I’ve heard about Joes for a while but just got to visit here today. Great lunch specials! We had the pizza, salad and garlic bread. Everything tasted great. Excellent service too. Plenty of free parking. Atmosphere was casual and very friendly. We’ll be back!

Today we stopped by this hidden gem and were pleasantly surprised! The prices were very affordable, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We’re giving 5 stars based on the value, we know there are higher end places out there, but for what you pay here, it truly exceeds expectations. It was a wonderful find, and we’re already looking forward to coming back soon. Highly recommend!

We stopped by at Joe's for a quick lunch. We ordered the spaghetti and a combo that included lasagna, manicotti, and penne pasta. The garlic bread brought to the table when we sat down was warm, buttery, and garlic delicious. We had a side salad that was large enough for 2. We liked the ranch and the Italian dressings. The spaghetti had a sweeter marinara and the combo was a little hard to tell what things were because they were covered with delicious mozzarella. I dug through the dish and was able to separate the parts to taste each one. The combo dish was good, but I want to try each of them individually to get a good taste of each. Service was quick and they were very friendly. The dining room was calm with a lot of wood decorations. I enjoyed the experience, and the only negative was the food was not hot. The food came out steaming from the warmer, but when we dug into the food, it was only warm. I didn't bring it up to the staff because we were in a hurry and the food tasted good. We will go back to try the pizza and the Joe's Salad that looked great on the menu.

Ok, let me first say the way Joe has the building decorated is very artistic and culturally beautiful. When I first walked in, I was greeted immediately. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the staff was very polite and professional. The food was delicious, great quality along with great pricing is my kind of place. I will be back to try other dishes.

First time going here and the food was good. My dish was fine until I started eating the chicken. It had an odd taste to it as if it were going bad possibly? I dont know but the pasta and sauce were delicious. My husband had the Italian sampler and devoured it. My mother in law loved her meal as well. The tomato basil vinaigrette is *chefs kiss* I wish i could've taken it home with me. Overall its a great place for decently priced Italian and pizza.

Google
Very impressed. If you are one that likes the clam, mussel, shrimp woth linguine, well just get it here. I opted for the seafood 2 that was with fettuccine and it was awesome. Husband said his Italian combo was very good. Bread was excellent with wedding soup. Tea was perfect strength. Prices were on point and left full and happy.

Google
Family friendly restaurant. Wide variety menu, sure everyone can find something to choose. Service was fantastic and the food was better than average. We googled looking for an Italian restaurant in the area and we weren’t disappointed. Definitely worth stopping in and giving a try. Also their garlic knots were awesome. Fresh and soft with right amount of garlic flavor. I asked for a few to take home with my leftovers.

Google
This place is always packed with cars so decided to try it. Went when it was rainy out, so it wasn't too busy. Service was fast. We were immediately seated and waited on. They start you off with rolls with butter, and those were pretty fresh. We started with the shrimp scampi, and it had such good flavor! The sauce was perfect for dipping the rolls in. Just trust me. Lol. We tried the meaty pizza they offered, and the pizza was really good! Had the perfect crisp, the right amount of sauce and ingredients tasted fresh. We ended with the lemon cake they offered, and it was too lemony to my liking. It's not too sweet, though, so if lemony is your thing, definitely try it. Overall, 10/10 recommend this place.

Yelp
Pretty sure this used to be a Pizza Hut. If it was it's a big step up in quality of food. Staff is great and so is the food.

Yelp
The service is very nice and attendant. The bread was hot and fresh but the oil was a 1 out 10 I think if they tone down on the amount of garlic cloves they put it would taste 10x better. The lasagna was amazing and the pizza was as well. The food tasted fresh and will be back again

Yelp
I really like Joe's. We order from here a lot. Mainly pizza though the occasional pasta dish. Pizza crust is great. Like the variety of toppings available. Never been inside so can't comment on service or ambiance, but will try it sometime this new year!

