Staying on Hilton Head, we rarely dine in Bluffton as there are so many options on the island. However, this restaurant was so highly recommended, six of us had dinner this past Wednesday. The place was packed, we didn’t know it was 1/2 price wine Wednesday, a nice surprise. As the photos show, we ordered a bit of everything, forgot to take a snap of the margarita pizza, which was outstanding.
The pig and fig is an absolute must. The best prosciutto outside of Italy. The duck Ragu, although it doesn’t present quite so well, was amazing, both the duck and homemade pasta. Osso Buco was cooked to perfection, falling off the bone. Octopus was cooked perfectly. But my favorite was the cioppino. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the spicy tomato broth, extremely light, was the best I’ve ever tasted.
Portions are plentiful. Order a variety so you can share, you’ll want a taste of everything!!
The restaurant is less than a year old and they definitely have some kinks to work out. Could absolutely use more help at the bar, it took forever to get our drinks, but the food came out rather quickly. Extremely nice hostess and staff.
Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. Everything was outstanding and we will definitely return. This place is going to turn into a hotspot for sure. We have dined at the May River Grill, which is also terrific, but Joelle is a totally different atmosphere with exceptional food. Now Bluffton has two fantastic restaurants to enjoy. There is definitely room for both.
