My husband has been wanting to go to Joe's New York Pizza for a few months now! After an event that we had at UNLV on a Wednesday evening, we decided to grab a late dinner around 8:00 P.M at Joe's New York Pizza. This location is next to Insomnia Cookies and Big Chicken, near Paradise/Harmon.
When we entered, there was only one other family inside the restaurant. It was our first time here, so we took our time looking over the menu. I wanted to at least bring home a XL pizza, half cheese and half pepperoni for the next few days leftovers!
The team member who was assisting us was new at Joe's New York Pizza. He had just started working there about 2 weeks ago, but it felt like he had been there for years! He was super helpful and went over the entire menu with us. Joe's New York Pizza also sold pizza by the slices as well! In stock they had a few different slices from BBQ Chicken Pizza, Cheese, Pepperoni, Veggie, and much more!
I was craving BBQ Wednesday evening. I ended up ordering 5 BBQ chicken wings and a slice of their BBQ Chicken Pizza. My husband ended up ordering a slice of their pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and olives!
The team warmed up the slices first. The pizza was warmed up perfectly in the stove oven! The bottoms weren't burnt at all! The dough was a little thick though. There was a lot of BBQ sauce on the pizza, but the chicken and cheese helped to enhance the flavor and texture! My husband enjoyed his pizza slice. I had a bite of it and the sausage was scrumptious! It wasn't spicy at all!
Shortly afterwards, the BBQ chicken wings came out. There were 3 large drumsticks and 2 flats. I ended up eating the flats! The chicken was tender and juicy. The BBQ sauce was relatively sweet! I'd order their Jumbo chicken wings again! Perhaps I would try a mild buffalo sauce next time.
We took the XL pizza to go. The next day, we warmed it up in the oven and air fryer. It came out delicious, but I was surprised at how little marinara sauce was on the pizza. Most of the ingredients consisted of the cheese and pepperoni, but it was still yummy!
If I was near Paradise/Flamingo area and craving some pizza, I would stop by Joe's New York Pizza again! It's a family-owned restaurant! They make their own sauce and dough, fresh daily!
