Eight years ago my family had the gall to go to Boston without me. For eight years I’ve heard non-stop about how good the caramel bread pudding at Joe’s was. After finally trying it, they were right. It was bomb. Highlights were the delicious cheeseburger spring rolls, clam chowder, and lobster rolls. Mashed potatoes were also good, but I will note they came out cold. Chicken piccata had good flavor but it wasn’t anything to write home about. Could probably get better at another restaurant in the North End but still tasty as a whole. A little watery for my taste. Our waitress, Meg, was a delight. Very sweet and attentive. It was a great place to enjoy a cold beer and watch the Celtic’s game.

Had the lovely opportunity to have Carolyn/Carolin as our server and she was amazing. She was so nice and welcoming. She talked to our table about herself and held conversation more than just basic customer service. The food was amazing and had great portions. The staff were all wonderful and inviting! The view was very nice as we were sat next to the windows. Some may find the prices a bit high, however you are paying for quality food. I ordered the 10 hr rack of ribs and it fell off the bone. The fries were perfect and everyone else at my table were very satisfied and full by the end of the meal. The restaurant is very clean and well organized! Very nice restaurant to go to! (picture is of their clam chowder and it is the BEST I have ever had) Also their artichoke dip is AMAZING!

Really nice dining experience! I found the prices remarkable reasonable given the water front location. David and I especially enjoyed the lobster topped nachos. The vegan bowl I had for my entree was well prepared and David loved his oyster selection. Everyone in our dining party enjoyed their meals as well. The service was a bit lacking but it was NYE too.

This is an upscale casual restaurant on the water. Excellent atmosphere, attentive staff, great quality food, and an amazing location. Couldn’t be happier with this place, highly recommend!!

Ambience: 3, upstairs was giving quince Hall vibes. Service: 3, wasn’t terrible but wasn’t attentive either. Never got my cheese. Food: 3. My linguini was almost dry and not much for sauce but to my surprise it comes with 6 shrimp which is almost unheard of. Said Cheese would have been appreciated. For just food and 1 wine and 1 beer almost $100.

Great food, service, and music. French Onion Soup and clam chowder bread bowl was delicious. We split the Captains Platter and it was more than enough for 2. This is a Boston must!!!!

Wanted a nice place on the waterfront. Found Joe’s near our hotel. Lobster roll was good. Wife had the wedge salad with salmon. Staff was mostly young and everyone was friendly. Inside and outside seating. They even split two tables so we could sit in the shade outside. Beer was cold and a decent selection. Liked to just sit and people watch the walkers. They are dog friendly. There was a dog dish with ice water on the ground as we entered the property.

While traveling last October, my husband and I chose to enjoy dinner at Joe's Waterfront restaurant for dinner. We were promptly seated; our drink orders were taken within a few minutes of being seated. When the drinks arrived our dinner orders were taken. Staff other than our server delivered our food. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, we did not see our server again until she dropped off the ticket. We were never approached about ordering additional drinks or receiving drink refills. Most important, be very aware when paying your check. I always prefer to trust the honesty of the restaurant when reviewing our check. Like lots of other restaurants, Joe’s did include suggested tip amounts. Be very very alert here with this restaurant!! Our total order was $86.67 – the receipt shows 18% as $27.54, 20% was shown as $30.68 and 22% was shown as $33.66. DO YOUR OWN MATH unless you enjoy tipping approximately 40% for mediocre service!!!! This restaurant has proven to be very deceitful when posting their tip percentages. They obviously use a different calculator than the rest of us. Our daughter was a server for many years. We know firsthand how important tipping is. But we also know the value of an attentive server and the honesty and reliability of a given restaurant. Joe’s failed both attributes. Even though the food was delicious, I hated even giving a 1 star review. Honesty is a huge factor for me.