Yelp
We really enjoy. Good Italian food at a good price . Service is great in this family owned restaurant and the atmosphere is casual. Forgot to take pictures of main meal but I like the two samplers. Nice and cheesy.

Kimberly D.

Yelp
Homemade Pasta made in the restaurant. Need I say anything more?! :). The service is great. Food is awesome

Yelp
Food was so good. I had the Pasta sampler. All were outstanding. She had the Italian sampler and was very good as well. I picked up to go and they could not have been nicer! Go and enjoy!!

Yelp
Was craving some pasta and came across Joe's Italian Restaurant. Seated quickly and my server Sharlotte got me set up with some water and a Shiner Bock. Went with the Spaghetti & Meatballs but also requested some sausage too. The meal came with a soup and the special was a Chicken Tortellini with spinach and it was DELICIOUS...rich, creamy, and the tortellini perfectly cooked. They brought out some bread rolls along with an oil and seasoning mixture for dipping. The bread is nice and warm but the oil mixture is too heavy on the garlic for me. The pasta was perfectly Al-dente and the sauce was very good and stuck well onto the noodles, love it when places serve pasta with a spoon for twirling. The meatballs were OK but seemed to lack seasoning, but the sausages were really good, loved the grill marks and flavor. Overall a good pasta dish with nice flavors and enough leftover for another meal. Very good food and wonderful service! Note: I saw some of the pizza's and a Calzone being delivered to other tables and they looked good.

Yelp
A place we've been going to as a family for many years and it's special. The food is great and the personal attention is something to be noted A cornerstone in Conroe. Joe is noted for his support to a lot of local

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because this wasn't really on my radar, but I'm so glad we went. --- --- --- Months ago, my wife and I brought our son here for lunch. There was no cell service, so our hot spot wasn't working on our iPad. When you have a toddler, an iPad is a necessity to enjoy a peaceful meal. And unfortunately, there was an incredibly impatient and irritable diner that was loudly voicing his displeasure with our child's whining. This resulted in us abruptly leaving before we even ordered our meals. Fast forward to visit #2: we went without the kiddo and had the complete opposite experience. Both of us were eyeing the chicken parmesan and we came very close to just ordering two of them. But while I was scrolling through photos, I came across one that looked incredibly appealing. It was not captioned, so I showed a photo to the waiter and asked what it was. He wasn't sure, but called someone else over, who said that it was called "Veal Messina". It wasn't on the menu but it was something they could make. While I had no idea what to expect, I took the risk and went for that. I'm so glad I did because it was amazing. The only downside is that it was incredibly heavy and creamy, so I couldn't finish my plate (a shockingly rare occurrence for me), but the flavor was amazing. It was almost like eating pasta with syrup, it was so rich. The wife's chicken parm was also great, as was everything else: the bread, the salad, the service and everything about the experience. I'm so glad we came back here and we will definitely return in the future... without a child!

Yelp
Great Food! Quality service! Joe's set the bar years ago on Italian food for the Montgomery County area! Nobody has a problem with this place! Joe is an upstanding citizen as well!!!

Yelp
Average. Nothing special. Linguini and clam sauce very salty. Service was ok. Ambiance was average.

Yelp
Well never thought I'd have to make this review, but I ordered food from Joe's at 6:28 on Uber eats and called them at 6:28, at which time I asked for an accommodation for my food, and the girl said that they already made my food so they are unable to do so. I asked to speak to the manager, at which time I was placed on hold before being hung up on. I called back and the "manager" (who was covering for the main manager) argued with me stating that I didn't call for 3-4 minutes until after the order was made (though I have proof otherwise) and that he would simply only make changes to half of my order but not the other half since it was already made. This whole ordeal took 13 minutes for him to tell me this, but if it was resolved when I called, instead of arguing about how I called "too late," then maybe I would have been able to enjoy Joe's as I simply do every other time. I will not be going back to Joe's after how I was treated tonight, what a shame. See pictures for reference.

