Joe's Italian Grill Spencer, Pasadena

Absolutely amazing. Can't speak to it comparing to other Italian in the area (haven't tried elsewhere), but this is for sure the best restaurant I've had in Pasadena by far. Absolutely amazing wait staff and hosts, delicious bread and oil, tasty food, and huge portions. Can't go wrong with a simple salad - helps you fill up to be able to take more leftovers! Would absolutely recommend the Chicken Aristocrat to get a taste of their pink sauce(?), chicken, and eggplant, which are all amazing. Dessert (Black Forest Cheesecake) was small, but tasty!

The food is incredibly delicious! The prices are very reasonable. The portions are more than generous. The water is so good! I think they filter the water. It's is so much better than any other place I've been to. The servers and manager are very attentive.

The good- I ordered the chicken and shrimp florentina, and it was good. The bread rolls and dipping oil were great. The bad- the chicken and shrimp florentina came with a salad, so I ordered the cesar salad, it was just a regular salad with cesar dressing, no romaine lettuce, no croutons, no parmesean cheese, it was iceberg lettuce, with white cheese, a tomato, and a slice of red onion. We ordered the focaccia bread and a side of pesto. The focaccia bread was just fench bread split in half with melted cheese and a slice of tomato, with marina as dipping sauce. I attached a picture of what focaccia bread is. The pesto sauce was just their oil dipping sauce that came with the bread. Again, attached is a picture of what pesto is suppose to be. Were they good?!? They were decent, but this is still just plain false advertisement.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. I think this might be the best casual Italian food in the area. The ranch dressing on the salad was incredible. Bread was great. Both dishes we got were good; cooked and seasoned well. The lunch menu was a good deal. We will definitely be back.

I have eaten there several times and have not been disappointed. Good size portions, warm fresh bread and a wait staff that are familiar with the menu.Excellent service too.have also called in a couple of orders for pick-up and the order was perfect! No forgotten food. The stuffed mushrooms are great ( I like the Alfredo sauce) I had shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta this time, it could had a couple of more shrimps but otherwise it was delicious.I will continue to eat and order from here. Try it you will NOT be disappointed!!

The herb and oil is so delicious. We have eaten here several time. With my co-workers and my family. I highly recommend this local restaurant. You won't be disappointed with the excellent food.

Definitely will be back soon! We came for a birthday party, so we had a large group. The service was constant, and the servers were so sweet! The food was so good! We ordered: lobster ravioli, baked ziti, chicken parmigian with spaghetti, and a chicken parm hot sub. The sauce with the lobster ravioli was soo good and it was served with some large shrimp, which is really nice. The ravioli itself was a little underwhelming, but it's not bad. The chicken parm, baked ziti, and parm sub were so delicious. The waiter even took the cake to the back and brought back cut pieces for everyone. Amazing service! My brother ordered a chichen Alfredo pizza from there tonight and it was so good!

Wow! LOVE their food. They were super swamped and handled the crowd flawlessly. There was a line, but the wait was worth it; and we heard many other patrons saying the same thing. They serve warm rolls and seasoned dipping oil. The dinner salad was a nice change from standard diners. The house dressing is delicios! For dinner, we had the Stuffed Mushrooms, Spaghetti and Meatballs with angel hair pasta and The Works! Many guests had great looking lazagna and huge pizza. I'll be trying the Alfredo next time. We will make this a regular date night. There were large groups and families, all of which were taken care of with care.
