but only invited. There is NO resort fee, free internet and free parking. Yay! You can also Valet your car for 5 bucks a day with "in and out" privileges. We loved the Valet and thought it was a bargain, we tipped our valet when retrieving our car 5 bucks each time. The Valets were very nice and provided us with great service. Check in is at 4:00 p.m and we arrived on Friday about 1:00 p.m., we were surprised the room was ready. All of the front staff were very helpful and kind our entire stay. If your room is not ready, leave your luggage with the bell person and take an elevator up one floor to the Cosmopolitan and start your weekend. When you arrive, pull in front of the Jockey Club for check in and they will give you a key to park in the Cosmos parking structure for free or you can Valet. There is a small driveway/alley between the Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan with a sign for Jockey Club, it could be easy to miss. The room was very large with a living room, kitchen with full fridge, stove, microwave, plates, glasses, utensils, pots/pans and a coffee maker with coffee. The room was clean, and very quiet. You don't hear anybody in the hallways or through the walls or above you. The room was a little outdated but it was clean. Since you are imbedded in the Cosmopolitan, we had no view and no sunlight in our room. Our window literally looked at the wall of the Cosmopolitan and all sunlight was blocked. I can see this would have been a problem if we had spent a lot of time in the room, but we did not. If you book directly through them, you could probably pay more and get a room that faces the Bellagio with some kind of a view or sun light. You need to specify upon booking if you need sunlight or a view room. I am guessing that the room we had is what they offer for guests and not their time share owners. There is a side that faces the Bellagio and it's not boxed in with the Cosmo walls. Pros: In the middle of everything on the Strip Friendly staff Free parking Cheap Valet parking No resort fees Free internet Coffee maker in room Clean room Housekeeping daily Comfortable bed and pillows (and I am picky) You can use the pool at the Cosmopolitan for free, put your name on the list at the front desk when you check in. It's literally connected to the Cosmopolitan and you don't have to pay a ton of money for the room like you would have to if you stayed there. Cons: Our room was dark with no natural sunlight. However, it makes a great place to sleep and nap but not hang out in. It's Vegas, that is all we needed it for. No view, we looked at the wall of the Cosmopolitan since you are literally boxed in by it. Outdated decor and appliances. This is not a baller suite but it's clean and had everything we needed. For the value and location, we will definitely stay here again. I think it's one of the best bargains in town. The location is everything. Loved the valet and not having to bother with the parking garage and walking for miles to your room, etc. Hope this helps you choose the right hotel and have a blast. P.S. U2 at the Sphere was Epic! Don't miss Lost Spirits Distillery and skip Ka, it's awful.

Yelp
The Jockey club is a no frills hotel with single and double roomed 'apartments', equipped with little kitchenettes, small dining table and living room. Decor is kind of 80s BUT for a reasonable price you're getting a really great location right on the strip next to the Cosmopolitan AND a pretty quiet experience where the clientele are civilized and keep to themselves. Parking is in the Cosmopolitan's structure - head down to B3 - and is best accessed from Harmon. Check in was really easy and quick. Views weren't spectacular but we had enough space and if you're planning to be out and about most of the day and need a good base location, this is an easy reasonably priced option! I

Yelp
Please read my review from last year. My earlier stay took place "pre-Covid". Using that stay as a reference, I thought it might be useful to provide an update during these times in which we're trying to live "with Covid". To begin, I am a timeshare owner. So the units booked were based upon my membership. Also, I enjoyed my last stay. This trip, I booked two units, so that I could invite friends to travel with me. (I could also inspect two rooms.) Unlike last year, I arrived midday. As such, there was plenty of staff at the front desk to check us in. During the check-in process, we were informed of facilities which were not available for use, and modifications of services, due to Covid. Fortunately, none of these changes were material to our stay. I was a little disappointed that the room assigned to me (again) had windows facing the Cosmopolitan. But as a good host, I was glad that the room assigned to my guest had exterior windows on the "view side" of the building. Their view was of the upper parking deck of the Bellagio--but you could see the Paris resort with the correct angle (joke). The quality of both rooms was consistent with my last stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The furnishings and appointments impressed my guest. (Compare this year's photos to last year's photos.) The primary difference, compared with last year: The bed spread used this year is different from that used last year. It is of a type that is easier to launder between guest stays. All of the paper products available in the units remained in their factory sealed packaging--the roll of paper towel in the dispenser above the sink, the toilet paper, the facial tissue in the dispenser. Apparently, management wants each guest to have "new" untouched paper products. I observed the staff on site all wearing masks; depending on their role, some wore gloves. Guest also appeared cooperative in practicing safer behavior. It was a good stay--in spite of the inconveniences caused by this pandemic.

