Stopped for a cup of coffee. They offer multiple sizes-including an extra large- I tried the drip of the day-was very delicious.

Ordered a Iced Caramel Latte which was good. Blueberry muffin was pretty solid.. would be good if toasted till top was slightly crisp but was good. Partner-In-Crime ordered Vanilla Iced Latte and thoroughly enjoyed it.

A great coffee shop! A lovely place to spend an hour and grab your caffeine fix. The coffee is good (arabica) and the whole place has a friendly, chilled vibe. The only downside is that it could have been mistake for the Apple Store. A laptop ban would make this place heaven but no-one can blame the freelance community for wanting to kick back here and get some work done.

When I went there, the espresso machine was down, so I decided to get a large drip coffee with a splash of almond milk. The roast was indeed very good, and I'm glad I didn't go somewhere else to get a cappuccino. I had a very good 'pride scone'.

Nestled in a quiet street corner of the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. Open, bright with plenty of seating available all around whether at tables or the window, as well as outside with benches. Good selection of coffee and pastries. Relaxing spot to hang out, work, or read on a weekend afternoon.

While exploring Dumbo in Brooklyn, I stumbled upon Joe Coffee, which turned out to be the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. This intimate and quaint spot offers a variety of coffee, teas, specialty drinks, and pastries. For my first visit, I went with the shaken espresso and Nutella banana bread. The espresso was delicious--just a few sips gave me that much-needed boost! The banana bread paired perfectly, making for an ideal combo. The customer service was excellent, and I loved the blue-and-white decor. They also offer customized Joe Coffee products for purchase, plus a water station to help you stay hydrated. A couple of things to note: seating inside is limited, but there's outdoor seating available. They also provide a gender-neutral restroom. Overall, it was my first experience, but it definitely won't be my last!

What a great cup of coffee. So smooth... loved it. Would go back in a second! Cheerful and kind workers, lovely space, right in the middle of lots of little shops and charming historic neighborhoods.

Interesting place and attitude. Most places would love for you to take pictures to promote their establishments. I just barely take photo, and the gal said right away no photo, and not in a good way. So I didn't get a chance to order, ijust left.

As an update to my previous review - when I ordered an iced latte and received a prebatched chilled espresso mixed with milk "Coldstretto - the future of cold espresso" rather than a freshly pulled double shot... It turns out you can get the regular fresh espresso if you ask for it. But their new method for iced lattes is using the Coldstretto refrigerated mix in (for the same price of $6.50). I suppose some people prefer this, and for sure it's easier for the staff. In terms of flavor, I'm 100% ordering an iced latte with the traditional pulled espresso. So glad they still have this option.

Trendy coffee shop franchise. The vibe is hip and youthful. The coffee is ok. The staff was quick and kept the line moving. This location is in Dumbo and a hot spot for tourists getting pics of the Brooklyn bridge. It can get crowded. It's a nice spot to grab a quick beverage or scone.

Somehow it took me over 6 months to check out this cozy neighborhood coffee shop in Brooklyn Heights! I blame it on all the other cute coffee/pastry spots on Montague/Smith Streets, and the fact that this one feels deep in the Fruit Streets of BH. When I popped in this past weekend, I immediately noticed how friendly/quiet the vibe was in here. There were kids and coloring books, folks reviewing resumes/manuscripts (?), and your usual weekend late morning coffee drinkers. I love that it didn't feel super rushed/loud the way that most of NYC feels to me. Despite there being a line, things moved quickly and people would come and go so there was no need to wait long for a table whether it was inside or out on their little deck area lined with fresh green herbs. Onto the food and drink! I got an iced americano - I love that they don't charge extra for different milks here! I got a nice roasty/toasty flaor from my drink that I enjoyed, and I also tried the plain croissant and citrus/olive oil mini bundt. The bundt was lovely, and the croissant wasn't bad but it definitely tastes like a Costco croissant that would benefit from a nice lil toasting.

Incorrect hours and no contact information posted online. After leaving my train to purchase some coffees bean I was turned alway; horrible service.

Wanted to take my mom for a some Coffee and pastry. Luckily I found this place. Great and friendly service. We got lucky we go there before the traffic came in. Mom Really enjoyed the window view. Seeing the kids walk to school and the pet owners walking their dogs. I has a latte and a pumpkin pastry. It was delicious.