Yelp
This place reminded me of some of the fabulous little neighborhood restaurants back in New York. The interior was warm and relaxed. The food was off the charts and a surprising find in Conroe. Salads were not fancy but featured great, fresh ingredients. The Marsala sauce was rich, the veal appropriately pounded and the rolls were hot and buttery. Portions are huge! Service too was impressive with servers taking care of each others tables so that no one waited more than a minute. You've gotta go!

Steve K.

Yelp
Service was good...greeted coming in and leaving by the owner. Pasta was good, pizza was better (made me a little nostalgic about pizza from my younger days!). It was small and crowded, but clean and easy to navigate. When I go back, I will ask for the pizza to be cooked a little more "well done", but it was good out of the fridge two days later. I was a fan of the sauce...more tangy than sweet. Only "complaint" is the "focaccia" is cheese bread with sliced tomatoes...not the chopped tomatoes, basil and and mozzarella that is more traditional.

Yelp
Everything! Atmosphere, sunny staff, great food, treated very well! Consistently good food and great helping the local community!

Yelp
We have been enjoying Joes Italian for at the very least 10 years. So now I'm sad after 2 poor visits and a smug run in with the manager to say we will not be returning. The first visit a month or so back the rolls were hard, which is disappointing because the rolls were always so soft and warm. They were hard so we asked for a new basket hoping they were just an older batch from that day. But unfortunately they came back hard again. Now today 09/03/23 we decided to try again because Joes is one of my favorite places and we all have problems sometimes. Yet again the rolls were very hard, the waitress told us the oven broke and the dough was brought in from Dallas, apologized and brought a new batch. Still hard. Bummer. Then we got our dinner salads, they were wilted pieces of iceberg lettuce with no greens. Very poor quality salad for a $17/$18+ meal. Lastly our main course came out and both were baked in a thick mess of cheese. I ordered the manicotti and added spinach. I am a serious cheese lover, so when I say there was too much cheese I mean TOO much cheese. The same case for the spinach lasagna. Maybe cut back on the cheese and use that money for quality products.. We decided we had had enough of the baked cheese dishes and asked for the check. When we spoke to the manager at the front, instead of being humble and apologetic about a poor experience he was extremely smug and confrontational biting back with excuses to our complaints. Use that saved money from cutting back on cheese and find you a manager that knows how to treat customers. Pitiful.

Yelp
I will always choose this as my favorite Italian place in Conroe! The service is impeccable & the menus is expansive while being made fresh, in the kitchen.

Yelp
Our family has always loved Joe's Italian resturant. They are so consistant with there food and customer service is the best. I love that they love and support our community in so many ways. Hats off to the owner.

Yelp
Not a good experience with the food. me and my boyfriend went and neither liked our dinner. He barely ate his calzone and I sent mine back and didn't get anything to replace it..maybe just a off night for the chef. Waited was very nice and understanding!

Yelp
Been eating here several times a year for 18 years and never had a bad meal. ask them to brown the Calamari, its the best....

Yelp
I'm really impressed by this restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, and very affordable. Portions are also pretty good, but not overwhelming. We have been looking for a good Italian place, and it is worth the drive because of how good it is. Highly recommend the sampler or the chicken Alfredo! Our waitress was very nice. They're very to the point, but in a good way! They give vibes of the more you come the more they'll learn about and connect with you. Like visiting friends who just happen to serve your food. It's a small quaint atmosphere. It is an open concept which I'm eh on. I do like the idea of a little bit of privacy, but it's like eating in a family gathering. However, if it's full I could see it being a bit loud. It was probably about half full when we ate there. Noise wise level was probably medium. To wrap it up though it was a great and amazing place to come to get a great and affordable meal. I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Meh, it just did not taste fresh. Not one of our party even finished half of there main dish. Bread was warm but not very pleasant to eat. I'm 50/50 on whether I even want to try again. It was packed so I assume the food would be great but unfortunately those that packed inside for good food have not had any good Italian. Definitely better than Olive Garden. Good luck in trying it.