Yelp
Not at all fancy. So set that expectation. Pros: Location: Great spot by Cosmopolitan. Can walk the strip. Price: reasonable Room size: We got the larger 1 bedroom and it was pretty big. Cons: Worn down: Needs remodeling and new furniture. Needs new beds for sure. Maintanance: Rugs were disgusting. Dirty and ripped up all over. Medicine cabinet was was rotting out. View: A wall No housekeeping unless requested each time. They don't even take trash out If looking for something inexpensive and aren't too picky, it's ok.

Yelp
The hotel was nice and is in the middle of the strip. The timeshare presenter think his name was Mark was extremely rude. My wife went to shake his hand, he disregarded her and went on to shake my hand. Checking out was a nightmare. We went for breakfast came back to get our bags, an both of our keys were unuseable. Went to the front desk, got new keys an neither worked. Called from a phone an said security would be up to let us in. Took forever for the security to get there an we were late to the airport. One of the gifts for doing the presentation was a 100.00 dining advantage card. We ate at Pompas and at the end of the meal they said they cut ties with them a year ago. Pampas atleast gave us a 20% off. Many businesses do not recognize this dining card an is a complete scam.

Yelp
do not fall into their lies about sapphire timeshares!! a total ripoff at the least. so sorry we bought into the lies and have nothing of value.

Yelp
Might be a great place for some who have not enjoyed other Vegas hotels with all the amenities like housekeeping, lol. Nowhere on the site did we see that they do not do housekeeping unless you stay 7 days or more. We stayed 3 days and we got to wash our own dishes, clean our coffee pot and make our bed, yippee, just like home. Except if you want to be on vacation, you might prefer a real hotel with real stuff. Everyday we had to ask for more coffee and towels. When we questioned the situation, we were told it was disclosed on the brochure that we were given at check in. Um, I think it should also be disclosed on their site and vebally when checking in because who has time to read brochures in Vegas?? Also, this place does not have any restaurants or coffee shop at all, so be prepared. I think if they had disclosed the bare bones of their place on their site for all to see, we would have made a completely different decision on where to stay!!! The furnishings are borderline shabby. So many great deals at great hotels on Travelzoo, stay somewhere were they treat you like you are on vacation!

Yelp
8/6 Called the hotel and it turns out Millie the 'front desk' manager I spoke with is not there . Got transferred to Laurie (resort manager) and got sent to voicemail. Next I called Expedia and got requested to be transferred to a supervisor. Supervisor Ronnie informed me nothing had been done regarding the issue even though there was three tickets out and I've been calling. He finally got in contact with the hotel and the hotel manager 'Jane' said they need proof which I've sent already -- that Millie confirmed to receiving. Ronnie explained that no email had been sent and the hotel is now requesting to be sent by Expedia. He now escalated it to corporate and now I'm awaiting my response. After over an hour and half of being on the phone with Ronnie from Expedia, I finally received my refund. BUT, THIS REFUND WAS NOT FROM THE HOTEL. It was from Expedia. I still do not know if the hotel will cover my medical expenses since they still need to do their 'investigation'.