I did not, in fact, get coffee. But the elderberry yuzu spritz was exactly what I needed on my sad girl walk around Dumbo for the last time this semester (also, can we appreciate how pretty it looks in the sun?!)

Cute coffee spot right next to the iconic dumbo photo with the Manhattan bridge. There is a restroom here but just one so they have signs to also consider going to the timeout market which is close by. There is a good amount of seating here and they also have vegan cookies available in the pastry case. Overall a great place to spot by if you are in the area.

My favorite Joe's Coffee location! If I'm ever in the area and want a iced latte this is my go to place. The coffee is smooth and delish! I give it 5/5 because the workers/baristas are all so nice and welcoming. Great spot to hang out and read a book or do some work

This was the best chai I've had in a long time. It was perfectly sweet and so creamy. The spices were strong and the overall flavor very satisfying. They had other funky drinks like a strawberry cold brew that we liked as well. They have a public bathroom, as well as a water cooler available in the cafe, which is so great!

Food was stale employees were ignoring and talking to each other the whole time while I was waiting to order. Which usually okay whatever I don't mind but this just was too far. It's such a beautiful neighborhood that I wish I had a good experience to come back to. Ambiance was fine.

Visiting from Seattle, Joe's was a recommendation from a friend who knows his coffee, so we listened (we're not dumb)! Super friendly staff, delicious bakery goodies: we ordered a chocolate chip scone, pistachio cardamom bread, and breakfast bar. All with a rating of mmm-mmmm-mmmmm! Lots of options for the tea drinkers, I ordered an Assam tea. My husband is a coffee drinker and ordered an oat milk cappuccino. My son ordered a water (ha)! Great water! There are lots of options in Brooklyn but this one should be at the top of your list!

Joe Coffee Company is my favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood for 2 reasons: 1) Chai latte with oat milk - perfect blend of sweet and spice, best chai in the area. 2) Doughnut Plant donuts sold here on the weekends. Joe Coffee has been great about implementing safe protocols and offers the option to order ahead and pick up right outside the door. Service has always been friendly and attentive. Highly recommend Joe Coffee Company!

First of all Location, Location, Location. This is a well situated coffee shop next to Brooklyn bridge and Dumbo. You can either enjoy their drink within their premises or take it to the nearest park at Dumbo to enjoy the view or sunset. The service is nice, however they missed my drink in the order but hey thats a human error. When i reminded them, they quickly worked on it. I tried their Turmeric latte which is a very tricky drink i feel. Slight mismatch on the turmeric ratio and your tastebuds will not forgive you through out the day. But i guess they have mastered the art of the Turmeric magic. Turmeric is believed to have antiseptic characteristics so definitely a good choice for chilly NY days. Mocha was so so, not bad but regular stuff nothing special about it. If you around Brooklyn Bridge or Dumbo, definitely stop by and hola at them. I am really about supporting the local business and these guys are doing great on the coffee scene.

Got a chai tea latte with oat milk! I would have to recommend the chai as it's not too overpowering with oat milk! The staff was nice and the overall ambiance of the shop was great. Would definitely recommend if you need a place to get work done!

We walked in here thinking it was Joe & The Juice, and we were extremely and pleasantly surprised.

This is my favorite place to grab coffee in the neighborhood. There's plenty of seating, and the corner on which it's situated allows for tons of sunlight. Best of all, they have oat milk available! I believe this is the only sit-down cafe in the area with lots of dairy alternatives, as Lassen & Hennings is more grab 'n go, unless you want to schlep over to Brooklyn Roasting Company in Dumbo. Be sure to pick up a punch card (free drinks after 10 purchases), as Joe's is a local chain with locations in NYC and Philly.

