When trying a new burger joint, I always order the basic cheeseburger. I made mine a double. My theory is that anyone can cover up their flaws with all sorts of different toppings, but a basic burger... you're not afforded that luxury. So if you can't, execute the most basic burger, then you're not a great burger joint.
When I got my burger, the patties were bit overcooked. And as some commenters pointed out, they were a bit on the small side. And the buns also seemed a bit dense. I was expecting a lighter more fluffy consistency. If you like dense buns, you may appreciate this place a bit more than I did. As for the taste.... Well, it wasn't bad and it wasn't good. It was just average. For what you pay, I'd expected more out of the burger.
While the burger wasn't the greatest, I did like the onion rings that I ordered. They were tasty and perfectly cooked. And best of all, they were not greasy. But the portion was small given the $5.00 price tag.
While the food may have been average, the staff was very warm and friendly. Despite the great staff, Over all, I wasn't blown away by this place. I might return to try some of their other offerings like their fish and chips. However, if I'm in the mood for a burger, I may have to skip this place.