Yelp
Apparently you need special, "pre-permission" to attend the Chelsea pool at the Cosmopolitan next door, even though the two hotels share money. Check in/out at odd hours, unless you want to wait in a line. The Derby Tower location is FAR FROM WHERE YOU REQUIRE me to park (at the Cosmopolitan, again).. If I weren't an agile 50-year-old that could carry my luggage for at least a block, AND up hills and ramps, well, pick another place to go, or splurge on someone doing this for you. There's NO easy way to get to your room. Bring hiking shoes. I mentioned this, because we have a kitchenette in which it would be a hassle for a bunch of groceries, unless you're planning on a rough workout.

Yelp
WiFi AWEFUL. So is front desk staff. This place needs to be updated it is like 1974. Except it is November 2021. And they think they are all that, but they are not!!!!!! It is such an old vibe it reminds me when I was three years old, 1976. If I could care less than one star I would. If you what a taste of the 70s hotel, stay here. Yes it is very close to the strip but it is severely outdated.

Yelp
We stayed here the weekend of March 26th. As far as location goes, it is ideal: right on the strip, and fairly central (in between Bellagio and Cosmopolitan hotels). The prices are fantastic for what you get! Right on the strip and every room is a spacious suite (1 or 2-bedroom options available, separate living and dining area plus full kitchen). Another review had mentioned daily resort fees. I'm not sure with whom this person booked their stay, but we were not charged any resort fees (we booked through Agoda). This is a time-share resort so, if you are only looking to stay as a guest, rooms must be booked via a third-party. It was no trouble for us, however. I was a little anxious that we might be approached and harassed by time-share salespeople during our stay, but luckily this was never the case. There are a couple downsides to this place: for one, it is VERY hidden and difficult to find. There is only 1 main drive entranceway to Jockey Club (and no big, obvious signs pointing it out). We Google-mapped it, which helped, but even then we really had to drive slowly and keep a sharp eye out as we approached. There is a shared parking lot with Cosmopolitan and Jockey Club guests are only allowed to park on level B3. You can valet (which we recommend) for $5 per vehicle. You can access Cosmopolitan directly from Jockey Club but, once inside Cosmopolitan, there is zero-signage available to help you navigate your way back to Jockey Club. Very easy to get lost. One of the advertised perks of staying at Jockey Club is access to the Cosmopolitan pool. There are restrictions which are NOT advertised: guests must reserve their pool reservation at the front desk with their ID the day before they wish to access the pool. Reservations are first-come, first-serve and there is a limit so if you happen to try to make a reservation when the list is already full it's tough luck for you. You also cannot make reservations for multiple days in advance, you can only reserve for next-day. This means you must go to the front desk with ID in hand and wait in line for each day you want to reserve your pool spot. You are also only allowed access to the Chelsea Pool, the Boulevard Pool is strictly off-limits. All in all we loved our room with the exception of the view (or lack thereof) we had a single window in the bedroom which faced the wall of the Cosmopolitan. We wanted a Bellagio fountain facing room but unless you reserve specific rooms from third parties who own them outright (and are prepared to pay a premium for said rooms) you cannot be guaranteed a room with a fantastic view. Besides the lack of view, we had a very large suite outfitted with everything we could possibly need (towels, iron/board, hair dryer, dishware, utensils, cookware, etc.) There were large flatscreen TVs in each of the main rooms with HBO access and a DVD player. Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite some of the drawbacks and will likely book again if we aren't lucky enough to score a special deal at one of the neighboring strip hotels.

Yelp
I had the best experience staying here and will be back again for sure! Free parking and on strip location sealed the deal for me. The rooms have a grandparents house vibe which is a little odd but the bed and blankets were comfortable and clean so overall I was satisfied. The parking and rooms are a very short walk and accessible. Other local hotels I've stayed in I had to walk what seemed like miles to my car which is a pain. Check in was easy but check out was a little rough. Overall great experience and I'm very happy with my stay.

Yelp
We had the best week in Las Vegas partly do to staying at the Jockey Club. It is right on the strip so we were able to walk to everything. Great location. We had the best view of the Bellagio and fountains. We sat by the window everynight watching it. So amazing. The unit was a one be perfect for us. Very clean everything was great.