I have to give credit where credit's due I decided to try this place again after a ~6 month hiatus because of the previous bad experiences I had in the fall. I try to keep an open mind and give people/business second chances and it works out more often than not! They seemed to have drastically improved the process of churning customers. The lady who would yell out about being at capacity had a MUCH friendlier tone with people compared to the fall. What would normally be a 30-40 minute process to get coffee has been cut down to 10-15 minutes. They also stopped the whole tip-shaming bit I mentioned in my last review. They now have it like other places where an iPad is presented to the customer to confirm a tip without telling the cashier. I would say overall the staff seemed more with the program as a whole and more professional compared to when I would visit last year. All that aside- the coffee at this place is pretty good. I had their latest seasonal drink (Spiced Cookie Latte) and it was delicious! I don't normally do flavored coffee but this place does it nicely where they don't over-do it and ruin the coffee like most other places. Only areas of improvement I could still recommend to management is the speediness of the coffee making and the price. Call me cheap but $7 for coffee in Brooklyn seems steep! Makes this more of an occasional treat than a regular place to pick up coffee. Kudos to this Joe Coffee location for improving! I'll be coming back from time to time and urge the other people who also complained about the poor service to give them a second shot too- I'm glad I did!

I occasionally stop by this place for a coffee or tea and it's fine. Service is pretty quick, drinks are good and coffee options in that area are minimal so it's nice that they're there. I've never hung out in the actual shop, couldn't now with covid anyway, but it doesn't seem all that welcoming anyway. In short, drinks here aren't bad if you find yourself in this neighborhood.

Joe Coffee has the best iced vanilla latte anywhere. They're quick, consistent, and deliciousDo I wish it didn't cost me $7.10 (with almond milk)? Yes. But here I am still doling out cash most mornings. Plus, the outdoor seating is really great to enjoy the very very quiet Brooklyn heights & pet some dogs.

This place no bueno! First off, its 2020 and when it comes to coffee everyone in NYC exaggerate how great it taste at Joe's! No It does not, coffee is way too expensive here. Almost $5 for coffee? Get out of here, they make it seem like where they get there coffee is the most exclusive place in the world. And the staff are completely weirdos! It's like addicts working here, no lie! Plus after COVID, I don't see people hanging out here. All people do Is order one cup of coffee and stay there like it's a family reunion. So JOE's, this is BROOKLYN don't try to underestimate, be fair with the prices and get people to keep it moving grab a coffee and move it along this is not ur living room.

Amazing addition to the neighborhood. The quick and dirty... coffee is delicious and baristas are talented enough that yes, you can get an espresso. Love that they sell local pastries and the space is bright, clean, and beautiful. I really hope that once they add WiFi, they can ensure they don't loose all available seating. Welcome!

This place definitely gives a little something back to the area with its chill vibes and open feel. The first time I went to Joe's I was immediately attracted by the color scheme and architecture of the place. Secondly I was really impressed by the employees; they all sync so well and are on top of their job. I had ordered a iced coffee and a chocolate chip cookie, which easily was my favorite. I don't drink a lot of coffee because of the side effects I get after consuming but I can tell they make a good cup. I go for the hot chocolate with a marshmallow in it! Definitely try the Maple Waffle Donut!! So good.

Really great coffee and typically a great vibe but spent a few hours there this evening in which the two baristas blasted a mix between heavy metal / electronic the entire time. Never been to a coffee shop with such loud and abrasive music! (Since it was a holiday, I got the feeling they wanted people to leave so they could close up.) Multiple people looked upset and tried putting on headphones. After not being able to listen to my music without hearing the background music, I asked one of them politely to turn down the music. She gave me a pretty dirty look, replied sure, and did nothing. When I returned to my seat, two other customers thanked me. Half hour later, the music was literally someone screaming at the top of their lungs and was not any lower. I asked again politely and they said they would turn it down. They did not ever turn down the music and continued to play it at full volume. One person got up to leave and told me they tried asking too but had no luck. I left with a horrible headache. When I left they were laughing and shot me mean looks. Cool coffee shop behavior, guys!

Love this place! Located a block or two away from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. Great coffee, and awesome selection of pastries including Doughnut Plant donuts on the weekends. Staff members are attentive and nice.

Ok coffee, but reeking, disgusting toilet. Pros: smiling baristas, decent coffee, nice variety of pastries Cons: bathroom smells like a urine-soaked subway elevator at the peak of summer. It completely eradicates any positive vibe. Bonus: there is no soap in the dispenser. How are the baristas washing their hands? Seriously, it's not hard to keep a toilet clean. I

My least favorite coffee shop in the area. The service was fine, but $6+ for a latte the size of my palm?? At that price you'd expect it to taste amazing, but it was honestly underwhelming. I basically paid for a cup of oat milk. This also isn't the place if you're looking to work, it can get insanely packed and loud. An overall poor experience and there a way too many other coffee shops around to revisit this one.