Yelp

Yelp
We tried Joe's for the first time in November 18, 2023 when meeting my best friend of over 50 years and her husband. It was also their first time as well after they recently moved to Conroe from Corpus Christi. Oh my goodness, this is the best Italian food at a restaurant we have ever had. My husband is 100% Italian and said the food is as close to his Mom & grandmothers cooking we have had. My husband loved the marinara sauce because he said it was made with San Mariano tomatoes just like his Mom & grandmothers used in their marinara sauce. All 4 of us loved our meals and said it was the best Italian food we had ever had at a restaurant. All was made with fresh ingredients and so delicious we were all in food comas after eating. The portions were big and generous. The bread was hot and fresh. The oil & garlic dip was perfect just the way we love it with extra garlic. Service was also excellent. The prices are actually a little cheaper than most Italian restaurants we've been to. Can't wait to go to Joe's again soon.

Yelp
So I'm so upset, we have eaten here so many time and this used to be my favorite place for pizza. When they first opened the New York Pizza is what brought us here. The last few times the pizza has been so sub par. The big thing for me is crispy bottom cheese pizza, the last 3 times we have been in we have asked for extra well done crust, yet we have gotten pizza with a crust with the consistency of wet paper towel. The service was top notch, and the ambiance perfect, the one thing that I gave noticed is when Joe himself is not here this is the quality we receive. The saving grace today is they credited the bill and we left.

Arianna R.

Yelp
Boyfriend and I love Joes. We order all the time from Doordash, and we decided to finally go in person for the first time to eat here. We were seated immediately and asked what we wanted to drink. Drinks came fast and were cold along with hot breads. However, we didn't get our order taken or anyone stopping by to help us for 30 minutes. The table that got seated right after us had already been done with their salad and received food by the time our order was placed. One of the waitresses walked by and asked if we wanted more bread and we said yes, just to never see her again. We knew what we wanted to order after 5 minutes from sitting down. When we placed our order, the mozzarella sticks came out fast and then our food followed shortly. Everything was hot but it still kinda upset us with the wait. After being halfway done with our food, we asked for more bread because we were waiting to see if it would come. The busboy/drink kid was nice and kept asking us if we needed refills on our drink. It was cool how they had wine recommendations. It just kinda irked us with the wait. We wanted to order dessert and food to go for tomorrow but wanted to just leave after eating since we were there longer than originally expected since we wanted to order so long.

Yelp
Joe's is a regularly monthly stop for our family. The restaurant is small, but has great food and great service! It's relatively quite in the restaurant. Even at dinner time, when there are bigger families in there, it never gets too loud that I can't hear myself. I recommend getting the pizza or any pasta dish. You can't go wrong! Their salad is also fantastic. Something we always ask for a special order of is the Garlic Oil. They have a beautiful blend of fresh garlic oil with herbs and spices that goes perfectly on their fresh warm bread! If you think you should stop, I 10/10 recommend!!

Yelp
Wait was alright.(came in during Valentine's Day). Bread was alright but dry as hell. The lasagna that my partner had was too cheesy and dripping everywhere. My pasta was average and did not finish it. Service was good. The price for such mid Italian food was crazy. Would not come back, sorry Joe....
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
I came across this place while staying in Conroe for work and I always try to support small businesses when I can. I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and delectable the food was. Joe's is the closest to authentic Italian food you'll find in the area. I got the spinach tortellini and Caesar salad to-go, and it came with garlic bread - everything was delicious! I even went back again the following day for lunch and got the chicken Albanese which was also very tasty (not pictured). The prices are reasonable relatively speaking and the staff is attentive and friendly. Anytime I'm in Conroe, this place will be at the top of my list!