Yelp
definetly better than what i expected! note that i stayed in: room 408 booked through airbnb and it was even a discount 20% off! i usually just like to stay right on the strip so i can downstair into the casino, bar, etc. but this building is on the side of cosmopolitian! prime location!!! pros: * location (next to cosmopolitian) * heated outdoor areas so you can smoke or hang out * two bedroom two full bathrooms * full kitchen included a beverage fridge stocked * decorative nicely cons: * no casino or restaurant connected ( short walk way to connect into cosmo)

Yelp
One star is giving them a good review. I will not and I suggest anyone that is looking into a time share not to attend jockey club presentations. They are horrible unprofessional and like to pass the torch of they wrong behavior around. I was told to come in for a presentation and once I got there and paid for gas and parking they canceled my tour out and disrespected me to the fullest from staffing to security. Amanda booked me in wrong, poncho did nothing to make it right and he is a supervisor. Julie who is over the reps was called and told me it was nothing that she could do. To the point security was call on me for no reason. I video EVERYTHING. Leon came and was walking up on me and my cousin. So unprofessional for the situation at hand. I have never been treated in such a way. I made several calls that took weeks for a person to even get back to me to be told it was nothing that they could do. Sad sad I will never go back to the jockey club/ sapphire to get me a timeshare. On what I was planning on doing. Sad management to deal with. This is a copy of my investigation I was given to attend that they canceled and claimed they tried to call. But found out that was a big lie on top of all the other lies that was told to me. This is a list of workers that's is corporate office workers to receptionist. Amanda, poncho, Julie, Leon (security) Sandy, Millie.

Yelp
Haven't been to this establishment for about 10 years cause we are owners of Hilton and I got this reservation at the last minute. It hasn't changed same decor from 10 years ago hasn't been updated you would thing if you got billions of dollars from selling your parking lot to the Cosmopolitan you would put some money into your own place. Overall the stay was good. Staff was nice. Neighbors in the other unit were loud. I can be at the Hilton and have the same issue no one has respect for being quiet after a certain hour . I would recommend staying here.

Yelp
The wifi is terrible and the data connectivity is not good either. Outside of that our stay was fantastic. Room was spacious and in good shape. Very well stocked. Awesome!

Yelp
Comfortable without taking away from the elegance. Clean roomy, love the layout. Parking is difficult at times Dont bring a big truck because there is no parking however they do have accommodations across the main road which is hard to get to and from walking. We were not fortunate to have a view but we did schedule at the last minute

