Joe Coffee Company: LaGuardia Place

This is my second time visiting Joe Coffee and I must commend Sean (hope I have the spelling right) for his compassion and his going above duty to assist me. You see I have a physical disability and many times I am ignored and shunned in restaurants. I use it as my super power because I can truly give my opinion about the places I visit. Sean both times went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Even though some customers were closer and didn't help me when I was struggling with the door, he left his post to assist me. I want to say to you Sean your mom raised you right and it was my pleasure meeting you. I further would like to say that the atmosphere and vibe was great and the food exceptional. Sean needs a raise😉.

The cashier in the morning with glasses: SO rude. She has an attitude every time I come in. It's so weird because everyone else is so(!) nice. I'm not sure if she's the manager or what but it sucks. When I walked in I said good morning and she just stared at me. I love this place but someone should really talk with her about how she treats customers paying $7 for a latte.

Bae and I came here on Valentines day. We met up in the park by the arch for a kiss and to exchange gifts. I had a latte, bae a cappuccino. This dude knew how to do it . Makes a difference when a skilled dude makes your latte vs some fast food joint type of place. Atmosphere is chill. We heading to dinner after.

Such personable baristas, the cafe itself is adorable and located conveniently at walking distance from the nyu campus. I got myself a cappuccino and loved it!

clean, spacious coffee shop that seems like a safe community space. the barista made me the perfect matcha latte with oat milk and was so friendly. will definitely return.

My fav coffee spot in Washington Square neighborhood. Great coffee, comfort and quiet here. You can read books from the table.

Stumbled upon this place while looking for another place and glad we chose this place. Bae got a latte and I got an espresso with creamer. Muy Delicioso and I know it’s doing it’s job. Small cute establishment. Quiet atmosphere, everyone minds their business. The barista man was very nice. I think we found our new village coffee spot. Will definitely return!

Today was my first visit at this location. I have to admit the service was exceptional. I ordered a decaf americano and the drink was top notch. It's a quiet and clean location. I recommend stopping by here if you are in the area.

Nothing fancy, just a cute little coffee shop serving up a good cup of joe. I tried their flavored coffees as well and they were tasty too.

Good coffee! The barista was super nice and seemed to know his customers which was nice to see. He seemed to make my coffee thoughtfully and I appreciate that. I like the aesthetic of the coffee shop. Reminds me of coffee shops I visited in Boston. I would definitely stop by again.

Came pre-walk around the area to grab a quick cup of coffee to warm me up, which tasted as expected. My friend ordered their Glazed Lemon Loaf ($5.50), which was honestly kinda small for the price and she noted that it was a bit oilier than she expected. Ample seating in the back, with tables and futons, and a restroom for customers. There's water on tap for those who are seated in the back. Overall, cozy space with quick service in a convenient area!

Coffee was better than what I order at the Tin Building. That's saying a lot! The server was very nice and pleasant. Cute and cozy seating indoors.

My favorite cafe! outside seating area and inside it's quite big inside so if you're coming to study, meet your friends, and business meeting..... yes it's perfect! Inside has no music it's pretty quiet. Customers are cool as well. across the street has bunch of benches so I also recommend to be outside. relax vibe and non judgmental baristas. Pretty easy going. One bathroom is inside. (Always available) they have new drinks all occasions. But it's a bit pricy. 550 LaGuardia pl NY NY a great environment. Ducked in here today during pouring rain out of nowhere! So glad I did, beautiful coffee. I had a double americano, smooth creamy and not bitter. No pastries but they looked fabulous. Delightful people working, helpful and energetic. A cosy place to get some work done or study.

Fantastic coffee, amazing staff. And lots of delightful snacks and pastries. My go to spot!

Brewed coffee is $3.25 not $9 like some other coffee shops in the area. They also have a nice sitting area inside. We had a difficult time finding a coffee shop with indoor seating on a cold day. A pleasant place to stop and have a cup of joe and relax.

A perfect day! I was uncertain about my visit to JoeCoffee today. After all, it is Thanksgiving. Would they be open? They were! Greeted with lovely smiles by Natalie and Ian aka Nebraska and Philly, they sacrificed half their holiday to serve the public, and welcomingly so. They'd still get to spend the latter half of the day (after 2pm) with family). Low-key friendliness and dressed in cozy casual, they proved there's more to blending an atmosphere than knowing how to blend the perfect coffee; although Ian did do that--the best latte I've had in some time. Ian shared a playlist that felt perfect for Thanksgiving -- what might be termed as neu or neo folk, composed of tracks by Iron & Wine, My Morning Jacket and others. Thanksgiving needs to have folk music, in my opinion. Something thoughtfully acoustic with introspective vocals in soft tones. Nothing too stressful. The morning sunlight was a bit bright, but I settled into a shadowy corner table in the back and was able to watch the autumn view out the front window as leaves cascaded down hypnotically to the music at perfectly ambient volume level. It was chill weather and chill time. I don't know if it was the hot milk in the coffee, the blend of espresso, the ambience of the music, the personalities of the baristas. Or, maybe I was just in the right mood, but the whole experience mellowed me out and swept away any of the angst and stress that seems to come part and parcel with holidays. Whatever the ingredients, this was the perfect blend for a perfect day. Thank you to my holiday hosts, Natalie & Ian. 5 stars! I am grateful!