Cozy spot with friendly employees. The iced mocha was good and the sandwich was all right but a little pricey. I overheard one employee offer a hot chocolate to the mail person on a very cold day which I thought was so nice. I liked the fun neon sign too! My only complaint would be the outlet situation, I thought I would be able to find one easily at a coffee shop but that was not the case.

Slow. Lots of kids. Great coffee. Places to sit. I stayed nearby this trip. Coffee is great. Coffee comes out slowly. Lots of parents with their kids are coming here. Lots of places to sit including two benches outside. I'd come back.

I went caffeine free for a few months. It felt so good to be able to have energy every day without the crashes and was a money saver each morning when I didn't even think about needing a beverage to start the day. But then. I stopped by Joe one morning and experienced the thickest, creamiest, cup of earthy vegetal oat heaven indulgence in their matcha latte and have been back on the wagon for weeks. There is not a coffee shop I've been to that is able to create lattes as creamy as Joe's and I don't know how but wow.

Line always moves fast if there is one, coffee is great and pastries are amazing and they publish the calorie count. Friendly Baristas. Outdoor seating is well done.

Award winning for the best burnt coffee in Brooklyn. 4 out of 5 says it was the most burnt coffee around. What made the experience even more grand was how they over filled the cup and it burnt my hand. Double the burn.

Leaky lids. No wifi. I've really tried to like this Joe Coffee. But these problems have existed since they opened and have nothing has been done. How can you be a NYC coffee chain and your lids drip all over the customers? The no-wifi policy is just obnoxious -- this is a quiet corner in Brooklyn where customers like to chill. I'll go to Vineapple. One star for decent coffee. One star for ambiance.

The more I think about it the more angry I get... I ran in there to get a cup of coffee... I must admit it was delicious but I was in a hurry and I swiped my card and I had a dollar bill to give the girl a tip... I don't know why I have to tip for a four dollar a cup of coffee went all she did was pour it but never the less I know they work on Tips... So I swipe my card and I see a $2.10 tip! FOR A $4 cup of coffee!!??? I turned to her and said absolutely positively not! She assured me that she would refund it... It's not the money it's the principle. I called when I saw it wasn't refunded and I spoke to a manager assured me it would be refunded I waited a few days and it was not... God knows how many people they are doing that to I think it's reprehensible... If she had served me at a table and asked me if I needed anything for that would've been way different but to just give herself a 50% tip?? And then being called by the manager and not being refunded... when he said he would?? Ugh. I would never step foot in that place again I want to just reiterate... They probably do that all the time and people either don't care or are too embarrassed to say anything... or just don't know. It's absolute downright robbery

Guys. Just get WiFi. I see a staff or manager's comment saying they do have WiFi, but I was in last week and was told by a barista to use a non-functional public Time Warner Cable network. I find this exceedingly obnoxious and will go to Vineapple any day over a place that continues to not offer WiFi despite the numerous complaints from customers.

Perfect cappuccino and loved the olive oil pumpkin bread! Also the peanut butter cookie was a staple in my diet when I lived in New York. Love this new location and the staff was friendly and wonderful. I miss you Joe!

Great coffee and great service... OH! Did I mention that the pastries are delicious too!?! Well they are. I really loved this cafe and everything about it. What a treasure!

Dying to love this place. And I almost do. - great coffee & chai - amazing treats from local bakeries - sweet baristas BUT they don't have wifi. If they were a small hole in the wall I'd get it but it's a huge & bright space. In this neighborhood, with so many stay at home writers and freelancers, that's a bit of a waste to have a coffeehouse without WiFi or means to work while you sit. Hope this changes quickly while they work out the kinks!

Cozy ambiance, great drinks, plenty of tables and a windowside corner nook to work in. Echoing the other reviews here, the only letdown was the lack of free public WiFi - the one provided only works if you are subscribed to Time Warner Cable/Spectrum. There's a guest option that allows you 30 min of free WiFi but personally I had issues logging onto this. Nevertheless, a great space to do some off-the-grid analog activities (reading, anyone?)

It's always so crowded when I go so I never get to sit and enjoy my coffee! Not my favorite coffee ever but the place itself has a hipster vibe and plenty of people working in there. Which is why it's always crowded. Always friendly staff though!