Yelp
I was nice by giving this company 1 star. I showed up to this presentation. When we arrived, they checked me in and then told my cousin it was a problem with hers. Pancho, the supervisor, handled the situation poorly. Took my cousin downstairs to talk with concierge Amanda. That's where the nightmare begins. Amanda was so unprofessional that she was lying about calling my cousin to tell her that her tour was canceled. Said she call but the line went busy. What cell phone ring busy now days NONE.....MY cousin ask to speak with a manager over Ananda.Julie Jones got on the phone and was speaking in a disrespectful manner she was being rude and very condescending. My cousin was just trying to explain to her what happened when she was cut off and told that if she didn't leave, she would call security to have her put off the property. I asked Amanda if I could speak with Julie Jones, which I was told no .Shortly after Amanda hung up with julie, she became upset. Her colleague tried to deescalate the issue. I told Amanda I would speak only to her colleague. She then exploded and jumped up out of her seat, pointed her finger in her colleague's face, and started yelling at her. When I tried to intervien to calm her down, she became aggressive and started yelling at me. I felt threatened, so I asked if security could be called.Leon the security showed up and just assumed my cousin and I were the aggressor. Even though I tried to keep explaining to him, he wouldn't listen and kept walking in our faces telling us if we don't leave the property he was gonna call the police to have us arrested for trust passing..His behavior was so unprofessional he dont deserve the right to protect and serve..They police were called Leon the security realized he was wrong and sent the police away but still kept trying to kick us off the property like we were criminals. My cousin and I both called to make a complaint. The sapphire resort blames the Jockey Club resort and the Jockey club blamed the Sapphire resort After trying to speak to Millie,Erica, the GM over security and leaving numerous messages with Sandra in Sapphires cooperate office I never received a call back. When I call back again I was finally told by a receptionist that Sandy told her that we were in the wrong and basically my tour was canceled because they made a mistake by scheduling my cousin and me at the same time and that since I made a big deal about it which I didn't that they cancled my tour and then treated us both like criminals behind their mistake. WE went through the chain of commands . Starting with Pancho, the marketing supervisor, to the concierge Amanda that set the appointment to Julie Jones, her supervisor then spoke to the GM head of the security then , Millie another manager .Then we were directed to Erica, who told us to send an email of the complaint which we did she said she'll forward the information, but still nothing after a week. Then they said Sandra in cooperate will call me, which she never did.i called back again only to be told by the receptionist said her name was cherries that Sandra from cooperate said to tell me it's basically nothing their going to do about their mistakes she also tried to make it as if it was our fault the tour was canceled. I feel like these companies are not taken accountability for their actions and just passing the blame . I feel like both companies need to be audited. I feel like they are trying to sweep this under the rug. What else is under their they trying to hide. FOR anyone that's reading this, and ur stopped by a vendor to attend the Jockey club .Run like hell their all liars down their and if this is how they treat people that want to become future owners, and even if u don't, no one deserves to b treated in this conduct . Since the mistakes were made by them, they could have easily honored their mistakes and gave the gifts instead of passing the touch and acting like it wasn't a big deal on how we were treated. BAD BUSINESS.

Yelp
So the rooms are very nice, and the on location staff is helpful & personable, but the getting there, and trying to find the right parking level, and the front desk, was crazy frustrating! The Jockey Club is actually attached to the Cosmopolitan. The parking level that you need to park at is B3, but you don't know that until you enter the level, so I had parked 1 level before, and had a hell of a time trying to find the big wooden doors that I was told to enter through, that were not on this level. Anytime anyone makes reservations to stay here, whether it's through a time share company, on Airbnb, or via any other online site, it should be clearly explained what level to park at, and what level to press in the elevator for the check in desk. I had to call 4 times because someone gave me the wrong instructions, so I asked the security guard walking in the parking structure. I still could not find the big wood doors because the structure is dark as hell, and huge! We walked for 16 minutes just trying to find the right elevator from the parking area. Once we finally found that you park at B3, and the front desk is at JC1 from the elevator through the wooden doors, we finished our frustrated beginning. The front desk gal very clearly explained that now we need to walk to the Derby Tower which is out the doors past the valet, up the ramp, and to the big gold glass doors using our room key. These rooms are like little condos. We got a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen & living room. The bathroom is kinda small, but there's a walk in closet, which is very nice. I only wish that the reservations reps would clearly explain where to enter, park, and what level to get to the front desk, because starting off extremely frustrated is no way to start a Vegas stay.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! My friend booked reservations here for my birthday and I could tell you this is one of the most comfortable and beautiful suites I've stayed in. Mind you, I'm one that would try different places every other weekend. This by far has been one of the best. The suite was pretty big we fit 4 people very comfortably and it was a very clean place. Staff was very attentive when it came to taking care of us and they went on and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We had valet parking which was great, I felt like a queen on my day! Make sure to check them out if you are there for the weekend, you won't be disappointed.

This place is not that great. I stayed in a room that was beat on. Carpet was ripped and torn, furniture was old and awful, zero amenities. Never again.

Yelp
Get out now while you can! Don't be fooled or swindled into purchasing a time share. its tooo good to be true and there's a catch! Stay with Air BnB, Southwest Airlines, Orbitz, EBAY's BOGO. I booked a trip to Philippines and Thailand for three weeks RT for only $660 (hotel/airfare) through Orbitz and air b&b, only because Jockey Club/Sapphire resorts was charging me $800 a night! then wtf was my timeshare for then? My first review was a total mistake LOL.

