"The NCAA has canceled March Madness, calling off its signature championship tournaments for men’s and women’s basketball, so Alexandria Restaurant Partners won’t be hosting its Basketball Bracket Bonanza this weekend at newly acquired Joe Theismann’s Restaurant." - Tierney Plumb
"Old Town diners can find all-day specials at the renovated sports bar founded by former Redskins quarterback and Super Bowl XVII champion Joe Theismann. From 10 a.m. until midnight, snack on bottomless appetizers such as hot beer cheese, half-smoke nachos, and Reuben fries for $30 per person." - Vinciane Ngomsi, Tierney Plumb
"In other ARP news, Joe Theismann’s Restaurant is undergoing renovations. The restaurant group bought an equity stake in the 33-year-old business from the legendary Redskins quarterback last year. The 7,800-square-foot steakhouse next to the King Street Metro will add a new island bar with 20 draft lines. Steak-and-burger mainstays will be joined by newer items like pan-seared salmon, poke bowls, Southern fried chicken salad, and bottomless brunch bars. Theismann’s will stay open during its months-long overhaul, operating as a pop-up bar called JT that serves happy hour and a pared-down menu of core dishes. Renovations are projected to finish by mid-September, lining up with kickoff of the NFL’s 100th season and Theismann’s 70th birthday." - Tierney Plumb
"Following a months-long renovation, Joe Theismann’s Restaurant unveiled a refreshed look and menu with new items and mainstays." - Eater Staff
"Alexandria Restaurant Partners, the hospitality group behind homegrown eateries Virtue Feed & Grain, Vola’s, and Majestic, is now part owner of Old Town standby Theismann’s. No immediate changes are planned." - Warren Rojas