Yelp
This place is quaint. Sinatra, Deano and other classic artists on the sound system gives you that warm Italian feeling. They bring out their bread nice and warm with butter. Their cheesy bread is awesome too. They have a garlic dip that is outrageous! They don't use garlic powder, they use chunky bits of garlic! I got the linguine with shrimp, clams and mussels. They definitely use San Marzano tomatoes because their sauce has that hint of sweetness and it's so good. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana. She thought it was delicious. I am definitely going to try the stuffed mushrooms and the calamari next time. For great tasting Italian food, you've got to try Joes. You won't be disappointed. Ci vediamo lì.

Sue R.

Yelp
We have been going to Joe's since it opened. His food is always consistently good . We definitely like his NY style pizza and meatball heros with loads of mozzarella cheese! As soon as you walk in the door you get fresh baked rolls and butter....delicious. Also must be mentioned..Joe gives away free food to help first responders. Always feel welcome by staff

Alexis P.

Yelp
Had the chicken Parmesan it was mid waiter didn't tell me everything in the salad so I had to send it back 1.50 for garlic and oil the restaurant was packed. Server told me be careful my plate was hot only the center was hot ranch was runny and my spaghetti was disgusting great sauce bad noodles 2 stars because it was timely and a pretty good price $15 before tip n I got the lunch special
google avatar

Yelp
Joes Italian for lunch. First time there the parking lot was full but there were plenty of tables available. Joes does italian food very well. Everything we ordered the; Italian-chicken soup was rich and creamy full of things my wife would make those happy sounds over. Yummm. The Focaccia - Homemade fresh toasted bread with fresh garlic tomatoes and melted cheese was absolutely fantastic they had to of made the bread that morning. The Caeser salad was fresh just the right amount of tanginess. A Eggplant Parmigiana sub was really outstanding for 9.95. The chicken Marsala over angle hair pasta was a rich brown sauce full of mushrooms and wine - few could do it better than Joes. Dessert was a perfect Tiramisu my wife couldn't keep her fork out of - we were sharing. Easy on the wallet for what we ordered and plenty to take home. Service just right! There is a mountain of choices on the menu and I will be back to try them. Great Job Joe!

Yelp
We got back from Italy last year and the food here was much better than it was in any part of Italy that we were in! Support local owned restaurants and enjoy a huge and extremely well priced and they all with a wonderful service staff in a clean location.

Elias E.

Yelp
Great food, quick service. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the servers give good input on meal choices

Yelp
Always on point & I love their chicken & vegetable soup- The rolls with the garlic & olive oil are super yummy! Sorry no pics this go around.

Yelp
Very good food. Very nice and attentive waitstaff. Great alternative to the big chain restaurants.

Yelp
First time coming here and I enjoyed every food plate down to the service! It had such a great atmosphere, I would definitely be coming back. Better than Olive Garden lol

Amy E.

Yelp
Always great service fast and friendly Great rolls and nice pasta dishes that always have leftovers
google avatar

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't already reviewed Joe's. Y'all this is simply the best Italian food I think I've had. It's from scratch, large portions, affordable prices and terrific service. Always get ranch for your salad because it's homemade. There is no other ranch like it or as good. Seriously, don't just come for the ranch dressing. The pasta is perfection. Also, if you're a wine drinker, their wines are quite good and affordable.

David G.

Yelp
Food is great the ambiance and service is amazing. I never pass up a chance to go eat at Joes.

Hanna S.

Yelp
Ran in & ordered a chicken fettuccine meal to-go. Waited at the bar for about 10 mins and it was ready! At 6pm rush hour. Fresh & very flavorful. Sauce was really good. Will be our new italian spot.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Really good pizza. We had been looking for a local, non-chain fresh baked pizza. They delivered. Garlic rolls good. They will even give you some marinara for the side. Some dishes could use a bit of salt and pepper, and service was a bit chaotic as they were busy. Definitely an older crowd here especially at lunch.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
This is a really nice place to come and have a peaceful meal. The food was great, the garlic bites were wonderful. Very good service here. But the ambience, is really a nice touch and feel and warms my heart. Thank you!