Yelp
What they don't tell you is you may get a room with a view or the other 50% is you get a dungeon with a wall about 15 feet away that scales up 30or more stories so you are essentially in a dungeon with no view no chance of any light and if you want to see the sky, you must press your foreead against the window and rotate you head and you "may" see a sliver of blue. In addition the bathroom is right out of Chevy Chase National vacation. I have stayed in practically every 4 and 5 star hotel on this strip and would NEVER send a friend here or stay here again my self. They only reason I can fatho the high review is they were ONLY by people on the "view" side of this place.

Yelp
I booked a room at the Jockey Club Suites through Southwest Vacations for my sister and myself. I wanted the guarantee of an immediate booking rather than waiting for 24 hours for each AirBnb owner to see if we were approved. We paid a higher price, but got a room on short notice. When we first arrived, we were happy to see that we could get early check in. However, once we entered the room, we saw that we were given a sub-par room that obviously hadn't been updated since the 70's. The headboard had a huge rip in it that they thought they could hide with a pillow. The dresser drawer stayed open permanently. The lampshade had disgusting stains on it. The carpet between the bedroom and bathroom was shredded. The sofa bed had such a thin mattress and weak springs that it felt like I was going to fall right through to the floor. My biggest complaint happened one night when we returned to our room after a show at approximately 11:45pm. When we entered the room, we heard the smoke detector chirping from a dead battery. I called down to the front desk and the woman who answered said she would send someone right up. After waiting over 30 minutes, I called again. I asked if we could be moved to a different room. She rudely replied that it wouldn't be possible because we booked with a third party vendor. This woman responded that security would be the ones to help with that and she transferred me to security. Apparently, the first woman just ignored my request completely. The security staff member asked me "what kind of battery the smoke detector takes". So, I had to climb on a chair and stand on the dresser to find out for him. After a "medical emergency" next door to our room, a security staff member finally entered our room. It was obvious that he had never changed a battery in a smoke detector before. I had to explain to him how to get the battery cover off. Finally, he put in a new battery, but it continued to chirp. He then radioed to another staff member who asked him how many smoke detectors are in the room. How does a staff member not know how many smoke detectors are in these identical rooms? He told the staff member in our room that they are connected, and if you change one battery, you have to change both. So, he changed the other battery and succeeded in making both smoke detectors start chirping in stereo. He told us he was going to go get the engineer to come up and fix it. He left, and I never heard from him again. After another 30 minutes, I walked down to the security office. The man in the office apparently thought the problem had been fixed. He apologized and said he would be right up. 20 minutes later, he entered our room and wiggled the batteries around with no luck. He then called another staff member for advice. In the end, after 3 hours, at 2:30am, his solution was to disconnect both smoke detectors and leave us with no functioning smoke detector in our room. I will NEVER return to a place that would rather put our lives in danger than move us to another room. Apparently, guests who book through 3rd party vendors are second class citizens who don't deserve any consideration or safety. This place has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced, the most outdated, run down rooms and incompetent staff members. Don't let the pictures fool you. You will not get a room like the pictures and don't even think that you will ever get a room with a view of the Bellagio fountains. You will get a view of a concrete wall and an alley.

Yelp
I vacationed in Las Vegas from 8/29/2018 - 9/3/2018. The first night I stayed at the Artisan Hotel and for the next four nights, I was at the Jockey Club. I booked my room through the priceline.com website months in advance on April 6, 2018. The total price I paid for my four-night stay at the Jockey Club was $563.28. The Jockey Club is a hidden gem in more ways than one. If you aren't looking for it, chances are you'll never notice it despite the fact that it's in the middle of everything on the Vegas strip. The main reason why is because it's literally nestled in between the gigantic (and more popular) Cosmopolitan Hotel and Bellagio Hotel. Both those hotels dwarf the Jockey Club. To get there, you must turn down a narrow street separating those two colossus hotels and the Jockey Club is right there standing sheepishly like a stepchild or the runt of the litter. Some people may consider that a bad thing but since it's not as popular, its prices are cheaper. I arrived there around noon but they went ahead and let me check in even though the normal check-in time is 4pm. They don't charge any incidental fees but they'll take your credit card info just in case there's any damage done to your room while you're there. Helpful hint: Whatever you do, please make sure you request a room facing the Bellagio fountains ahead of time. You won't regret it. I stayed in room 932 in the Ascot Tower. When I opened the door, I had to stop and take it all in. It was really nice! It's more like a furnished apartment than a hotel. There was a living room with a long couch, a coffee table, and a huge big screen tv. To the right of the living room was a real kitchen complete with a big refrigerator/freezer, a stove, a microwave, coffee maker, and cabinets equipped with drinking glasses, plates, and eating utensils. I walked into the bedroom and was surprised to find another big screen tv there too. The bed was king sized, there was a huge walk-in closet (with an iron/ironing board), an alarm clock, and a basket (which is used to place your dirty towels for housekeeping). The restroom was small but clean, and the shower had a glass door you have to slide back in order to get into the shower. I can't state enough how picturesque the view from my room was. Before I even unpacked, I took a photo of my view and posted it on Facebook, adding the caption "my current situation." Right away, my fb friends started hitting the like button. I could look out the window and see the Paris Hotel and the dancing waters in the Bellagio fountains. It looked even better at night. That's why I say you should ask for a room with that view. Not every room is like that. From my observation, the Jockey Club seems to cater to a slightly older crowd. There were young people (like the girl next door who had to yell, "Woohoo! Vegas baybeeee!!!!" every few minutes) but most guests were of a more mature age than the rowdy revelers at the Cosmopolitan. You could also tell the difference from the flyer listing resort activities at the Jockey Club. They had Tuesday of that week listed as Bingo night. Real party animals at the Jockey Club! To its credit though, some of the resort activities were useful if you took advantage of them. Three days that week they had shuttles that would take you to a grocery store and back. And two days that week they had a shuttle that would take you to a local mall. Another night, they had a complimentary shuttle to Fremont Street. One day they served free doughnuts in the lobby. And every day you could get free hot popcorn. There is a handy convenient store on the first floor beside the check-in counter. Not everything was perfect: 1) Since the street you have to turn down to get to the Jockey Club is so narrow, you must go over to the always busy Cosmopolitan to catch a Lyft, Uber, or taxi. And since the hotels are so close, sometimes Lyft's GPS would say I was at the Bellagio instead of the Cosmo. But airport shuttles will stop right in front of the Jockey Club. 2) There's a business center near the lobby. That's a good thing, but if you want to print anything you have to go to their hospitality center just a few steps away (where they give out the free popcorn). Anything printed must be done there between 7am-11pm. What I disliked most about using their business center is that almost every time I sat at a computer, an employee would eventually ask if I was actually a guest at the hotel. The surprising thing is that the employees who did this were black, though there was one inebriated white guy who asked me the same thing on the elevator. I wasn't dressed any differently from most other people but I guess I have a look that warrants suspicion. Still, most of the employees were very courteous & respectful. 3) There's no casino here. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the Jockey Club. I think it'll be my new go-to Vegas hotel in the future. 4 stars!

Yelp
This place is A FRAUD. They are all over the strip telling people you get all these gifts to listen to their presentation. When we sign up they told us to tell them we just bought a house and can't do timeshare right now but we can still collect the gifts. We were told we would get a three night stay at cosmopolitan but when we followed her to where we were supposed to sign up and do the presentation it was in a back alley upstairs at the Jockey club. When we walked in they were playing erotic music and an old pimp was standing behind the counter. Immediately I had a bad feeling and wanted to leave. I was asked by three different people to flash my credit card so they know that I have a major credit card because that means you have money. Wtf kinda bs is that!? Waste of time. They're most definately running some janky shit.
